At 12:20 noon on March 17, 2021, we took the K147 train to Changsha and arrived at Changsha Station at 5:30 p.m.. We took Metro Line 2 out of the station and the fare was 2 yuan to Furong Square. Not far from walking distance, we booked Home Inn Furong Square Subway Station Store, queen bed room, double breakfast, room price is 126 yuan.

Later, I learned that taking the subway in Changsha is free for people over 65 years old. You only need to show your ID card and walk through the green channel and you can travel unimpeded. But until I left Changsha, I didn't enjoy this treatment. I didn't know it at first, but later I unintentionally ignored it.

This is the only city I have ever been to that has such benefits, and it deserves praise and applause. In addition, Hangzhou Metro also has a benefit, which is that the first 6 payments made by Alipay on each mobile phone are free. This is also a good policy, very heart-warming and worth recommending.

The next day, March 18, the weather in Changsha was still bad, but we arranged to go to the Hunan Province Museum that day. It must be reminded that although visiting the Hunan Province Museum is free, an appointment is required in advance and ticket collection is not accepted at the window. We made a successful online reservation in advance. After breakfast on the 18th, we took the No. 3 bus at Furong Square to the Provincial Museum. We arrived at 8:40. At this moment, people were queuing in front of the door. It is nearly 9 o'clock, and the team is already dozens of meters. It can be seen that the Hunan Province Museum is a very popular check-in point. Many of the tourists lining up do not know that they need to make reservations in advance. With the help of the staff, they make reservations on-site. Since it is not the peak season, reservations on the same day can also be successful. If they catch weekends or holidays, the daily limit of 9000 people may not be able to book tickets. Therefore, to be on the safe side, it is better to make reservations in advance.

The museum opens at 9 o'clock. We pass through security with our ID cards, show our health code, wear masks, and enter for a visit. Remember, there is a green channel for people over 65 years old and there is no need to queue. On that day, we purchased a fee-paying exhibition hall online, such as Qing Dynasty and Republic of China embroidery and celebrity exhibitions. When we entered the museum, we wanted to have a sneak peek, but the staff told us that it was the first exhibition that day, and the opening ceremony would be held first and would not be opened to the public until 10 o'clock.

The reputation and exhibits of the Hunan Province Museum are among the best in the country. It has rich collections and is famous among the north and south. Especially since it was reopened on November 29, 2017 after several years of renovation and installation, it has made people look forward to it.

Hunan Province Museum is the largest historical and art museum in Hunan Province, covering an area of 49,000 square meters and a total construction area of 91,000 square meters. It is the first batch of national-level first-class museums and one of the eight national-level key museums jointly built by the central and local governments.

Since its establishment, the Hunan Province Museum has taken protecting and inheriting excellent historical culture as its own responsibility, integrating the collection, collection, research, display, education and service of cultural relics. Over the years, as a cultural landmark of Changsha City, it has attracted thousands of tourists. It is a national key museum representing regional civilization in China and an important window for people to understand the process of Huxiang civilization and appreciate the secrets of Huxiang culture.

The Hunan Province Museum currently has more than 180,000 cultural relics in its collection, especially the cultural relics unearthed from the Han tombs in Mawangdui, the bronze wares of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, Chu cultural relics, ceramics of the past dynasties, calligraphy and painting, and modern cultural relics are the most distinctive. In order to enable these cultural relics and treasures to be fully displayed in this art hall, Xiangbo people scientifically and deeply explored the connotation of cultural relics and used modern display art to carefully create the "Changsha Mawangdui Han Tomb Exhibition" and the "Hunan People-Sanxiang Historical and Cultural Exhibition" two basic displays and four special exhibition halls of bronze, ceramics, calligraphy and painting, and crafts to display outstanding cultural relics of mankind. In addition, the Hunan Province Museum has also continuously introduced and launched temporary exhibitions with rich content and various forms to comprehensively display and disseminate Huxiang culture to the public at home and abroad, and introduces world civilization and excellent culture.

Until 1 p.m., we had seen the Hunan historical and cultural display, the Changsha Mawangdui Han tomb display, the bronze museum, the ceramics museum and the special exhibition hall with fees. Basically, we collected all the museum's collections and enjoyed them, and gained a lot. After the visit, I ate a bowl of noodles at a restaurant outside the door, and then rushed to the next stop, Changsha Museum, to continue the visit.
