Weather in Beijing: Sunny and very hot
With whom: friends
Accommodation: Yujing Nanluo Hotel
Comment: Take my mom and sister on a trip and live here. The alleyway outside used to make people feel a bit overwhelmed, but inside, there is really a unique cave. The environment is elegant, unique, and very quiet. Antique design, facilities are modern facilities. Towels and slippers are all disinfected and packed in bags, while soap and bath products are quite exquisite. If you want to experience the culture of Beijing's hutongs, you can try living there. Convenient transportation, just on the alley leading to Shichahai from Nanluogu Lane, it's convenient to go anywhere. The attitude of the staff in the store is quite good, and the receptionist is very friendly. She is particularly simple and enthusiastic, truly giving people a feeling of being at home! Positive review!
Let's talk about this trip. Beijing is a frozen imperial city in history, with mottled bricks and tiles infiltrating the leisurely past.
The taste of old Beijing is hidden in the Beijing accent and charm, hidden in the red bricks and gray tiles of the courtyard, flying in the beautiful royal gardens, and also settling in the slow time of strolling in the alleys. It lacks powder and Daisy, exudes an antique flavor, yet it becomes a rich and colorful chapter on its own.
On one side, neon lights flicker, while on the other, the imperial city remains silent. The millennium old city is shining with a brilliant blend of ancient and modern light.
Most Chinese people have a longing and curiosity for Beijing, which is a place they have heard about many times on television and in news reports. The city in history and legends has an inexplicable sense of closeness upon entering, like returning home.
I haven't had the opportunity to explore the city of Beijing well. This spring, I finally achieved my wish. I met my old friends for many years and also experienced a different life in Beijing. Here, there should be exclusive charm throughout the year. I hope to come back in autumn and see the golden and different Beijing throughout the city.
The itinerary for the two-day trip to Beijing was not arranged too tightly. I hope to have time to fully experience the cultural charm of Beijing.

