It takes an hour by car from Badaling to reach the Summer Palace. Hall of Joyful Longevity

It is the main building in the residential and living area of the Summer Palace. It is the place where Empress Dowager Cixi resides. Originally built during the Qianlong period. Leshou Hall faces Kunming Lake, backed by Wanshou Mountain, with Renshou Hall to the east and a long corridor to the west. It is the best place to live and play in the park.

More than 500 stone lions of different sizes and shapes are carved on the railings on both sides of the stone bridge.

It is the only building in the Summer Palace with a Western style. Its predecessor was the release platform of Yuanjing Temple in the Ming Dynasty. When Emperor Qianlong repaired Qingyi Garden, he changed the platform to a boat and renamed it "Stone Boat". The stone boat is 36 meters long and is carved and stacked with marble. There are two floors of ship building on the hull, with flower tiles on the floor, stained glass windows, and brick carvings on the top for decoration. When it rains, the rainwater that falls on the top of the boat is discharged into the lake through the four dragon heads of the boat through the hollow pillars at the four corners, with a very clever design.
