Appreciate the autumn scenery of Fangshan and stay in the new high-end and warm homestays around the capital city
Stepping on autumn in the surrounding mountains of Beijing, returning to Beijing and realizing it's deep autumn, I immediately went to the mountains with my friends to stay for two days and enjoy the autumn! Appreciating red leaves on the weekend in Fangshan, take a section of the Beijing Kunming Expressway and then drive along the 108 National Highway into the mountain. The sunshine is shining all the way, and the mountain road is winding and winding, with full red leaves covering the valley. This road has such beautiful autumn scenery! Unfortunately, it's not convenient for me to take photos while driving alone.
Shooting: Emotional Pill Cells"Autumn is an incredible miracle that has been extended for such a long time, which always makes people feel a bit uneasy." - Yu Guangzhong. Who wouldn't love this gorgeous autumn color? When the south is still evergreen all year round, the north is already filled with mountains filled with paint, even fuller than the colors of the most intense oil paintings.
Enter the mountains and give this autumn a more ceremonial feel. On the weekend, we stayed in a boutique homestay in the third space of Fangshan. There was a spacious courtyard with several bedrooms, and each of us occupied one. The housekeeper prepared delicious farmhouse meals, and the sunlight shone into the house just right.
The third space homestay is located in the nearest mountainous area of Beijing. It has now opened 12 small courtyards, 26 rooms, 4 courtyards, and a particularly impressive mountain caf é. Walking out next door is the 500 year old Daoist Temple and Zhenwu Temple, with evening drums and morning bells singing scriptures, making people feel at ease. Drinking tea and reading in the room; Appreciate red leaves on the trail behind the mountain and offer incense at the Zhenwu Temple; Experiencing handicrafts with good friends is an incredibly enjoyable weekend.
1. Sunshine Cafe: Meeting You in the Mountains for the First Time
Follow the winding mountain road and road signs, first arrive at the coffee shop in the third space, check in at the coffee shop, and enjoy a cup of coffee while enjoying the bright autumn scenery. There must be several such scenes in life, which are the ideal life in our hearts.
You can come to the coffee shop at night to watch movies, with the projector on the big screen, which may be the best nightlife in the mountains.
2. Yunyinli Courtyard: Mountain Life
Continuing walking up the mountain from the coffee shop for about 5 minutes, you will arrive at the small courtyard. The butler brewed steaming mountain tea, a light brown tea, and a faint aroma of grass and trees at the entrance.
The designers of homestays, while retaining the characteristics of northern dwellings, incorporate modern aesthetic ideas around the local native environment. We live in Yunyin No.1 Courtyard, which is like a rectangular quadrangle with swings, sand pits, and a swimming pool.
The courtyard is surrounded by mountains, with colorful undulating peaks all over its head. The view is vast, and the autumn countryside is full of poetry. The bedroom is equipped with simple Chinese style furniture.
There is also a tea bed near the window, with a light gray and beige main color tone that gives a light and comfortable feeling. I didn't expect there to be a solid wooden bathtub, and I was looking forward to taking a bath while listening to the wind and birds singing.
3. Butler style in hospital service: food experience
The delicious three meals cooked by the housekeeper aunt. While enjoying the unique natural scenery. Taste unique delicacies, sleep on the mountain, and enjoy poetry and distant places. The family sat at the dining table, with the aunt behind them cooking and eating. Shredded potatoes, hand torn cabbage, mom's taste of hand rolled noodles at noon, and spring cake banquet at night. The freshly baked pancake with rolled noodles fills the entire yard with a fragrant aroma.
Remembering how I used to sweat profusely playing downstairs when I was a child, my grandmother suddenly shouted for dinner. A group of children scattered around and rushed back to their respective homes to have a lively dinner. If we were to bring the children over, there should be a bear child whose hand had already reached out to the fragrant pancakes.
4. Handmade workshops:
In the third space, you can experience hand drawn fans, masks, and tie dyeing.
A group of us are painting masks in the yard. Carving a pumpkin lantern, the butler prepared the blank mask and paint. The only thing left was how to unleash my imagination. As soon as I let go of it, I drew a wide variety of things, and even a few of them were unbearable, making me burst into laughter.
Knocking and dyeing is the simplest, closest to nature, and environmentally friendly, especially recommended for parent-child family experiences. Just a solid colored handkerchief or a white short sleeved T-shirt, prepare a stone and some leaves and flowers of different colors and shapes with one piece. All the ingredients come from nature, green mint leaves, red roses, orange persimmon leaves, as long as they are what you like.
Using your favorite leaves and petals, place your favorite design on a handkerchief to create your own logo. Then, use a stone or small hammer to gently tap the leaves onto the handkerchief, slowly and quietly adding their color and texture to create a natural color. That will be dyed in the handkerchief to get a naturally dyed handkerchief.
