Beijing has countless natural beauty and scenic spots, but when it comes to Cherry Valley in the West Hills of Beijing, it is really a unique scenery. I remember that it was the beginning of autumn in 2008, and it was only one day away from the opening of the Beijing Olympics. Due to the meeting at the Wrecking Buddha Villa located in the Beijing Botanical Garden, the reporters and his party spent their spare time to visit the Wrecking Buddha Temple and Cherry Valley in the West Mountain, which are close by. Unexpectedly, this trip was worthwhile and left behind very deep and beautiful memories.

When I woke up in the morning, the outdoors was already full of lively and noisy bird singing. This sound effect of hundreds of birds singing in the morning is difficult to hear in Beijing. The reporters and his party passed through the courtyard door separated by a wall from the Wat Temple to the Wat Temple.

There were very few tourists in the temple who had just opened, and the staff were cleaning all over the temple. The reporter had been here a year ago, so he is familiar with it. The temple was built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (627-649), and was originally named Tuci Temple, also known as Shou 'an Temple. Later, there were ruins and buildings in the past dynasties, and the names of the temples also changed with the changes of dynasties. It was rebuilt in the 12th year of Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty and renamed Pujue Temple. Due to the Tang Dynasty temple, there was a sleeping Buddha carved from sandalwood. Later, in the Yuan Dynasty, a huge bronze statue of Sakyamuni's Nirvana was cast in the temple. Therefore, most people called this temple the "Reclining Buddha Temple".

According to records in the Yuan Dynasty, 500,000 kilograms of copper were cast and smelted at that time, using 7,000 workers. The bronze Buddha is 5 meters long and is placed in a horizontal position. Its head is west and south. Its left hand is naturally placed flat on its legs, and its right hand is bent to support its head. Sitting behind the reclining Buddha were the twelve Yuanjue Bodhisattva. Their faces had heavy and sad expressions, forming a scene of Sakyamuni nirvana under the Bora tree and instructing the twelve disciples for the future.

A horizontal plaque reading "Be at ease" is hung on the front wall of the hall. In addition, there are several Bora trees planted in the temple. At the end of spring and early summer, white flowers bloom, and the flowers are like countless white jade pagodas hanging upside down between the branches and leaves. It is unique. Since most of the reporters and their party had been to the Wrecking Buddha Temple, they took a quick look around the temple and left a few photos before heading to Cherry Taogou. After leaving the Reclining Buddha Temple, head west and follow the corridor in the park for a short distance to the Cherry Blossom Valley. As a reporter who grew up in Beijing since childhood, this was a frequent place when he was a student. But since he hadn't been here for decades, my childhood memories of this place have long disappeared. Today, Cherry Taogou has a sightseeing plank road several kilometers long. The park has a myriad of scenery and beautiful scenery. It is no longer the primitive wild scenery that the reporter came back.

Cherry Taogou is located in the northwest of the Wrecking Buddha Temple. It is a quiet, secluded and full of natural wildness. It has been a tourist attraction in the West Mountain since ancient times. Famous for his wild interest. The streams in the ditch are clear, there are many strange rocks, and the sound of birds adds to the quiet atmosphere of the valley. Cherry Taogou has unique natural conditions and is a nature reserve with sound ecological functions in the suburbs of Beijing.

In the Ming Dynasty, Cherry Valley was once called "the end of the water", and in the Qing Dynasty, it was also called "Tuigu" and "Zhoujia Garden", but the name "Cherry Valley" is the most famous. Legend has it that this place was originally a ravine rich in mountain fruits, and there are mostly slices of cherry trees in the ravine. Every spring, cherry flowers all over the mountains dye the entire valley red, and the fragrance of flowers is intoxicating and intoxicating.

