Days: 6 days Time: May Per capita: ¥ 2500 and Who: Mom
Beijing is the city I have always wanted to travel to. Perhaps because it is the first time in my country, I have this emotion in my heart.
I remember when I was a child, my sister next door took the whole family to Beijing to play. My mother told me,"I may never have the chance to fly a plane in my life."
He said casually: "I will take you (parents) when I grow up." Unexpectedly, it became an impossible task in my life...
I don't want to wait until my mother can no longer walk before taking her out for a walk
My first trip after coming out to work was to Kunming, Dali and Lijiang alone. I went to play for a week, hoping to accumulate a few points for myself.
Some travel experience can be regarded as accumulating experience for going to Beijing.
Finally set the trip time for May 2017, and proposed to start making travel guides:
① Airfare (United Airlines ¥873/person, including aircraft construction, fuel, insurance), train ticket (¥104.5/person),(Qunar tickets have different discount tickets from many airlines, which are updated every half hour)
② I checked for hotels close to the attractions. Since I took my mother there, I decided to stay in a hotel for the two of us.(If a large family goes, you can rent a family apartment, which will be more affordable; recommendation: Ant short-term rental)
③ Check the must-see attractions in Beijing, introduction of attractions, tickets for attractions, matters to pay attention, etc.
④ Check Beijing's weather forecast three months in advance. This is very important. If it keeps raining, it will cause inconvenience to travel. (However, the weather in Beijing is not like that in the south, and it will not keep raining.)
③ Buy the Beijing Municipal Card on Taobao in advance and use it to travel and take the subway in Beijing. There is a 50% discount on the Municipal Card on public transportation, which is basically 1 yuan. (Two tickets for 155 yuan, each including a fare of 50 yuan and a deposit of 20 yuan. You can refund the card after you use it. There are many fixed card refund points in Beijing. If you find it troublesome, you can send it back to the merchant to refund it.) Before purchasing a card, ask if the merchant has a card refund service. If not, you can find another merchant to refund the card. Taobao merchants that have card refund services.
Warm reminder: Beijing's buses are very convenient and there are no traffic jams. Young people and office workers are rushing to the subway. I basically take buses in Beijing and have only taken the subway twice. Beijing's subway cannot be compared with Guangzhou. There are too many subway lines, no air circulation, and it is very stuffy.
The travel date was finally set for May 28, 2017, and the preliminary route was determined:
D1: Shaoguan-Guangzhou-Beijing (2017.5.28)
D2: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park (2017.5.29)
D3: Temple of Heaven Park, Yonghegong Temple, Gong Wangfu Mansion, Shichahai (2017.5.30)
D4: Summer Palace, Bird's Nest, Water Cube (2017.5.31)
D5: Yuanmingyuan, Tsinghua University, Peking University (2017.6.1)
D6: Badaling Great Wall (2017.6.2)
Departure on D1:
Shaoguan-Guangzhou-Beijing
Book the Guangzhou-Beijing ticket at Qunar in advance (departure at 2 noon on May 28), and purchase the high-speed rail ticket from Shaoguan to Guangzhou at 12306 before traveling (tickets around 10 a.m., enough time to check in).
Take the high-speed train from Shaoguan to Guangzhou South Railway Station. Take Metro Line 2 directly to the subway station on the first floor of Guangzhou South Railway Station. Go to Jiahe Wanggang and transfer to Metro Line 3 (south of the airport). Just get off Metro Line 2. Metro Line 3 is opposite.
Arriving at the south of the airport, when you exit the subway entrance (directly to the airport exit), there is an elevator directly to the third floor to get your boarding pass, check in your luggage, and after lunch, go to the boarding area to prepare for boarding.
As a result, the plane was half an hour late and arrived at Nanyuan, Beijing at 6 p.m.; in Nanyuan, Beijing, take the airport bus at ¥25/person (Xidan Line to Qianmen, get off and then transfer to the No. 8 bus) to Huayi Fashion Hotel Chongwenmen Store (booked in advance through Ctrip). When you arrive, it turned out to be a hotel with no separate place to take a shower. Chongwenmen is very close to Tiananmen Square. It's only 5 stops by bus.
I canceled the order directly and immediately found a nearby hotel (Jiajia Express Hotel). It is not recommended to stay in a hotel in Beijing. The environment is not very good and the price is similar to the standard room of the hotel. ( ¥198/night)(You must read carefully when booking a hotel in Beijing at Ctrip or Qunar. Many hotels use the banner of hotels)
Chongwenmen is close to the attractions on D2 and D3, and buses are also very convenient; there are also many hotels near Tiananmen, which can be booked by Ctrip and wherever you go (booking a hotel by Ctrip explains the approximate distance to the attractions).
