Day 6 Wildlife Park, Badaling

On June 21, I checked out early in the morning, bid farewell to Brother Sun and his wife, and took Master Yu's car and set out for Beijing. We first came to the wild animal park, the zoo where the famous couple quarreled and his wife got out of the car and was bitten by a tiger. The garden was very big, so we could only take a quick look at it. In fact, the fierce animals were surrounded by power grids. It seemed that there should be no danger. I don't know if it was surrounded after an accident.

There are three impressive things about the zoo: 1. Next to the ostrich is an emu. While watching the emu, I saw bullying in the animal world for the first time. One emu kept pecking at the head and neck of another animal, and it was already pecking until it was bloody. However, the one that was pecked had no consciousness of resistance except running around and hiding. It seems that it has been bullied for a day or two. The son and daughter looked at the emu being bullied and felt very sad. We watched it for a long time, but there was no way to help it. We could only watch it being bullied and finally walked away helplessly. It's so sad to see animals being bullied, but isn't it even more sad to think about the children being bullied in school!

The one on the left is bullying others, and the one on the right with its head retracted is the one who has been bullied.

2. When the car drove to the ponies area, ponies kept blocking our car from passing through. Master Yu rolled down the car window and kept driving them away, but they were not afraid. Instead, they looked at us with their big eyes with long eyelashes, meaning that I am so cute, why don't you give me something to eat? We were all embarrassed. Yeah, why didn't we prepare some food for the cute pony? After finally driving this horse away, but after taking two steps, another horse stopped in front of him. It took a while to finally pass through the area. I think people often take food from the car to feed them, so I am used to "if you want to pass by, stay and buy food for the road."

3. Peacock Valley, there are really many peacocks, and they like to open screens very much, but they don't like to take photos with people. If you find that you want to incorporate their beautiful figures with open screens into your lens, you will immediately turn around quickly, leaving you with a bare butt.

After lunch, we watched the circus performance again. Before watching it, I told the children that although you may be happy watching it, animals are actually very cruel when they are trained. And there was a man and woman performing high-altitude acrobatics without safety ropes or safety nets. It was a desperate performance. I haven't seen a circus performance in many years. When I saw the finale of four tigers and a lion that day, I felt very shocked. Another feeling is that I don't know if this circus or all other circuses in China are like this. There is no chatter about opening and ending. They perform as soon as they come on, and they call off after the performance. They are not sloppy at all. They feel very worth the ticket price.

After coming out of the zoo, I went directly to the Badaling Great Wall next to it. Because it was already very late, I only climbed one slope to Haohanpo by going up and down the cable car. Fortunately, it was cloudy, so the weather was particularly cool. Looking at the Great Wall in the distance from a high place, it was half-hidden in the clouds and mist, as beautiful as a fairyland.

After coming down from Badaling, I drove to Beijing City. Because Master Yu's car number was limited and he couldn't enter the city, he found a taxi and dropped us off at the Sixth Ring Road. This taxi driver gave me a very bad impression. He first said that our charter fare was so expensive, so he dropped us off when we only went to the 6th Ring Road. Then he asked him how to calculate the fare. My husband said to follow the meter and give us whatever he wanted. As a result, it was during the peak hours, especially when we entered the Second Ring Road and were approaching the Park Plaza Hotel. The traffic was very congested. In the end, the taxi fare cost nearly 200 yuan. On the way, the old man riding a tricycle began to scold him because the taxi refused to let him go. The taxi driver saw that there were so many of them, so he endured it first. After the others left, he began to scold him non-stop. In short, he felt too bad.

Fortunately, the Park Plaza did not disappoint us. The room was also a suite with a large double bed and a single bed. The bathroom was very large. After a short rest, we walked from the hotel to Quanjude on Wangfujing Pedestrian Street to eat roast duck. Although it was already 8 o'clock in the evening, we still waited for 20 minutes after getting the number to get the table. We only ordered one roast duck. To be honest, I really can't love roast duck. Whether it is duck skin dipped in white sugar or duck meat wrapped in pancakes, it is too greasy for me. Then there was a pot of tea. The asking price was 68 or 58, but it was all tea powder. The husband was so angry that he complained in their guest book. The remaining half of the duck was packed, but was actually thrown away in the end. On the contrary, the steamed buns made by Goubuli next door that her glutton husband packed were really good, completely beating roast duck.

