Temple of Heaven Park-Beijing Museum of Natural History-Jingyun Garden-Memorial Hall of Ji Xiaolan's Former Residence-Qianmen Street-Beijing City Planning Exhibition Hall-Qianmen Street-Beijing Railway Station
I thought breakfast in Beijing would be easy to buy, but I didn't expect it to be so difficult. I walked three stops to find this KFC and felt quite happy. The area inside the store is quite large, with a total of two floors. Breakfast is eaten here after 6:00 in the morning. There are not many customers now. I bought a large pancake roll and braised pork with Beijing sauce. It was quite delicious. It was a very Chinese breakfast and it was very suitable for the taste of Northeast China. The other was the breakfast set meal, cheese chicken panini and soy milk, and I also ordered a cup of coffee alone.
The area of Tiantan Park is actually quite large. After breakfast, we took a walk outside. It was just past 8 o'clock, and there were already many tourists.
I arrived at the Beijing Museum of Natural History after 8 o'clock. I thought I had arrived early, but suddenly many school buses arrived, a kindergarten and a primary school arrived. Students lined up at the door early. I suddenly felt that it was a bad time to come that day. Facts proved that my hunch was correct. Almost every venue was rushed to visit. The students were very noisy and the number of people was too large to take photos. At the end of the visit, I couldn't stand it and left hastily. The background sound in the video has not been removed, just to let everyone hear how noisy it is, and their heads will explode!
Tickets: Free visit and need to be booked online one day in advance. Closed on Mondays, Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00, and closed at 16:00.
The appearance of the Natural History Museum is still majestic, but I think it is very beautiful anyway.
The Museum of Natural History has more than 100,000 cultural relics, fossils, and specimens. It has four basic displays and a dinosaur world expo. The number of large-scale overall ancient mammal fossils in its collection ranks second in the world. The Yellow River ancient elephant fossils and dinosaur fossils are famous at home and abroad. Our visit started on the basement floor. The dinosaurs in the Dinosaur Park were all movable and matched with sounds, which was quite interesting. There was also a Dinosaur Park on the first floor, which was connected to the one on the basement floor, so you can visit together. The Aquatic Biology Museum is particularly interesting. It started with small water tanks, and there was a large pool in the middle. Don't touch the fish inside. They can really bite people. Finally, I saw sharks in the undersea tunnel. There is a feeding show at 15:00 every day. Walking into the human body exhibition, I talked a lot about scientific knowledge about the human body.
On the first floor, we visited the Hall of Ancient Mammals, Hall of Ancient Reptiles, Friends of Animals and Humans, and the Prosperity of Invertebrates;
On the second floor, I visited the Origin of Man, the World of Plants, and the Magic Africa. The specimens used in the exhibitions in the Magic Africa were all donated by Mr. Kenneth Beilin. I also saw the specimens donated by Mr. Beilin at the Shenzhen Museum.
The third floor is the Discovery Corner and there is also a 4D theater.
Because I lived near Ji Xiaolan's former residence, I came here to visit Ji Xiaolan's former residence, but I didn't expect to have extra gains. Jingyun Garden is located at the southwest corner of Dazhalan and on the west side of Ji Xiaolan's former residence. Because it is close to Ji Xiaolan's former residence, I initially thought it was just part of the former residence. Historically, this land once belonged to the West Crossing Courtyard of Ji Xiaolan's former residence.
Tickets: Open all day, free to visit.
As a street park, the area of more than 1000 square meters is not small, and the greening and decoration are very good. You can see a big stone inside with the words "the birthplace of Peking Opera. It has a long history. In 1931, Master Mei Lanfang and others established the Beijing National Opera Society in Ji Xiaolan's former residence. It became the site of the" Fu Lian Cheng "Peking Opera class.
This place has profound cultural heritage and is a gathering place of Liyuan Culture, Beijing-style Culture and other cultures. There are many introductions about Peking Opera and many Peking Opera masks.
The entrance of the Memorial Hall of Ji Xiaolan's Former Residence is inconspicuous. The gate facing the street is an auspicious gatehouse on a hard mountain top. The gatehouse is covered with dense branches and leaves, and the golden branches and leaves hang down, making the entrance of the former residence more antique.
This is a wisteria plant more than 200 years old. It has winding branches and leaves covering the sky. It is said that it was planted by Ji Xiaolan personally. If you look at it when the wisteria flowers are in full bloom in May and June, it must be quite dreamy. It is said that during his lifetime, Mr. Lao She often sat at the dining table under the vines to enjoy the beautiful scenery and taste the delicious flavors.
Tickets: 10 yuan in off-season.
Ji Xiaolan's former residence is a Qing-style brick-and-wood structure, belonging to the architectural pattern of a two-way courtyard house. The hall is spacious, bright, elegant and luxurious, and the sculptures are also lifelike.
