2019 is almost halfway through. Thinking about it's been a long time since I haven't traveled. The most recent trip was a trip to Wuyuan in the spring of 2018. Returning to Beijing during this vacation, I had two free days. I searched around Beijing for places I didn't want to go. It happened that Beijing was hosting the 2019 World Expo. It was a new online celebrity attraction that Beijing must check in this year. So I planned this two-day tour of the Great Wall and the World Expo.
[Schedule]
DAY1: Drive the Badaling Great Wall in the morning, visit the World Expo in the afternoon, and stay at Yanqing Hotel in the evening;
DAY2: Continue visiting the Expo in the morning and return in the afternoon.
【Tips】
1. There are daily tourist traffic restrictions on the Great Wall and the World Expo. The Badaling Great Wall is limited to 65,000 people per day, and the World Expo is limited to 180,000 people per day. Tickets for both places must be booked online. You can use WeChat to follow "Beijing Local Treasures" and enter "Badaling" and "World Expo" respectively to find the online ticketing entrance.
2. Tickets for the Great Wall are 40 yuan, and tickets for the Expo are 120 yuan. There is a 10% discount for bookings for the Expo two days in advance.
3. If you enter the Expo after 16:00, your ticket will be valid for the next day. It is recommended to use this method to avoid the midsummer sun, and to enjoy the night view of the park and the light and shadow show at the Guirui Theater at night. The moonscape of the forest.
4. The performance time of the light and shadow show at the Guirui Theater is 20:00-20:45 p.m., and the moon illusion in the light and shadow forest is 19:00-20:30 p.m. There is a conflict between the times, so you can only choose one. It should be noted that the light and shadow show at Guirui Theater requires an appointment in advance, and an appointment application can only be submitted in the park.
5. There are sightseeing battery cars at the Expo. Each time you get on the bus, it costs 10 yuan/person. You should pay attention to the collection time of the car at 21:00.
6. These two scenic spots will have a lot of tourists during weekends and summer vacations. It is recommended to choose non-weekend times to save the queue time; most of the time during the Expo is summer, so it is recommended to move to outdoor exhibition areas and exhibition parks when it is cool in the morning and evening. Go to indoor exhibition halls during the sun exposure period.
7. Self-driving and choose to take the Sixth Ring Road to get on the Badaling Expressway or Beijing-Li Expressway. The Beijing-Li Expressway is a newly built highway specially built for the opening of the World Expo. There are few vehicles, but the left lane of this road is a dedicated road for the World Expo. Only buses and vehicles marked by the World Expo are allowed to pass through 7:00 to 11 o'clock in the direction of Beijing and 17:00 to 22 o'clock in the direction of Beijing. Violation will be fined 100 yuan. There are also several ultra-long tunnels on this road, so you should pay attention to controlling your speed.
8. Bus lines can be taken from Deshengmen in Beijing by taking the No. 919 bus line directly or taking the S2 bus line from Huangtudian Station to the Expo; you can also take the dedicated bus line for the Expo (ticket price is 16 yuan) at four stations with rail transit connections, including Zhuxinzhuang Station, Tiantongyuan North Station, Bei 'anhe Station and Jin' anqiao Station.
[Travel Notes]
[Day1 June 18]
We started from home at 7 a.m. and drove to the Badaling Great Wall. This time happened to be the morning rush hour for work. We chose to take the Sixth Ring Road and then take the Badaling Expressway (Beijing-Tibet Expressway). The Badaling Expressway turned out to be the most congested highway in Beijing, especially with a large number of large vehicles. At present, trucks of more than 4 tons are not allowed to enter the city all day long on the high-speed direction, and trucks of more than 2 tons are not allowed to enter the city from 6 a.m. to 14 noon. Therefore, the road is still smooth, and the Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area takes less than an hour and a half.
There are multiple parking lots in the Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area. The top one closest to the entrance of the Great Wall is the Guntiangou Parking Lot. From here, you can board the Great Wall without taking a shuttle bus from the scenic area; the bottom are the Heilongtan Parking Lot and the Chaxi Parking Lot. Here, you need to take the free shuttle bus from the scenic area to the Guntiangou Parking Lot to board the Great Wall. There are not many vehicles that can be parked in the Guntiangou parking lot. It is generally reserved for travel buses and scenic area staff. Private cars can also get on in the morning when scenic area staff are not yet at work.
