The ancient village of Moshikou, originally known as Moshikou, is named for its rich green stone whetstones. Since ancient times, it has been the ancient camel bell road leading from Kyoto to the outside of the Great Wall. This is where Xiangzi, the protagonist of "Camel Xiangzi" written by people's artist Lao She, came from. In February 1922, the ancient village became the first electrified village in the history of Beijing with electricity supplied to the capital by the Jingshi Huashang Electric Light Company and established a village-affiliated primary school. This successful example transformed the ancient village from the original "Moshikou" into the current "model entrance".

This cultural street, which has been restored and transformed into an Internet celebrity check-in, is 1500 meters long and is a street that runs through east and west. Walking on the newly built street, decorated with sculptures of camels, tigers, cats, pigeons on the roof, etc., let the ancient street present the collision of ancient culture and modern fashion.

Different from traditional pedestrian streets, this place not only has a dazzling array of shops, but also has a unique history and culture.
As one of the "six cultural business cards" in Shijingshan District, today I will take you together to walk from east to west from Moshikou Ancient Street to appreciate the charm of the Ancient Tuolling Road in western Beijing.

[Must go to the temple]

Fahai Temple can be called a treasure house hidden in the world;(One of the Five Wonders is Mandala Cajing, add relevant information) The two thousand-year-old white bark pine trees in front of the Daxiong Hall are the kings of white bark pine trees in Beijing; The large-scale murals of the Ming Dynasty in the Daxiong Hall are the essence of Fahai Temple; There are cypresses growing on each of the four corners of the small bridge, which is said to be an ancient cypress tree more than a century old, so it is called the "Four Cypresses and One Hole Bridge" and is engraved above the bridge hole on the east side. The Longniu ancient bronze bell is completely comparable to the Yongle Bell of Juesheng Temple, one of the world's four major bell kings. It is they that constitute the "Five Wonders" of Fahai Temple.

Walking into Fahai Temple, you will find the quiet ancient temple. A breeze from the mountains blows away the summer heat. The famous original murals of the Ming Dynasty are still preserved on the main hall wall on the roof of this yellow glazed tiled hall. The murals of Fahai Temple are known as the most murals in the Ming Dynasty. Compared with the murals of Dunhuang and Yongle Palace, they have their own merits and are comparable to the murals of the European Renaissance. In order to protect cultural relics, it is strictly forbidden to take photos, audio recordings, and video recordings, and it is strictly forbidden to bring food, drinks, etc. to visit the authentic murals in the Daxiong Hall. Chengen Temple·Yanjing Eight Wonders Museum is only 400 meters away from Fahai Temple. It is a four-entrance courtyard, including the Shanmen Hall, the Tianwang Hall, the Daxiong Hall and the Dharma Hall. According to reports, the Tianwang Hall in the temple has completely preserved the murals of the Ming Dynasty. They have extraordinary content and artistic level, which are rare and were all made by royal painters. These murals are consistent with the style of the famous nearby Fahai Temple murals. They are all works from the mid-Ming Dynasty, and the murals here are of higher humanistic value. Unfortunately, the mural is under restoration and has not been opened to the public, so I missed an opportunity to appreciate it.

The temple building is also very characteristic. A stone watchtower has been built at each corner of the temple. The building is two-story high, about 10 meters high, square and has only simple stone windows, which is extremely rare among Beijing temples.

Beijing Yanjing Eight Wonders Museum is located in the thousand-year-old temple Cheng 'en Temple. It is the first intangible cultural heritage museum in Beijing City that combines the display of court art and the experience of court skills. The collection in the museum includes gold lacquer inlay, silk inlay, cloisonne, tooth carvings, jade carvings, carved lacquer, Beijing embroidery, and palace carpets, as well as hundreds of ancient wood carvings, root carvings, stone carvings and other craft collections.

The Cheng 'en Temple and Yanjing Eight Wonders Museum are currently under renovation and are expected to open in December. It is not open recently, please manage your time well.

