First experience of climbing the Great Wall for the first time: Red leaves of the Badaling Great Wall tell autumn
Since childhood, I have been to Beijing, the capital of the people of the country, a few times, but unfortunately I have never visited it well. This time, I took advantage of my trip to Beijing for a meeting and business trip, and quickly arranged a two-day vacation with free time.
Originally, I planned to climb the "wild" Great Wall such as Simatai in Jinshanling, but later I checked the Internet and all said that it was better for my little sister to go to the Great Wall alone for the first time. As for why I didn't go to Juyongguan and Mutianyu, the most famous Badaling naturally has its most famous truth. I have always pursued what others say is always others 'kindness. I still have to go and see it myself and feel it.
Because I had been walking around the Summer Palace for nearly five hours on my boots the day before, I was so tired that I couldn't get up in the morning. I waited until nearly 9 o'clock before getting up. Fortunately, I booked a "bus" scenic spot in advance. The direct train runs at 10 o'clock. I don't dare to be careless any more when I go to the Great Wall. I quickly put on light thermal shoes, take Metro Line 10 (Line 8 is also available), get off at Exit C at Beitucheng Station, and leave the station. You will see a through train wearing a green bus vest picking up the station staff. (The maximum round-trip trip cost by subway is just over ten yuan, and the round-trip bus to the through train is 80 yuan per person.)
There are often windy days in the north, especially when the Great Wall has a stronger wind. Be sure to wear thicker or bring an extra coat. It is not worth it if you come out and have a cold. Also, be sure to remember to take good care of sun protection. You need it all year round, especially when going to open outdoors like the Great Wall.
I would like to commend all the travelers on the same bus. Everyone's quality is still quite high and they are not late. The through train leaves on time from one to ten o'clock. The tour guide is also very considerate and has helped people in need register and buy tickets and cableway tickets on the way. The journey was quite smooth and there were no traffic jams on the highway all the way. It took more than an hour to reach Badaling. After arriving at the scenic spot, I didn't queue up anymore and went in directly by swiping my ID card. It was really convenient and fast.
The return trip time is 4 p.m., so there is a full 4 hours of play time on the Great Wall. But I had to get up early for work and a meeting the next day. I was a little worried that I wouldn't get completely tired, so I still chose to take the cableway up and down. Anyway, after taking the cableway up, you can continue to climb a very classic section. There are also enough slopes, so climbing down is far less tiring than you imagined. If I climbed all the steps by myself, I would probably be half to death.
Maybe I didn't feel very tired when I climbed, but when I thought about how the Great Wall was built, and then looked at it and imagined that it would extend so infinitely, I could feel the grandeur. The architectural designers, craftsmen and people of ancient China were all too great to achieve such a great architectural miracle.
The assembly ended at 4 o'clock and left for the return journey. After everyone was excited to play, the car was filled with whoosh sounds. No matter where I go, I always want to get home. Although it takes more than an hour to return, I always feel that the return time flies very quickly, and I will arrive at Beitucheng Station, the departure point.
This trip to the Badaling Great Wall was a worthwhile trip. I especially like the open natural landscape and look forward to the opportunity to climb other Great Walls.