It was already past eight o'clock in the morning when we arrived at the scenic spot. We were guided by the staff to the Chaxi parking lot, and from here we took the free shuttle bus from the scenic spot to the scenic spot. Today is not the weekend, and in addition, it arrived early. The tourist bus from the city has not arrived yet. There are not many vehicles parked in the parking lot, and there are not many tourists taking the shuttle bus. The last time I came to the Great Wall was ten years ago. On a weekend during the summer vacation, I couldn't find a parking space in the parking lot. I had to wait in line for more than half an hour on the shuttle bus. I suffered an old crime.
The shuttle bus takes less than ten minutes to the entrance of the Great Wall. There is a tour guide on the bus who briefly introduces the precautions for riding, an overview of the Badaling Great Wall and other information. The terminal point of the shuttle bus is the Guntiangou Parking Lot. From here, you can take the cable car directly to the Great Wall. After walking to the city and walking further about 800 meters, you will reach the boarding ticket gate. Starting from June this year, all tickets for the Great Wall will be booked online through real-name reservations. Tickets are 40 yuan and you can enter the park with your ID card. As a 5A-level scenic spot known as the eighth wonder of the world, compared to some scenic spots in other places, which often cost 200 to 300 yuan, this price is really close to the people.
The Badaling Great Wall tour is divided into the south line and the north line. The south line has 7 towers and the north line has 12 towers. The departure starts from the Guancheng ticket gate. Generally, everyone who goes to Badaling must go to the North Great Wall. The North Great Wall opens early. There are many tourists and many places to take photos. The North Eighth Floor is the highest point of the Badaling Great Wall, and it is also the boarding and unloading station of the cable car. If you are physically strong, you can continue walking without having to turn back. There is a mountain pass near the North 10th floor, and you will come out to Badaling Bear Paradise. You can also choose to continue to walk to the end of the northern line-the 12th floor of the north, and then return to the Xiashan Pass. Of course, you can go to the south line first and take a photo with Hanbei before going to the north line. It takes 2-3 hours to climb the Badaling Great Wall.
This is my fifth time to visit the Badaling Great Wall. The first time was when I was in college in 1985. The most recent time was ten years ago. Every time I came before, I climbed up step by step from the bottom. Because I had to visit the World Expo in the afternoon, in order to save time and strength, I chose to take the cable car to climb the Great Wall this time. Cable car tickets are 140 yuan round trip and 100 yuan one way.
After going up the cableway, you will directly reach the North Eighth Floor. The scenery here is the best and it is the best place to have a panoramic view of the Badaling Great Wall. The most dangerous part is the section from the north 8th floor to the north 10th floor. Haohan Slope is on this section. Only by climbing this section of the Great Wall can you be considered a hero.
The Great Wall is the longest built and most extensive military defense facility in the world. It is famous around the world for its wide distribution, huge engineering and majestic nature. It can be said to be a natural architectural spectacle that is cleverly integrated with military engineering, architectural art and nature.
The Badaling Great Wall was built in the Ming Dynasty. The wall is built with strips of stone and is very strong. It is the highest building specification among the Great Wall. The walls are deep and thick, giving people an indestructible feeling.
We stopped for a while on the north 10th floor and watched as the sun became more and more and more tourists came up, so we took the cable car down the mountain. There were free photos at the entrance of the cable car station. Without thinking too much, everyone went up and took a photo.
At this time, there were not many tourists returning by cable car. They went down the mountain in an empty cable car and went to the cable car station at the foot of the mountain to ask for photos taken on the Great Wall. Only then did they realize that the free one-inch photos were given, and the enlarged ones cost 50 yuan. Looking at the photos were okay, I spent 100 yuan to take two enlarged photos.
When you come out and take the scenic spot shuttle bus back to the Chaxi parking lot, the entire tour of the Great Wall took less than 2 hours. Drive to the Yanqing Urban area where the Beijing World Expo is located. The Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area is only 10 kilometers away from the World Expo. It is a 20-minute drive. First, you will arrive at the GreenTree Inn Hotel. This hotel is only 3 kilometers away from the World Expo. There is a large parking lot at the entrance of the hotel. Due to the World Expo, hotel prices in Yanqing have soared. Although it is an economic hotel in the outer suburbs, the price is still more than 400 yuan.
After a short rest at the hotel, it was almost lunchtime. After searching the wind, I chose a Northeast Iron Pot Stewed Fish Restaurant that ranks among the top among Yanqing cuisine. This restaurant may not have a big reputation, but the online reviews are good. I picked a 3.5-pound Wujiang fish, served it with rice flour, potatoes, lettuce and other side dishes, corn paste cakes, and stewed it in a large iron pot. It tasted really good. It was an authentic Northeastern style stove fish.