5. Climbing for a walk:
There are three hiking trails next to the courtyard for hiking and enjoying the autumn scenery of Tianzhu Peak. Following the road behind the courtyard is the nearest mountain trail, which is very wild and interesting. The ground is covered with fallen leaves, and the trees are also intertwined with red, yellow, and green. Autumn is refreshing and sunny, and stepping on it at this time truly does not disappoint the most beautiful season of the year.
6. Surrounding scenic spots: Zhenwu Temple:
Next to the courtyard is the old temple with a history of over 400 years - Zhenwu Temple. Visitors do not need to enter the temple to visit. The Zhenwu Temple is located in Shangyingshui Village, Fangshan District, and was first built in the Ming Dynasty. Due to the spirituality of the Taoist temple and the main hall dedicated to the Zhenwu Emperor, it is known as the "Little Wudang" in the north within Taoism.
The Zhenwu Temple consists of three courtyards and two main halls, respectively dedicated to Emperor Zhenwu and Emperor Bixia. There are several Zhenwu temples in Beijing, and Zhenwu Emperor, also known as Xuantian God, is the god of the north in Chinese mythology. Xuanwu, commonly referred to as "Qinglong, Baihu, Zhuque, and Xuanwu" in mythology, is also known as Zhenwu Emperor. In the "Faraway Journey" section of Qu Yuan's "Chu Ci", it is recorded that "he summoned Xuanwu and fled to his home.". The shape of Xuanwu Seven Mansions is like a turtle and snake, so it is noted that "Xuanwu is called a turtle and snake, located in the north, so it is called Xuan, with scales and armor on its body, so it is called Wu.".
There are also hundreds of years old ancient trees in the courtyard, whose leaves have turned golden and will complete another cycle of life. There are also four side halls, two, two accompanying buildings, and more than ten mountain houses, with a total construction area of 3000 square meters. Zhenwu Temple is the central temple of dozens of villages in a radius, with a high level of incense and fame.

There are bell towers and drum towers in the courtyard, and the sound of the evening drums and morning bells can be heard every morning and evening, making people feel peaceful. I actually feel that if you want to seek inner peace by avoiding the world for a few days, you can come and stay here. As the smoke of burning incense wafts, the singing sound in my ears sings out all kinds of things in the world.
7. Surrounding scenic areas: Silver Fox Cave: Admission to the Silver Fox Cave scenic area will be given as a complimentary ticket for special offers upon check-in
The Silver Fox Cave is located in Xiayinshui Village, Fozizhuang Township, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing. It is the largest large-scale karst cave group in the north that combines water and drought, named after its bell shaped milk resembling a cat headed silver fox. It was originally discovered by locals who were mining coal. Indeed, the village has abundant coal resources and a long history of mining. The villagers used to mainly focus on coal mining and transportation. At the beginning of the 21st century, in order to protect the local ecological environment, the village committee responded to national policies, called for and led the transformation of the village's mineral economy. The villagers moved as a whole to live in Liangxiang, gradually developing from the former black industry to the current green industry.
This is a relatively old scenic spot in Beijing. I have heard of it since I was young, and many school spring outings also choose to come here to experience the unique geological landscape. Yinhu Cave is also the only natural scenic cave in North China that integrates water and drought caves. We tried to take a boat tour inside the cave, and the water quality was excellent. The water at a depth of 6-7 meters is still clear and bottomless. It is reported that the water here meets the standards for natural mineral water, but do not drink it directly, cough cough. I can hear the sound of an underground waterfall in the distance, but there is no safe passage, so I cannot see it with my own eyes. My companions say it's like exploring tomb raiding notes.
The cave space was formed over millions of years, and there are not only various forms of calcium carbonate chemical deposits such as stalagmites, stone pillars, stone flags, and stone shields inside the cave, but also rare quantities of stone chrysanthemums, crystal flowers, goose tubes, stone pearls, stone grapes, and crystal clear calcite, making the landscape unique.
For many years, under the leadership of Secretary Zhao, Shangyingshui Village has actively developed the tourism and vacation industry, revitalized idle rural resources, established collectively owned homestays, transformed idle rural houses in old villages into boutique homestays, introduced professional management personnel, and provided training for villagers to work. On the one hand, it has revitalized idle rural resources, and on the other hand, it has solved the employment problem of some idle personnel in the village. Why don't you go here and experience the mountain life.
Transportation Guide: Self drive to locate a boutique homestay in the third space of Shangyingshui Village, Fangshan District. Take the Beijing Kunming Expressway or Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway first, follow a section of mountain road along National Highway 108, and reach it along the road signs.
