1. Pingyao Ancient City Wall

The ancient Pingyao City Wall is a magnificent scenic spot in the ancient city of Pingyao. The ancient Pingyao City Wall is composed of Wengcheng (the two gates in the east and west are Wengcheng), tower towers, corner towers, and Dianjiangtai. This short ancient street also completely retains the relics of shops from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, closely connected with shops in various industries including ticket counters, money houses, pawnshops, medicine shops, butcher shops, satin shops, etc. Today, tourists can buy Pingyao local specialties here.

The Confucian Temple in Pingyao is also known as the Confucian Temple Academy. This is the oldest Confucian Temple among the existing Confucian temples at all levels in my country. The main ancient buildings in Pingyao Confucian Temple include Wenchang Pavilion and Stone Arteries on the city wall. The buildings are simple and elegant, with various stone carvings and wood carvings carefully carved, and have high artistic and historical value.

5. Xietongqingpiao (China Bank Museum)

Xieqingpiao was founded in the sixth year of Xianfeng (1856) and closed in 1913, which lasted for 58 years. During the opening period, there were 33 branches across the country, focusing on the northwest and southwest. Walking west for a while from the City God Temple is Ming and Qing Street. At the junction, there is a wine and vinegar shop that mainly uses wine and vinegar, and another shop is on West Street. I originally wanted to go to Datong, but because I visited the ancient city of Pingyao, which was full of ancient style buildings, I temporarily wanted to see the natural scenery, so I moved to Wutai Mountain. Because I didn't make much preparation, my trip to Wutai Mountain was a bit hurried and I didn't have much understanding. Pingyao Ancient City is quite worth it. You can visit such a large scenic spot for 125 yuan. It is valid for three days, which is enough to enjoy it all. Datong is not far from Beijing, so I plan to visit during the National Day.
