Spring flowers cannot bloom until the golden season, summer wind cannot blow the red leaves on the mountains, and winter snow can only taste its branches. This is the inherent charm of autumn. And we always choose to go close to the mountains and rivers when the golden autumn comes, hoping that these picturesque natural beauty can bring a touch of self-tranquility and spiritual cleansing to the noisy life.
In a corner of northern Beijing, there is a thousand-year-old temple. The reputation of Hongluo Temple has been resounded in the northern land for thousands of years. It has a long history and is a beautiful place for beauty. Hongluo Temple, located on the southern foot of Hongluo Mountain 5 kilometers north of Huairou District, Beijing City, has a long history and a completely new decoration. Hongluo Temple was built in the fourth year of Xiankang in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 338) and has a history of nearly 1700 years. Originally known as "Daming Temple", it was renamed "Huguofuchan Temple" during the Ming Zhengtong Period. Later, it was commonly known as "Hongluo Temple" due to the wonderful legend of the Hongluo Fairy.
Every autumn, the autumn colors in the suburbs of Beijing always attract people's attention. When you come to Hongluo Temple, which is built according to the mountains, you can see its strict layout, magnificent momentum, rows of ancient buildings, and trees, flowers and plants. At this time, the autumn charm is elegant and the sky is as clear as washing. It is leaning against Hongluo Mountain and shining on Hongluo Lake in the south. It is full of beauty between the mountains and the water, and it is full of beauty among the lush forests and lush trees, forming a beautiful picture of "Ancient Temple Hidden in Blue Waves". It shows the beauty of ancient Chinese architecture.
As soon as I entered Hongluo Temple, I saw Chongpai High Square, surrounded by jade railings, colorful dragon heads, green pine trees brushing eaves, and exquisite chiseled with the inscription "Giant Temple in the North of Beijing." When you first visit the mountain gate, no matter whether it is rainy or snowy in the four seasons, you can enjoy one of the "Three Wonders of Red Coils", which has a history of more than 600 years. The breeze rises, green bamboos are surrounded by green, the rustling sound is intoxicating, and the posture is fluttering, making people love. This bamboo forest was originally planted by Zen master Yunshan in the Yuan Dynasty. When Emperor Kangxi came to Hongluo Temple to pay incense, he accidentally discovered it. He praised it for seeing its green bamboo and urged monks and local officials to protect it. From then on, people have called this bamboo forest the "Imperial Bamboo Forest".
Walking through the quiet path, everything suddenly became clear. The light breeze passed through the forest with the chirping of magpies. Mountain spring water flowed down from the valley and gathered in the small lake in front of you, with a pair of fairies standing gracefully in it. The two red snails are particularly eye-catching. The name "Hongluo Temple" comes from a beautiful legend. Legend has it that the two princesses of the Jade Emperor both felt that life in the celestial palace was too cold and silent, so they descended to the earth together. They came to a large mountain, where mountains and rivers were interdependent, ancient trees were towering, and an antique temple was hidden among the green. From time to time, the sound of wooden fish and the sound of chanting scriptures could be heard in the elegant and solemn temple. This place is not a fairyland, but it is better than a fairyland, deeply touching the two princesses. The idea of the two princesses living here for a long time arose. They transformed into a pair of big red snails and lived in the lake in front of the temple. During the day, they transformed into human beings and worshipped Buddha and recited scriptures with the monks in the temple; at night, the two princesses transformed into red snails and released thousands of red lights, illuminating the temple and the foothills red. They also used their divine power to secretly protect temples and local people. From then on, the weather here was smooth, the forests were lush and the grain was abundant, and the people were all grateful to Fairy Hongluo for her kindness. In the Yuan Dynasty, the Jade Emperor recalled them to the Heavenly Palace. In order to commemorate these two Hongluo fairies and pray that one day the fairies could return here, people called the mountain north of the temple Hongluo Mountain, the lake south of the temple Hongluo Lake, and the temple was also called "Hongluo Temple".
The architectural structure of Hongluo Temple is quite classic, and its architectural form is unique to the north. The Hongluo Temple surrounded by mountains and rivers is divided into five courtyards, including the Intermediate Court, the East Crossing Courtyard, the West Crossing Courtyard, the East Xiakan, and the West Pagoda Courtyard. There are 244 rooms. The Intermediate People's Court is centered on the Mountain Gate, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, and the Three Sacred Hall. It has four auxiliary halls in the east and west; the Thousand Hand Guanyin Hall, the Jixing Ancestral Hall, the Yinguang Ancestral Hall and the Sutra Chanting Room. The east courtyard is the reception area; the west courtyard is the abbot Juliao and Shifang Hall; the north of the east is the old monk Juliao and Yanchou Hall, the south is the practice ground; and the west is the snail pagoda.
