two days and one night

It has been more than two years since I came to Changsha to study, and my friends have been planning to come and visit me, but due to various reasons, the delayed travel plan was not realized until this year. They set out from Chengdu and Luzhou respectively, met at the Chongqing High-speed Railway Station, and happily came to Hunan from Sichuan thousands of miles away. I was also very excited. I started the strategy early. Several people chatted about it for more than a month, and finally ushered in a good day to celebrate the birthday of the motherland. There is no doubt that our first choice for our trip is of course the beautiful Changsha in the crisp autumn! Here is a small reminder that the temperature difference between morning and evening in Changsha in early September is still slightly large. The climate during the day is relatively warm and dry, and the temperature will drop in the evening. Therefore, if you want to travel to Changsha during the National Day holiday in the future, you must at least Prepare a medium thick coat. The most important point is that the hotel must be booked in advance, otherwise you may face the embarrassing scene of sleeping on the street and squatting in an Internet cafe. Hahaha.
Day 1: Miao Street Pedestrian Street-Juzizhou-Taiping Old Street
Day 2: Eat crayfish at Hisense Square, Hunan Province Museum
Accommodation: 300
Catering: 300
It was past ten o'clock in the morning after leaving my luggage. I was not very hungry, but when I saw the various delicious food in other people's hands, I suddenly began to feel hungry. In line with the spirit of people across the country who go out and put food first, the three of us decisively chose Temple Street and Pedestrian Street not far away as our first stop for food. Along the way, I gave them Amway's smelly tofu countless times, and vividly introduced how different the food here is from our Sichuan food. They both calmly said that the status of Sichuan food cannot be shaken. While I complained in my heart about their short-sighted knowledge, I couldn't wait to take them to the food street. Facts have proved that individuals cannot escape Wang Jingze's law haha. For the first serving of stinky tofu, we ate from Wen Heyou's house in the pedestrian street. There is no other reason. It's famous! The herd mentality prompted us to stand sweating in the crowd for more than 20 minutes, and finally we got our stinky tofu.
It looks like this. It tastes good and sells well. It's probably the biggest feature of their family. The cilantro on it is really nice, haha. But what I like most is the meat sauce in stinky tofu. When I bite it, in addition to the unique soup of stinky tofu, the delicious, salty and spicy meat sauce will flow into my mouth along with the tofu pieces. For those of us who like strong flavors, it's not too exciting for people. How fragrant! Slapping in the face always comes so off guard hahahahaha. After eating Wen Heyou's stinky tofu, the two of them immediately said they would buy a few bags of vacuum-packed tofu to go back. I said it was still early, and I was in no hurry to buy it now. They could also try other ones by the way. Then we really started to taste the Changsha stinky tofu tour... At the end of the day, we ate stinky tofu from four restaurants in total. Maybe we had preconceived ideas, or maybe their food was really delicious. Anyway, we still bought Wen Heyou's in the end. haha. (Below is a collection of stinky tofu)
In addition, my favorite is their big sausage. It has a lot of portions and meat. It tastes really good and really fills up.
Entering Temple Street, there were really many people, but it was also really lively and beautiful. We had just finished eating two bowls of stinky tofu, but we bought another bowl here to eat... Fortunately, the taste here is not bad. Although there are many people, it is scattered and delicious while shopping and eating.
We walked around Temple Street and Pedestrian Street for most of the day. We wanted to have a good meal in the afternoon, but we were so tired that we went back to the hotel and had a nap first. When we woke up, it was already afternoon... I took the subway directly to Juzizhou.
I used to think that the most noteworthy thing about Orange Island was the huge statue of Grandpa Mao and the beautiful fireworks. Now I know that the most interesting thing about Orange Island is oranges! I deeply regret that I missed the fireworks on the first day of National Day, but as an outstanding successor to communism, I must see the statue of Grandpa Mao, and I must also stand where he has stood. After getting off the subway, we made it a few steps away to the ticket sales place for the Internet celebrity small train, as well as the ferry. However, the ticket price was too expensive and we gave up the idea of rafting on the Xiangjiang River. We bought a 20-yuan ticket for five stations. Small train sightseeing tickets lined up happily. This sightseeing bus is really creative, with a lovely design, reasonable route and cheap price.
After sitting for three stops, we decided to get off the bus and walk for a while. Walking on the edge of the Xiangjiang River, we felt the cool night wind. On the road were pedestrians coming and going with mobile phones and cameras. Opposite were thousands of lights and high-rise buildings. The night view here is very beautiful, and the statues taken at night have a unique flavor. It is worth mentioning that there are really many oranges and grapefruits in Orange Island, and they are very big and sweet when they are ripe on National Day. However, tourists are not allowed to pick them. Staff will sell them during the day, and they cost 15 yuan a bag. My sand carving friend stood at the head of Juzizhou, looking north of the Xiangjiang River, and improvised a poem,"Eat oranges at the head of Juzizhou, and look at maple leaves in the Maple Leaf Pavilion."
After taking photos and shopping, we took the small train again. After getting off at the terminal station, we decided to walk back. So half an hour later, we walked to Taiping Old Street. Here, we accidentally saw Wen Heyou Stinky Tofu Museum??? God, there's a museum for stinky tofu. I was really surprised, let's learn about the first stinky tofu museum in China.
There is a cute stinky tofu sign as soon as I entered the door. Thinking of the stinky tofu I usually eat, it makes people feel a little hard to swallow. I believe that when I eat stinky tofu in the future, I will be deeply impressed by this stinky guy.
After entering, there is a projector to tell the fermentation process of stinky tofu, as well as an introduction to the materials and the production of brine, which allows everyone to experience the entire production process of stinky tofu, making people feel safe to eat.
