There is joy in summer, and the bamboo wind blows the fragrance of lotus.
The happiest thing in summer is to start a long-awaited trip, just like the appointment I made with Hunan this summer solstice.
This summer, I came to Hunan for a slow trip. I spent 6 days and 5 nights walking through Changsha, Xiangtan and Zhuzhou. In the carnival of taste buds, I deeply felt the profound cultural heritage and beautiful natural scenery of Changzhutan.
Regarding the itinerary:
D1. Visit Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and Huo Palace for lunch in the morning. In the afternoon, walk through Baiguoyuan Historical and Cultural Tourism District and Find Bookstore, Wenheyou, visit Xiangjiang River at night, eat at Fisherman's Wharf, and stay at Changsha R & F Wanda Mandarin Hotel in the evening.
D2. Visit Tongguanyao Ancient Town in the morning, visit Xiangjiang Happy City in the afternoon, enjoy the most remembered Shaoshanchong performance, and shoot the iron-forging flower performance in Daolin Ancient Town in the evening.

D5. Visit Liling Ceramics Valley in Zhuzhou in the morning and return home after lunch.
Regarding pre-trip preparations:
1. Summer in Hunan is relatively hot, so sun protection is crucial here. Before leaving, bring good sunscreen with a sun protection index above 50 and good water resistance. My travel season is June, which belongs to the rainy season, so bring rain gear when traveling.
2. Summer is the best season to eat crayfish. Whether it is Changsha, Xiangtan or Zhuzhou, there are many restaurants that specialize in eating crayfish. Moreover, Hunan food is relatively spicy, and some medicines to prevent heat stroke and gastrointestinal diseases must be prepared.
3. There are many scenic spots in Hunan that are very good to take photos. When we girls travel, remember to wear clothes with beautiful colors.
4. The camera equipment I must bring when traveling, including a camera, mobile phone, tripod, will add color to your travel travels. I bring DJI drones, Sony microphones, and Apple phones here. When traveling in Hunan, there are many good scenery along the way., remember to bring two extra spare batteries.
Mi BookstoreI have always had a different feeling about bookstores. I miss the quiet reading time when I was a student. Nowadays, our understanding of bookstores has never been just a place to sell books, but a place to train the mind, store memories, and soothe emotions. home. Changsha's Mi Bookstore is a new literary and artistic landmark in the city, attracting many book lovers.
Hunan Yuhua Intangible Cultural Heritage MuseumThe scenery of a city has gone through a long period of time. In the bloom of time, it often brings us different surprises. There are 359 intangible cultural heritage projects in Hunan Yuhua Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. In the cultural atmosphere, feel the charm of intangible cultural heritage. I think this place is very suitable for parent-child travel, so that children can learn a lot of knowledge that cannot be learned in books through the pictures and texts.
Baiguoyuan Historical and Cultural Tourism DistrictChangsha is a city with profound historical and cultural heritage, as well as a city of trendy literature and art. Baiguoyuan Historical and Cultural Tourism District incorporates fashion elements into the old streets and alleys. The simple and elegant old houses are simple and elegant, but when you walk in, you will find coffee, desserts, trendy entertainment, cultural creativity, new and old, classical and modern, perfect integration here.
Huo gongdianWhen I first heard the name Huo Gong Palace, I would never have imagined that it would be associated with Changsha's cuisine. Huo Gong Palace is one of the must-check places when traveling to Changsha. The snacks here are particularly famous. Changsha stinky tofu, authentic braised pork and sugar oil cake are second to none in Changsha and are a time-honored Chinese brand famous at home and abroad.
When you come to Changsha, you must definitely eat authentic Changsha stinky tofu. The Changsha stinky tofu from Huo Palace is pleasing to the eye from the outside, and the ingredients are also very particular. For a piece of stinky tofu, a small hole must be poked in the middle and various ingredients must be put in. Then according to your personal taste, you can dip it in different sauces. At first, you can smell the stench, but after careful tasting, you will find the aroma attractive.
Wen heyouWen Heyou is Changsha's Internet celebrity check-in place and a favorite place for Changsha people. It is located in Hisense Square, No. 36 Xiangjiang Middle Road, Changsha. As soon as you walk into the door, you are attracted by the retro style here. The seven-story building, each floor has its own style. The old buildings and old objects take us back to the 1980s. It brings together various flavors of Changsha, and it does not delay taking photos and tasting delicious food.
Night tour of Xiangjiang RiverThere is a Changsha star in the sky and a star on the ground. The profound historical and cultural heritage and the star-studded Changsha teenagers give Changsha a different urban color. A night cruise at the head of Orange Island is a romantic thing. In more than an hour, you can check in on Changsha's most classic landmark building. Check-in points along the way: Juzizhou, Yuelu Mountain, Dufujiang Pavilion, Statue of Young Great Men, Wanda Buildings, Fisherman's Wharf, Xiangjiang River First Bridge, etc.
fisherman's WharfAlong the beautiful Xiangjiang River, there are 23 European buildings full of exotic customs. This is the Fisherman's Wharf that Changsha people like to visit most. The correct way to open Fisherman's Wharf is to meet with friends on three or five, sit in the open-air night market, drink beer and eat lobster, and chat while eating. It's a pleasure.