Walking closer to Hongluo Temple, you can see the words "Protecting the Assets and Blessing Zen Temple" in front of the mountain gate. Two stone lions in front of the door are majestic and solemn. They enter the temple accompanied by the faint bells. Cigarettes are lingering and the evergreen pines and cypresses are floating in the wind. In front of the Daxiong Hall, two tall ancient ginkgo trees stand beside each other, like a couple holding a table and frowning together. Therefore, some people call them "husband and wife trees". This is the male and female ginkgo trees in the "Three Wonders of Red Conch". Over the past century, these two trees have experienced four seasons of change and the invasion of wind, frost, rain and snow. They are still tall and straight, with thick branches and leaves.
Among them, the slightly larger male tree is full of yellow flowers every spring, but does not see fruit in autumn; the slightly smaller female tree does not see flowers in spring and is full of fruits in autumn, which is really unique. Autumn is the most beautiful season for ginkgo. The Sanskrit sound surrounds the beams, the autumn wind is gentle, and the golden ginkgo leaves shine with dazzling brilliance in the sun. This is also the most attractive place for people to come and enjoy. When you arrive at the courtyard in front of the Three Sacred Temple, you can see the wisteria pine trees in the "Three Wonders of Red Conch". I saw the vines rolling, and the pine vines had merged into one. The vines were like giant pythons coiled up from low places and intertwined along the branches. It has a historical style.
Walking along Guanyin Road, this climbing trail restored on the site of the ancient Liao Dynasty is the most convenient road to Guanyin Temple on Hongluo Mountain. It is also a hiking trail integrating blessings, health preservation, fitness and sightseeing. On both sides of the "Guanyin Road", 33 vivid, peaceful and dignified white marble Guanyin statues are set up. You can also fully experience Buddhist culture while climbing and viewing the scenery.
Guanyin Temple, located in the oak forest at an altitude of 360 meters on the front slope of Hongluo Temple, was built in the Jin Dynasty. The abbot of Hongluo Temple generation, Zen Master Yunshan of the Yuan Dynasty, once lived in seclusion and cultivated here. The original Guanyin Temple was destroyed in its early years. In 1997, Guanyin Temple was rebuilt on the original site. Completed. Guanyin Temple faces south and has three halls: Shanmen Hall, Guanyin Hall and Huicheng Hall. It is divided into upper and lower houses, connected by 108 steps in the middle.
Although Hongluo Temple is a good place to climb on foot, it cannot avoid some tourists who have limited mobility or do not want to climb mountains. It is just like going to Guanyin Temple and choosing to take a slide up and down the mountain. The whole journey is 2.3 kilometers, and the upward route is 800 meters. It is towed by cables and escorted by staff down. You can not only enjoy a leisurely journey, but also experience the "thrilling" slide "downhill.
It doesn't matter whether you climb or dive down. Every grass and tree in Hongluo Mountain seems to contain rich philosophy of life. Rather than saying that we are here to escape the summer and enjoy the autumn, it is better to say that we are here to borrow the scenery to express our feelings and gain an insight into life. People often say that if you want to purify your soul, you must go to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It may not be true when I see it. I feel a lot in this Hongluo landscape.
In the slightly bleak golden autumn, I felt as if I had melted into Hongluo Mountain and became one with it, allowing the coolness of this fairy named Natural to brush away the heat that had accumulated throughout the summer time and time again, clearing Jiao Man. state of mind. Let the sound of the clear stream pass through your ears, wash away those prosperous and noisy that have been settled for a long time and have refused to peel off. Looking up at the thousands of miles of blue dotted with floating catkins, what moves with the wind is the imagination of the whole autumn in my mind. Walking forward, the corridor on the ridge is faintly compared with the mountains and the sky, which shows how subtle the person is.
Looking far into the distance, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Huairou. Hongluo Lake, Yanxi Lake and Huairou Reservoir are dotted between golden forest fields and red leaves all over the mountains. Modern buildings and the International Trade CBD complement each other between heaven and earth. The sky is blue and the leaves are ruddy. Stroll among Hongluo Mountains, listen to the faint bells, watch cigarettes rise, watch the red leaves and forests on the mountains, and enjoy the infinite beauty of the golden autumn.
Hongluo Mountain has its majestic style and simple character. Hongluo Mountain is full of pride and beauty. Hongluo Mountain is winding, flat, colorful, beautiful, gentle and whistling. Looking across the mountain scenery, you can take ten steps forward, and you can take a hundred steps forward, and you can see thousands of rivers and mountains. This is a mountain that is born in a unique corner above Beijing and North.
