In one month and three days, Beijing will once again attract the attention of the world. On the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, an exciting military parade will be held at Tiananmen Square. This is a historic event showcasing the prosperity of the country and the strength of the people, and a declaration of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Yesterday morning, friends in the capital had the privilege of witnessing a rehearsal of the National Day Parade's aerial flight. As various fighter jets from ten formations leaped over the capital, people were boiling and their WeChat moments were quickly overshadowed.

A friend asked me, where is the best place to visit Beijing for National Day sightseeing? If it's National Day and you're not invited to Tiananmen Square to watch the military parade, then staying in front of the TV honestly and watching the parade is the best place. The live broadcast is full of the most exciting angles and moments.

If you come to Beijing for a holiday, Jingshan Park is truly the first observation deck in the capital.

Jingshan Park is facing the Xuanwu Gate of the Palace Museum from afar, only one way away. However, the number of people visiting Jingshan Park is less than one tenth of the number visiting the Forbidden City. Someone said, who has the stamina to climb Jingshan after walking through the Forbidden City! Some people also charge a 10 yuan ticket for Jingshan! There are also stories about Emperor Chongzhen's hanging on Jingshan, his bad luck, and so on. As a result, many people missed the best opportunity to enjoy the city of Beijing 360 ° unobstructed.

In ancient times, Jingshan gradually formed hills after the diversion of the Yongding River. When the Liao Dynasty built the Yaoyu Palace (now Qionghua Island in Beihai Park), the remaining soil was piled up here. In the 19th year of the Dading reign of the Jin Dynasty, Emperor Zhangzong of Jin built the Taining Palace on the south side of the area and excavated the Xihuatan (now Beihai). The small hills in this area grew higher and higher, and later the Royal Garden was built, known as the "Beiyuan". Surrounded by two walls at the foot of the mountain, and with the Yao Guang Tower built on top, it is known as one of the twelve scenic spots of Jinzhong City.

Some people say that Jingshan was a rockery built for feng shui during the Ming Dynasty when the imperial palace in Beijing was built. However, this statement is actually incorrect as the hills already existed before the Ming Dynasty.

In the fourth year of the Zhiyuan era (1267), Emperor Kublai Khan of the Yuan Dynasty established the Yuan Dadu in present-day Beijing. Jingshan is located in the center of the Dadu city, north of the Yanchun Pavilion, the core building of the imperial palace. Therefore, it was designated as a "backyard" for emperors to visit. As a result, the function and prelude of "Jingshan" sightseeing have been opened.

There is 80000 square meters of mature land in the garden, which the Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty once cultivated here to show the world. And the original Jin Dynasty hill was called "Qingshan", which was the first name of Jingshan.

During the Yongle period, Ming Emperor Chengzu Zhu Di built large-scale cities, palaces, and gardens in Beijing. According to the saying "Canglong, Baihu, Zhuque, and Xuanwu are the four spirits of heaven, with the four directions being right", the north of the Forbidden City is the position of Xuanwu, and there should be a mountain. Therefore, the soil from the excavation of the Guanzi River in the Forbidden City, as well as the accumulation of soil from the Taihe and South China Seas, will be piled up on the "Qingshan", forming five peaks called "Wansui Mountain", which is the second name of Jingshan.

In 1644, Li Zicheng captured Beijing and Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself in Jingshan. In the eighth year of the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, Wansui Mountain was renamed Jingshan. The name Jingshan has three meanings: firstly, it means tall. In the poem "Yin Wu", there is a line that goes "Zhi Bi Jing Shan, pine and cypress Maru Maru", which refers to a Jing Shan located in the capital city of the Shang Dynasty 3000 years ago; Secondly, because this is the place where emperors and empresses enjoy their imperial scenery; Once again, there is a sense of admiration. This name has been used to this day.

Jingshan is located on the central axis of Beijing during the Ming and Qing dynasties, facing the North Sea to the west and facing the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City across the street to the south. It was a royal garden of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. In the past, only emperors could come here to admire the city of Beijing. Now, you can enjoy the same treatment as emperors for ten yuan. Do you think it's too expensive?

Jingshan is 38.6 meters high and was once the commanding heights of Beijing. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the construction of Beijing city changed rapidly, with towering buildings lining the city walls. The ancient city walls were replaced by high-rise buildings, and the city towers were replaced by overpasses. To enjoy the 360 ° unobstructed view of the city, one can only climb tall buildings, which is impossible for tourists.

Due to strict height requirements for new buildings around the Forbidden City, there is basically no obstruction around Jingshan Park except for tall trees. Therefore, this is still the best viewing platform for appreciating the capital city, with a 360 degree unobstructed view.