Day 7 Forbidden City and Military Museum

On June 22, the sun was scorching hot. After breakfast at the hotel early in the morning, I took the subway to the Forbidden City. The location of the Park Plaza Hotel is still very good, right next to Dengshikou Subway Station, making it easy to get anywhere. After leaving the subway station in Tiananmen East, police officers were soon checking ID cards and packages. When I came to Tiananmen Square, my husband's patriotic feelings came again and insisted on taking photos with us, but the children and I were already in a daze due to the high temperature and sun. After changing our tickets and renting four automatic interpreters, our trip to the Forbidden City officially started. However, there were too many people and the sun was too poisonous. No matter how much ice cream we ate or how many cold drinks we drank, our daughter looked as if she was going to get heatstroke. We touched the hot face, and in the end, we returned the way we came before we even reached the Qianqing Gate. On the way out, I complained to my son and daughter, but I said not to come. It was too hot, but your father insisted on coming. He said he had come to Beijing and not the Forbidden City. Is that a visit? A young man next to me, who should have come with his girlfriend, secretly laughed after listening to my words.

It was still early after we left the Forbidden City, and our son loved weapons, so we decided to go to the Military Museum. Fortunately, we came here and had air conditioning, so we felt much better. My son and husband watched it for four hours, but I was not interested. In my eyes, there was no difference between the different models of guns and tanks and nothing to see. After watching it, my husband couldn't help but sigh that his son's knowledge of weapons was much richer than his. It seemed that those videos on Youtube were not for nothing.

I had dinner early and wanted to eat at Wangfujing Snack Street, but unfortunately, it seemed to be undergoing renovation and only a few restaurants opened, so I bought a bowl of fried tripe and two cups of pearl milk tea. Later, I went to a shop selling fried noodles opposite Quanjude. Although the environment was okay, the taste was only average and would not be recommended.

Day 8 Nanluogu Lane and Houhai

On June 23, it was still scorching hot. Because our train left after 5 p.m., we couldn't go too far. I consulted the hotel staff and suggested that we go to Nanluogu Lane. I still took the subway, changed to Line 4, left the station, and found two cars. I can't remember clearly. It seemed like 150 yuan each. It took a total of an hour. I talked about common sense such as the young master of the family lived in the East House, so he called it Young Master Dongjia. The house of several officials, how many nails the door has, and how deep the door is. In addition, I also looked at Wen Tianxiang's former residence. In short, I felt okay. It was still relatively cool while sitting in the car. Then I saw Guo Jingjing's in-law's house. In order to prevent people from peeping in, the outer wall of the entire house was sealed, which sounded like the courtyard was a little deep. A privileged class.

There is a famous primary school near Nanluogu Lane. It is said that students are either rich or expensive.

If we talk about Houhai, it should be no different from other lakes. If it weren't for the fact that there was really no other place to go, it would be okay to come and play. But my son is interested in everything that can be used, so it is not a complete gain for us. We rented an electric boat. It seemed like it was about 300 yuan an hour. The boat could only move forward at a very slow speed. We only made two rounds around Houhai, especially near the shore. The water grass grew very tall and entangled in the propeller, and the boat could hardly move forward. What was more interesting was to see local people swimming together in Houhai with their own dogs. One of the white puppies swims fast and well. It is really cute.

Houhai returned to the hotel after rowing the boat. He wanted to take the subway to Beijing South Railway Station, but he felt that our box was too big and it was inconvenient to get up and down. So he decided to take a taxi. Thinking that it was still early, there should be no traffic jam. As a result, when it was almost 200 meters away from the South Railway Station, he stopped moving at all. In the end, he simply got off the bus and pushed his luggage and walked there. I have never loved the city of Beijing. Perhaps because I have never lived in such a large city, I feel it is very inconvenient.

At this point, our trip to the grassland, Zhangjiakou and Beijing has ended smoothly.

Finally, I would like to praise my hometown of Qingdao. It has really gotten better and more beautiful in the past few years. I still hope to return to life in this beautiful coastal city after retirement.

These photos were taken on the beach near my home, an ordinary June morning. There is no retouching, no makeup, everything is the most natural and beautiful.