The Palace Museum in Beijing was a royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China, located at the center of the central axis of Beijing. It is one of the largest and most well preserved wooden structure ancient buildings in the world, a world cultural heritage site, and also the most attractive attraction for me on this trip.
There were 24 emperors who lived here, and it was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is now known as the Palace Museum.
A central axis runs through the entire Forbidden City, which is also on the central axis of Beijing. The three major halls, the rear three palaces, and the imperial garden are all located on this central axis. There are many palaces symmetrically distributed on both sides of the central axis, which can be divided into two major parts: the outer court and the inner court. The Inner Court is centered around the three major halls of Taihe, Zhonghe, and Baohe, with the Cultural and Wuying Halls as its two wings. The Inner Court is centered around the Qianqing Palace, Jiaotai Palace, and Kunning Palace, with the six palaces in the east and west as two wings, with a rigorous and orderly layout. The four corners of the Forbidden City all have exquisite and exquisite corner towers, which are exquisitely constructed and beautiful. The palace city is surrounded by a 10 meter high and 3400 meter long palace wall, with a 52 meter wide moat outside.
Arrive by subway early in the morning, queue up for security checks, purchase tickets online, and directly swipe your ID card to enter the park.
Strategy: When visiting the Forbidden City, at least make sure to have time to visit Central and West Roads, as Central Road best reflects the grandeur and grandeur of royal architecture; And the West Road is the area where the Ming and Qing Empresses lived and lived, where you can once again visit the physical objects of Empress Dowager Empress Dowager Cixi's concubines and the office where Empress Dowager Cixi listened to politics. If there is enough time, visit Donglu, as various treasures of the Forbidden City are showcased here in turn. In addition, the Forbidden City has a long history. If you want to fully experience the profound cultural accumulation of the Forbidden City, it is best to hire a tour guide or rent a tour guide guide guide's guide at the guide's guide on the right side of the gate outside the Forbidden City.
The high-tech interactive art exhibition "Along the River during the Qingming Festival 3.0", jointly created by the Palace Museum and Phoenix TV, officially opened on May 29, 2018.
The Qingming Riverside Scene 3.0 is located in the Arrow Pavilion Square of the Forbidden City, with an exhibition hall of about 1600 square meters. There are three exhibition halls: the interactive long scroll of Qingming Riverside Scene, the Sun Yang Shop Immersion Theater, the Hongqiao Ball Screen Cinema, and a cultural space of the Northern Song Dynasty. The exhibition explores the artistic charm, cultural connotations, and historical style of the original work, integrates various high-tech interactive arts such as 8K ultra high definition digital interactive technology and 4D dynamic imaging, and constructs an immersive experience of real and virtual interweaving in the painting.
On the first day, Nanluogu Lane
Nanluoguxiang is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Beijing, with the most well preserved courtyard area in Beijing. Nanluogu Lane starts from Gulou East Street in the north and ends at Di'anmen East Street in the south, with a total length of 786 meters and a width of 8 meters. It is the largest, highest grade, and most resource rich traditional residential area in China, and it preserves the historical relics of the Yuan Dynasty's Dadu neighborhood very well.
Nanluogu Lane runs north-south, with 8 alleys arranged neatly in a fishbone shape from east to west, continuing the ancient "chessboard style" pattern. The entire block is like a big centipede, so it is also known as Centipede Street. It is said that there were two ancient wells in the northernmost part of Nanluogu Lane, which happened to be the two eyes of this centipede. This overall texture of hutongs and quadrangles is a concrete manifestation of the checkerboard style urban architectural pattern of the Yuan Dynasty.
To the north of the Nanluoguxiang block is Gulou East Street, to the south is Di'anmen East Street, to the west is Di'anmen Outer Street, and to the east is Jiaodaokou South Street. The rectangular plot enclosed by these four streets is exactly the two neighborhoods of Yuan Dadu. To the east is "Zhaohui Fang" and to the west is "Jinggong Fang", with Nanluogu Lane as the boundary. Nanluogu Lane is the dividing alley between the two neighborhoods.
From south to north, the eight alleys to the west are Fuxiang Hutong, Suoyi Hutong, Yu'er Hutong, Mao'er Hutong, Jingyang Hutong, Shajing Hutong, Heisesame Hutong, Qiangulou Yuan Hutong, Hougulou Yuan Hutong, Nanxiawazi Hutong, etc; The eight alleys to the east are Chaodou Hutong, Banchang Hutong, Dongmian Cotton Hutong, Beibing Masi Hutong, Qinlao Hutong, Qianyuan'ensi Hutong, Houyuan'ensi Hutong, and Ju'er Hutong.
These hutongs had no names during the Yuan Dynasty, and their names gradually evolved after the Ming Dynasty. For example, Ju'er Hutong was called Ju'er Hutong in the Ming Dynasty and later changed to Ju'er Hutong. It was only called Ju'er Hutong during the Xuantong period of the Qing Dynasty and has continued to this day. Lifang was the basic unit of residential organization in ancient China, as well as the basic unit of urban planning and construction. In the pre Qin period, it was called "li", "lu" or "lu li".
Starting from the Northern Wei Dynasty, the term "fang" appeared. During the planning and design of Yuan Dadu, the neighborhood system was still continued, with the entire city divided into 50 neighborhoods. The wide and straight streets and alleys between the neighborhoods were like a chessboard. During the Ming Dynasty, Beijing was divided into 28 neighborhoods, and the two neighborhoods were merged to be called "Zhaohui Jinggong Fang". In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the inlaid yellow flag.
The structure of Yuan Duli Fang has undergone over 800 years of historical changes and is now completely unrecognizable. However, the Nanluoguxiang area still preserves the historical relics of Yuan Duli Fang very well. The layout of the hutong is so complete, with various forms of mansions and courtyards in the hutong being diverse and colorful.
Aunt Cheng? cos? I feel very strong.
Nanluoguxiang is a representative of Beijing's hutongs, with exquisite courtyards and local residents interpreting the unique charm of Beijing. Walking around Nanluogu Lane, eating Zhajiangmian with fried tripe and a bottle of Arctic Ocean, can't be more perfect.
There are really residents living here. It's not as easy to take the scenic area, and accidentally breaking into someone else's house.
Snacks full of childhood memories.
Starbucks is also decorated in an antique style.
The next day, the Temple of Heaven was first built in the 18th year of the Yongle reign of Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty. The Temple of Heaven was divided into two inner and outer altars by a double-layer wall. The elegant and dignified Zhai Palace, a millennium old tree with a permanent history, has formed a unique temple garden landscape of the Temple of Heaven. But compared to the Old Summer Palace, there is still a significant difference. If time is limited, it is recommended to only visit the Old Summer Palace.
According to historical records, there were formal activities of worshipping heaven and earth, dating back to two thousand BC. It was a place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for a bountiful harvest every year.
In the 13th year of the Jiajing reign (1534), Yuanqiu was renamed as the Temple of Heaven, and Fangze was renamed as the Temple of Earth. After the abandonment of the Great Sacrifice Hall, it was changed to a prayer altar for grain. In the 17th year of the Jiajing reign (1538), the Qigu Altar was abolished. In the 19th year, a new Daxiang Hall was built on the altar, and it was completed in the 24th year. In the 16th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1751), it was renamed as the Hall of Praying for Good Harvests. Multiple repairs and expansions will be carried out in the future.
The next day, the Palace Museum Beijing Lu Xun Museum (Beijing New Culture Movement Memorial Hall) was formed by the merger of the original Beijing Lu Xun Museum and the Beijing New Culture Movement Memorial Hall. It now includes the Lu Xun Museum area and the New Culture Movement Memorial Hall area.

It was first built in the 46th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty. The Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park is located in the western suburbs of Beijing. It was established in 1988 on the site of the Yuanmingyuan Ruins and consists of three parks: Yuanmingyuan, Changchun Garden, and Qichun Garden. The Old Summer Palace is known as the "Garden of Ten Thousand Gardens" and is a world-renowned model of royal gardens that combines Chinese and Western elements.
The Old Summer Palace inherits the excellent gardening tradition of Beijing for over 3000 years. It not only embodies the elegance and splendor of palace architecture, but also the graceful and diverse style of Jiangnan water town gardens. At the same time, it draws on European garden architectural forms and integrates different styles of garden architecture, making it the most outstanding large-scale garden at that time.
Walking through it, there are scenery everywhere, and one can feel the designer's ingenuity, forming connections between each scenery and each "island".

Goodbye here, goodbye elsewhere. Compared to other cities I have been to, Beijing, which is my first time here, has a very familiar and friendly feeling. A light schedule, strolling and savoring every detail. This city has accumulated too many people and their stories that have only appeared in historical books. Each brick and tile has the weight of history, but also has the fleeting changes of time. If you want to settle in any city for a period of time, Beijing must be the first choice, and only by living here can you truly appreciate the difference between this place and others.
