This is a short holiday during the Dragon Boat Festival, and our family of four gathered from all directions to Changsha South Railway Station. After getting off work, we set off from our departure point. By the time we actually met, it was almost Dragon Boat Festival. It was late but very happy.
Because I arrived late the night before, I stayed at a hotel near the South Railway Station. After breakfast in the morning, we dragged our luggage to Duhua Station and took the subway to Furong Square. The hotel we booked that day is here. It is not far from the subway station and pedestrian street, and the transportation is relatively convenient. My parents checked into a B & B again, hahaha. After putting down our luggage and taking a simple rest, we took a taxi to the first stop of the day-Yuelu Mountain.
There are many historical sites in Yuelu Mountain, including the famous Yuelu Academy, Aiwan Pavilion, etc. The mountains are lush with trees, and ancient and famous trees can be seen everywhere. Every December, it becomes a place to admire red leaves. The scenic area has two entrances: Nandaemun and Dongdaemun (also known as Beidaemun). Most cultural attractions are close to Nandaemun.
We chose to take a sightseeing bus from Nandaemun to and from the top of the mountain. The top of the mountain can overlook our second stop, Juzizhou. Yuelu Academy, Aiwan Pavilion, Hunan University, and Dongfanghong Square are all at the foot of Yuelu Mountain. After going down the mountain, visit it along the road. Visiting Yuelu on the Dragon Boat Festival, reading Quzi, knowing your aspirations and love, has a unique flavor.
After coming down Yuelu Mountain, we took the subway to Juzizhou. In Changsha's weather, rain comes and goes quickly. It rained heavily when I first left the subway station, but after a while, it became much lighter.
Juzizhou is located in the Xiangjiang River in Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces water on one side. The island is long and narrow. It is a Jiangzhou Scenic Area formed by the loop of Xiangjiang River water and the silted accumulation of sediment. The construction structure of Juzizhou is planned as "one axis and four zones". One axis is the tourism axis running through the north and south. Among them, the four zones are core scenic spots, tourism supporting service areas, beach parks, and water sports areas. Attractions are mainly built around the theme of "ecology, culture, tourism and leisure", including Zhoutou Song Orange Pavilion, Han Bai Poetry Monument, Bronze Statue Square, Tengjia Square, Chairman Mao's Journey to the Xiangjiang River Memorial Site, Lanyue Pavilion, Zhenjiang Pavilion, Bonsai Garden, Gate Square and other attractions. Because most of the exhibition halls were closed when we went there, we took a small train to watch the sculpture of young Chairman Mao's head, rested in the Wangjiang Pavilion, and pointed out the mountains and rivers in the distance.
In the evening, my parents and I rested first at the Fat Hotel. My husband and I walked Taiping Old Street, Pozi Street, Huangxing Road, and the hotel 14 kilometers away. Along the way, we tasted the Wuqi Stinky Tofu, Huo Palace (Pozi Street Main Store), Mei Cai Bun Pork, etc., etc., as well as the must-drink tea in Changsha. I stayed in Changsha for less than three days, with the rhythm of two or three cups a day. Find out about Youlan latte and Shengsheng oolong. They are all delicious.
After a night's rest, the Buddhist day began. Because the B & B has a projection screen, I didn't go out after watching a movie "My Girls 'Generation" at the B & B. Are there few people like us who are in a hurry and are not in a hurry?
The express train is very close to the Hunan Province Museum. The Hunan Province Museum has a collection of more than 180,000 cultural relics, especially the cultural relics unearthed from the Han tombs in Mawangdui, Shang and Zhou bronzes, Chu cultural relics, ceramics of the past dynasties, calligraphy and painting, and modern cultural relics are the most distinctive. We spent almost five hours in the museum, which is a place where everyone is recommended to check in. Since then, I haven't been to a place, and I have become accustomed to visiting museums in other places.
Dinner was settled in an Internet celebrity store-Yi Dian Dian Lan. At 4 p.m., we joined the queue, to be precise, the queue for food + the queue for tea color. The local Hunan food in Hunan is extremely spicy, but the chefs will show mercy to everything you eat in Guangdong.
After dinner, I took a walk in the rain, and Fei B & B picked up my luggage. I was going to live at Changsha South Railway Station that night.
Taking the high-speed train back to Guangdong early in the morning, my father returned to his hometown alone and couldn't help but sigh at the sadness of parting. The trip to Changsha was short but fruitful. Sometimes, the greatest distance is not physical, but mental. I am willing to break through the boundaries of my heart and everything will be well. Looking forward to my next trip!
