The 2019 epidemic made us feel for Wuhan. We met to go and have a visit together after the epidemic. I knew about the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, the Yellow Crane Tower, and Wuhan University, but I was a little excited to be there in person. After receiving the second dose of the vaccine, I packed up and rushed to the place where I was already free.
After taking the train all night, I arrived in Wuchang at 7 a.m. the next morning and took a taxi to the Intercontinental Hotel in Wuhan where I booked.
First stop: Hubu Lane. After being hungry all night, I couldn't wait to come here to taste the three delicacies bean skins and fresh meat soup dumplings in Hubu Lane. The taste was still good.
Eat and drink enough, let's go!
The Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge was completed and opened to traffic in 1957. Since half a century, it has experienced strong winds, floods and more than 70 impact accidents, especially head-on impacts from 10,000-ton oil tankers. The bridge still stands tall and strong. Standing here, overlooking the Yangtze River Bridge, I remembered Chairman Mao's poem: "A bridge flies north and south, and the natural chasm becomes a thoroughfare." What courage and domineering attitude. A sense of pride arose. I can't help but sigh: It is worthy of being the first bridge of the Yangtze River in thousands of miles.
Keep walking.
The Yellow Crane Tower, one of the three famous buildings in Jiangnan, stands tall on Snake Mountain. It was built in the Three Kingdoms Era (223) and was initially built in the first year of Yongtai of Tang Dynasty (765). However, wars were frequent and the Yellow Crane Tower was built and abandoned repeatedly. In the end, the only copper cast roof of the Yellow Crane Tower remained. The Yellow Crane Tower was rebuilt in 1981 and was located on Shefeng Peak. Completed in 1985. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction and enjoys the reputation of "a unique scenery in the world". Remembering the classic saying: "The yellow crane is gone forever, and the white clouds have drifted in the sky for thousands of years."

"The misty rain is vast and green, turtles and snakes lock the river, the wine is surging, and the heart is high after the waves." Looking at the slowly flowing Yangtze River water, you can feel the years that have passed away from the east. Walking through the 1670-meter Yangtze River Bridge, you will find Guishan in front of you. Guishan Mountain is one of the mountains with many scenic spots and historic sites in Wuhan. It has a long history and has been a battleground for military strategists of past dynasties. We entered from the south gate and saw Lu Su's tomb, statues of figures from the Three Kingdoms, Xiangjingyu Martyrs Cemetery, and Red Soldier Cemetery.
I was so tired from walking, so I took a taxi to Jianghan Road to have something to eat. Jianghan Road is 1210 meters long and is the longest pedestrian street in China. It has the reputation of a pedestrian street in the world. It is also the Wuhan Museum of 20th Century Architecture. Integrating shopping, leisure, tourism and culture, it is an important business card for Wuhan City. The transportation is convenient, and taking the subway is even more convenient and quick.
It was a very tiring day. When I saw WeChat walking, I walked more than 27,000. I really admired my courage and returned to the hotel to rest. Standing on the balcony on the 18th floor, I saw the charming night view of Greater Wuhan, with flashing lights and endless changes. Give people unlimited beauty and reverie.
Looking back on the days and nights of that year, what sleepless nights the people of Wuhan experienced. I sincerely wish the people of Wuhan peace of mind and happiness.
Day 2: Wuhan University, Chuhe Han Street, Hubei Province Museum
Wuhan University is a key university in the national 985 and 211 projects, with strong scientific research strength and a gathering of talents.
The old library of Wuhan University is regarded as a landmark building and symbol of spirit. Mainly collecting historical documents.
Next stop: Chuhehan Street
Chuhe Han Street is not only a commercial, but also an urban historical, cultural and ecological landscape project. The main body adopts the architectural style of the Republic of China, interspersed with fashionable elements, modern architecture and European architecture are integrated. We had hardly entered the street when it began to rain, and it was getting worse and worse. As a last resort, I didn't go further. It's a pity.
Along the East Lake, braving light rain, we walked towards the Hubei Province Museum.