Wanda Mandarin Hotel, ChangshaFor two nights in Changsha, I stayed at the R & F Wanda Mandarin Hotel. The spacious and bright space and warm and fashionable layout made my trip to Changsha more complete.
Tongguanyao Ancient TownTongguanyao Ancient Town is built along the lake. It has a quiet environment and a wealth of experience projects. There are eight museums here, allowing us to experience the profoundness of Hunan culture with pictures and texts. When we come to Tongguanyao Ancient Town, we can take a map of the scenic spot and check in according to my favorite projects. What impressed me is the ceramic experience project here. I can make a ceramic product that I like by myself, which is still a great sense of accomplishment.
Most memories of ShaoshanchongWhen traveling in Hunan, there is a performance that must be seen."Most Remembering Shaoshan Chong" kicks off in the distant and clear folk songs of Shaoshan. In the impassioned poems and songs, it tells us exciting stories one after another. The large-scale indoor sitcom "Most Remembering of Shaoshan Chong" was created and directed by Zhang Yimou as the general director. It is magnificent and touching.
After enjoying the wonderful visual feast, come back to the former residence of the great man and experience the picturesque scenery of Shaoshanchong among the green mountains and beautiful rivers.
Daolin Ancient TownDaolin Ancient Town has the reputation of Little Nanjing. It was once very prosperous. It was an ancient town with a history of 1100 years. When I came here, I enjoyed a unique iron-forging flower performance. The theme play was called Hunan People of the Millennium Iron Soul. The performance passed through Hunan historical figures through time and space. The dialogue and the wonderful iron-forging flower performance presented us with a feast of sound, light and shadow.
HualixiaoheIn the pattering rain, I came to the legendary Xiaohe in the painting. Xiaohe Township is located in the heart of the Luoxiao Mountains. The mountains in the rain are shrouded in clouds and mist, like a fairyland. The houses hidden in the green mountains seem more and more poetic. The picture in front of me is as fresh as a picture of pastoral scenery.
There is a very famous Internet celebrity check-in spot in Xiaohe Township, Yichu Dam and Tiedu Dam. I also came for the two dams this time. The body of Yichu Dam is designed with 172 scales, and the shooting in the sunset is particularly beautiful. Because it rained when I came. Although I saw the misty scenery, I missed the opportunity to see Yichu Dam. The encounters during the journey were full of unknowns. Perhaps they were laying a small foreshadowing for me to come back in the future.
Zhuzhou Power ValleyZhuzhou, Hunan Province is a small tourist city. China's first electric locomotive, China's first small and medium-sized aeroengine, the first electric locomotive, the first cemented carbide, and the first medium and low-speed maglev train were all born in Zhuzhou. Parent-child travel enters Zhuzhou Power Valley and starts a cool trip with the explanation of intelligent robots.
Power Valley is divided into 6ˇ large areas: focusing on Power Valley, rail transit, general aviation, new energy vehicles, emerging industries "5+2", and national independent innovation demonstration zones. Power Valley is very suitable for parent-child travel. Through pictures, texts and explanations, you can feel the power and rapid changes of Chinese technology.
Backyard Flower Language RestaurantTo understand a city, let's start with the food. I always feel that the food that locals love also hides the temperament and cultural heritage of the city. For dinner arrangements, I specially came to the backyard Huayu Restaurant recommended by local friends. This is a new Internet celebrity restaurant. The environment is not only suitable for taking photos and checking in, but also has unique food.
The Huayu Restaurant in the backyard is only across the road from the Xiangjiang River. Outside, there is the surging Xiangjiang River, and indoors, there is an elegant and quiet dining environment. These are all my favorite styles. Maintaining aesthetics on the table is Hunan people's pursuit of refinement and our respect for a good life. The seafood here is very enjoyable to eat.
Liling Ceramic ValleyLiling, Zhuzhou is one of the three major porcelain capitals in China. It has a profound ceramic cultural heritage. It is the origin of the world's colorful underglaze porcelain. The ceramic industry has a history of more than 2,000 years. Liling's ceramics are China's national geographical indication products. During my trip to Hunan, I visited the Ceramics Museum and Art District in Liling to learn about the past and profoundness of Liling ceramics and experience the present life of Chinese ceramic culture.
Slow travel in summer, charming Hunan, tongue-of-mouth carnival, and cultural feast. Although the five-day and four-night trip to Hunan is over, my story with Hunan will continue.
