Introduction to Badaling

The Great Wall is a symbol of the five thousand years of civilization of the Chinese nation. Regarding the Great Wall, I believe that everyone has heard of reasons such as "no one is a hero who cannot reach the Great Wall" and other reasons why we must go, and more or less know some of the history and introduction of the Great Wall. The Badaling Great Wall, where "Haohanpo" is located, is a must-visit stop for almost all tourists coming to Beijing. As a favorite attraction for Chinese and foreign tourists, I feel that the most obvious characteristics of the Badaling Great Wall are undulating mountains, dangerous terrain, majestic atmosphere, long history, and complete preservation.

The Badaling Great Wall is located at the north entrance of the Guangou Ancient Road in Jundushan, Yanqing County, Beijing City. It is known as one of the nine fortresses in the world in history. It is the outpost of Juyong Pass, an important pass of the Great Wall. It is the best preserved and most representative of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, it is the earliest section of the Great Wall open to tourists.

Tickets are divided into off-season and peak season: the peak season is from April 1st to October 31st every year, and adult tickets are 40 yuan/person

The off-season is winter. It is from November 1st every year to March 31st of the following year. Adult tickets are 35 yuan/person.

People under the age of 18 and over the age of 60 are free of charge

We chose the bus to get through to the airport this time, so we directly asked the tour guide to help buy the tickets and round-trip fares. We didn't buy them ourselves. The round-trip bus for adults + tickets is 120 yuan/40 yuan for each child, which is very cost-effective.

There are three ways:

The first is the "train bound for spring"-the S2 EMU, which takes the bus at Beijing North Railway Station. It's more troublesome and can't go directly

The second is to take a bus. I have to reverse the car, which is inconvenient

The third is private car or through train (PS: We took the bus for this trip and the through train gathers at Beitucheng Subway Station)

It is recommended to climb the first floor from the north to the eighth floor. This is the most classic section of the Badaling Great Wall (on your right after entering the main entrance). After entering through the gate, you can also climb the few towers in the south (on the left), and then return from the original road and visit the northern towers. Of course, you should choose your own suitable crawling length based on your physical strength and other conditions

(1) Cableway (back mountain)

The Badaling Cableway is located in the back of the scenic area. It is put into operation by Beijing City Badaling Tourism Corporation. It is one of the safest and most advanced cableways in the world. It is also the safest and fastest way to climb the city at present. It has sufficient transportation capacity and complete facilities. You can take the cable car to the North Eighth Floor, which has the best scenery, the fastest and most direct access. It is a very good choice for tourists with limited physical strength or elderly people at home.

Round-trip ticket for cableway is 140 yuan.

(2) Pulley (Qianshan)

The trolley is located in the front mountain of the scenic area. You can take the trolley to the north 4th floor, and then walk to the north 8th floor. It is the main way to board the city for a day trip at Badaling. Due to outdated facilities and safety issues, I personally do not recommend this way to board the city. It was snowing when we were there, so the trolley tickets were no longer sold

The pulley round-trip ticket is 100 yuan.

precautions

1. Focus on personal image. Don't paint on the Great Wall, don't make loud noises, be civilized and courteous and obey order.

2. Some places such as Haohanpo are a bit steep, and the sections on the city walls are very narrow, allowing up to two people to climb side by side.

3. On weekends and holidays, there are many tourists to the Great Wall. It is recommended to start early and visit off the peak. There are no shops on the mountain, please bring relevant supplies, especially food and water. There are toilets on the fourth floor in the north and the fourth floor in the south.
