The Ming City Wall Ruins are the relatively complete Ming City Wall in Beijing, covering about 1.5 kilometers.

On the west side is the unfinished city wall, on which the yellow soil with a rammed earth foundation has been exposed, looking primitive and simple.

On the east side of the city wall, you can see Ming Dynasty monuments such as flagpole stones and ancient artillery, as well as inscriptions on the city wall when the Eight-Power Allied Forces invaded Beijing, which are all of great historical value. In the southeast corner building, there are some exhibitions of historical relics, including old artillery, photos of the tower, etc.

The Yuan Dadu City Wall Site in Beijing was built on the site of Dadu Tucheng, the capital of the Yuan Dynasty. The Yuan Dadu City was built in 18 years by Kublai Khan, the founder of the Yuan Dynasty. The city wall of Dadu City is more than 28,000 meters in total and is rammed with soil. The northernmost part of the city wall of Dadu City in the Yuan Dynasty remained outside the city when the north wall moved southward in the early Ming Dynasty, commonly known as Tucheng.

The construction of the Yuan Dynasty Capital City was located on the northeastern outskirts of Jinzhong Capital City, laying the foundation for today's Beijing City. Its planning and design inherited the tradition of capital construction in our country over the past dynasties.

The National Museum of China is a comprehensive museum integrating collection, exhibitions, research, archaeology, public education, and cultural exchanges. It is the country's highest hall of history, culture and art.

The museum is very large in size. The main exhibition halls include ancient China, ancient jade articles, ancient porcelain, ancient costumes, ancient Buddha statues and other special exhibitions. My visit mainly focuses on "Ancient China".

Ancient China is divided into eight parts, namely, the ancient Peking head fossils and totems from the Stone Age; the exquisite bronzes and jade pottery from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties; the hundreds of philosophers and the seven heroes of the Warring States Period; the prosperity and civilization of the Qin and Han Dynasties; The turmoil of the Three Kingdoms, the Jin and Northern Dynasties, and the prosperity of the Sui and Tang Dynasties; the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties slowly fell out of date; the exhibition of ancient China is like a long historical scroll, recording the birth, development and prosperity of Chinese civilization.

From ancient times to the end of the Qing Dynasty, many rare treasures from textbooks can be enjoyed here. The following are some of the precious exhibits photographed for remembrance.

The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution demonstrates the development and achievements of the Chinese military in various periods from ancient cold weapons to modern high-tech weapons, from heroic struggle in war to national defense construction in peacetime. Whether you are interested in military affairs or want to understand China's history and culture, you can find exhibits that you are interested in here.

The Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum is composed of the ancient buildings of Confucius Temple and Guozijian in Beijing. The Confucius Temple and the Imperial Academy were built in the 14th century AD and are consistent with the ancient system of "Temple on the Left and Learning on the Right". They were once the highest academic institution of the country and the place where the emperor worshiped Confucius. Both groups of buildings were built along the central axis and symmetrical left and right. Traditional Chinese architectural methods form a complete set of ancient buildings.

The Confucius Temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was a place where Confucius was sacrificed in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The temple has ancient buildings in the Yuan Dynasty style that are rare in Beijing, which is very unique.

The titled stele of the list of more than 50,000 Jinshi scholars from the Yuan Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, and the forest of steles engraved with the thirteen Confucian classics are rich in content and very precious.

The courtyard is ancient and has many towering ancient trees, as well as memorial tablets and cultural relics exhibitions dedicated to Confucius. You can visit them one by one.

The Imperial College was a national institution of learning during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was also the place where emperors personally gave lectures in the past. It was once the highest institution of learning. Walking among the halls and pavilions with red walls and green tiles, you can feel the strong atmosphere of respecting Confucianism and teaching in ancient times.

Like the Confucian Temple, the buildings here are also antique. Ancient trees in the courtyard stand tall and look simple and beautiful. Buildings such as Jixian Gate, Taixue Gate, and glazed archway are very distinctive. Especially the glazed archway is colorful and is the iconic scenery of the Imperial Academy.

Although the current Imperial College does not have a teaching purpose, the surrounding areas still reveal a strong literary, artistic and academic atmosphere.

Gong Wang Mansion was a large-scale palace in the Qing Dynasty. It was named after the residence of Prince Gong Xin. As the residence of Prince Heshen and Prince Yonglin of Qing Dynasty, Hougong's Mansion went through the historical process of the Qing Dynasty from its peak to its decline. Therefore, there is a saying that "a Gong's Mansion is half of the history of the Qing Dynasty."

Gong's Mansion is a very well-preserved palace building complex in my country. It has more than 30 architectural communities of various types, with exquisite layout and extraordinary style. The whole is divided into two parts: the mansion and the garden, with the mansion in the front (south) and the garden in the back (north).

The whole park is dotted with the word "blessing" and the theme is clear. The Xiyang Gate, the imperial inscription "Fu" and the large indoor theater in the garden are all called the "Three Wonders" of Gong Wang Mansion.

The garden is located north of the mansion, also known as Cuijin Garden. It covers an area of more than 28000 square meters and has 31 ancient buildings. Back then, Prince Gong mobilized hundreds of skilled craftsmen to build the garden. After its completion, its grandeur was the crown of the 100 royal palaces in the capital and the essence of the existing royal palace garden art in Beijing.

The Beijing Olympics Museum is a permanent special museum with the theme of the Beijing Olympics. The museum has a collection of 2577 pieces/set.

In addition to the Summer Olympics chapters, the museum also contains relevant content about the Winter Olympics, which together demonstrate the style of Beijing as a "Double Olympic City".

The Beijing Olympic Museum has officially joined as a permanent special museum with the theme of the Beijing Olympics. This time, it successfully joined the International Olympic Museum Alliance and became the 33rd member of the alliance.

A glimpse of Beijing City Lane Hutong

Museums are an important part of cultural tourism. They represent the memory of the development and changes of a city. Nowadays, with the rapid development of the city, the number of museums in each region is increasing year by year, with more thematic features and more professional and international. Currently, museums have become a check-in place for many travelers. It is indeed a wonderful thing to go to a museum in a city, find historical memories, and understand the previous confused historical knowledge.