Jin Zhangzong, the sixth emperor of the Jin Dynasty, once built a flower viewing platform at the mouth of the ditch."Cherry flowers are thousands of trees, and the fragrance is burning in spring" was still a reputation at that time. There are not so many cherry trees in the ditch now, but the peaks are high and deep, the mountains are backed by the sun, the climate is warm, the flowers and trees are luxuriant, the strange stones are shining, and the mountain springs are gurgling. People who are obsessed with returning to nature are increasingly calling this poetic name louder. Metasequoia, known as the "living fossil" in Cherry Valley, has now become a forest. It is also planted with rare and endangered plants such as jade bell flower, green sandalwood, and red pine. The "Red Leaf Bird Collection" project has added a lot to the reserve. vitality. It turns out that there are many scenic spots and historic sites here, such as Shengsheng Chi, Wansong Pavilion, Dapanshi, Jinguetai, Shishangsong, Bailuyan, Bantian Yunling, Tuiweng Pavilion, Shuangdongdong, Yanerling, Yanxia Cave, etc. There are also Guanghui Temple built in the seventh year of Zhengtong of the Ming Dynasty (1442), Longjiao Temple built in the 22nd year of Chenghua (1486), Wuhua Temple, Pufu Temple, Shuita Temple, Guanyin Pavilion and other ancient temples, but many of them no longer exist.

Walking into Cherry Peach Valley, stroll on the long wooden plank road in the canyon. On both sides are beautiful and tall mountains, with strange rocks and deep mountain paths. The winding stream at your feet is crystal clear, and you can only see dense layers of metasequoia forests on the bank. The pine trees in the wilderness are of the same color all year round, but the metasequoia is rusty and red like fire in winter, and is light green like jasper in spring. It is tall and straight, with a unique vigorous and progressive temperament and charm.

Towering metasequoia mezzoia mezzoia. The green bamboos hold me, and I am next to you, densely clustered into a forest. Looking around, it looks like a piece of jade inlaid in the valley.

Although autumn has just begun, there are already bursts of mountain winds blowing gently in the ditch in the heat, and the bamboo forest is rustling, like a lady playing a piano or a lover whispering, which is particularly charming and gentle. The dense bamboo forest is like a huge green barrier, isolating the heat outside, making people seem to be in a cool world.

Walking in the ditch, you will see the rolling spring water flowing endlessly at your feet. Taste the cool spring water of Cherry Blossom Gulch and listen to the magical legends of "Pine on the Stone" and "Yuan Gem", which will make the human body feel the beautiful artistic conception of "walking to the poor water.""Sit and watch the clouds rise." On the hillside at the entrance of Cherry Peach Valley, there is an abandoned site where only remains of a ruined monument is left. This is the relic of Longjiao Temple, which was in its peak in the Yuan Dynasty. The incense of those days has been blown away by the rain and wind, and even Buddhism, which has few desires, cannot help but sigh through vicissitudes. Sun Chengze, a famous scholar in the early Qing Dynasty, once built a "Tuiweng Pavilion" high on the west side of Longjiao Temple."Tianfu Guangji" was born in this snowy mountain and green center where cherry blossoms hit.

Walking along the stone steps, you can see the dangerous peaks facing each other, the steep walls are like sharp, and the eight seal characters "Deer Rock Fairy Trail, Retreat Valley and Recite" are engraved on the steep stone cliffs. This is the famous Golden Pigeon Terrace. The tall mountain wall was covered tightly with trees, as if a painter had knocked over a color palette and soaked the mountain and foot with fragrant oil paint, paving this small valley with green.
A cool world (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
Every time after rain, mountains and rivers converge, and huge waterfalls fly straight down from the cliffs. They roll, foam and fog, and roar loudly. The crystal clear stream rolls under people's feet like silver chains. Where the stream is rushing, flying beads splash jade, arousing bright water spray; when the stream is gentle,"the sound of the spring smokes dangerous rocks", and the water surface is like oil with soft water patterns.
White marble stone bridge (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
A white jade stone bridge moved from Duan Wangfu is placed across the river. On the bridge railing is the three words "Red Star Bridge" inscribed by Guo Moruo. The ancient stone bridge has a modern name. I don't know whether it is innovative or new in old bottles. I always feel that it lacks a sense of harmony and harmony with the environment. There is not much road across the bridge, and you will see the stone door of "Luyan Jingshe". Outside the door is the "Tui Valley" stele written by Liang Qichao.

