It is bordered by Cuiwei Mountain in the north and Yongding River Diversion Canal in the south. It was established in 1989 and is one of the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Beijing City. It is the only natural science museum in my country and even Asia built on the relics of Quaternary glaciers.