Wanchun Pavilion is located at the highest point of Jingshan, with a relative height of 45.7 meters. It is the highest and best scenic spot on the north-south axis of Beijing.

Wanchun Pavilion has a yellow glazed tile roof, a green glazed tile with edges cut, four corners pyramidal roof style, and three eaves. The first floor eaves are heavy with seven steps of dougong, while the second and third floor eaves are heavy with five steps of dougong. Two slots of pillars, with six on each side of the outer layer, totaling twenty; There are four on each side of the inner layer, totaling twelve. The first floor platform is connected on all sides, with a wide view, and this is the observation deck.

Standing on the Wanchun Pavilion, looking south is the magnificent palace complex of the Forbidden City. Through the space of the Taihe Hall, the Wenhua Hall, and the Imperial Temple, one can see the modern buildings of the National Museum in beige color. The large screen of Tiananmen Square welcoming National Day has also been erected.

The roofs of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign buildings on the central axis are Zhengyang Tower, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Monument to the People's Heroes, Tiananmen Square, Taihe Hall of the Forbidden City, and Baohe Hall, respectively. The yellow color of classical architecture symbolizes the highest imperial power in China's feudal society.

The highest level ridge of ancient Chinese architecture appears in one scene, and it is estimated that it can only be appreciated here. Double eaved hall style roof and single eaved hall style roof. Xieshan style, double eaved or single eaved. Each style of ridge is the essence and the highest level of Chinese ancient architecture.

The Chuxiu Palace, Changchun Palace, Yongshou Palace, Taiji Hall, and other buildings on the west side are connected by high palace walls, making it the most prone place for imperial concubines to engage in palace fights.

Yuhua Pavilion is a Tibetan Buddhist Tantric Buddhist temple built by Emperor Qianlong in the Forbidden City. It is a tower style building with a three story exterior and a "bright three dark four" layout. On each of the four ridges stands a copper gilded golden dragon, which is the symbol of the building and the four golden dragons that can only be seen in Jingshan. The modern architecture in the background is an office building of a special institution outside the Forbidden City.

The Palace Museum Corner Tower is the most beautiful building in the Forbidden City. Compared with the solemn and majestic Hall of Supreme Harmony and other halls, the Corner Tower has more beauty and spiritual energy. The Palace Museum Corner Tower is known as the most photographed group of buildings in the Forbidden City, especially in the northwest and northeast corners. It is the best spot for shooting sunrise and sunset. Beijing's cinematographers have dedicated 365 days to filming corner towers, and their perseverance is admirable. But when taking photos of the northwest corner tower from a top-down perspective, only by coming to Jingshan can we capture the scenery.

Standing in Jingshan and looking southwest, a pool of shimmering lake water is surrounded by green trees and Chinese style buildings with green, yellow glazed tiles and gray tiles. This is Zhongnanhai.

Looking east from Wanchun Pavilion, there are layers of modern architectural complexes. The tallest and most distinctive building in the distance is the New CCTV Building, jokingly referred to as the "Big Shorts" by people in Beijing.

These high-rise buildings seem to be much shorter here, mostly located next to the second, third, and fourth rings of Chaoyang District, becoming landmarks of the new Beijing.

Green trees, ancient buildings, and modern high-rise buildings do not appear at many angles on a single image or horizontal line, and can only be captured in Jingshan.

Moving to the north of the central axis, the yellow glazed tile building that catches the eye is very eye-catching. It was called the Shouhuang Hall during the Ming and Qing dynasties and was specifically used as a place for the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to rest, store their remains, and worship their ancestors.

The Shouhuang Palace used to be the office and activity venue of the Beijing Youth Palace for a long time after the liberation. Ten years ago, it officially returned to Jingshan Park.

The building complex of Shouhuang Hall is very large, with four columns and a nine floor memorial archway on the east, west and south sides. There are palace gates, side halls, well pavilions, animal slaughter pavilions, divine warehouses, and so on. And once stored a large number of relics of the former emperor and a large number of cultural relics such as paintings.