After lunch, I returned to the hotel for a lunch break. The sun was very sunny during the day in mid-June in Beijing, and the highest temperature today reached 35 degrees. If I went outdoors at this time, it would not be easy.
I rested in the hotel until 4 p.m. and drove to the World Expo. At this time, the sun felt much weaker than a few hours ago.
The 2019 World Horticultural Exposition in Beijing, China (hereinafter referred to as the Beijing World Expo) is an international event approved by the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE) and the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH). It is hosted by the Chinese government and hosted by Beijing City. It will be held in Yanqing District, Beijing City from April 29 to October 7, 2019, with a duration of 162 days. The first International Horticultural Exposition was held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 1960, and has been held for more than 30 times. Before that, China had successfully bid for the Kunming World Expo, Xi'an World Expo and other World Expo. The Beijing World Expo has 503 hectares of core parks, more than 1200 new varieties of plants, and more than 100 special exhibition parks. It is the largest World Expo ever held. Because the park is located only 10 kilometers away from the Badaling Great Wall, it is also known as the "World Expo at the foot of the Great Wall".
Tickets for the Beijing World Expo must be booked online. Tickets are 120 yuan on weekdays and 160 yuan on designated days (holidays). There are corresponding discounts for elderly students and military personnel, with a 10% discount on tickets purchased two days in advance. The park enters the park at 8:00 a.m., stops at 18:30 a.m., and closes at 21:30 p.m.., and enters the park at 16:00 on the first day. Tickets are valid for the next day (the first day is weekdays, except that the second day is a designated day).
The Beijing World Expo is very large, covering an area of 503 hectares and being the size of two Summer Palace. It will take at least two days for all venues and exhibition parks to be fully rotated. If it is on holidays and weekends, popular venues will have to queue up. It is best to download the "Expo2019" mobile app. Through this App, you can plan your tour routes, learn about the introduction of each exhibition hall and exhibition park, and make an appointment for the Guirui Theater. It is specially reminded that the Guirui Theater has only 1000 seats and that you must make an appointment in advance to watch the show. Enter, because the mobile app will locate the visitor's location when making an appointment, and only if you are in the park area can you submit an appointment application, so you must submit an appointment application as soon as possible after entering the park.
I planned two half-day tour routes. On the first day, I went to the China Pavilion, the International Pavilion, and the World Horticultural Exhibition Area. On the evening, I went to the Guirui Theater to watch the light and shadow show and the music fountain performance. On the second morning, I went to Baiguoyuan, Baivegetable Garden, Botanical Museum, Gardening Town, Huatian Field, Yongning Pavilion and other scenic spots.
Follow the Expo2019 mobile application guidelines and drive to the P4 parking lot closest to Gate 1. Here, I would like to like the parking lot settings of the Expo. The Expo has set up a total of 9 parking lots with more than 17000 parking spaces. The car is charged 10 yuan per parking. Today is a weekday, and the sky is empty when the parking space is large, and not many cars are parked.
The parking lot is only separated by one road from the gate of the scenic spot. The theme of Gate 1 is the Gate of Rites and Music. The gate design is simple and atmospheric, and the gate is equipped with an awning for queuing in a very humane manner.
You can get a guide map of the Expo at the service station at the gate. In addition, you can go to the place where the goods are sold to buy a "passport" of the Expo for 30 yuan each. This passport can be stamped with the seal of this country in the park to every national venue. It is a check-in and is very commemorative.
The World Expo will enter the park with their ID card under their real name. Each gate will be provided by a volunteer. I have a little experience at the World Expo. Volunteers are everywhere. Thank you for their contribution to this World Expo.
The first stop at the entrance is the China Pavilion, one of the most popular venues of the Expo. Fortunately, it is already afternoon and there are fewer tourists, so you can enter without queuing.
The two ends of the roof of the China Pavilion are slightly tilted, as light as a bird's wings. The semi-circular wooden outline is like a warm jade handle stretching among the green mountains and clear waters. The steel structure roof of the China Pavilion is equipped with photovoltaic glass, which has higher light absorption efficiency. Most of the exhibition halls of the exhibition hall are built under terraces and are integrated with the land landscape, reflecting the integration of farming civilization and horticultural culture. A rainwater collection system is set up on the roof, the site is paved with permeable water, and a rainwater storage pool is set up underground. The recycled rainwater will be used for terrace irrigation to form ecological microcirculation.
