Travel background

My cousin, who graduated from high school this year, finally survived the end of the exam, the college entrance examination results, and the university notice. She said that her father funded her and her classmates to go out to play, and asked me to take them to play in Changsha for two days when I had time. It just happened that the summer vacation could avoid the peak holiday travel.

Day 1: Yuelu Mountain--Aiwan Pavilion--Yuelu Academy--Juzizhou

Day 2: Taiping Street-Hunan Province Museum

1. reservation

It is best to stay near Wuyi Square, because Wuyi Square can be regarded as the food center and transportation center of Star City. Whether it is Taiping Old Street, Pozi Street, Miao Street or Huangxing Pedestrian Street, it is within walking distance. Metro Line 2 runs through the railway station to Meixi Lake, passes through Wuyi Square, and has direct bus lines to Yuelu Mountain, Juzizhou, Provincial Museum and other places. For hotels, because we brought children with us, we finally chose Home Inn Express Hotel in Wuyi Square, Daxin, Changsha. The price we booked was about 160-180 a night. If we split the price for two people, it would not be very expensive. The environment is relatively good, the facilities are complete, the bedroom is clean, and the bathroom is very clean. I am also very satisfied with it. It is very clean.

2. Yuelu Mountain: Changsha check-in must-have index: 5 stars

After loading our luggage at the hotel, we headed straight for Yuelu Mountain. Because we live near Taiping Street and can visit here in the afternoon or at night, we chose the first stop to Yuelu Mountain, Yuelu Academy and Juzizhou. There is a cableway at the east gate of Yuelu Mountain. The price is 30 yuan per person, and the student ticket is half price. I use my student ID card, and they bring an admission notice. The little girls were quite lazy, so we finally decided to sit on the rope. You can sit directly to the top of the mountain by the cableway, which takes about twenty minutes. The scenery is very good along the way. You can see IFS, the financial center of Changsha, the Xiangjiang River heading north, and the statue of Chairman Mao standing at the head of Juzizhou. The happiness of riding a cableway is that it saves the effort of climbing mountains. You can also choose to take a sightseeing bus, which is also very cheap.

The scenery on the top of the mountain is really beautiful. Walking along the main road, you will find some viewing areas, as well as promenades specially for tourists to visit. Go straight ahead, there are some attractions marked on the map along the way and you can choose to visit, because some visiting attractions are not very interesting.

Walking down the mountain road, in addition to the scenery along the way, you will soon reach the foot of the mountain. What comes into view is the famous Yuelu Academy and Aiwan Pavilion.

The place with the most people is Aiwan Pavilion. It is difficult to take a complete picture of the pavilion in the crowd, so I can only barely take a photo of the top.

When we entered Yuelu Academy, we entered from the nearby Aiwan Pavilion, and then went out from the side near Hunan University. We entered through a long corridor with a bamboo forest next to it. This should be the back door of the Academy. There are statues of Confucius in the Confucian Temple of the Academy, plaques of thousands of generations, plaques of "Hunan University" inscribed by Chairman Mao himself in the archives, and portraits and profiles of alumni of Hunan University and celebrities in Hunan Province from ancient times to the present. The cultural atmosphere is really strong. Although the entire building exudes a simple atmosphere, for these children who have just stepped out of high school, it seems that it is not as interesting to come into contact with this kind of academy that reveals its cultural heritage as looking across the river at the head of Juzizhou...

3. Juzizhoutou: Changsha check-in must-have index: 4 stars

It was actually late after coming out of Yuelu Academy, but he and his children were still arguing to see the statue of Grandpa Mao. They had no choice but to take them to Juzizhou. Fortunately, there were not many people in Juzizhou at night. Sightseeing in Juzizhou is generally based on small trains and ferries. However, the ferry fare is too expensive and is not suitable for student parties. We bought a 20 yuan ticket for a small train sightseeing ticket for five stations at any time, and happily lined up. In fact, this sightseeing bus is super interesting, with a cute design, reasonable route and cheap price. Although I had already sat, I chose to sit again.

Arriving at the statue of Chairman Mao, we got off the bus to take some photos and walked along the river for a while. We missed the fireworks festival and there were no oranges to eat. In fact, there was nothing particularly fun here, so it didn't take long for us to get on the small train again. After getting off at the terminal station, we decided to walk back, so half an hour later we walked to Taiping Old Street.

3. Taiping Old Street: Changsha Check-in Index: 4 stars

To be honest, as an "old dog" who has been studying here for three years, I am really tired of coming to Taiping Street, but this is their first time here. If I don't bring them here, I really don't know where else to go. Everyone was already very hungry when they walked over, so they rushed straight to the snacks without hesitation. They originally wanted them to eat stinky tofu first, but in the end, a few children insisted on eating big sausage first... Well, it's still Wen Heyou, whom I am familiar with. Whether it's big sausage, stinky tofu or crayfish, I will choose Wen Heyou's house without hesitation every time. Maybe it's because the first thing I ate was their house, so no matter which place I ate later, I will always feel that something is missing. Fortunately, all of them also feel that the taste is not bad. And I heard that Wen Heyou also opened a stinky tofu museum, which felt quite interesting.

There are as many people in the store as ever... We decided to visit the museum first. It's quite big. To open such a large museum in such a prime location in Taiping Old Street, it seems that Wen Heyou is indeed rich. Hahaha.

