The main attractions in Beijing are all on Line 1 and can be reached by basic subway, so two aspects were considered when choosing a hotel. One is that it is close to the subway station, and the other is that there are nucleic acid testing points nearby.(During the epidemic, because no matter where you go, you have to scan Beijing's health code, and it seems that nucleic acid testing is valid for only 24 hours. During the insurance period, nucleic acid testing is done every day). The hotel we stayed in matched both points and was a good value for money.

After getting off the high-speed train at noon on the first day, take Metro Line 14 directly for two stops to Jingtai Station, and walk about 8 minutes to the hotel. The overall service of the hotel is good, except that the facilities are a little old, the air conditioner is a little loud, and the breakfast is abundant, which is relatively cost-effective. After check-in, my son wanted to eat hotpot. There is a restaurant called Ya 'er Li Ji hotpot near the hotel. It was the first meal in Beijing, and it tasted good.

After lunch, take the subway to Qianmen Dazhalan (Metro Line 14 Yongdingmen and turn to Line 8 to Qianmen). Because of the epidemic, there are not so many people, many snacks, fried noodles, etc., but because we ate hotpot meat, we have no room to eat anything else, so we can only take a look.

You can see Zhengyang Gate when you get off the subway

Bypass the Arrow Tower and walk for 5 minutes to Zhengyang Bridge. Inside is a pedestrian street and Dazhalan is nearby.

After visiting Dazhalan, because the weather was too hot, we wanted to find a cool place to rest. There was a place to make nucleic acid nearby after a break. We also had a nucleic acid test. We took the subway back to the hotel in the evening and ate Qingfeng steamed buns near the hotel. To be honest, fried sauce noodles were average.

the next day

I woke up naturally after sleeping, got up at around 7 o'clock, washed up and went to the hotel for breakfast. The breakfast was still very rich.

Please ignore the burnt bread baked by a child. Haha, it's too dark.

After breakfast, we went to the Temple of Heaven and looked at the map. It was very close to the hotel. So we swept a shared bicycle with our son. Within 10 minutes, we arrived at the south gate of the Temple of Heaven. We rented an interpreter at the door (the interpreter can be returned at any other door, which is relatively convenient.)

A morning is enough to visit the Temple of Heaven. From the Temple of Heaven, we still took the south gate (because we were familiar with it, the weather was too hot, and we were worried about walking wrong) and rode a shared bicycle to the subway station. Because the afternoon trip was to the Forbidden City (I booked the ticket online in advance), and a colleague's child wanted to eat roast duck, so we still took the subway to Qianmen and ate the Hutong roast duck we saw while shopping the day before. The taste was okay. We bought a meal for two online, which was enough.

After dinner, we thought there was a place to make nucleic acid nearby, but the place to make nucleic acid was at 2 p.m., so we had to read for a while in the bookstore next to us before going to make nucleic acid. It took some time to make nucleic acid. In addition, we walked through Tiananmen Square, checked in to take photos all the way to the Forbidden City, and a child had to go to the toilet, etc., which also caused it to be already 3 o'clock when we arrived at the Forbidden City in the afternoon. Therefore, the time to visit the Forbidden City was quite tight (I suggest that if you go to the Forbidden City and want to visit every place carefully, it will take a day. If you want to spend half a day, it would be better to enter before 2 o'clock. The Forbidden City will start driving people out at 5:30)

Go through Tiananmen Square all the way and check in to enter the Forbidden City. There is also a place to rent an interpreter at the entrance.

When we came out of the Forbidden City, we took Donghua Gate and walked east for about ten minutes until we arrived at Wangfujing. Because it was hot and tired, I found a nearby place to eat and saw a small pear soup. After dinner, Jinyu Hutong Subway Station was below the mall, so we took the subway directly from here back to the hotel.

the third day

Finally we are going to the Great Wall! Previously, I read the guide and said that there are several ways to go to the Great Wall.

1. Buster

The advantage is that you don't have to worry about anything. After going directly to the designated subway entrance, you can get on the bus and take the highway to the foot of the Great Wall. I don't know the shortcomings, but the fee seems to be 80 per person, and there are different packages. But when I was preparing to book the day before, I said that it was because of the epidemic that I could not accept tourist groups from other provinces.

2. bus

The advantage is that it is cheap, but the disadvantage is that it takes a long time. If you run into a traffic jam, you won't know the time.

3. motor train

The advantage is that the time is relatively fast, 30 minutes by train. The disadvantage is that it is a bit far from the hotel where we stayed, and it takes more than 40 minutes by subway.

The train to the Badaling Great Wall is at Beijing North Railway Station and Qinghe Station (if you stay in a hotel close to Qinghe Metro Station, you can choose Qinghe Station to depart). We booked the train from 8:15 to 8:52 a.m. from Beijing North Railway Station. It was enough time to leave the hotel at 7 a.m..