The display content of the China Pavilion consists of four major parts, namely, the Gardening Industry Achievements Exhibition Area of China's provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, the China Horticulture High-tech Achievements Exhibition Area, the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Flower Arrangement Art Exhibition Area, and the Ecological Culture Exhibition Area. The exhibition areas of each province, autonomous region and city have their own characteristics, showing the beauty of horticulture and cultural characteristics of each region.
The most attractive thing to the audience in the Heilongjiang exhibition area is this huge wild Ganoderma lucidum, which specially reminds the audience: Ganoderma lucidum is real, please do not touch it.

Along the tour route, at the exit on the first floor is a sinking water garden with a diameter of 16 meters, which is used to collect rainwater from the roof.
Coming out of the China Pavilion is facing Guishui Lake, which was built with originally abandoned fish ponds. Opposite the lake is the Guirui Theater.
The China Pavilion is hosting the "China Pavilion Jiangxi Day" event today.
Today's second stop is the International Pavilion. The International Pavilion is also a tourist attraction for check-in tourists. The main building of the International Pavilion, which is far opposite the China Pavilion, is also very eye-catching. Its roof consists of 94 flower umbrellas.
More exotic bonsai art and handmade art. In the museum, you can ask the exhibition area service staff to stamp the passport cover to add fun to the tour.

From the International Pavilion, opposite is the World Horticultural Exhibition Area, where 41 outdoor exhibition parks built by more than 80 countries and international organizations have been built, including 34 independent exhibition parks and 7 joint exhibition parks. In this colorful exhibition area, various horticultural cultures and human civilization collide and merge amid huge differences, forming a unique landscape.
There are many exhibition parks in various countries and regions in the exhibition, and we have visited almost all of them. The ones worth seeing include the German Garden, the Turkish Garden, the Qatar Garden, the French Garden, the British Garden, etc., and other national gardens can be seen outside.
The German Garden has the theme of "Sowing the Future" and aims to demonstrate the contribution of modern horticulture and advanced technology to the sustainable development of the city.
You can receive a flower seed at the entrance of the German Garden
The Turkish Garden is a very suitable exhibition garden for taking photos, with a strong exotic flavor.
Qatar Garden is the largest horticultural exhibition area in the world. It is really a local tycoon, with a total of three floors.

Next to the World Horticulture Exhibition Area is the Life Experience Hall, which is also one of the main venues of the Expo. In accordance with the exhibition concept of "Love Gardening, Love Life", the Life Experience Hall comprehensively uses static display, dynamic display, vision, hearing, and interactive experience. In various ways, we can experience the application of gardening in clothing, food, housing, use, entertainment, health, etc. around plant diversity, coffee, tea, traditional handicrafts, etc., allowing tourists to experience gardening and make life better. The Life Experience Hall has an exhibition area of 9400 square meters and is composed of 7 building units, including four parts: the preface hall, the science popularization horticulture exhibition area, the life horticulture exhibition area, and the special horticulture exhibition area. In order to rush to go to the theater to watch the performance, the Life Experience Hall just went in and took a look and came out.

The highlight of the Expo at night is the performance at Guirui Theater. Guīruí Theater is the "heart" of the main venue of the "Four Pavilions and One Heart" of the Beijing World Expo-the Performing Arts Center. The building adopts the shape of "blooming flowers and butterfly dance", and the overall building is like a colorful butterfly dancing in the sea of flowers. Dance in the middle of the sea.
This is the main venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing World Expo, and is responsible for various large-scale theme performances and other large-scale gatherings during the session. During the Beijing World Expo, the Guirui Theater will stage the resident light and shadow show "The Heart of the World Garden" every Sunday to Thursday evening, and the resident show "Fairview World Garden" every Friday and Saturday evening, because the theater can only accommodate more than 1000 viewers need to make a real-name appointment on the expo 2019 mobile app in advance, and the appointment can only be submitted after entering the park.
Arriving at the entrance of the theater, there was a long line, and they showed the reservation code on their mobile phone, scanned the code and went back to the theater. Today is a non-weekend, and we will enjoy a dazzling light and shadow show called "The Heart of the World Garden" on the shores of Guilu Lake. The beautiful singing is accompanied by the softness of the water and intertwined with light and shadow, presenting a beautiful visual feast.
The entire performance includes two parts: a light and shadow show and a musical fountain, and the performance lasts about 40 minutes.

