Do you still remember? When we were students, we traveled together in autumn to see the red leaves, picked up the falling red leaves, and put them in books as bookmarks. The red maple leaves are forever preserved in our hearts with the mark of time; in autumn in Beijing, it is a good time to enjoy the red leaves for mountain climbing tours. Leave the busy urban area, meet with friends to go to Fengling on the western slopes of Beijing to regain the Chinese red in our hearts.
The leaves of the coggya are as red as fire, intoxicating the Youlan Valley. In Fangshan Slope Peak Ridge, 50 kilometers away from Beijing, the red leaves have entered the best viewing period. Hundreds of thousands of coggya trees in the most beautiful posture, presenting colorful colors, describing the most beautiful chapter of nature. No words can describe its beauty. Only by experiencing it personally can we truly experience the beauty of the slopes and ridges of the Youlan Mountains. The mountains are red as fire, intoxicating the whole autumn.
Fangshan Pofeng Ridge is the largest wild coggyus in North China where the air is fresh and natural. The mountain is dominated by yellow Lu trees, as well as persimmon trees, walnut trees, wild jujube trees, etc. Every autumn, the green, orange, yellow and green leaves turn into a beautiful cloud. The Chinese red attracts many people. This was once a barren mountain ridge with a 6000-meter-long mountain road. It relied entirely on manpower to carry the rocks to the mountain.
At the gate, festive red lanterns swing in the wind. On both sides of the mountain road are whole baskets of corn, big pumpkins, and winter melons. Grain and red peppers are hung on the walls, creating a rural harvest scene in the autumn sun.
The Youlan Hillside Fengling Red Leaf Festival has been held for eight times and has been praised by National Geographic as the most spectacular mountain red leaf landscape in North China. Walking into the hiking trail, people are swimming in paintings. The climbing road in Pofengling is very easy to walk. Climbing the mountain is not tired, suitable for all ages, and you will never get lost no matter where you go. Follow the stone steps up the mountain and admire the beautiful red reed leaves all the way. Passing the stone houses on the clouds halfway up the mountain, you feel like you are in a deep mountain secret under the cover of trees. Going to Jiangnan in a trance, it is incomparable beauty.
There is a station along the mountain that is very considerate. You can eat, drink, play and rest easily. In the Red Backbasket Restaurant, you can have farmhouse dishes. Have a cup of fragrant handmade soy milk, rest at the tofu shop, and eat a bowl of freshly made Zhoukoudian noodles.
Feeding donkey leaves to the small hair in the mill and grinding corn in the grain farm, these mountain delicacies and fun experiences make us feel nostalgic here.
After climbing the mountain, if we went straight back to the city, we would still have some unfinished business. As it was getting late, we chose to live at the foot of the mountain. There are more than 30 country houses in this area, including Peach Leaf Valley, and the old houses in the late Qing Dynasty,"Grandma's Home" and "Yellow Cotinus Blossom"."The layout of each yard has its own characteristics. The exterior walls retain the old and old styles, and the stone walls and wooden doors are full of epitome of the old times.
We lived in "Cotinus Blooms". We pushed open the wooden street door with a bolt, and our eyes suddenly became clear. There were green bamboo forests in the courtyard and wooden beams on the roof. The sun shone in through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, warm and bright.
The room is clean and comfortable, with a pile of books on the small desk. You might as well make a cup of tea, read a book, stay away from the hustle and bustle and hide in the mountains, and enjoy the rare and precious quiet time.
Dinner is a hot brazier pot, drink a glass of red wine, drive away the coolness of late autumn, including tofu, bean skins, radishes, melon strips, dried vegetables, etc., as well as steamed pumpkin, corn cakes, apples. After eating, book breakfast with the housekeeper in advance. At the time, we went back to our houses and turned on the air conditioner. The room was very warm. I didn't expect the conditions of the village B & B to be so good.
I thought about watching the sunrise in the morning, but I woke up naturally. The birds were singing in the morning. The air in the mountains was so good. I had breakfast with everyone. There were flowers in a small vase on the table, which added a romantic atmosphere to the room. Small pickles, soft and rotten millet porridge, wheat-scented steamed buns, native eggs, and baked coarse grain pure natural fruit bread. These seemingly simple farm meals taste very delicious and have a taste of home.