After the Eight Nation Alliance invaded Beijing in 1900, Navy Lieutenant Pierre Loti came to the Shouhuang Palace while searching for a residence for French Rear Admiral Frey. The French army occupied the Shouhuang Palace and used it as the headquarters. Pierre Lotti wrote in his diary (LesdernierjoursdePekin, also known as "The Last Days in Beijing" in Chinese): "On Tuesday, October 23, 1900, in Beijing, when I pushed open the heavy gate of the Shouhuang Palace, it was pitch black inside. Inside the hall, I opened a dusty box containing hundreds of imperial seals made of whole pieces of agate, jade, or gold." A few days later, Commander Frey led his troops here and Japanese journalist Ichikawa captured him and his subordinates next to the bronze deer in the Shouhuang Palace. Photos. According to the ancestral regulations of the Qing Dynasty, the statues and seals of the deceased emperor and his concubines must be enshrined in the Shouhuang Hall. French Major General Frey and his subordinates looted him completely.

Looking north along the central axis beyond the Shouhuang Hall, there are two ancient buildings with green roofs, which are the Bell and Drum Towers.

The Bell and Drum Tower, with its two floors vertically arranged in front and behind, is majestic and magnificent, serving as the time center of the capital cities of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. In the history of bell and drum towers in all cities across the country, Beijing Bell and Drum Tower has the largest scale and highest form, and is also one of the iconic buildings in the ancient capital of Beijing. It is an important building that witnesses the nearly century long history of China.

Leaping over the Bell and Drum Tower and looking north, there is a pile of modern buildings resembling nails, which is the sightseeing tower located in the Olympic Forest Park. After the completion of the watchtower, many people thought it was used to light the Olympic torch, but the result was really unexpected.

Looking further north, you will see the undulating Yanshan Mountains.

Moving westward from the nail tower, a building resembling a torch is very eye-catching, and this is the Pangu Grand View. It is located in the core area of the Asian Olympic Games, and the opening price of apartments in 2008 was 150000 yuan per square meter, setting a new record for real estate prices in Beijing that year.

The Pangu Grand View is only 150 meters away from the Water Cube and less than 800 meters away from the Bird's Nest Stadium, with a very advantageous location. Its design concept is to effectively integrate the 5000 year old Chinese dragon totem with the essence of traditional Chinese culture, with a 192 meter high office building as the dragon's head, three international apartments, and one seven star hotel extending from south to north for nearly 700 meters, making the entire building shape like a snow-white dragon.

In the past two years, amidst the central anti-corruption storm, the behind the scenes trading events of political and business elites have once again entered people's vision. Just last week, the "Dragon Head" of Pangu Grand View was auctioned off, setting a property price of 5.187 billion yuan.

Moving from the north central axis to the west side, a white tower can be seen from afar, and the farthest building resembling a lightning rod is the CCTV color TV tower. The White Pagoda is built on Qionghua Island within Beihai Park and is a landmark of Beihai Park. To the south of the North Sea, there are two small water bodies connected, Zhonghai and Nanhai.

In the northwest corner of Beihai, there are three buildings that are jokingly called "big insoles" by the people of Beijing. This is the West Ring Square, located at the Xizhimen of old Beijing. Beijing Metro lines 2, 4, and 13 intersect underground here, and above ground is Beijing North Station heading towards Inner Mongolia and Yanqing. The most famous one here is the Xizhimen Overpass, which has produced many funny jokes.

The tallest building in the northeast corner of Xihuan Island Square is the Chinalco Building. It was a lonely high-rise building more than a decade ago, but ten years later it remains so lonely. It can be seen that the modern architectural complex and landmark buildings in Beijing are mainly located in the CBD area to the east of the city, and the economic and cultural life in the east is significantly higher than that in the west.

Many foreign self guided tourists like to come to Jingshan, the first panoramic platform. They say that after seeing the Forbidden City, they are more willing to come here to see it from a different angle and see Beijing from all angles.

There are five peak pavilions on Jingshan Mountain in sequence, including Guanmiao Pavilion, Zhouguan Pavilion, Wanchun Pavilion, Fulan Pavilion, and Jifang Pavilion. Among them, the highest Wanchun Pavilion is the best located, with a 360 ° ring without blind spots or obstructions. It is now the first observation deck in the capital that belongs to the common people.

A friend asked me if it would be the latest time to experience the atmosphere of the military parade during the National Day holiday, of course. But I estimate that the towering high ground of Jingshan will be closed, and even Jingshan Front Street, Wenjin Street, and Wusi Street may be closed. So, it's better to find a place with a TV or watch live streaming on your phone. Now that the 5G era has arrived, those who opened it first can enjoy smoother information services this time.

However, on the other hand, if we could stand in this place where the emperors admired the capital 700 years ago on the 11th of the lunar calendar, set up a tripod, set up a camera, and drag colorful smoke as aerial fighter jets leapt over the Forbidden City, would this moment and the cost of 2 or 10 yuan for a ticket be worth it?

Encountering is also beautiful, and the city is already covered in dust.
