The city of Beijing has special feelings for me.

I am an authentic southern girl. I have an infinite yearning for the capital Beijing that I have seen on TV and movies since I was a child. Whether it is the traffic congestion that people often mention that continues to spread from the First Ring Road to the Fifth Ring Road, or the sound Mandarin with a strong accent is what I have always wanted to feel and experience.

So at the end of summer and early autumn this year, I finally came to Beijing, the capital city, with my best friends. Driving along the country road to the entrance of Pofengling Scenic Area, as the lane narrows, the trees on both sides of the road began to increase, and the high-rise buildings also disappeared. Compared with the urban area, we began to feel the quiet and comfortable suburban atmosphere.

The entrance of the Pofengling Scenic Area is built on Banpo. The three characters of Pofengling are eye-catching nailed to half of the rock. Under the rock, the streams are gurgling, and the steps up are made of huge maple leaf patterns to create a 3D effect.

After checking in, we started the 6000-meter mountain road to the top. Since the time we came was not the most beautiful time for Pofengling, there were not many tourists along the way. Most of them were families or families who enjoyed a two-day outing in the suburbs. Come here at this time.

Speaking of which, I haven't climbed a mountain for a long time. It's also a special experience to go out to exercise with my best friend. Each step built along the mountain is very high. The stone steps are hidden among the dense trees on both sides, providing shade for pedestrians along the way. The road leads to the B & Bs in the scenic area. It is a courtyard B & B built by the villagers of Shizigou Village combining the green scenery of Pofengling and the rocks in the mountains. It is a home for guests and friends who come from afar.

The tofu shop in the courtyard has a very farmhouse atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Perhaps because it is not yet the peak season, the owner has not opened so early yet, and only pedestrians climbing the mountain in twos and threes are sitting and resting inside.

We continued to climb along the stone steps, because the slope was getting steeper and steeper, and wooden piles were used to build simple handrails next to the stone steps to prevent danger. Outside the handrails were lush and dense green plants, and many trees that were unknown were hanging fruits. We also saw unripe peaches and full branches along the way.

Along the way down the mountain, there are also unique rural food and experiences. The little donkey in Pofengling turns along the stone mill, and tourists want to come forward and take photos with the little donkey.

Corn strings are hung on the eaves of the house, creating a rural feeling. The authentic handmade rose cakes and the original food provided by the Red Basket Restaurant feel satisfied and comfortable from the taste buds to the soul.

Outside the Red Basket Restaurant is a courtyard, and a stream slowly flows into the pool along the stones. The children took off their shoes and stepped on the water to play in the water. Here, the sun is still fierce in autumn.

There were several swings hanging under the shed covered with vines. The green plants covered this world tightly. Sitting on it with my best friend to enjoy the shade and swing for a while seemed to be like returning to childhood. As the swings became higher and higher, the swings put all the worries of the adult world behind them.

The most distinctive thing about Pofengling and other mountains is that it is a changing mountain peak. In addition to the dense green plants found in other mountains, in late spring and early summer, 100,000 cotinus flowers bloom all over the mountains, covering the mountains like pink mist and clouds, as if you are in a dreamy fairy tale forest, which is very capable of capturing the girl's pink heart.

Although it is a pity, the maple leaves are still green, and all the plants hanging with fruitful fruits along the way are full of endless vitality. I think this is the charm of nature. Although it has not yet reached its most beautiful moment, it still allows you to appreciate it. See what it looked like a moment before it bloomed. Maybe this is the agreement between me and Pofengling. I will come back here the next time when the maple leaves are red in the mountains or the cotinus flowers bloom.

Wake up in the morning and the coggyus flowers bloom

It was nearly evening after leaving Pofengling, so we drove to a B & B not far away to check in.

Next to the B & B we booked is the Happy Forest. The road is clean and tidy. There is a whole row of willows planted along the road along the water. My best friend and I couldn't wait to come to tonight's B & B. The houses are built north and south along the long and quiet path in the village. There are more than a dozen small courtyards. The overall interior design is northerly European style, with wooden furniture and warm yellow lighting simple and warm. Every room can see the view of the courtyard outside the window. A row of hydrangea flowers are planted in the outdoor courtyard, and the purple powder looks beautiful on a green leaf. Pursuing the origin of mankind, our roots

The B & B we live in is very close to the Zhoukoudian Man Site in Beijing. The skull fossils of Peking Man unearthed at the Zhoukoudian site provided a solid foundation for the existence of "Peking Man" and made Zhoukoudian a world-renowned birthplace of early humans.

At the door, I saw the statue of Peking Man, which could only be seen in history books before. Entering the site area, the climbing road was lined with famous Chinese and foreign archaeologists who participated in the excavation of the Zhoukoudian site and the research of Beijingers.
