In September, I suddenly received a text message from China Southern Airlines saying that my mileage of about 30,000 would expire on December 31. So he suddenly planned to take his wife and son to the national sleeper on New Year's Day. After some deliberation, he finally decided to go to Beijing for a few days. First of all, our family has been to the capitals of other countries several times, but it would be too unreasonable not to have been to the capital of our own motherland. Secondly, my lover is a fan of the Qing Palace and has always had the plot of the Forbidden City, but I have never been to Beijing at such a large age. Finally, the son of a small airplane fan has loved the A380 since he was a child. The only domestic airline operating the A380 is China Southern Airlines, which flies the Guangzhou-Beijing route. Three things were achieved with one fell swoop, so I spent 90,000 miles +300 planes that night to buy a round-trip ticket to Beijing on New Year's Day.
PS: One week before departure, I suddenly received a notice from China Southern Airlines that the aircraft model was changed to an A350. Anyway, it is the latest one. Who knew that three days before the departure, it was changed to a Boeing 777. It took a lot of saliva to coax his son. At the same time, he could only pray that the A380 on the return trip would not be temporarily replaced again.
Accommodation: Yujing Nanluo Hotel
Comments: I mainly want to find a hotel that is close to all the attractions around Beijing. The location of the hotel is very good and it is convenient to stroll around Nanluogu Lane Hutong. Walking directly to Houhai, the Drum Tower is not far away. There is an Internet celebrity Zajangnoodles next to it, and the staff are also very enthusiastic! I didn't take the bus before going out and planned to try it, but they gave me change. In short, it was a very comfortable stay and I recommend it.
Day 1 is on the road
Since we had an early flight at eight o'clock in the morning, we left for the airport at around five o'clock in the morning. Most airport VIP lounges opened at seven o'clock, so we had to stroll around the terminal.
Arriving at the Beijing Airport, the pick-up man felt a biting cold wind when he went out to the parking lot outside. Children's shoes from the south couldn't afford to hurt them.
PS: The Imperial Capital is really big to death. Looking at the distance of the map, I think Houhai is very close to the hotel. This ratio is only one or two kilometers on the Guangzhou map at most. Oh, my God, I'll play a full seven kilometers. As expected of being the center of the universe
Houhai has frozen over, which is a very special experience for children from the south, where it is hot to death all year round.
I didn't go in, I just borrowed the bathroom at the door to use it.
The eldest brothers and sisters who are swimming in winter are shivering when they look at them
Sister, you are so strong
The one I passed by on the way from Houhai to Nanluogu Lane may be an Internet celebrity store. My principle when traveling abroad is to never waste time queuing in an Internet celebrity store.
My first impression of Nanluogu Lane is that it is just like Jinli and Kuanzhai Alley.
Fried spiders, scorpions, and centipedes are eye-opening for Cantonese people who are ridiculed for eating everything. It turns out that the people standing at the top of the food chain are Beijing talents.
The ice sugar gourd in the capital is really delicious. My son can't stop eating it. It is completely different from the Li Gui he ate in Guangzhou.
After wandering around Nanluogu Lane for a while, we took the subway back to the hotel. We got off at Xuanwumen Station and walked a few hundred meters, which was more convenient than taking a taxi.
Day 2 One-day trip to the Forbidden City
I visited the Forbidden City, which my lover misses, almost thirty years ago, but actually I didn't feel much. It is only two subway stops away from the hotel, but you have to change lines once.
Since it is off-season and there are not many people, there is basically no need to queue.
Back in the 1990s, when I came here, you could still enter the main hall, but you couldn't get close to the dragon chair.
Collections in the clock shop.
Qing Dynasty opera fans love the harem that others are longing for. In fact, few palaces are open to visit. They can only look at the buildings and experience them.
This is the Yanxi Palace, which was popular some time ago, and it is now a pile of ruins.
After coming out of Shenwu Gate, we crossed Jingshan opposite us and went up to see the whole picture of the Forbidden City. Half the way up was climbing with my son in my arms. It was really exhausting for my parents.
It's still very majestic from this angle. I originally wanted to see the Forbidden City in the snow, but the weather was not good. After we left, the first snow in 2020 fell that night.
Since there was no place to park after coming out of Jingshan Park and couldn't play Didi, we took bus No. 109 back to the hotel. In the evening, we attended a dinner hosted by friends in Beijing and cooked roast duck.
Day 3 Mutianyu Great Wall
Speaking of the Great Wall, Badaling is generally the more famous one, and Mutianyu is rarely known to people. Therefore, I felt that I would give up Badaling, go to Mutianyu, and book a one-day charter bus on Feizhu for 550 yuan to save trouble. I left the hotel at 9 o'clock, and there was not much traffic on the way. It took about two hours to arrive. I still saw a little snow on the road along the way.
We bought tickets for the Shibid Cableway. We took the cableway up the mountain and slid down the mountain. It was about 160 per person.
A little bit of a ski resort rush.
The scenery on the slide is quite beautiful.
After going up, it was Building 6, and we decided to take a slow walk in the direction of No. 14.
It feels good to have no one.
After strolling all the way for more than two hours, we returned to Building 6 and went down the mountain on the slide, in order to avoid the peak traffic jams in the capital at night.
We asked the driver to take us to Guijie for a meal of mutton and returned to the hotel satisfied.
Day 4 Summer Palace + Temple of Heaven Park
Again, the Imperial Capital is too big, and I didn't want to waste too much time on public transportation transfers, so I simply took a taxi from the hotel and went straight to the west gate of the Summer Palace. It took about 40 minutes, sixty to seventy yuan, which was not expensive.
The lake has frozen, and the purpose of coming here is to play the legendary ice cart. Facts have proved that this thing really tests upper limb strength, especially the tandem ice cart, which is too difficult to skate.
The single-person ice cart is quite easy to play and is quite fast. It is a good experience for children in the south.
After coming out of the Summer Palace, we took a taxi and headed straight to Temple of Heaven Park, arriving before ticket sales stopped at 4 o'clock. Why are you here? Because after reading a picture book from the Imperial Capital, my son kept talking about the echo wall all day long and wanted to come and read it no matter what he said, today is our last day in the Imperial Capital, so I'll satisfy him.
The Hall of Praying for New Year is quite majestic.
It was already dinner time after we got out of the Temple of Heaven, so we decided to take a taxi to Qianmen Dazhalan to eat the Four Seasons Minfu Roast Duck. To be honest, I personally thought this place was more interesting than Nanluogu Lane.
Here's a point of view. The small train is 50 yuan one way
Day 5 Return
Thank God for the blessings of our ancestors. The return flight was not changed. It was still A380. My son returned happily.