At the entrance is a huge doll representing the image of stinky tofu. It is also made quite cute. Many people take photos here. The anthropomorphism of this product is quite interesting. It is a bit like the Brown Bear in Taikoi, Chengdu. It should be regarded as a kind of corporate culture. There are many little dolls on the wall inside.

Further inside, there is an AI wall where you can make your own action-generated comics, or content related to stinky tofu. There is also an experimental machine wall where you can experience the making process of stinky tofu, which is also quite interesting. You can also buy all kinds of interesting stinky tofu around here, such as dolls and keychain cultural shirts, as well as some other Changsha specialties such as vacuum-packed stinky tofu and pickled duck. emmmmm... There are even pink bottles selling the smell of stinky tofu... Will anyone really buy it?

After shopping around, we chose to buy freshly fried stinky tofu here. Not only did it look cleaner and sanitary, but there were not as many people lining up outside, and the taste was still the same.

Before I came here, I gave her Changsha stinky tofu and big sausages countless times, and vividly introduced how different the stinky tofu here is from mine. After waiting for about ten minutes, we finally got our stinky tofu and big sausage. My favorite thing is the meat sauce in stinky tofu. When I bite it down, in addition to the unique soup of stinky tofu, the delicious, salty and spicy meat sauce will flow into my mouth along with the tofu pieces. For people who like strong flavors, it's simply too cool. Big sausage is also the kind that is mainly meat-based, has a large amount of weight, and can be filled.

After eating and strolling on Taiping Street for more than an hour, we finally returned to the hotel. After washing and going to bed, several young girls began to repair the drawings. They stayed until after one o'clock before going to bed, and got up after ten o'clock the next morning. The original plan to go to the museum and to eat crayfish in Hisense Square was obliterated until the only thing left was to go to the museum.

First, we took them to a nearby specialty store to buy some things and send them back. Then we planned to have lunch and then took the bus to the Provincial Museum. We ate a lot of snacks at the Huo Palace for lunch and ordered stinky tofu again... I ordered a serving of crayfish. How to put it, it didn't have the taste I was familiar with, but it was also delicious. Eat faster here, so if you don't take good photos, you won't put pictures.

4. Internet celebrity MA CHA: Changsha check-in must-have index: 3 stars

After eating, we also bought a few cups of milk tea and planned to take it with us on the road. There is an online celebrity mother tea near the Stinky Tofu Museum on Taiping Street. It is said to be one of the Internet celebrity milk tea in Changsha. However, what attracted us was the decoration of their home. The style and relatively cold gray ruins elements are very suitable for taking photos.

We ordered four cups of the more popular "Red Sleeves Adding Fragrance" and "Green Cloud Matcha", but the taste here is slightly sweet. I suggest that those who don't like sweetness choose half sugar or sugar-free. Red Sleeves Tianxiang has a faint scent of dried roses, coupled with the rich flavor of milk tea, which makes it taste good. I didn't drink Qingyun Matcha. It looks very beautiful and has a little refreshing feeling. This milk tea shop has good service and does not need to queue for a long time. The taste is sweet and the price is slightly expensive and is acceptable. The interior decoration style of the store is worth checking in. The milk tea packaging is relatively exquisite, giving people a feeling of high quality.

5. Hunan Province Museum: Changsha Check-in Index: 5 stars

I would like to give you some suggestions for visiting the Provincial Museum. Except for being closed every Monday on weekdays, you can enter with your ID card at other times. However, when encountering holidays with a lot of traffic, you must make an appointment online in advance! Otherwise, you may end up in line until the end of time. There are many ways to make reservations, and WeChat paying attention to the public account of the Hunan Province Museum is a simple way.

The last time I came here, I went straight to the third floor to see the Mawangdui Han Tomb because there were so many people, but missed other exhibits. This time, there were not many people, so we started slowly looking at it from the second floor. The exhibition hall on the second floor is a display of Sanxiang history and culture in Hunan. The numerous sand tables, animal and plant specimens and historical relics displays show the strong root-seeking culture of the hard-working and brave Hunan people. Looking at those well-preserved antiquities, I have a magical feeling, as if I have really seen the changes of Hunan Province over the past thousands of years. In addition to some folk handicrafts, you can even see rice and wheat and other crops, which is very interesting.

The exhibition hall of the Han Tomb in Mawangdui is a major exhibit at the Hunan Province Museum. There are countless funeral objects of Madam Xin Zhui, as well as those of her husband and son, which we spent more than two hours before we could barely finish them. Especially the plain gauze Zen clothes as thin as cicada wings and the exquisite T-shaped silk paintings, it is amazing that the wisdom of the ancients is infinite. The projection and animation combined with 3D technology completely attracted the attention of several little girls. Standing there, I watched it for half an hour before I was willing to leave. Poor me already watched it once, so I could only sit in the lounge area and eat snacks and play with my mobile phone in boredom.

I came out of the museum at around four o'clock in the afternoon and sent some children to the high-speed rail station to catch the high-speed rail at around six o'clock. After watching them enter the station and wave goodbye to me, I returned to school alone. I have been with them for the past two days. Although I always feel that young people are too energetic, I still feel that it is interesting to have a few people around when I send them away. After all, it is more fun to be with lively people when I come out to play.