Shipping ¥60 for meals ¥50 for subway ¥8 for airport shuttle ¥50 for dinner ¥46 for accommodation ¥396 for two nights Total cost: ¥610
D2
Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park (2017.5.29)
Go out at 8 a.m. and take the No. 8 bus (heading towards Qianmen) at Yangshikou Station. After 3 stops, the fourth stop will be taken.front doorEastGet off the bus and look in the direction in front of the car park. You can see Tiananmen Square. However, to enter Tiananmen Square, you have to walk about 400 meters to pass the security check.
As long as you enter the Tiananmen Gate from Tiananmen Square, you need to have security checks, unless you take a bus directly to the bus stop near the Tiananmen Gate and walk into the Tiananmen Gate. However, it is recommended to enter the Tiananmen Gate from Tiananmen Square, because the square is the place where the national flag is raised, and there are the Great Hall of the People and the Monument to Heroes along the way.(If you want to see the raising of the national flag at Tiananmen Square, you should check the time of the flag raising at Tiananmen Square on the Internet in advance, because the time of the flag raising is determined based on the sunrise and sunset time in Beijing, and the specific time was specially calculated by Lin Heng, an astronomer at the Beijing Observatory.)
The flag-raising time on May 29 is 4:50 a.m.. You have to go to the square one hour in advance to get closer to see the flag-raising. Because I slept late the day before, I gave up watching the national flag raising.
Note: There are team security checks and individual passenger security checks. There are signs, so if you don't know how to speak, you can ask the staff near the square. Many volunteers and police uncles in Tiananmen Square can consult them.
My mother and I walked through Tiananmen Square. We wanted to take a photo in Tiananmen Square when we came to Beijing on a rare occasion. As a result, even if we adjusted the focus, my mother still couldn't. The only photo taken in the square was vague. I became the background of Tiananmen Square. But it doesn't matter, just be happy.
After walking through the square, you cannot directly cross the Tiananmen Gate from the main road. You have to cross through the tunnel (there are guide signs), or you can follow the flow of people to find the tunnel. On the way into the city gate, there were many police uncles standing guard.
After entering the city gate, I went to buy a gate ticket (¥15/person) and stored my luggage/backpack (¥4/bag). It was full of stories about Tiananmen Square, and there was nothing to read, but since I was here, I would go up and have a look.
Note: Only small items such as mobile phones, cameras, and wallets are allowed to take on Tiananmen Gate Tower. Backpacks are not allowed. There is a place to store bags next to the ticket office. If two people go, they can divide their duties and cooperate. One person buys tickets and the other person stores bags.aMake sure to store your bags, otherwise you will be stopped when queuing up to enter the city building and asked to store your bags before climbing the city tower.
After climbing the tower, we went to the luggage storage place to pick up our bags. After picking up our bags, we ate something at the restaurant in the scenic spot (it is not recommended to eat in the restaurant. There is nothing to eat in the restaurant in Tiananmen Square. It is best to buy some bread outside and eat at the scenic spot.)
After entering Tiananmen Square, follow the flow of people and you will see the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City, which is the gate to enter the Forbidden City. We bought tickets for the Forbidden City on Ctrip. We couldn't enter the palace until after 12 o'clock in the afternoon. My mother and I went to the Tongzi River outside the Forbidden City to wander and rest. Wait to enter the Forbidden City in the afternoon.
Warm tip: It is best to buy tickets to enter the Forbidden City online one day in advance, and use your ID card to swipe them directly, without changing paper tickets; if you arrive at the Forbidden City to buy tickets, you will have to queue up for a long time. There are no seasons and seasons in the Forbidden City. There are always many people.
It was nearly 12 o'clock, we were going to the Meridian Gate to queue up to enter the park. After entering, we saw a large area of the Forbidden City Tower. Fortunately, we had done our homework in advance and found which route should we take.
