I arrived at Beijing Railway Station at 6 a.m. on September 6, 1982. This was the first time I came to Beijing. I was very excited at that time. It had been forty years and I had a lot of affection for Beijing. During my studies, I traveled around Beijing. At that time, Beijing was not big. Outside Xizhimen was a crop field. I used to walk from Jianguomen to Fuchengmen, from Beijing Steel Yuan to Ping 'anli, and from Tiananmen Square to Ping' anli. It was also common to walk from Ping 'anli. I once rode a bicycle around the alleys of Xuanwumen and Guang 'anmen. Tiananmen Square at that time was not what it is now. Even the bricks laid on the ground were dated and looked a little dilapidated from today's perspective.
The places I visited most at that time were Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Memorial Hall, Memorial Hall of Chinese Revolutionary History (now the National Museum), Zhongshan Park, Working People's Cultural Palace, Military Museum, Xiangshan Park, Great Hall of the People, etc. However, I think the most rare thing is to go boating in Zhongnanhai back then, which is now impossible. It is a pity that there were not many photos left back then, unlike now taking photos one after another on mobile phones.
I also need to go out for a walk during the Chinese New Year. Many times, I still want to visit places I have been to. I wanted to go to the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven, but I couldn't get a ticket.
The weather was bad on the third day of the third day. It was still drizzling and misty. Take the subway to Xidan. I often came to Xidan at that time, mainly to buy things at the Xidan Department Store. I bought my first tape recorder here. It cost 140 yuan, which was very expensive at that time. The streets and buildings in Xidan have completely changed. Of course, not only Xidan, but also Wangfujing, Qianmen Street, Dazhalan, etc., that is, the entire city of Beijing, have undergone great changes. Apart from the names, many places have basically nothing to do with the past.
Walking along Chang 'an Street towards Tiananmen Square, the security check is now very strict. People walked here casually in the past, but now it is a world of difference. After security check, they passed Xinhuamen, and then entered Tiananmen Square. There are not many people in the square today. It has been a long time since I saw the sparse number of people in the square. Chairman Mao Memorial Hall is also open, and not many people visit. Seeing that the square green belt is paved with wood, it is still very practical and the effect is good.
After crossing the square and arriving at Qianmen West Street, I will go to Lao She Teahouse to listen to cross talk at noon to have fun and relax after the holidays. Crosstalk is performed by some young actors from the Beijing Opera Troupe. Sun Guosong's Allegro Book Tongue Twister and four crosstalk sections are also performed. The first crosstalk section is performed by Wang Zheng and Zhang Tianlei. He felt that Wang Zheng's Beijing accent was too strong and his speech was a little unclear when performing. The main axis is Guo Tianyi and Liu Xing, who spoke it well. The others were cross-talk between Sun Zhongqiu and Zhang Shuo, and Li Han and Chi Yongzhi. The atmosphere in the venue was not particularly enthusiastic, but there was also constant laughter, making it a happy New Year picture. The program lasts for one and a half hours. Our ticket price is 120 yuan, which is the cheapest.
After listening to the cross talk, I passed the newly built Beijing Square and came to Dazhalan. There are many tourists to Dazhalan. They want to see that there are no performances in Sanqing Garden and Guangde Building. In the end, there is no notice and they take the No. 5 bus home without stopping.
On the fourth day of the lunar new day, there are clear skies, beautiful skies, blue skies and white clouds. I plan to visit Gong's Mansion. Since this place was not open yet in the 1980s, I have never been here, so I come to have a look today. Tickets are 40 yuan. Buy tickets online and swipe your ID card directly. I don't like the restored building of Gong's Mansion much because I don't think it lacks the beauty of the previous brick-and-wood structure. The scenery of the garden is quite good. There are rockery, water, lakes, bamboo, pavilions, and pavilions. I prefer the strange shape here. The stone, because it can give people endless imagination, can look like whatever I think in my heart. I walked here for forty-five minutes, and overall I feel it is very good.
Leave Gong Wang Fu and walk to the bank of Shichahai Sea in Houhai. The scenery in Houhai is very good. Although the lake is not open, there are still many tourists. I wanted to visit Soong Ching Ling's former residence, but I realized that it was not open today. On the 24th, I came to visit Soong Ching Ling's former residence again. The scenery was very good. So I rode my bicycle to Lao She's former residence.
Lao She is a great writer. His works are very rural. I have read some of his novels and like "Four Generations Together","Camel Xiangzi","The Legend of Niu Tianci","Under the Red Flag", etc. I first read his work is "Longxugou". I am here to take a look today to commemorate this great writer.
After leaving Lao She's former residence, I walked through Wangfujing Street. The New Year atmosphere here is very strong. When I saw the paintings of Western films, I wonder if anyone still likes this ancient art. A sugar maker who plays sugar is 35 yuan. Take Metro Line 1 home.
There was a strong wind blowing on the fifth day of the lunar new day. Since I bought afternoon tickets for the Chang 'an Grand Theater, I still wanted to go out early and have a look around.
