Chengdu has always been a city that can move people's hearts.

Those who have been to Chengdu, or those who have never been to Chengdu; those who grew up in Chengdu, or those who have traveled through Chengdu in a hurry; it is hard to deny that Chengdu, the land, has its unique temperament.

Before starting to write this travel note, I suddenly realized that I had a long-lost feeling with Chengdu.

It may be because of YQ that I have fewer days walking around the streets in Chengdu than before; or it may be because I haven't experienced Chengdu well for a long time.

Red walls and blue tiles are Chengdu's unique charm.

Walking on the streets of Chengdu, it seems that everyone knows each other before them, and every smile contains goodwill.

There are many museums in Chengdu, but many people must have never heard of this museum. The history of Sichuan cuisine, various snacks, production experience, leisure and entertainment, you can spend a quiet day here.

Nowadays, there are more and more bookstores in Chengdu. Bookstores are constantly making breakthroughs and innovating in terms of design, scale, and theme. They have been to more than a dozen distinctive bookstores, large and small. If you like to visit bookstores, Chengdu's bookstores can allow you to stay for a few days.

In the newly discovered market neighborhood at the East Gate of Chengdu, the decoration style of the Republic of China is more niche and quieter than the wide and narrow alleys.

With the street culture of publicity, young people in Chengdu have found a skateboarding paradise in the bustling Taikoi

Chengdu's long-lost food has mushroomed everywhere after the epidemic. There is never a lack of this reason to go to Chengdu!

Check-in Cave Bookstore, spiral stairs beyond the piece

A bookstore that was extremely popular some time ago became popular on the Internet as soon as it opened. It is in Mengzhui Bay, not far from Taikoo Li.

The entrance looks very inconspicuous, but after entering, it has a unique place.

As soon as you enter the door, not far from the left side is the store's most distinctive spiral staircase.

The spiral staircase spirals, and it is very good whether it is looking down from top to bottom or shooting up from bottom to bottom at night. The underground cave is designed with an industrial style and is very impressive.
The bookstore has three floors in total. The second floor has a bar for drinks, and the third floor is a handicraft (including paintings and handicrafts) and small objects selling area

The ancient wooden tables and wooden chairs in Chengdu have a touch of fragrance when walking among them. Sitting by the window upstairs and reading, an afternoon can pass quietly ~

Store name: Geometry Bookstore
Address: Wangping Binhe Road, Mengzhui Bay (next to Tai Koo Li)
Transportation: Line 2 Dongmen Bridge Subway Station
🕒Opening hours: 10:00~22:00
Points to note: There are more people who come to take photos and check in. Practice staff go or go when the bookstore opens and closes.

A museum where you can eat, make sure you haven't been there

I have been to museums large and small in Chengdu, but I had hardly heard of the one I introduced today before I decided to go. When I heard that there was a Sichuan cuisine museum in Chengdu, I had many question marks like the children. Can you build a museum for food? Is there much food in it?

This name feels a bit magical. I have never been there after living in Chengdu for so long. In the past two months, I finally had the opportunity to check in with my friends to this mysterious museum.

"The name of the panda and the taste of Sichuan cuisine are two treasures of Sichuan."

--Sodan Somoki (Executive Director of the World Tourism Organization, UNWTO)

If you come to Chengdu and want to avoid Chengdu, where the public tastes are authentic, then the Sichuan Cuisine Museum will be a good place for you.

The museum is divided into a collection hall, an interactive demonstration hall, a tea tasting leisure hall, a stove king temple, a Sichuan cuisine raw material processing tool display area, a Sichuan cuisine raw material display area, and a soul of Sichuan cuisine-Pi County watercress traditional craft display area, etc.

The first thing we came to was the collection hall, where there would be a young lady who would explain it to us for free, and the explanation would be particularly detailed.

The collection hall has an area of 12000 square meters. It displays more than 3000 Sichuan cuisine utensils from the Warring States Period to the modern era. These collections can be divided into cooking utensils, food containers, wine utensils, dining utensils, tea sets. In addition, the collection also includes text introductions, books, drawings, etc. related to Sichuan cuisine.

This is a kimchi jar from the Guan kiln during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The commentator said that it was the treasure of the Zhen Guan.