The Forbidden City is very large. Currently, only Shenwu Gate (North Gate) and Wumen Gate (South Gate) are used as tourist entrances and exits. There are three more commonly taken routes:
Route 1: Meridian Gate-Taihe Gate-Taihe Hall-Zhonghe Hall-Baohe Hall-Painting Hall-Clock Hall-Qianqing Gate-Ceramics Hall-Bronze Hall-Qianqing Palace-Jiaotai Hall-Kunning Palace-Imperial Garden-Qin 'an Hall-Shenwu Gate
Route 2: Meridian Gate-Taihe Gate-Taihe Hall-Zhonghe Hall-Baohe Hall-Clock Hall-Military Aircraft Office-Yangxin Hall-Yongshou Palace-Changchun Palace-Yikun Palace-Chuxiu Palace-Imperial Garden-Kunning Palace-Jiaotai Hall-Qianqing Palace-Qianqing Gate-Ningshou Palace-Zhenfei Well-Shenwu Gate
Route 3: Meridian Gate-Taihe Gate-Taihe Hall-Zhonghe Hall-Baohe Hall-Clock Hall-Military Aircraft Office-Yangxin Hall-Yongshou Palace-Changchun Palace-Taiji Hall-Yikun Palace-Chuxiu Palace-Imperial Garden-Kunning Palace-Jiaotai Hall-Qianqing Palace-Zhai Palace-Jingren Palace-Chengqian Palace-Zhongcui Palace-Yanxi Palace-Yonghe Palace-Jingyang Palace-Jiulong Wall-Ningshou Palace-Ningshou Palace Garden-Zhenfei Well-Shenwu Gate
Leaving our footprints in the Forbidden City
I did my homework in advance before going to the Forbidden City. We chose Route 2 and we played for nearly two hours.
We came out from Shenwu Gate. Opposite Shenwu Gate is Jingshan Park. I heard that you can see the Forbidden City at 360 degrees on top of Jingshan Park. Although my mother and I were very tired, we still insisted on climbing Jingshan Park to see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City. The park is not high, and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the top.
After seeing the panoramic view of the Forbidden City, we rested for about half an hour and then took the bus back to the hotel to rest to write a summary and arrange the next day's itinerary.
The next day's trip is in Haidian District, so I have to stay nearby there. I have already booked a hotel closer to the attractions online in advance: Chengxuan Hotel.
Because I didn't want to visit the attractions and then come back to pick up my luggage the next day, I booked a luggage delivery service (¥29) on Ctrip at night and sent my luggage from Jiajia Express Hotel to Chengxuan Hotel, which was convenient and saved time.
D3:
Temple of Heaven Park, Yonghegong Temple, Gong Wang Mansion, Shichahai (2017.5.30)
Today's schedule was a bit intensive. I left my luggage at the front desk of the hotel at 8:30 and left the house.
Today's first stop is Temple of Heaven Park,
After getting off at Fahua Temple, you will reach Temple of Heaven Park for about 239 meters in the direction of the car.
Temple of Heaven Park can be said to be a place where the emperor worshiped heaven, giving people the feeling of leisure and comfort; many elderly people in Beijing run, play chess, and play poker here. What impressed me more is the fact that this park has a lot of cypress trees. Cypress trees are a symbol of evil spirits in Guangdong.
The main buildings in Temple of Heaven Park are: Hall of Prayer for Good Years, Emperor Firmament, and Circular Mound. Walking along the road, there are some small buildings along the way, including the Seven Star Stone.
Second stop Yonghegong
After getting out of the subway, walking from the left hand side, you can see the guide signs to the Lama Temple; we had lunch nearby and then went to the Lama Temple. This is a place where incense is burned and Buddha worship. It is not allowed to take photos or buy incense by yourself. The ticket already includes incense, and you can collect it by walking through the inner gate of the Lama Temple.
Third stop: Gong Wangfu
After burning incense in Yonghe Temple, we took a bus directly to Gong Wangfu
Gong's Mansion is located in an alley on the edge of Houhai. It is relatively secluded. You can ask nearby people how to get there.
Gong's Mansion is the mansion of He Shen, a major corrupt official. This mansion is very large, with rockery, pavilions in the middle of the lake, and places for singing and leisure. It can be said that there are mountains and rivers. A place that is very worth visiting
Gong's Mansion is quite big. You can slowly admire it inside, or walk to the promenade to rest and rest. The cool wind makes it very comfortable.
After coming out of Gong's Mansion, we navigated to Houhai. On the edge of Houhai, we tasted the snacks of old Beijing and listened to the singing of Houhai Bar Street. It also had a unique flavor.
Today's itinerary comes to an end here. I am going to take a bus to the Chengxuan Hotel booked at the Academy of Military Sciences in Haidian District.
When I arrived at Chengxuan Hotel, my luggage arrived early, so I picked up my luggage directly at the front desk and checked in.
