The overall feeling of this trip to Hunan and Guizhou with my children was okay. The original plan was to go to Guizhou first, and then enter Hunan via Tongren and Xiangxi. Later, due to flight adjustments, I went to Hunan first and followed the original route to Guizhou. Later, this choice proved to be correct. Only after experiencing the high temperatures in Changsha can we have a deeper understanding of the coolness of Guizhou.
Enough gossip and start.
1. Hunan Chapter
Taiyuan--Changsha (Flight HU7298): 8:15: After getting off the plane, take a maglev bus to Changsha South Railway Station, transfer to Line 2 to Exit 1 of Renmin East Road, and stay at Changsha Huannian Sega Hotel (this hotel is very cost-effective and delivers milk and nourishing soup at night. The breakfast at the hotel is also good. There is a spicy Hunan restaurant next to it, which is very delicious).
Take a 2-hour break after lunch and take a taxi to the Hunan Museum around 3 p.m.(fewer people will be there, the museum will stop entering at 4 o'clock and close at 6 o'clock). Hunan Museum is one of the first batch of national-level museums that can be entered with an ID card. The treasures of the town hall inside are N treasures unearthed from Mawangdui. Among them, Sister Xin Zhui must everyone would like to see it.
Hunan Museum's knowledge reserves: cultural relics unearthed from the Han Tomb in Mawangdui, Sister Xin Zhui, etc. When you come out, it is next to Martyrs Park, where you can stroll around, and then go to the Huo Palace for snacks.
Early the next day: Yuelu Mountain and Yuelu Academy can be reached by subway (No. 2 to No. 4). We made the wrong trip, so remember to go to Hunan University, and then take advantage of the cool to visit Yuelu Academy (Chu is talented, but it is prosperous here). Visiting Yuelu Academy must do your homework in advance, otherwise you will find it boring. The west gate of Yuelu Academy comes out to face the Aiwan Pavilion, named after Du Fu's "Parking and Sitting in Love Maple Forest Evening". Just take a look, and then climb the mountain. There are many martyrs 'cemeteries on the mountain, and there are many Internet celebrity cafes and other light food restaurants on the top of the mountain. Hunan University is right next door.
At noon, I still go back to the hotel to sleep and escape the heat. At around 5 p.m., I can take the subway to the head of Juzizhou for a stroll. If you have free time, you can go to Meixi Lake, the end of Line 2.
After finishing Changsha, take the Changsha South-Huaihua bullet train in the morning for 1.5 hours. After getting off the bus, I take a taxi online to Phoenix. I stayed at the Yanyu Pavilion Hotel. The Yanyu Pavilion is next to the Fengqiao. Phoenix's Fengqiao, Yuqiao, Yunqiao, Hongqiao each have their own characteristics. Opposite is Nanhuashan Forest Park (if you go from Hongqiao, it costs 120 yuan, so you can go around it directly here. Not far away are the tombs of Shen Congwen and Zhang Zhaohe). Be careful when climbing mountains. There are snakes, and we encountered Xiaoqing on the way.
To visit the ancient city of Fenghuang, check in to Shen Congwen's former residence (40 yuan), which is very small; you need to visit the Hongqiao Museum (Huang Ziyu's masterpiece), and you just need to see the rest. The night view is even better. Avoid crowded areas and try to swim to the upper reaches or branches of the Tuojiang River.
Knowledge reserve: Shen Congwen, Huang Ziyu, read "Border Town". There is a sentence from "Border Town" at the door of every room in Yanyu Pavilion for children to feel it. The ancient city of Fenghuang is actually not far from Zhangjiajie. After careful consideration, I gave up. The weather was too hot and climbing was too strenuous. Moreover, Zhangjiajie would take 2-3 days to visit.
After visiting Phoenix, return to Huaihua and take the bullet train directly to Guiyang. There are many trains (buy tickets now depending on the time, it takes 1.5 hours. Be careful to reach Guiyang North Railway Station. There is also an East Railway Station in Guiyang, which is very far away). This route was the evacuation route after the Zunyi Conference. If you have seen the movie "Bloody Battle of Xiangjiang River", you will be able to understand the choice of the battle lines at that time.
2. Guiyang
There was a mistake in choosing accommodation in Guiyang. I chose Huaguoyuan. Guiyang is currently an Internet celebrity. It is bustling but a bit noisy, but the food is really rich and it is not far from the airport. Personally, I suggest not living in Huaguoyuan. You can choose to live in the Laocheng District near Changsha Station or near the subway line.
Local tours in Guiyang: Jiaxiu Tower (featuring Changlian), Qianling Mountain Park, and multiple wetland parks. Other attractions recommend Huangguoshu and Libo Xiaoqikong. The itinerary should be arranged in a long-near-far-near manner, so that children can have the strength to play well.
Let's talk about Qianling Mountain first. You must go to Qianling Mountain with your children. The macaques in Qianling Mountain were released by Hongfu Temple. There are many of them. They are on the same level as the monkeys in Emei Mountain. Children will like it very much. Qianling Mountain was still the place where Chiang Kai-shek imprisoned Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng, but "Red Rock" said that Yang Hucheng later lived in Baigongguan. This needs to be sorted out.
Libo Xiaoqikong and Huangguoshu are both small groups of 7-10 people reported on Ctrip. They are responsible for door-to-door pickups and downs. Moreover, the scenic spots will be arranged in accordance with their own opinions, which is relatively comfortable.
Libo Xiaoqikong: Inside, Wolong Lake, Yuanyang Lake, deep forest on the water, Laya Waterfall, and Xiaoqikong. We gave up the deep forest on the water because we had so much fun rowing at Yuanyang Lake. This is said to be the place where Ye Bei photographed survival in the wilderness at that time. It is really worth playing, but you should pay attention to safety. Spiders or something in the tree could fall on you at any time.
It takes 4 hours to get to Libo by car. In order to avoid the rush hour, the bus is picked up before 6 o'clock in the morning, so you must rest early the day before. Libo comes back at 9 o'clock. You can sleep in the next day and stroll around the city. For example, in the National Protection Road area, during the National Protection Movement, Tang Jiyao was from Yunnan, and the other core leaders were all from Guizhou. The route was from Guizhou to northern Hunan, which was the same as the route we came from. Deng Enming, the first party representative in the country, was from Libo, and there is Deng Enming's centenary in Libo.
Huang Guoshu also entered early in the morning to avoid the flow of people. Don't go to Shuilian Cave. If there are too many people, you will lose your good mood. Just find a pavilion and sit there to watch the waves from afar. Douputang Waterfall inside Huangguoshu Waterfall is the place where Journey to the West is photographed. There are illustrations of Journey to the West on the roadside. If you are not in a hurry, you can watch it with your children.
The highlight attraction is the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area. It is very tiring, but it is really worth it and there are few people. This mainly depends on the child's physical strength, which relies entirely on two feet.
Knowledge reserve: In the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area in Huangguoshu, writer Liang Heng once wrote an essay, which is a compulsory article for high school students to read and can be read to children after visiting. At the same time, children are recommended to read the article written by Liang Heng about Taiyuan Jinci. I think this article was included in a high school Chinese textbook back then.
What to eat in Guiyang: fish in sour soup, spicy chicken, and baked pan. You can try them all.
Huang Guoshu usually returns to the city around 6 o'clock. You can take a rest and choose to visit the Huaxi Wetland the next day (we went to the Aha Lake Wetland, which has a lot of mosquitoes), or you can fly back to Taiyuan in the afternoon.