Don't miss the interactive equipment in the exhibition area. Smell and projection interactive technology will give you a deeper understanding of stinky tofu.
The storm in the nasal cavity is to experience the smell of this brine. Although I am a loyal fan of stinky tofu, I can't stand the smell of this brine. I couldn't recover for ten minutes, and vowed never to smell it out of curiosity again.
The middle part of the entire museum is a physical display of stinky tofu production, fermentation tanks, sterilization protective clothing, etc.
Then there is the museum's specialty area. All packaging has the sign of stinky boy. Among them, stinky cans are being sold, some cakes and some stinky tofu that is easy to carry. You can also take the odorous cans back to your family to smell them. Of course, you have to share the smell together.
There are also souvenirs, stinky tofu dolls and the like at the exit. Buy some conveniently and go back as a souvenir. It is also very suitable for taking photos.
Every person who comes here is 50 to 100. Those who like Changsha and stinky tofu must come and take a look. It is highly recommended. I can't help but admire it!
For the next day's itinerary, I went straight to the Hunan Province Museum in the morning. Here is a recommendation to pay attention to when visiting the Provincial Museum. Except for being closed every Monday on weekdays, you can enter with your ID card at other times. However, when encountering holidays with a lot of traffic, you must make an appointment online in advance! Otherwise, you may end up in line until the end of time. There are many ways to make reservations, and WeChat paying attention to the public account of the Hunan Province Museum is a simple way. The next day, the three of us got up early, hurriedly ate a bowl of fish meal that should taste good, and got on the bus to the museum. We caught the first batch to enter the museum (but it still took a very long time). The first one, of course, was to go straight to the Mawangdui Han Tomb Exhibition Hall! The burial objects of Mrs. Xin Zhui are especially plain gauze Zen clothes as thin as cicada wings and exquisite T-shaped silk paintings. The wisdom of the ancients is really amazing. Unfortunately, due to the heavy traffic during the National Day, the voluntary explanation session of volunteers was cancelled. I could only rely on my limited knowledge to explain to my friends.
The Hunan Province Museum is really one of the most valuable attractions in Changsha. You must see it! In addition to the Mawangdui Han Tomb, there is also a Sanxiang historical and cultural display in Hunan. The exhibition hall is on the second floor of the museum. Numerous sand tables, animal and plant specimens and historical relics displays show the strong root-seeking culture of the hard-working and brave Hunan people. Every ancient cultural relic has its own unique story. After the vicissitudes of life, only these surviving cultural relics bring us reverie, allowing us to trace the story thousands of years ago. Looking at those well-preserved antiquities, there is a magical feeling. We and someone thousands of years ago have traveled through time and space, but are staring at the same thing.
The Provincial Museum is really big. It is almost two o'clock in the afternoon after we finished shopping. We are already hungry. There is actually a place to eat in the museum, but not to mention the price of the 10 yuan roast sausage, just the long line that couldn't be seen at a glance made us decide to endure our hunger and watch it before going out for a delicious meal!
After we came out, we read food recommendations online for a while and decided to eat crayfish. How could we come to Changsha without eating Wenheyou Lobster Restaurant? Take a taxi and go straight to Hisense Square, ready to eat Wen Heyou's crayfish. Emmmmm.... There were really many people, and even though it was past meal time, we still waited for more than an hour.
I wanted to leave for a while because I was so hungry, but fortunately I finally waited, and I finally ate the delicious food that lived up to its reputation. Let's talk about the decoration style here first. It has a retro and antiquated feeling of an old Hong Kong alley in the 1980s. Like the scenes in Stephen Chow's movies, they are very beautiful and interesting, and they are also very suitable for taking photos. Especially young ladies who like Hong Kong style, don't miss this place.
We ordered three orders of rice bibimbap with lard, one part of crayfish, one part of beef kebabs, one part of mutton kebabs, one part of saoluo, and three bowls of stinky tofu (yes, we love stinky tofu so much...) There were also some small dishes, but due to the uneven speed of serving, they were eaten before they were served, and the complete picture could not be taken. Let's start with lard bibimbap. It costs two yuan per bowl, but it's a little too little. We later ordered a few more bowls, haha, but it was really delicious, fragrant but not greasy, and had an excellent taste. Roast beef and mutton kebabs are not what I like very much. I think if there are more ingredients, the taste of the beef and mutton itself will be lighter, but they think it is not bad. It can be seen that delicious food varies from person to person. Souluo edamame is also very delicious. Iced edamame as a side dish with wine is definitely my favorite with a little spicy taste. Souluo is just troublesome to eat, but the more you eat, the more you want to eat it, haha.
The final highlight finally came, the long-awaited crayfish. Let's talk about the taste first. The shrimp meat is very fresh, tender and smooth, and has excellent taste. Personally, I don't think it's very spicy, but it's definitely enough for people who eat average spicy food. Let's talk about the appearance, the color of the shrimp is very positive and very beautiful. It's the kind that makes you want to see it at a glance. It's really beautiful. It is said that this flavor of shrimp is stir-fried with heavy ingredients of fragrant leaves, grass, fruit, ginger and garlic. No wonder it is so delicious. I heard from the waiter that it has been sold out three or four times, so you can imagine how popular it is.
The perfect journey is over
It was already past four o'clock in the afternoon after eating the crayfish. We had to go to another city for the high-speed train at around five o'clock, so we rushed back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and catch the high-speed train. We would also like to thank the hotel lady. Although we checked out early in the morning, we still kind enough to help us store our luggage. He was a really nice person. Let me end with my favorite sentence. Traveling is a very interesting thing. Whether it is the scenery or the passers-by on the way, it will bring us surprises. Those who love the road will one day meet each other on the road. May I be your passer-by on the next journey.