Tiantian Park ¥68 Gongwangfu ¥80 Yongwangfu ¥50 Lunch ¥52 Bus ¥8 Accommodation for two nights ¥418 (including breakfast)
Total cost ¥676
D4:
Summer Palace, Bird's Nest, Water Cube (2017.5.31)
I checked out the guide for the Summer Palace on the Internet in advance. They all said that the Summer Palace was too big and would take a day to visit. We set off around 8:30 in the morning, and Chengxuan Hotel was relatively close to the attractions. However, it is inconvenient to go to the Bird's Nest because there is no bus directly to the entrance of the Bird's Nest
The Summer Palace has: 1. Xinjian Palace Gate (closest to the 17th Arch Bridge and Tongniu) 2. West Gate (not opened for a long time and closest to Beiwu Village) 3. North Ruyi Gate and South Ruyi Gate (near the Kunyu River Cruise Terminal) 4. East Gate of Dehe Garden
We chose to enter from Xinjian Palace Gate and visited the Summer Palace for more than 4 hours. We didn't visit all the main attractions. We were too tired
As soon as you enter the door, you walk along the road to the left hand side, and you soon reach Kunming Lake. After taking a short rest by the Kunming Lake, you can see Tongniu,
The seventeen-hole bridge connects Nanhu Island,
Xieyu Garden and many pleasant small attractions. After passing through Foxiang Pavilion, we went directly to Suzhou Street without going in.
You can go in and walk around Suzhou Street. It is all commercialized. I had lunch there. There was nothing to see, just a walk.
After coming out of Suzhou Street, I went directly back to the hotel to rest. After 6 pm, I bought delicious food and went to the Bird's Nest to watch the night view.
It is really inconvenient to get from Chengxuan Hotel to the Bird's Nest. There is no direct route. After getting off the car, I have to navigate to the Bird's Nest. I didn't see any cars on the road.
After arriving at the Bird's Nest, it was still dark. While eating and waiting for it to get dark, the Bird's Nest turned on the lights.
The Water Cube is opposite the Bird's Nest, but you have to walk to the square to see the Water Cube.
It's a good choice to come at night
I stayed here for nearly two hours before returning to the hotel.
Summer Palace ¥60 Suzhou Street ¥20 Lunch ¥43 Bus ¥6 Dinner ¥20 Total cost ¥143
D5:
Yuanmingyuan, Tsinghua University, Peking University (2017.6.1)
Yuanmingyuan, the garden of thousands of gardens, a place plundered by the Eight-Power Allied Forces
Follow the road and you will reach the 12 Zodiac Animals Exhibition Hall
Coming out of Yuanmingyuan, we passed Tsinghua University and Peking University, but didn't go in.(They are open on weekends and holidays. If you want to go in, there are also people who take them in. You need to pay some money. If you take students to Beijing to play, it is recommended to go in and have a look.)
In the afternoon, we took a bus to the Xishe Inn near the Badaling Great Wall. This is a B & B where we can eat and stay. reasonable price
Inside the inn {I met a Jiangxi family at the Xishe Inn and set off for the Great Wall the next day. I made an appointment with them to set off together (unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo with them)}
Yuanmingyuan ticket: ¥50 Bus fare: ¥20 Accommodation fee: ¥150 Meal fee: lunch + dinner ¥150
D6:
Badaling Great Wall (2017.6.2)
After breakfast, we were about to set off: Tiangong was a little uncomfortable and it started to rain (the owner of the inn contacted us with a raincoat seller, and we set off wearing a raincoat)
Rainy days add a lot of color to the Great Wall
There are three most Great Wall climbers in Beijing: Juyongguan Great Wall, Shuiguan Great Wall, and Badaling Great Wall. Badaling Great Wall is divided into the southern section and the northern eighth floor. Usually, there are more people climbing the northern eighth floor. After entering the Badaling Mountain Entrance, the right hand is the northern eighth floor, and the left hand is the southern section.
We also climbed the Great Wall of the North and reached the eighth floor of the North, but the one behind it was not open.
Note: The weather on the Great Wall is relatively unstable. It rains at any time and the sun comes out at any time. You should prepare rain gear.
After returning from the Great Wall, I returned to the Xishe Inn, packed my luggage, had lunch, and took the train to the Capital Airport (I booked the hotel on the way: Beijing Zhulu Inn Ocean Theme Boutique Hotel, a themed hotel with shuttle service)
Overall I am still very satisfied. (I can't remember the price)
D7
Return trip (2017.6.3)
Summary: This is the first time I travel with my family. I travel freely throughout the journey. I will be a little rushed and quite tiring. Online ride-hailing in 2017 was not as convenient as it is now; there are many people in Beijing's local tourism fairs, and the public transportation is relatively good. Now, it is more convenient to take online ride-hailing there. You don't have to worry too much about your luggage. It is inconvenient to take it to attractions and find delivery services.
There are many semi-pure play groups nowadays, and the prices are also very affordable. You don't have to plan yourself, just bring your luggage directly and go out with your ID card, and someone will pick you up and drop you off at the destination. I heard a lot of feedback saying that the food will be worse, and when it comes to eating, you can solve it yourself. After all, it is better to eat local specialties when you go.
Next time you go on a trip, you'd better find a semi-pure group instead of having to trouble yourself
