When we look at each other and smile on the way to climb the Great Wall, we can understand each other's admiration for the great project of the Great Wall. Our country is amazing!

2.[Transportation] How to get to the Mutianyu Great Wall?

After setting the destination, it depends on how to get there. Public transportation, self-driving, chartered cars, and direct special lines. Now I have checked the Internet and recommended several transportation methods to everyone

Option 1: The first choice is "Mu Special Line". (Personal recommendation)

Mu Special Line is a direct bus line to Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area. It is currently the most praised and praised bus direct train by tourists. We went there on the Mu Special Line. After comparing it online, we finally chose Mu Xindian for several reasons.

1:[Express] The Mu Special Line goes directly to the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area at one stop, and the entire journey is high-speed.

2:[Save money] Avoid taking the shuttle bus and save 15 yuan/person. To get to the foot of the Great Wall, we don't need to change to a shuttle bus. We can also take the original bus to get to the ticket gate on the mountain. It's so comfortable not to have to wait in line for a bus! Especially during the peak season and summer, it is so comfortable to sit on the Mu special line!

3:[Peace of mind] The on-board staff of Mu Dedicated Line can quickly buy tickets on the bus. We will get tickets as soon as we get off the bus and don't have to wait in line!!! And I will patiently answer questions and tell you where the scenery cannot be missed, NICE!!! And they have bilingual Chinese and English tour guides, which are super professional.

4:[Multiple options] There are morning/afternoon buses on the Mu Dedicated Line. If you are tired of playing the day before, you can choose the afternoon bus to depart. We are still ok, so we will leave the early bus ~

There are two stops for the early bus on the Mu Special Line, Yonghegong and Shaoyaoju. We got on the bus at Yonghegong ~

Option 2: Dongzhimen Bus 916 Express

Take the 916 Express Bus from Dongzhimen and the terminal is Huairou North Street. About an hour. Not everyone has a seat on the bus. Then you can take the H23 bus branch to Mutianyu Great Wall, but it often runs every 30 minutes and the waiting time is too long. Therefore, many people take black cars to the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area. A small car costs about 50 yuan.

Although the No. 916 bus is available every day, the main disadvantage is that it goes directly to the Mutianyu Great Wall. It is necessary to change buses halfway, which is troublesome and time-consuming. Moreover, the riding environment of black cars is not very good, so it is not recommended very much.

Option 3: Chartered a car and drove there

The advantage of chartering a car is that the time is relatively free, so you can go whenever you want. You can reach the Mutianyu Great Wall by navigation, and there is a two-story underground parking lot in the scenic area. 20 yuan each time (unlimited time on the day)

However, there are also problems. The fare, fuel, highway, parking fees and the effort spent, including to go to the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area, you also need to queue up to buy tickets and take the official shuttle bus. It's not very cost-effective, but this will also be determined based on personal circumstances and needs.

3.[Tickets] Find out about tickets for the Mutianyu Great Wall

When you arrive at the Mutianyu Great Wall, there are three types of tickets. They are scenic spot tickets, ferry tickets, and cable car tickets.

"Ticket"

Adult tickets: Tickets with postcards 45 yuan, regular tickets 40 yuan

Children's tickets: Children under 1.2 meters are free, and children over 1.2 meters are half price is 20 yuan.

Student tickets: For primary and secondary school students and college students, half price is 20 yuan with their student ID card.

Tickets for the elderly: People over 60 years old move for 20 yuan with their ID cards. Beijing registered permanent residence over 60 years old is free of charge.

"Ferry ticket"

The scenic spot stipulates that all tourists need to buy a scenic spot shuttle bus, walk to the ferry station, and queue up to get on the bus. The round-trip fare is 15 yuan. It is about 2.5 kilometers from the ferry station to the mountain. During holidays and peak seasons, the waiting time is about 1 hour. We took the Mu Dedicated Line, so we didn't have to take the shuttle bus and took the original bus directly up the mountain. No need to queue.

"Cable car ticket"

There are two cable car companies on the Mutianyu Great Wall. One is in charge of the "Box Cable Car Twin Cities" and the management of the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area. Another business,"two-way cableway and slide", is operated by a third-party company. The cable car fares of these two companies are the same, so you can choose your own.

Adult cable car tickets: 100 yuan for one-way cable car, 120 yuan for two-way cable car

Children's cable car tickets: children under 1.2 meters are free, children under 1.4 meters: 60 yuan.

Little TIPS:

1. The scenic spot stipulates that adults above 1.4 meters are considered as adults.

2. These two cable car tickets are not universal. The box cable car can go to the No. 14 enemy building, and the cableway cable car can go to the No. 8 enemy building. All tourists must take the cable car up and down the same route.

3. The cable car is a tool that takes us to the Great Wall. It takes an average person 2.5 hours to climb from the No. 14 enemy tower to the top of the No. 20 enemy tower. (This meat test was hahaha)

4.[TIPS] How to climb Mutianyu?

When we arrive at Mutianyu, everything is ready. Where should we start? What is the most comfortable way to walk, and how can you walk without missing the good scenery? In fact, there is no unified answer to this question. There are a thousand ways for a thousand people, but there will always be the most suitable way for the moment.

Walking into the city does require more physical strength, and reaching the enemy towers is limited. In order to save physical strength and spend more time on the Great Wall, the cable car is a good choice.

1. You can take a box cable car to Beacon No. 14 (about 6 minutes). Suitable for all seasons, suitable for the elderly, children and everyone.

2. You can take the cableway to the platform in the middle of beacon towers No. 5-6 (about 5 minutes). Not suitable for the elderly and children, and not suitable for special weather.