[China Quaternary Glacier Relics Exhibition Hall]

China Quaternary Glacier Relics Exhibition Hall, which is a museum, or geological museum, built on glacier scratch relics, has popularized a lot of geographical knowledge. An inconspicuous trail on both sides starts from the Sinian to the Fourth Period.

The exhibition hall has two floors in total. The first floor includes a preface, glacier knowledge, glacier scratch protection area, and typical glacier landforms of the Earth's evolution and the Quaternary. It also has a multi-purpose hall where you can watch popular science films related to glaciers;

The second-floor exhibition hall mainly displays the distribution of modern glaciers, the relationship between glaciers and humans, the impact of climate change on glaciers and the research results of China's Quaternary glacier theory. It also features a multimedia interactive project experience to comprehensively understand the Quaternary glaciers.

When you come here, you can uncover many puzzles that you didn't know about, understand the geological conditions of China and the world from a more scientific perspective, and have a more comprehensive understanding of the earth we live in.

[Shijingshan District Stone Carving Cultural Relics Park]

There are many unknown mysterious treasures in the Moshikou area. Tianyi's tomb is one of them, which is now named the Shijingshan District Stone Carving Cultural Relics Garden.

There are a large number of stone carvings and stone carvings in the park, as well as exquisitely carved stone supplies in front of the tomb. It's worth seeing. There are two open tombs. Those who are brave can go in and have a look. There is a light source switch at the entrance.

In fact, it's not scary inside. Mini version of Dingling. The specifications are quite high. It is rare to build such a high-standard tomb for an eunuch.

Those who like history are recommended to take a closer look at those stone carvings. They are rich in content and are worth a look.

[Moshikou History and Folk Customs Exhibition Hall]

"Ancient Road Sicun"(Moshikou History, Culture and Folklore Exhibition Hall) was originally the "West Laoye Temple". After the changes of the times, it was contracted by surrounding residents to operate pharmacies. After the renovation and renovation, the museum exhibition model and the high-quality Internet celebrity coffee industry were introduced. Many characteristic cultural relics and scenic spots in the Moshikou area and characteristic folk customs in western Beijing will be excavated and displayed.

ZIP COFFEE×MOSI Zipper Coffee is located in the Moshikou Historical and Folklore Exhibition Hall. Enjoy the miniature landscape of history and culture in the courtyard. Enjoy a cup of coffee and feel the precipitation of history and culture.

Drinking courtyard-style coffee here and feeling the traces of history through old photos and old objects is indeed a unique experience!

[Two must-visit bookstores]

[Jingxi Bookstore]
At the entrance of Moshikou Street, there is a glass house decorated with brick and wood, surrounded by several camel sculptures standing or lying. The bluestone under the steps is engraved with the words "Ancient Road in West Beijing". It combines simplicity and modernity and is extremely elegant.

Climbing up the gray steps, there are tables and chairs at the entrance of the store to rest.

When you enter the store, you will be faced with bookshelf columns that lead directly to the roof. The four arches of the columns display a very powerful function. The book selection is very elegant and precise. At that time, the Ancient Beijing-West Road connected the capital in the east and the Great Wall in the west. Jingxi Bookstore was established by this publishing unit in Yinchuan, Ningxia, and it complements each other.

Across the book area are the reading area and the bar. Long wooden tables and chairs run through, and a Dunhuang mural is equipped on the wall. The store is not big, elegant and beautiful. If you like reading and taking photos, you can't miss this place.

[Fan Deng Bookstore]

Fandeng Bookstore, which was originally a dilapidated and old house, has been created by classifying, integrating and utilizing the current conditions and introducing the well-known brand "Fandeng Bookstore" to create a compound parent-child themed boutique that integrates parent-child experience, boutique B & Bs, and cultural bookstores. Boutique cultural courtyard.