The front of the backyard is the Yuewei Cottage
The backyard is particularly fresh and elegant. There were two crabapple plants planted by Ji Xiaolan in the courtyard, but now only one is left and it is still full of vitality. The corridor in the backyard is antique and elegant. It is full of small red lanterns. My favorite is the large palace lantern with Ji Mansion written in the middle. Imagine lighting the lanterns at night, it must feel like traveling through.
The bronze statue of Ji Xiaolan must have his standard large cigarette bag. Liu Shaobai once lived here in the 1920s and was then called "Liu Mansion". In 1931, Master Mei Lanfang and others established the Beijing Chinese Opera Society here, becoming the site of the "Fu Lian Cheng" Peking Opera class.
Most of the snack bars on Qianmen Street have no seats. After all, the weather is cold and I can't walk while eating. I see other people holding Zhajiang noodles. The exterior of Wonton Hou is in an antique architectural style, and the inside of the store is also very consistent with the temperament of the front door, with my favorite palace lantern above my head.
Wonton Hou's spoon is very interesting,
We bought beef wontons and chicken wontons, and the taste is quite fresh. The three shredded ingredients are far from what I imagined. I thought they were shredded potatoes, shredded dried tofu and shredded pepper.
After lunch, come over for milk tea. The service attitude of the clerk is very good and very enthusiastic, but the dining area in the store is not large and you need to wait for a waiting table.
After ordering signature milk tea and signature milk green, the clerk asked me if you could carry them? I said I could duck, and then I took it away with trembling. It was really heavy.
While wandering around Qianmen Street, I accidentally discovered Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. It turned out that I only knew that there was a Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Shanghai and Hong Kong, but I had only been to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Shanghai. Beijing is in this exhibition area with Chinese spirit, where there are many Olympic champions.
Arriving at the Beijing City Planning Exhibition Hall, the all-glass transparent exterior looks very tall.
Tickets: Tickets are free and free. There is no need to make an appointment in advance. Use my ID card to exchange tickets. I have a new paper ticket collection. The ticket party is so happy.
The exhibition hall displays Beijing's development history in various ways. It has four floors in total. There are no regular exhibition areas on the first floor, only some sculpture exhibits.
According to my visiting habits, take the straight ladder directly to the fourth floor to start visiting. On the fourth floor, we first visited Beijing's transportation exhibition area, followed by special exhibition areas for environmental protection, water affairs, energy conservation and the Beijing Olympic venues planning and construction exhibition area to show how to become a low-carbon ecological city. There is also a multimedia engine on the fourth floor. It is said that there are also several 4D movies, but I didn't see them. The video in the middle hall is played by time slot, and you can also overlook the urban planning model on the third floor.
On the third floor, go straight to the Beijing urban planning model in the center, which is currently one of the largest urban planning models in the world. People can go up and visit, vividly showing the water flow, bridges and floors.
The exhibition area of the building is mainly to see the history of Beijing, the Beijing Ancient City Changes Exhibition Area and the Beijing Historical and Cultural City Protection Exhibition Area. There are many antique buildings inside. You can also watch video explanations. There are also bronze carvings of "Beijing Bay", bronze embossed of "Old City of Beijing", and a long carefully written scroll of "Tianqu Danque".
I only know that the Forbidden City in Beijing is very large, but I have never had a rough idea of how big it is. The solid wood model of the Forbidden City is really super shocking, and you can feel the majesty of the Forbidden City.
In the photo exhibition of Beijing history on the map, you can also see a brief summary of Beijing's historical names.
The last thing you see on the second floor is the Beijing Urban Master Plan Achievements Exhibition, which will last until 2035.
Returning to Qianmen Street for dinner, it is said that Qianlong came across his house when he was hungry in disguise. He thought it was delicious and named the store owner.
second floor
The 19-yuan ginger crab roe roast meat is his signature. It is a little bigger than I expected. It has no spicy taste of ginger juice and a little less greasy than crab roe soup dumplings;
The wonton in the wonton chicken casserole is stuffed with fennel, and the chicken meat is scattered among it and paired with cabbage. The only drawback is that the soup has a lot of pepper powder, which is very spicy.
The aunt who ordered the meal didn't know anything. She specifically said that she would avoid spicy food, but she also said that it was not spicy and only knew how to collect money.
Because the dinner was too spicy, I went back to Xian Yuxian's house to buy milk tea. I ordered Xiancao Fairy Milk Tea and found that there was no Xiancao jelly. The clerk said I had ordered the wrong one. I had to choose Xiancao jelly milk tea to have Xiancao jelly. I could only make cold drinks.
Then, on the way to find the National Center for the Performing Arts, I got lost, turned around, and lost again, but I couldn't find it.
The waiting room at Beijing Railway Station is really complicated. It feels no different from when I came here when I was a child. It is too messy... The facilities are too old.
