Every time I visit a city, what I like to visit most is the museum. Through them, I can not only quickly understand the past of the city, but also the soul of the city. Even when major museums in China were closed during the epidemic, I traveled around the museums to understand the stories behind the treasures of the town one by one.
Which museums in China are worth visiting? First of all, provincial museums must be the first choice for travelers. Most of them are free and have rich exhibits. They stay for half a day. Today, I will take you to the provincial museums in two popular cities. They are all like crouching tigers and hidden dragons. Even if you have already been there, you may be able to accidentally discover a small surprise again.
Hunan Province Museum
There are many museums of all kinds in Changsha. The heavyweight one must be the Hunan Province Museum, but Changsha people like to call it Huxiang Museum. If you just talk about the Hunan Province Museum, they may be a little confused.
Xiangbo can be summarized in three words: complete, rich and beautiful, that is, complete space, rich exhibits, and beautiful architecture. The beauty of its architecture can be felt from the first glance at the appearance of the museum. This three-hall shape was created by Japanese designer Shinichi Isozaki. While retaining the historical significance, it also demonstrates the meaning of "prosperous Dongting", giving people an ancient and trendy feeling.
The best thing about Xiangbo is that it has "pictures and texts". All the exhibits are marked with uses and meanings. There are also manual commentators and volunteers telling the story of Huxiang culture, history and cultural relics. Xiaobai can also listen to the cultural relics with gusto.
Changsha Mawangdui Han Tomb Exhibition Hall definitely occupies C position. Walking into the museum, you can see that the 17-meter original tomb pit of Mrs. Xin Zhui has turned into an electronic environmental protection screen, alternately showing the scene of dragons, beasts, etc. soaring, with a creepy and mysterious color. The coffin in which she slept was also divided into three layers from large to small, with exquisite and gorgeous patterns.
The plain gauze single clothes and T-shaped silk paintings among the burial objects are amazing. The plain gauze single clothes are exquisite and as thin as cicada wings, and cannot be reproduced even with modern craftsmanship. The current popular "wearing underwear outside" was already "ruined" by the ancients in the Han Dynasty.
The T-shaped silk painting was placed on the coffin lid of Mrs. Xin Zhui when it was unearthed. It is still intact after more than 2000 years. What is shocking is that the Golden Crow in the middle of the sun was actually a phenomenon when the ancients observed sunspots with the naked eye. As you watch it all the way, you will find that there are always people pondering in front of a certain exhibit and then express heartfelt amazement. Only by actually coming here can you feel the charm of these cultural relics.

Zhejiang Province Museum
As the largest comprehensive museum in Zhejiang Province, the Zhejiang Province Museum has many treasures of the town and museum that have appeared in "National Treasures", such as the jade cong that Qianlong liked very much, the colorful phoenix Mingqi of the Tang Dynasty, and the Wangong sedan chair. Therefore, people are relatively familiar with the Zhejiang Province Museum. This museum was first built at the southern foot of Gushan Mountain in West Lake. Later, the Wulin Museum Area located in Hangzhou's West Lake Cultural Square was also completed and opened, so it is now divided into Gushan Museum Area and Wulin Museum Area.
The Wulin Museum Area is located in the downtown area, with the Science and Technology Museum, Natural History Museum, etc. nearby. If you visit them all, you can stay for a whole day. The Wulin Pavilion Area consists of three floors above the ground and a basement floor. The content of the exhibition hall on the ground is fixed, and the underground is a temporary exhibition hall. Nine of the top ten town treasures of the Zhejiang Province Museum are here, including the above-mentioned "Fuchun Mountain Residence Picture Volume" by King Yu Cong and Huang Gongwang.
In addition to these familiar cultural relics, the ceramic collection is also a major feature of the Wulin Museum Area, with a complete variety and a huge number. As we all know, China is the first country in the world to start firing porcelain. The origin of Chinese porcelain lies in Zhejiang, and Yue Kiln and Longquan Kiln are the two most important kiln factories in Zhejiang. For example, the four-series celadon cans of the Tang Yue Kiln have a plump and solid appearance and moist enamel; the celadon pot of the Ming Longquan Kiln is light and beautifully decorated.
Compared with the Wulin Museum Area where the collections are concentrated in one building, the buildings in the Gushan Museum Area are richer. Exhibition areas with different themes are distributed in different buildings. While appreciating the collections, you can always feel the beauty of art. In addition, the beautiful scenery of the West Lake just wants people to stop here.
The exhibition hall of "Ruixiang Re-Ming-Leifeng Pagoda Cultural Relics Exhibition" in the Gushan Museum Area is one of the most popular exhibition halls. The collapse and reconstruction of Leifeng Pagoda attracted much attention. This place not only restored the archaeological site, but also showed The treasure in the ancient tower unveils the mystery to people.
The magical tower among towers is gilded with gold and silver Ashoka Tower is naturally the treasure of the Gushan Museum District. This tower was specially built for Leifeng Pagoda when the last monarch of the State of Wuyue began to build Leifeng Pagoda in 972. Later, archaeologists unearthed it from the underground palace. Nowadays, it seems that the tower is formed of pure silver hammered and carved with hollow carvings. Behind the shining light, there seems to be endless legendary stories hidden.
