Two days and one night
two-way
800 per capita
Fenghuang-Changsha
This time I went to Changsha for a short stay for one day. After playing in Phoenix for 4 days, I went to Changsha and took a flight back to Guangzhou. In late August, the outdoor temperature in Changsha is still high, and the time to stay is limited, so I didn't have a lot of fun with my boyfriend. October is the best time for travel.
Two people for two days and one night, plus transportation expenses, accommodation, food, drink and entertainment, the average per person is only about 800 yuan. I think it is already very good. Moreover, Changsha has too many delicious and fun things, so you will not be disappointed when you come to Changsha to eat food!
01. traffic
The bus from Fenghuang to Changsha costs 140 per person. It takes the bus from Fenghuang Bus Terminal about every half hour. Our bus left at 12 o'clock that day and arrived at Changsha West Bus Station at about 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
You can take the subway directly after arriving at Changsha West Bus Station. There are three lines in Changsha Metro. Most scenic spots and popular business districts are near the subway entrance, so taking the subway is a good choice for traveling.
Tips: There are only one or two entrances where you can use the Changsha Metro APP, so you often need to queue up, and the APP often collapses. Therefore, I suggest that you prepare some change for a rainy day.
02. accommodation
Please make sure you choose near Wuyi Square for accommodation, because it is the place with the most delicious food and business districts, and the transportation is also very convenient and extends in all directions.
I used the Ctrip app to visit [Asakusa House·Breeze Station] before. I heard that it was the first light Japanese-style B & B in Changsha. The price was moderate at around 200, so I booked their Japanese-style tatami river view room with my boyfriend. The whole Mingshu feels like a breeze. The warm yellow lights look clean and warm. The address is opposite Hisense Square. The transportation is also very convenient. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to Pozi Street. You can also see the night view of Juzizhou from the room. It's awesome!
03. eat and drink
My boyfriend is from Sichuan, so he is very accustomed to Hunan cuisine in Changsha, but it is indeed a bit spicy for Guangzhou people. After eating the first meal, I only dare to ask for slightly spicy food, but in my opinion, the slightly spicy food of Changsha people is already medium spicy, so that it took me more than a week to go back to Guangzhou to defeat the fire.
Wenheyou Lao Changsha Lobster Restaurant
Address: Hisense Plaza, No. 36 Xiangjiang Middle Road
Per capita: 150
The reason why I chose this place for the first meal was that it was really close to where we lived, and I had previously seen on the hot search list that his house lined up for tens of thousands of tables. The day we went was a working day, so there were not many people and we waited for about an hour.
The decoration style of Wenheyou Lobster Restaurant is definitely unique! The outside is transparent glass, which looks very modern, but it is really amazing after entering. It perfectly reproduces the feeling of old Changsha in the 1980s and is very suitable for taking photos. Because I couldn't eat spicy food, I ordered [Super Steamed Shrimp]. Each shrimp is huge, the shrimp meat is firm and elastic, and there are also many shrimp yellows. The price is 288 per serving, so it is worth a try! In addition, his family's lard rice bibimbap was also very childish, and his boyfriend ate four bowls! It is recommended that everyone list their numbers on the public account in advance!
tea color
Address: Everywhere
Per capita: 15
I had only heard that Chayan Yuese was a local tea and beverage store in Changsha before. This time, I really learned something. You can see one within a few hundred meters, and the store density is comparable to that of a convenience store! My boyfriend and I don't usually like to drink milk tea, so we only ordered a cup of fresh milk for two days.
The [Youlan Latte] I ordered, and the [Sound of Wulong] my boyfriend ordered are their two star products. The creamy top of Youlan Latte is not bad. The animal cream that should be used, combined with the fragrance of tea, is a very natural and delicious taste. It doesn't have a very amazing feeling. It feels a little tired without a small spoon. Personally, I prefer the Oolong tea ordered by my boyfriend. The Oolong tea is base, with peaches and milk. It is very refreshing!
Xiaji Rice Noodles Store
Address: No. 6 Guanyin Lane
Per capita: 15
For breakfast the next day, I chose to eat noodles like in old Changsha. Xiaji Noodle Store was not big, so I could only share tables with others during the morning peak. I ordered their family's signature-meatball powder. The meatball powder is really super delicious. The meatballs are big, the meat is very delicate, and there is no firewood at all. The taste of the powder is also very good. The sound of flowing powder is highly recommended for everyone to eat it!
Wenheyou Stinky Tofu Museum
Address: No. 21 Taiping Street
Per capita: 30
Although every city has stinky tofu, the best one is definitely Changsha stinky tofu! Before coming to Changsha, I saw Wenheyou Stinky Tofu on the guide. When I was shopping on Taiping Street, I actually saw the Stinky Tofu Museum opened by Wenheyou. While inheriting the essence of old Changsha Stinky Tofu, I also played to a new level. It's really amazing!
