What we are more familiar with now is the approximate scope of Beijing's inner city during the Ming Dynasty, that is, the lines to Qianmen, Chongwenmen and Xuanwumen in the south, the lines to Deshengmen and Andingmen in the north, the lines to Fuchengmen and Xizhimen in the west, and the lines to Chaoyang Gate and Dongzhimen in the east. These nine gates are also the nine gates of the Ming Dynasty city wall and the Qing Dynasty inner city wall. Although the city wall no longer exists today, all the names of the city gates have been preserved as place names. In the approximate scope of Dadu during the Yuan Dynasty, the locations of the east and west walls were basically the same as those of Beijing City in the Ming Dynasty. The south wall was on the line of Chang 'an Street, and the north wall was on the line of the current Jiande Gate and Anzhen Gate. That is to say, when Zhu Di was building Beijing, he moved the entire city southward on the basis of the Yuan Dadu. The south wall was moved south by 2 miles and the north wall was moved south by 5 miles. The area was about two-thirds of the Yuan Dadu. There were a total of 11 gates in the Yuan Dynasty. Some of the gates were used in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but their names were changed. Now they can only be found in history. Only Jiande Gate and Anzhen Gate are still used as place names today.

On July 18, the third day of the invasion, the highest temperature in Beijing was 37 degrees and the sun was shining brightly. Finally, the entire journey of the Yuan Dynasty's Dadu City Wall Ruins was completed in one go, with a total length of 9 kilometers. In fact, the ruins park is very well greened, with shade everywhere. Before leaving, I looked at the sun outside and wanted to lie flat in the air-conditioned room, but in fact, it was not as hot as I imagined when I walked slowly. When I was tired, I would sit on a bench under the shade of the trees and rest for a while., blowing in the breeze, it was even more comfortable than spending a day in an air-conditioned room with closed doors and windows.
