It coincides with the official opening of the 8th Red Leaf Festival in Zhoukoudian·Youlanshan (Pofengling) in Fangshan District, and I can't wait to take my mother to see the most beautiful season of the year in Pofengling.

Pofengling is the largest gathering place of wild cotinus cotinus in North China, with tens of thousands of acres of mountains rich in vegetation. It is praised by National Geographic magazine as the most spectacular mountain red leaf landscape in North China. Every autumn, the layers of forests are dyed, like brocade and dreamlike. This year's Red Leaf Festival spans from early October to November 15 and lasts for more than a month. My mother and I went to the mountains on the weekend of October 13. Unfortunately, the temperature was not cold enough and the red leaves were not completely red. The gatehouse earthen pots, tall trees and bamboo trees, and sand pits are very similar to grandma's house when she was a child.

Of course, my mother and I chose the delicate and unique "Cotinus Blossom" again. After all, old love is hard to abandon. Red brick walls and shale tiles, hydrangea courtyard, fireworks house... Walking leisurely, time seemed to slow down a little.

The Peach Leaf Valley is surrounded by mountains and waters. Here, there are stone walls, wooden doors and lattice windows. Stewed beef brisket with radish in a large bowl, braised pork ribs, stewed beans, and drink a bowl of yam and sweet potato millet porridge for breakfast. Every dish is my mother's taste.

Last spring and this autumn, I brought my mother to Pofengling twice for weekends to see the beautiful scenery. It had a unique flavor. The pink in spring transited to the scarlet in autumn, and it was time to make beautiful paintings in Pofengling.

Whether it is the beautiful scenery on the mountain or the quiet and slow time in the yellow coggyus blossoms B & B, it gives the mother and daughter a beautiful gap in their busy life.