After watching the performance, I stepped out of the theater, and the lights of the Guirui Theater changed at night.
The last stop in the evening is the Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest, a high-tech attraction in the Expo that integrates AR, virtual vision, and human-computer interaction. With our country's traditional culture "Shanhai Jing" as the background, the Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest is divided into "Sun Illusion" and "Moon Illusion" two modes correspond to two different modes of day and night respectively. Visitors can download the "Sun Illusion" and "Moon Illusion" apps and participate in experiencing the mythological stories in "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" through their mobile phones. The opening hours of the Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest are 19:00-20:30 at night. It was almost 9 o'clock when we came out of the theater. The staff were clearing the area. We went in and took a quick walk, but we didn't experience the fantasy light and shadow tour.
The Expo will be cleared at 9 p.m. and closes at 9:30. It is already past 9:00 since we came out of Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest. It is the closest to Gate 5, but our car is parked in the P4 parking lot near Gate 1. The distance from Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest to Gate 1 is more than 5 kilometers, and it will take at least 40 minutes on foot. In despair, we tried to stop a sightseeing battery car on the roadside that was collecting cars. The driver said that the sightseeing car would stop operating after 9:00. But he promised to send us back to Gate 1 for free. I really met a kind person. Unfortunately, he forgot to leave the good driver's job number when he got off the bus. In the past two days in Yanqing, I deeply realized that Yanqing has simple folk customs and clean and tidy roads, which is much better than other suburban counties in Beijing.
Return to the hotel and rest for the night.
[Day2 June 19]
After breakfast the next day, check out and continue the trip to the Expo. Today's itinerary mainly includes Baiguoyuan, Baiguoyuan Garden, Botanical Museum, Shiyuan Town, Yongning Pavilion and other attractions. Today, I still parked my car in the P4 parking lot, but I changed my door to enter the park from Gate 6.
The theme of Gate 6 is the Gate of Plants and the Gate of Life
Today's first stop is Baiguoyuan. Baiguoyuan is located in the west of the Expo Park, close to Gate 6 of the Park. It forms a daily horticultural display area with the adjacent Botanical Museum, Baiguoyuan, Baicao Garden, and Gardening Town. The entire park is divided into three parts: A, B and C, distributed in a U-shape. The park brings together 12 tree species and 180 varieties of fruit trees in the northern region, covering almost all major deciduous fruit trees in the northern region.
The gate of Baiguoyuan is a welcome corridor called "Baiguomen". It is built of a high-strength bamboo-based fiber composite material called 'Bamboo Steel' and looks like a plate of fruit slices.
The Leguo Exhibition Gallery in Area A of Baiguoyuan is a science popularization exhibition hall for fruit trees and horticulture.
In Area B of Baiguoyuan, you can see planted apples, pears, crabapple, hawthorns and jujube trees with branches shaped like a long dragon. There is also a rare fruit tree in the north, seabuckthorn, in the park. It is now June, and various fruit trees have already borne fruit, and the trees will be fruitful in autumn.

The colorful sawdust path laid in the orchard is a road pavement transformed from garden waste.
To the southwest of Baiguoyuan is Baiguoyuan.
Walking through the main entrance landscape, you will see a pastoral courtyard area made of some edible vegetables such as kale, colorful broccoli, and yellow flowers.
Through the vegetable courtyard, you will find the Vegetable Museum, where visitors can learn about vegetables from three perspectives: "Road to Communication","Method of Utilization" and "Road to Innovation".

Such a small pumpkin seedling produces a big pumpkin

After coming out of Baibao Garden, the next stop is the Botanical Hall, which is also one of the core venues of the Expo and a must-visit place for tourists. The overall shape of the facade of the Botanical Museum is in the shape of a tree root, with 3156 pillars simulating the strong vitality of plant roots.
There is already a long line in front of the botanical museum. Most primary school students waited for more than half an hour for the primary school graduation tour arranged by the school to enter the museum. They should arrange to visit the botanical museum first when entering the park in the morning.
Entering the Botanical Museum, you first pass through a holographic projection hall
Across the holographic projection hall is the Tropical Plant Greenhouse Exhibition Area, which displays hundreds of different types of tropical plants, such as blood-sealing throats, man-eating flowers, Maitreya trees, bread-tree fairy plants, and tree boulders and other characteristic plant landscapes. The botanical museum adopts high-precision intelligent management of indoor light intensity, temperature and humidity to ensure the needs of different plants in different areas for temperature, humidity and light.
