Changsha's public transportation network is relatively developed, with public transportation running from most tourist attractions in the city and nearby Xingsha (Changsha County) and Wangcheng.

There are three main bus hubs in Changsha, namely the Railway Station, Dongtang and Qiwan Town in Hexi. From these three places, you can basically travel to various places in the urban area. The vast majority of Changsha buses are sold by no one. Ordinary buses are 1 yuan and air-conditioned buses are 2 yuan. Most of them are automatic coins and you need to bring your own change.

It is worth mentioning that there is also a famous "Lishan Special Line" in Changsha. This bus line was funded and built by Hong Kong people whose ancestral home is Changsha. It starts at Changsha Railway Station and ends at Central South University, passing through Yuelu Mountain and other attractions. The Tongguan Kiln Site is located in the area from Tongguan Town to Shizhu Lake in Wangcheng District, Changsha City.
