I heard that the autumn scenery in Beijing Beigong National Forest Park is good, so on the morning of November 6, 2020, the reporter took a bus to this garden in Fengtai District, southwest of Beijing, where primary school students had a reunion on April 12, 2011. In the blink of an eye, nine years have passed by in a flash. The first time I came here was to go to the spring, and now it is the autumn season. Time really flies...

No matter how hard you walk into the park, you can't find back the memories of coming here nine years ago, so let nature take its course and walk. I saw the bright sunshine shining on every inch of land in Beigong National Forest Park. It's very pleasant to wander through the red and yellow garden scenery full of autumn.

Following the clear water bank in the right direction, you will soon find Yaowang Immortal Residence deep into the garden. The path here begins to slowly climb uphill, and gradually people will start climbing along the path. After passing through a wooden bridge, I came to the Valley of Medicine King and looked into a statue. When I came closer, I saw that it was the statue of Mr. Sun Simiao, the Medicine King. I remember I didn't find this landscape the last time I came here.

There are layers of rocks in front of the stone statue, and the streams in Medicine King Valley are now relatively rare and close to dry up. Down the slope from the right side of the statue of Sun Simiao is a narrow road. Looking north, I found one or two fiery red torch trees on the right side of the road and an ebony roofed pavilion behind the left side. The colors and scenery are very similar to autumn days in Kyoto.

It is said that this forest park in front of us was once just an abandoned mine. It is located in the Daash Factory, a place where white ash is produced. Since the Ming Dynasty, most of the white ash in the capital came from here. Mountain people have been mining rocks for hundreds of years, and smoke and dust fill the air. Mountains were once exposed, rivers were exhausted, and vegetation was destroyed.

Back then, wherever you could see here, there was garbage everywhere and wasteland. The natural environment has seriously deteriorated and has even become one of the sources of environmental pollution in Beijing. Later, in order to restore the nature and beauty of the mountains and rivers, we began to green the environment, carried out planning and design, and built the present Beigong National Forest Park.

Looking at the scenic spot in the garden, the guide map shows that there is the tomb of Prince Rongke here, which is a treasure of feng shui. It turns out that this place also has a history. The name of the Prince of Rongke was Mianyi, the son of Yongqi, the fifth prince of Qianlong. "Ke" is his posthumous title. Yongqi was intelligent since he was a child, both civil and military, and was deeply loved by Emperor Qianlong at that time. However, unfortunately, he died young and his son Mianyi was only two years old when he died. Mian Yi inherited his father's talent. In November of the forty-ninth year of Qianlong, Mian Yi, the grandson of the emperor, was granted Doruo Baylor by Qianlong. In the first month of the fourth year of Jiaqing, Jiaqing issued an edict to grant him the title of Prince Dororong.

According to the memories of Mianyi's descendants, in the ninth year of Jiaqing (1804), Prince Rongke ordered people to visit the cemetery. Mr. Feng Shui said: "This place is auspicious!" At that time, this land was owned by Zhang Pengling, Xining Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, in the Qing Dynasty. It covered an area of ten acres and was called Cherry Orchard. Therefore, in Mianyiyong Prefecture, the land of 44 acres and 20 houses located in Xiaodongge, Tong County, was exchanged with Zhang Pengling here.

Construction of the park began that year. By the time the Prince died in the twentieth year of Jiaqing (1815), the project had been going on for more than ten years and had not yet been completed. During the construction project, a large construction site has been formed in the cherry orchard. There was also a construction site in the south at that time. Locals call Nangong's status "Nangongshang" and call the Cherry Orchard construction site "Beiongshang." Later, it was shortened from "Beigong Shang" to "Beigong", and later it was written as "Beigong".

Beigong National Forest Park is located around the highest peak in Fengtai District, Jiexian Peak. It is the junction of the North China Plain and the Taihang Mountains. It has the characteristics of the topography and topography of the Taihang Mountains. Because of its good ecological environment and perfect feng shui structure, this place has attracted many historical celebrities to visit, and has left many beautiful legends and monuments behind. It is a rare feng shui treasure place.