This place not only provides you and your children with a home-like resting environment, a strong scholarly atmosphere and cultural and creative products with science fiction and scientific innovation attributes displayed inside and outside the hospital, but also stimulates children's enthusiasm for exploration and learning.

[A good place to walk a baby]

[Jingxi Old School]

A small shop with a strong traditional culture in Beijing and a store that loves traditional culture in Beijing. The rabbit in the store can be said to be the largest rabbit I have ever seen in Beijing. I can recommend taking my children to hang out during holidays and learn about Beijing's traditional culture.

There are also many activities in the store that allow guests to do it themselves, such as coloring with Grandpa Rabbit or other plastic, which is also quite interesting.

As a parent-child activity, it is a good choice. You can do handicrafts here and children like it very much.

[Jiamao Immersive Cat Experience Hall]
There is no way to solve your worries, only to rub the cat. There are many cat cafes in Beijing. Jiamao at No. 179 Moshikou Street, Shijingshan District is an immersive cat experience hall. There are 20 resident cats in the museum. Any one of them is a cute master, which is especially suitable for girls and children to check in!

You can play with you. The museum also provides entertainment equipment such as video games and small board games, and displays nearly a hundred cat-themed cultural and creative products.

The boss is particularly nice. There are not many people in normal days, and he will not rush him after a while. He will also pick docile cats and carry them to you. There are many types of cats, and they are all plump and extremely healing.

The immersive experience hall not only allows you to have close contact with pets, but also allows you to expose your high-profile circle of friends while rubbing cats.

[Model Mouth Cuisine]

When you come to Moshikou Street, you must try Fahai Temple fried cake, the "Internet celebrity food" here. Fried cakes and sesame balls are now made and sold right now. The outer skin is crispy and the glutinous rice is sweet. The homemade bean paste filling is smooth but not sweet, and is inexpensive.

The queue starts early in the morning, but if you come late, you won't be able to buy it.

Next to Fahai Temple fried cakes, there is also an online celebrity Shandong multigrain pancakes. Since these two shops are just at the fork in the mountain leading to Fahai Temple, they only attract visitors from surrounding residents and have become Fahai Temple and even Moshikou Street. An early adopter choice for tourists.

Holding the lukewarm pancake in my hand, it smells very appetizing. You can clearly see the layers of fillings inside, which is super satisfying.

[A restaurant worth visiting at Moshikou]

Huizhen Kitchen

Entering 200 meters from the east entrance, you will see Huizhen Kitchen, a specialty chain restaurant brand store. What was once a miscellaneous courtyard has now been transformed into a beautiful Chinese courtyard. Through courtyard-like scenery, it creates a new Chinese artistic conception and becomes a "characteristic garden restaurant", where it can enjoy delicious food while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Recommend signature specialties, kitchen signature smelly mandarin fish, hairy tofu on the tip of the tongue, Huangshan bamboo shoots, etc.

Grandma's kitchen is an American Western restaurant that combines Chinese "tastes". It uses fresh ingredients, creative dishes and skilled cooking skills to create a series of delicacies.

Spanish sausage brunch is recommended, which contains Parma ham, garlic bread, prawns, fried potato wedges and other ingredients. The ingredients are rich. Good ingredients and reasonable collocation make the dishes more balanced and delicious. It is paired with a secret sauce and is delicate. The fragrant taste is endless between the lips and teeth.

The deck next to the transparent glass window and the open terrace on the second floor are all excellent holy places to show off, and the atmosphere is completely grasped.

Jing 199

This is a quiet courtyard house that combines a bar and a characteristic courtyard. After visiting the model entrance for a day, you will suddenly feel enlightened when you step into the door. Anjing is a rare piece of pure land.

There are many varieties of cocktails here, and I chose the very famous Manhattan. Although it is a bit hot, it suits my mood. Negroin is also good, with both face value and taste online.

Listen to healing music here to end a perfect day.