After arriving at the Badaling Great Wall High-speed Railway Station, you will reach the hiking entrance after walking for a few minutes. After entering the mountain entrance, it is divided into South City and North City. What is the difference between South City and North City? The terrain of the south city is relatively dangerous and steep, but the distance is relatively short and it takes less time. Moreover, there are fewer people in the south city than the north city, so it is more suitable to take photos; the north city is relatively slow and the distance is slightly long. Many people choose the North Slope, saying that there are many scenic spots there, such as Haohanpo. If you have good physical strength, you can climb the south city and then climb the north city. We were confident that we were ready to climb the south city and climb the north city, so the bullet train ticket back to Beijing was booked at around 5 p.m.

The weather forecast is 37 degrees. We are definitely heroes climbing the Great Wall, but after climbing the South City, it will be around 12 o'clock. We really don't want to go to the North City again in such hot conditions, so after lunch, we decisively refunded the ticket and changed our ticket to return north at 2 p.m.

Jing. Because we planned to go to Yuanmingyuan in the afternoon, when we came back, we bought it and got off at Qinghe Station, which is relatively close to Yuanmingyuan.

It was still early after dinner. We went to watch the Dome Screen Theater, which was quite unique. The time was 20 minutes and the ticket price was 110 per person. It took a few minutes to watch the high-speed railway station.

After taking a break on the high-speed train and regaining my strength, I went to Qinghe Station and got off the high-speed train and went directly to the subway station to take Line 13 from Qinghe Station to Line 8 to Yuanmingyuan. Yuanmingyuan is relatively large, and it takes at least half a day to play in each place.(If the time schedule is relatively generous, it is recommended to choose Yuanmingyuan and Summer Palace for one day because these two places are relatively close). Because we were hot and tired, we took a sightseeing bus and went directly to see the Da Shui Fa after halfway through the tour. The Da Shui Fa came out and directly made a small boat back to the south gate. Peking University Tsinghua University is near Yuanmingyuan, but due to the epidemic, we can't get in, so we can only take a look outside.

At night, a certain child wanted to eat hotpot again, so we took the subway to Jinyu Hutong and ate Donglaishun. After eating Donglaishun, I went to Wangfujing for a walk to digest my digestion and bought the Bingdundun I always wanted.

the fourth day

The first three days were quite physically exhausting. We plan to wake up naturally this day, then go to the Summer Palace for a stroll, and then make free arrangements for the rest. The Summer Palace is indeed relatively large. We took the subway to Xiyuan and got off. We walked for 5 minutes to Beigong Gate (the back door of the Summer Palace). A tourist map of the Summer Palace is attached for reference.

The route we took at that time was to enter from Beigong Gate. After touring Suzhou Street, we took a boat directly on Suzhou Street and crossed Kunming Lake. After visiting Nanhu Island, we turned back and walked north along the Kunming Lake. Tongniu-Zhichun Pavilion-Donggong Gate-Dehe Garden-Renshou Hall-Yulan Hall-Leshou Hall-Halfway through the corridor to Paiyun Hall-Foxiang Pavilion-down the mountain and then down the corridor to Shifang. After walking back to Wanshou Mountain (next to Paiyun Hall) and up the mountain-Wisdom Sea-Four Major Provinces, Finally, I go back to Suzhou Street and go out from Beigongmen to take the subway. We stop and stop this route from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., but we haven't visited the scenic spots in Xiti, so if we want to go and have a thorough tour, my personal advice still needs to take a day.

After coming out of the Summer Palace, we took the subway directly to Nanluogu Lane to prepare for some rice (we didn't eat in the Summer Palace, so we ate some ice cream and chips at the small shop). Everyone in Nanluogu Lane ate stewed and fried tripe in one place. A certain child didn't eat these and wanted to eat hotpot meat again at night. Probably after shopping, we navigated directly to the South Gate Shabu. After walking through one of the alleys for seven or eight minutes, we arrived at the Drum Tower and made nucleic acid. After continuing to navigate for 10 minutes, we arrived at Houhai Store in Nanmen Shabu. Because it was a little past 5 p.m., there was no queue, only one table left, and the time was just right.

After eating and drinking, I walked along Houhai and Lotus Market. I actually saw Gong Wang Fu nearby. I booked the itinerary for the next day and walked to Beihai North Subway Station to return to the hotel to rest.

the fifth day

Check-out time is 2pm, so we plan to return to the hotel before 2pm to check out. A certain child wanted to go to the Imperial College. After breakfast, he took the subway directly and got off at the Lama Temple and walked for about 10 minutes to the Imperial College. After visiting the Imperial College at about 10:30, scan the code and ride to Gong Wang Fu to experience other people's mansions. After visiting Gong Wang Fu, take the subway back to the hotel for some food, pack your luggage, and check out. There is a Daoxiang Village next to the hotel. I bought my mother's favorite cakes and prepared to bring them to her.

Conclusion: I finally realized my wish to visit Beijing for many years. Although the weather is hot, it still cannot stop my enthusiasm. I am also very grateful to a certain child, whether it is a simple luggage carrying or a small expert in subway route planning and ticket buying, they are all very powerful. Unfortunately, there was no in-depth look at the Forbidden City, and I could only hope to have the opportunity to go again in the future.