Luyan, also known as Bailu Cave, is 6 meters deep and 2 meters long. It can accommodate one or 20 people and has a stone bed inside. It is said that in the Liao Dynasty, an immortal riding a white deer traveled here. He was fascinated by the light of mountains and water and made it his home. Within the stone door of "Luyan Jingshe" is the Cherry Valley Garden, which "leads to the secluded valley and has a unique land".

The garden is a small name, but it is a scenic spot that condenses the natural scenery of Cherry Peach Valley. On both sides of the winding path, the mountains are densely covered with exotic flowers and grasses, and lush trees and bamboos; deep in the shade, there are thatched houses and pavilions dotted with them. The layout is sometimes cheerful and sometimes secluded, but the environment is peaceful and quiet everywhere.
"One, two. Ninth Memorial Pavilion (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
"One, two. The Ninth Movement Memorial Pavilion is located opposite the "Defending North China" stone carving, in a stone square courtyard facing each other across the ditch. The eight golden characters were inscribed by Peng Zhen, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. The monument written by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Beijing City Federation of Students was written by the famous calligrapher Liu Bingsen. The memorial pavilion is on the south side of the monument and was built with donations from the Beijing City Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Beijing City Student Federation. The memorial pavilion consists of three triangular pavilions. The idea is: the triangles are "one and two. A microcosm of camping tents when the Ninth Movement held military summer camps. The three triangles form a three-dimensional character "Zhong", which symbolizes the awakening of the general public and the people's determination to unite to resist aggression. The tall and straight architectural lines symbolize the vigorous and positive spirit of young people. The three groups of buildings, large and small, indicate that the revolutionary tradition has been passed down from generation to generation and the revolutionary cause has been succeeded.
Water Source (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
Go through "One Two. The Ninth Memorial Pavilion reaches the "source of water". But I saw huge rocks blocking the road, and Wan fell from the sky. The huge stone is about forty feet long, twenty feet wide, and ten feet high. It is round and shaped like a gold ingot. Two large brown characters "Source" are engraved on the body of the stone. As the name suggests, the "source of water" is the source of the stream in Cherry Valley.
Promenade (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
Spring water gurgles out from the stone gaps and gathers into the pool. The rushing stream is like this source of drops of water, and this confluence forms a river. No wonder the stream in Cherry Valley is so clear, so cool, and so sweet."How can the canal be so clear, so that there is a source of flowing water?" Taking the mountain from the source of the water, you can reach the peak of the "Bantian Yunling" and the Black Dragon Pool. There is a couplet in the pavilion that says: "When you go to a place where the water is poor, sit and watch the clouds rise." Therefore, the spring water is called the source of the water, and the mountains are called the Bantian Cloud. These are two scenic spots in the ditch. Standing on the top of the mountain and gazing into the distance, it should be fun again.
Former Residence of Cao Xueqin (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
The taste of Cherry Valley is not only the scenery of mountains and water, the water source of Yunling, but also the original trees and flowers, which are covered with green everywhere. The taste of Cherry Valley has its own uniqueness, which is the unique "Story of the Stone" culture of Cherry Valley. Legend has it that when Cao Xueqin conceived "Dream of the Red Chamber", Cherry Valley was his frequent visit place to wander, seek dreams and visit wonders. The beauty of heaven and earth inspired his eternal talents, and the beauty of mountains and rivers paved the way for his heart. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, this has been a place where famous scholars lived in seclusion. Near Cherry Valley, there are the former residence of the famous Qing Dynasty painter Zhou Yang 'an and the former residence of the great writer Cao Xueqin. In recent years, tourists have enjoyed the beautiful scenery of nature here, while also remembering and appreciating the literary and erudition of ancient famous scholars...(Photo: Feng Ganyong)