I took the subway to Qianmen, went through security checks, and arrived at Dongjiaomin Lane.
Dongjiaomin Lane is the longest alley in Beijing now, with a length of 1550 meters. It was once the embassy district of old China. Since 1840, especially after the Treaty of Xin Chou, Britain, France, the United States, Russia, Japan, Germany, Belgium and other countries have established embassies here. This is a witness to the humiliating history of old China. When the People's Liberation Army entered Peiping in 1949, Chairman Mao arranged for the People's Liberation Army to pass through Dongjiaomin Lane to express the Chinese people's contempt for foreign invaders. At the same time, it also expressed its determination to expel all foreign bandits.
Today, there are still some old sites left here, such as the Six Nations Hotel, the Belgian Embassy, the French Embassy, the French Post Office, Citibank Beijing Branch, Japan Zhengjin Bank Beijing Branch, French Church, etc.
Leaving Dongjiaomin Lane, we arrived at Dongdan Park. Dongdan Park was built in 1955. The litterateur Guo Moruo wrote the name of the park. There is a sculpture of workers, peasants and soldiers in the park. There is a young man about thirty years old here who asked me who the three people on the sculpture were. I explained it, but I can't tell if there is a problem with our education.
The rockery in the park is very good. The trees are dense on the mountain. There is a hexagonal double-eaves glazed tile pavilion. The mountain road is winding and the winding path leads to the secluded scenery. Overall, the park is not big but exquisite.
When we arrived in Dongdan, we found a place to have lunch. I first went to Cai Yuanpei's former residence at No. 75 Dongtangzi Hutong and took some photos. Cai Yuanpei lived here from 1917 to 1920. Cai Yuanpei was a great educator, revolutionary, and politician in modern times and once served as the president of Peking University.
After taking photos, I walked east along the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Street and passed by the villa area of Union Medical College Hospital. I went in to have a look. The environment here still looks very good even now.
Moving forward, I saw the gate of the guest house. Sun Yat-sen once stayed here and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also worked here after liberation.
Finally, I came to the Chang 'an Grand Theater. The original site of the Chang' an Grand Theater was at Xidan Crossing. I saw a drama there in the 1980s.
Today's Chang 'an Grand Theater is very grand and magnificent, with good facilities inside.
At 14 o'clock this afternoon, the Youth League of the Beijing Peking Opera Theater performed the Peking Opera "Wandering Dragons and Playing Phoenix" and "Highlighting Catching Water". "Wandering Dragon and Playing Phoenix"(Zhang Kai plays Emperor Zhengde and Zhu Hong plays Li Fengjie) is a good singer. Today, I want to focus on watching "Highlight Catching Water"(Zhan Lei plays Gao Liang, Cao Yangyang plays the hunchbacked old man, Liang Junwei plays the old lady, Li Yang plays the Dragon King, Sun Shimin plays the Dragon Mother, and Wang Ning plays Liu Bowen) This is a relatively cold play. The screenwriter is Weng Ouhong. The main content is that Liu Bowen supervises the construction of Beijing in the Ming Dynasty. The Dragon King of the Black Dragon Pool takes the opportunity to make trouble and turns into the hunchbacked old man and the old lady who turns into the dragon mother to suck up all the water in the city. Liu Bowen sends Gao Liang to chase the hunchbacked old man and snatch the water basket. After breaking the tower, the flood and the waves are surging. After some struggle, the water source was recaptured and the people were rescued. The Dragon King captured Gaoliang, and the people built a "Gaoliang Bridge" to commemorate Gaoliang. There are many martial arts fights in the play, and the actors perform better.
I chose a better seat when buying the ticket, and the ticket price was 480 yuan. The play lasted for two and a half hours, and I was generally very satisfied.
It's time to go home after watching the play. Take the Metro Line 2 at Jianguomen to go home.
On the sixth day of the lunar new day, I plan to go to Beihai Park and Shijingshan Park to take some photos. This is a place I have been to many times. Although it is a little windy, the weather is okay, and it is easy to take photos under the blue sky. After lunch, I took the subway to Beihai Park and Tuancheng first to take some photos. I remember when I came to Beihai Park in 1982, the steamed buns here tasted very good. They were sold by state-owned mobile trucks at 1 yuan a catty, and bought 3 taels each time. I never saw them again after the state-owned canteen was disbanded. The biggest gain in Beihai today was taking some photos between the newly opened Huafang Zhai and Haopu.
After leaving Tuancheng, I came to the corner tower of the Forbidden City to take a few photos. Many people came here to take the sunset sunshine. Although there was still more than an hour before sunset time, many photography enthusiasts had already seized the best position here.
From the corner tower to Shenwu Gate, and then into Jingshan Park, the main purpose is to take a few photos. I have been here many times and plan to come back when the flowers bloom.
Come out of Jingshan Park, walk to Xihuamen, and take bus No. 5 home here.