The Maitreya tree is the strangest-looking tree in the botanical museum. Its huge trunk is like the belly of Maitreya Buddha, hence the name "Maitreya tree". The reason why it has such a big belly image is that its thick trunk is filled with a lot of water, and even if it does not rain for a year, it will not be greatly affected. Therefore, plants with strong water storage capacity represented by the Maitreya tree are called "camels in the plant world". The baobab tree, which has the same abilities as the Maitreya tree, is also an old birthday boy. The growing environment of tropical and subtropical African countries with hot and dry climates makes the baobab tree extremely resistant to drought. It stores water in the trunk tissue, is about 20 meters high, and has a life span of about 5000 years. Whenever drought comes, it will quickly strip off all the leaves on its body to reduce water consumption.

The magical insect-trapping plant-Nepenthes
The giraffe "Molly and Her Family" on the rooftop viewing platform of the Botanical Garden is a must-check-in Internet celebrity attraction when visiting the World Expo. The giraffe is made of dead wood, the national tree of the Philippines, small flowers, and the dead wood used to make giraffes has been dead for 50 years. It is still immune to all insects and immortal over the years. Because the building materials and furniture made of this wood are strong and durable and are not afraid of corrosion by ants and insects, they were once cut down extensively and were almost extinct in the 1920s. Now this tree species is under rescue protection.
Look at Yongning Pavilion from afar on the viewing platform
Coming out of the Botanical Museum, and further ahead is the gardening town. This romantic town consists of two parts, one part is the antique Longqing Street, and the other part is the colorful sea of flowers and flower fields.
The planning and construction of the horticulture town makes full use of the original natural conditions. The two old locust trees with a history of more than 100 years on the streets of Longqing are original to the local Gu family, in order to preserve and show the original style of the local ancient village. The street of the entire gardening town is called Longqing Street. Yanqing was once called Longqing Street in history. Therefore, in order to reflect that the Expo was held in Yanqing and to inherit history, this street is called Longqing Street.
The horticultural town also considers the blending of north and south cultures in China. For example, this grey-white Hui style old house diagonally opposite Lao She Teahouse is a typical Jiangnan residential style in my country.
Gardening Town is also a place where catering is concentrated during the Expo, gathering many local specialties.
On the west side of Longqing Street, what comes into view is the flower fields, which are full of vitality and colorful.
Huatian District is divided into seven exhibition areas and multiple communities around the horticultural theme, including flower variety display area, rainbow flower sea area, rock garden, vegetable garden, etc. What is now displayed is a sea of tulips, two rainbow seas composed of pansy, sage, petunia, etc., and a sea of osmanthus and bamboo fragrant flowers.
On the east side of the Gardening Town is Yongning Pavilion. It is built on the top of Tiantian Mountain in the center of the park. It is a traditional building in Liaojin style and the commanding heights and landmark building of the entire park.
The Beijing World Expo adopted the method of digging lakes and piling mountains to build gardens to expand the original abandoned fish ponds and create a lake landscape. The lake is named Guili, and is about 100 acres. The earth generated by digging the lake was piled up nearby mountains to build Tiantian Mountain. Yongning Pavilion is located in the center of the high platform, with a height of about 27 meters and a building area of 2025 square meters. The roof has double eaves on the cross ridge of Xieshan, and the "Yongning Pavilion" plaque is placed between the upper and lower eaves on the south side. The pavilions are on all sides and the courtyards are on all sides, symbolizing the peace of the four seas and the peace of the country and the people.
It is surrounded by doors, corridors and corner pavilions. There are sitting sills all over the corridor columns of the door, pavilion, and visitors can rest here, overlooking the China Pavilion and Guirui Theater opposite them.
It was nearly noon when we arrived from Your Excellency Yongning. The sun gave us no motivation to continue shopping. We finally stopped going to the remaining Chinese Horticulture Exhibition Area. We followed the original road back to Gate 6 and drove back to Yanqing Street. I found a northeastern restaurant for lunch and headed home to end the two-day trip to the Beijing World Expo.
[Postscript]
This trip to the World Expo basically transferred all the main attractions in the park. Only the Chinese Horticulture Exhibition Area was the one that didn't go to. Although we visited the two attractions, Guangying Forest and Life Experience Hall, we didn't experience them in depth. Overall, in order from the perspective of viewing: China Pavilion Botanical Museum, World Horticultural Exhibition Area, Guirui Theater, Light and Shadow Forest International Pavilion, Hundred Vegetable Garden, Hundred Orchard, Hundred Orchard.