The mountains within Beigong Forest Park are majestic and magnificent. The uplift and depression of the earth's crust have caused huge interruptions, forming a distribution of majestic mountains and deep canyons intertwined. After years of wind and rain erosion, it has formed high mountains and deep valleys, with large ups and downs. Space, grand rhythm of the majestic landscape. In addition, the cliffs and ladders are stacked within the park, and the cliffs are lined up and majestic.

Forest Park's Bliss Peak Scenic Area has the longest history. Among them, Bliss Peak is the highest peak in the park, with an altitude of 550 meters. Climb to the top of Bliss Peak, you can overlook the mountains and experience the poetry of "you will be at the top of the mountain and see the small mountains"; From afar, you can see the North China Plain unfolding at your feet, and the construction of the capital is rapidly changing.

In addition to Bliss Peak, Beigong Park mainly consists of many scenic spots such as the main peak of Langpoding, the Rising Sun in Dongling, Xinglong Valley, Xiaojiang South, Taigong Pond, and Ancient Stone Bridge. Xiaojiang South is located not far from the entrance to the south gate of the park. The lake area here is 16308 square meters. There are small bridges, piers, and revetment paths along the lake, and trees are shaded. Visitors can fish and rest here. It seems to have traveled through time and space, bringing people to the beautiful Jiangnan water town.

The main peak at the top of the slope corridor is 348 meters above sea level, and the sunny slope of the main peak is Zijing Mountain. The current situation is a well-growing Vitex, 2 to 3 meters high. Due to the steep mountains, Vitex can play a good role in soil and water conservation. Every spring, when the thorns are in full bloom, it is a good place for sightseeing and enjoying the scenery. At the same time, bauhinia is also a good honey source plant and has become a special product of the park. On the south side of the ridge, there is a Xixia Pavilion built. Here, you can see the "colorful clouds" on Zijing Mountain, and you can see the fruitful autumn garden and the green mountains on the top of the corridor slope. It is a rare and beautiful place to see.

The Xinglong Valley Valley is more than 600 meters long, 2 to 5 meters wide, and 1.5 to 4 meters deep. The small stream in the valley flows gurgling, like a swimming dragon, winding down for hundreds of meters. Visitors can only walk by the stream and experience the "The stream is twisted by the mountains, and the mountains and groves are low and flat everywhere." This wonderful realm of blending mountains and rivers.

Taigong Pool is located near the west gate of Yingshan Scenic Area, covering an area of more than 3000 square meters. It is surrounded by weeping willows by the pool, swaying willow branches, rippling blue waves in the pool, fish roaming in the pool, and birds singing and fragrant flowers on the shore. Visitors here seem to be in a natural picture.

The Dongling Rising Sun Scene is on the easternmost side of Yingshan Scenic Area, with an altitude of 128 meters. There is a Dongling Rising Sun Pavilion on the summit. This pavilion is an antique six-corner pavilion with wooden structure. At the foot of the mountain is the sparkling Yongding River. Standing here, you can enjoy the magnificent landscape of the rising sun, and you can also overlook the CCTV Tower, as well as different scenery such as Shijingshan and Mentougou.

According to historical data,"There was Jiexie Peak first, and then Jietai Temple." Since the Grotto Temple was built in the Ming Dynasty, Jiexie Peak became a place for the eminent monks of Jietai Temple to retreat. Now there are a large number of Buddhist caves and Buddhist cultural buildings that are rare in Beijing, such as Guguo Pagoda, Ancient Huayang Cave, Chaoyang Sanhui Cave and a large number of steles, plaques, and stone carvings.

I remember when we came to the last class reunion, Teacher Zhou told us that if we climb the mountain from Beigong Forest Park and take the mountain road, we can reach Jietai Temple behind the mountain in about two hours. Unfortunately, no one dared to follow Teacher Zhou on this mountain journey to Jietai Temple at that time. Now I am here again for an autumn tour of the North Palace to recall the past, and it is also interesting to enjoy the autumn scenery in the garden.
Leisure tourists (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
In Beigong National Forest Park, leisure people are also enjoying walking, chatting, and viewing the scenery in the park. It is endless fun. The natural scenery here is beautiful, the cultural attractions are unique, the garden art is superb, and the air quality is pleasant. The National People's Congress Forest, Friendship Forest, and Chinese and Foreign Forests are all in various shapes and in full bloom; scenic forests, special forests, and economic forests are everywhere, with rolling green waves and fruitful results.