The Hubei Province Museum has condensed the thousand-year-old Chu culture. It has the national national treasure collection of the chimes of Marquis Yi of Zeng and the sword of King Gou Jian of Yue. You need to make an appointment in advance to come here. Fortunately, we are over our age and entered smoothly. Those young men and girls who came in the rain had no choice but to be disappointed standing in the rain.
The weather forecast said that the probability of rain in Wuhan in the next two days was 100%, so we decided to change the original plan and visit Xiangtan next stop.
First stop: Xiangtan Yaowan Historical and Cultural District
Yaowan Historical and Cultural District reflects the economic prosperity at that time. Attractions include Tanbao Bus Station, Wangheng Pavilion, Datangxing Temple, Binjiang Landscape, etc. Yaowan Old Street thrives on the water, and Xiangjiang River water flows slowly from it, and there is also that antique town, quiet and quiet...
Continue walking to the next attraction: Wanlou
It was founded in the forty-third year of Wanli of the Ming Dynasty. Ten thousand is the largest number, and the city city has grown since then. It adopts a structure with nine inner floors and five outer floors, implying "the Ninth Five-Year Supreme". Currently, no one collects tickets in Wanlou. We entered without difficulty. We just walked around the lowest level and stood there looking up. It was very spectacular.
If you can relax your body when traveling, you will find many different scenery along the way. We have seen Qiu Jin's former residence, Renli Street, Beiwu Provincial Guild Hall, Guanxiang Gate, etc., but because of limited space, we don't introduce them one by one. The Xiangjiang River at night is particularly charming under the bright lights. The nightlife of Xiangtan people is full of happiness and happiness, which left a deep impression on me. In addition, I would recommend MGM International Hotel in Xiangtan. The bedding in the hotel is very comfortable. The bathrobe is not very thick, and the fabric may have silk ingredients. There is also the huge bathtub, which is unique.
Because we were not far from Shaoshan, we set off again. There is a bus in front of Shaoshan Railway Station. It costs 3 yuan per person. It takes it directly to the scenic spots of Shaoshan Tourism Distribution Center. Then it changes to the special bus for the scenic spots. It costs 20 yuan per person. The ticket is stamped with the stamp of the scenic spot and we can visit and use it within two days. We booked the Shaoshan Hotel, which is located in the scenic spot, so we put down our luggage and went directly to various scenic spots. The reservation was full and we did not enter the attraction.
Last stop: Changsha
First, we went to the head of Juzi Island. There were tourist buses at the door. The queue was long. We walked all the way in the rain. When we stood in front of the statue of Chairman Mao when he was young, we were still shocked. It rained heavily that day, and there were an endless stream of visitors.
Next stop: Yuelu Academy and Scenic Area
Yuelu Academy was one of the four major academies in ancient China. It was partially destroyed during the Anti-Japanese War. It was announced as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 1956 and was restored in stages after 1981.
"Parking and sitting in the maple forest at night, the frost leaves are redder than February flowers." The three words "Aiwan Pavilion", one of the four famous pavilions in China, were inscribed by Chairman Mao.
After that, we also went to Hunan University, Xiao Jinguang's former residence, and Changsha Snack Street. We tasted the local sugar cakes and bought a few bags of stinky tofu, so we won't go through them one by one.
Last day: The Hunan Province Museum visited the tomb of Madame Simba, the most famous tomb of the Han Dynasty in Mawangdui, as well as collections of Shang and Zhou bronzes, Chu cultural relics, Susa single clothes, and ceramics from past dynasties. Everywhere they saw, they lamented the intention and wisdom of the craftsmen of those years.
After the nine-day trip, I don't seem to have seen enough. It's always raining in Hubei and Hunan these days, which has somewhat affected my mood, but my husband feels very good. He likes to walk in the rain and enjoy this feeling. Then I have to sacrifice my life to accompany a gentleman. Alas! I'm just saying, but I don't actually go so far. I like the rain too, but don't let it rain too hard. Looking forward to next time. We're walking together.