I have seen various museums before. This should be the first museum in the country with the theme of stinky tofu! The museum with the theme of local snacks is really suitable for tourists to check in. It is divided into three areas, the science and technology area, the souvenir area, and the cooked food area. The science and technology area introduces the entire production process of stinky tofu in detail, from the soybeans used for production to the brine fermentation, as well as the post-frying process, every setting makes people feel very involved, especially the brine fermentation, which really tastes to the top (Don't ask me how I know.) Stinky Tofu Comics Production is a series that you have to play even in long queues, allowing you to truly be the protagonist of the comics.
There are many surrounding areas and accompanying gifts that you can buy in the souvenir area. The packaging is unique, the price is cheap, and there are many choices. I bought the one for 200 yuan and checked out directly at the front desk and mailed it back to Greater Guangzhou. The image around his home seems to be called stinky boy, black little stinky tofu image, pasted on the entire wall, making it quite interesting to buy and give it to others! But my favorite food area is the deli area. You can buy stinky tofu and soy milk. The stinky tofu is 10 yuan/serving. It is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is just right with chopped peppers and salty. It is just right if you soak them in the soup and take a bite. It's too delicious! There is also soy milk. I have to praise it. This healthy drink really has no burden to drink at all. The peach-flavored drink is super delicious. You can drink large fruit grains, but it will not be too sweet. Sisters must try it!
Jinji Tangyoutuotuo
Address: No. 55 Xueyuan Road
Per capita: 4 yuan
This place should be a must-check snack when coming to Changsha. When I went to eat, I happened to meet an aunt who had to pack 100 yuan. She used the boxes she brought to pack several large boxes. Because we ate too much at the Wenheyou Stinky Tofu Museum, my boyfriend and I bought a string of sugar and oil to try at 4 yuan/string, with 7 pieces per string. The glutinous rice balls roll and spin in the sugar oil pan. When they are fished out, they turn into golden little fat people. The freshly fried sugar oil cake is not very crispy on the outside, so it must be cooled a little before eating it, so you can eat it. Crispy outside and glutinous inside!
MAMACHA
Address: No. 58 Denggao Road, Yuelu District (Hi Yuelu Nei)
Per capita: 20
It's another local milk tea shop in Changsha. It seems to have shops in many popular business districts, but we went to this one on the top of Yuelu Mountain. When we were tired from climbing the mountain, we just needed this place where we could blow on the air conditioner and drink tea! The design of his store is very beautiful. The space of an independent tea shop has a great sense of design. Later, I heard that the style of each store in their house is different. This store specializes in fruit teas, and what makes me most happy is the pure tea series. My boyfriend ordered grapefruit tea, and I ordered ice drops cold tea, which tasted good. Overall, the quality of his tea drinks is still very good, very mild and balanced, and the taste is relatively fresh and natural, which suits my taste very well!
Huo gongdian
Address: 50 meters east of Xiangyhong KTV on Pozi Street
Per capita: 120
The last meal in Changsha went to Huo Palace. Many marketing accounts said that his family had to eat when they came to Changsha, but to be honest, it was really ordinary. There are many people but basically all are tourists. There are many varieties but nothing delicious. The dishes are similar to our Cantonese-style refreshments, but the taste is far different. The price is not cheap either. If you want to eat enough, it is 100+ per person. The most important thing is that the taste is really average. The stinky tofu is fried too quickly. The lobster is not spicy but has no taste. The mutton kebabs have a strong fishy smell... In general, it is not as good as the street shops and much more expensive than the street shops. I don't recommend it to everyone.
South China snacks
Address: No. 55, Cai 'e North Road
Per capita: 10
After eating Huo Palace, I felt unwilling, and finally decided to go to South China snacks to soothe my injured soul. It was 7 p.m. when I went there. There were not many people in the store, but some dishes were already sold out. The feeling of this store was similar to that of the early canteen. The prices were very cheap, basically in single digits, and the bill was only accepted in cash. The owner who ordered the order would write you a few receipts. As long as he handed the receipt to the elder sister in the store, he would serve you food soon.
Shaved jelly, cold noodles, white grains, mung bean paste, milk lotus root flour... It is truly the flavor of old Changsha. Although the portions are not large, it is precisely because of this that a person can eat many different things. Overall, it is very recommended. After eating, I feel that my trip to Changsha was worth it.
04. play
Due to the limited time, we only chose the popular Yuelu Mountain this time. In fact, there are many scenic spots that can be visited in Changsha, such as Juzizhou Head, Jinggang Ancient Town... Friends who like to take photos can also go to the Xie Zilong Image Art Museum. Originally, we wanted to go, but time is really tight, so we will definitely go next time.
Yuelu mountain
Address: No. 58 Denggao Road, Changsha City, Hunan
Per capita: No tickets required
Yuelu Mountain is divided into the east gate and the south gate. There is no charge for the scenic area itself, but there is a charge for taking a bus or cableway up the mountain. It is 20 per way and 30 per way. The cableway was under maintenance on the day we went, so we chose to take a bus up the mountain from the east gate. Aiwan Pavilion is actually a pavilion for enjoying the shade. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers. The environment is very good, but there are also many people. Yuelu Academy is a must-check place. After all, it is one of the four famous academies in history. Every stone tablet shines with humanistic spirit. Yuelu Academy is a must-check place.