3. The nearest way to reach Dengchengkou is the No. 6 beacon tower. (About 1 hour or so, depending on the person).

5.[TIPS] How long is it appropriate to climb the Mutianyu Great Wall? What do you need to bring?

2-3 hours are most suitable to climb the Great Wall. If you don't climb mountains often, it is more appropriate for friends who take the elderly and children to go down the mountain in about 2 hours, and for friends who often climb mountains and exercise, it will take about 3 hours.

Items that need to be brought. Comfortable travel shoes, comfortable clothes, snacks to reserve strength, mineral water

Summer: Sunscreen cream, sun hat, sweat towel

Increase or decrease clothes according to the seasons, and climb the Great Wall easily and comfortably.

6.[Itinerary] No one is a hero who has not reached the Great Wall. Our trip to the Great Wall

The early bus we chose was to gather at Yonghegong Subway Station at 6:30. Feel the subway at this point

There is a team leader checking in when leaving the subway station. Then we got on the bus and set off ~ In about 1.5 hours, we arrived at the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area.

The scenic area stipulates that it takes about 200 meters to walk from the foot of the Great Wall to taking a bus up the mountain. There are many restaurants on the way, such as Burger King. Later, I will write about some restaurants around the Great Wall in Mutianyu.

We took the Mu Special Line up the mountain, not far from the ticket gate. On the way to walk, we would have a view of "Chinese Dream Stone City". Later, I checked that this is the activity base of "Chinese Strange Stone Collectors".

Because we arrived early, we didn't have to queue up at the ticket gate, so we entered quickly. We came back at the ticket gate to make up for the photo, but we forgot about it when we entered.

The few of us took a box cable car to the Great Wall. After all, we came to climb the Great Wall, not to climb it. This cable car just takes us to the Great Wall. We still have to climb the Great Wall ourselves.

The box cable car is like this. One cable car can accommodate 6 people. This cable car is amazing, I have to praise it. We encountered the cable car that former British Prime Minister John Major and former US President Bill Clinton rode on! Compared with other methods of climbing into the city, the cable car is not strenuous and the location to reach is more suitable. So it's quite a bargain. Maybe you can also encounter a "presidential car"~

Riding the cable car that former British Prime Minister John Major had taken, we arrived at enemy building No. 14 in a few minutes. You can see the words "loyal to Chairman Mao" at a glance. The most classic route of the Mutianyu Great Wall is from enemy building No. 14 to enemy building No. 20. This is also our route this time.

There will be sinking areas on the way from enemy buildings No. 15 to No. 16. One is for drainage and flood discharge, and the other is for soldiers to enter through the door below for rescue.

This is enemy building No. 16. Looking into the distance, it is enemy building No. 20 where we are going to climb. Come on, friends!

Look out of enemy building 16. The Great Wall is like a dragon lying on a mountain peak, and the words "loyal to Chairman Mao" in the distance are getting closer and clearer.

Nowadays, the number of tourists has begun to decrease. The air after the rain was exceptionally fresh, breathing with all my heart and soul, feeling the gifts of nature, and the party strode forward and continued to move forward!

The outline of the mountain in the distance gradually became clearer, and the misty fog rippled with a touch of blue, which also added a sense of mystery.

Passing through enemy tower No. 17 and looking to the right, you will see three enemy towers Nos. 18, 19 and 20. This terrain is slightly steep, coupled with the turning of the dragon's big tail, the art of the Great Wall with such a large character is reminiscent of the difficulties and hardships of the ancients when building the Great Wall.

At this time, the autumn leaves on both sides of the city wall began to turn yellow. The red and yellow added between the green tone and the ancient city wall was really the finishing touch. The slope of the road between the enemy building 17 and 18 has begun to increase. After a while, the scenery will be more beautiful.

There is this boundary marker in enemy building No. 18. It is written on the boundary tablet: To the east is Mutianyu, and to the west is Jiaerling. Jiaerling connects Mutianyu and Jiankou, and is one of the 20 passes of the Huairou Great Wall.

Passing through enemy building No. 18, this is enemy building No. 19 in front of you. You need to walk down a few steps to enter the enemy building. Look, the city wall outside is about to connect to the towers above.

Looking out from enemy building No. 19, what you see is really happiness! The rain has basically stopped at this time, and the light from the clouds and the blue in the distance are the best rewards for us!

Coming up from this staircase is enemy building No. 19. These are all post-renovation stairs.

Looking from enemy building No. 19 to enemy building No. 20, more than 400 steps are waiting for tourists who come here to challenge. Okay, let's slow down on the 19th first. This is the steepest part of the whole process.

Looking back from the 19th to the road and the rolling mountains in the distance, it feels so great! Take a break and move forward like enemy tower 20!!

Seeing that we are about to reach the last few steps of enemy building No. 20, it is basically 80 degrees here, which is very steep. We successfully climbed up with the most advanced four-pronged approach ~~

Top the mountain!!! The rain has stopped, and everything is the best arrangement! It's like giving a reward to those who reach the summit! The Great Wall is not open ahead.

7. Supporting facilities of the Mutianyu Great Wall

Tourist Service Center:

The newly built tourist service center at the foot of the Great Wall in Mutianyu is very large. It integrates tourism services, Great Wall cultural display, tourism shopping, catering and other functions. The scenic area will be expanded from the original 8 square kilometers to 24 square kilometers. There is also a cable car rest area on the mountain. The overall facilities of the Mutianyu Great Wall meet the needs of tourists.

Parking issues:

In order to facilitate tourists 'parking, the scenic area has also built a new underground two-story parking lot, with 1100 parking spaces in two large underground and above-ground parking lots. Parking fee is 20 yuan per time. Driving here by car, the car is parked at the foot of the mountain. Tourists need to take a shuttle bus up the mountain.