In addition, the museum also stores a "Sichuan cuisine genre map", which combs the historical origins and styles of the development of Sichuan cuisine and restores the development context and cultural inheritance of the entire Sichuan cuisine.

Then we came to the Sichuan Cuisine Raw Materials Exhibition Area. Since the museum is in Pi County, Pi County Douban naturally cannot be missed.

We came to the watercress drying market. The commentator said that the longer the watercress is dried, the better, but the longest time will not exceed 4 years, and the color will become darker and darker.

There is a Douban Canteen Shop in Pi County nearby. Take one back to Bashi!

Next to the Douban drying market, there are many snacks to eat. As long as you give the tickets, you will be free!

Including more than 20 kinds of snacks such as Chengdu Dandan noodles, cold noodles, jelly noodles, and roasted sweet potatoes. I definitely eat Bashi, and it tastes very good. I think it is even better than restaurants outside!
You can add any seasoning you like on the table. Although the sun is shining, it's quite cool to sit here. I chatted with my friends and said that I can bring my family here for a day in the future. It's machine tea, various snacks, a quiet environment, and you can also visit various cultural relics exhibits ~

This is a small teahouse, a place where you can play cards, drink tea and chat. Isn't it amazing that this kind of thing can still appear in museums?

Respecting the Kitchen King in the Kitchen King Temple is an integral part of Sichuan folk culture. Among the people, the Kitchen King is in charge of his duties. God speaks good things and peace is guaranteed in the lower world.

The on-site demonstration of Sichuan cuisine skills and watched a master use a kitchen knife weighing several kilograms to blindfold the dough and cut it into threads that could be threaded with needles. It was so awesome!

The small ones are hidden in the wild, the big ones are hidden in the city, the way home in a city

Hidden in the wild, small and large in the city, separated from the hustle and bustle of Tai Koo Li is the quiet Chongde Li in the old courtyard.

In the inconspicuous alley, the sentence "A city's way home" on the wall made me curious and went in to find out.

Chongdeli was designed by Chengdu artist Wang Hai. After staying in Hong Kong for more than 20 years, Wang Hai returned to Chengdu to transform his old house into the present Chongdeli.

The former residential structure in western Sichuan has now been transformed into a living space to enjoy slow life. This century-old house is quietly in a corner of the city, exuding its unique charm.

I can't believe there is such a quiet place in the noisy urban area. Making a cup of tea and picking up a book is really a rare tranquility.

The reason why it is called "a city's road home" may be because local residents have passed through this narrow alley for a century, or perhaps it is because its narrow space has survived in a rapidly developing city. People may still remember that this is a road to the alley that we walked through when we came. It inherits the tradition of Chengdu and gives new life. It has lasted forever over the years.

Chengdu and teenagers, cool and fashionable street culture

In fact, I have passed by here many times, but every time I will stop and watch for a while. I don't know why, but it can relax the mood.

Many people only know that Taikoli on Chunxi Road is just a place to stroll and buy, but they don't know that there is a beautiful scenery nearby, which is the skateboarder boy in Chengdu.

Skateboarding is an important part of Chengdu's street culture. Nowadays, more and more young people are joining the skateboarding army, making Chengdu's streets more colorful.

The colorful graffiti and the fashionable teenagers are the coolest ones in the city.

There is a venue specially provided for skateboarding enthusiasts in the Daci Temple Skateboarding Youth Community next to Tai Koo Li. The magic thing lies in the bustling place in the center of the city. It has to be said that it is a miracle that there is such a venue on the street.

A vibrant city is composed of energetic people. Looking at their enthusiasm and persistence, tired hearts can be melted and continue to give people the strength to move forward.

The fusion of old and new in the city, about its past and present

With the development of the city, more and more old buildings began to be slowly demolished, but in order to retain traces of old Chengdu, many old factories were renovated and preserved.

For example, the U37 Creative Warehouse was originally the warehouse of Chengdu Pharmaceutical Group; the Dongjiao Memory was originally the state-owned Hongguang Electronic Tube Factory; and the 1906 Creative Factory was originally the People's Liberation Army's 7322 Factory.

I believe everyone is familiar with the example given above, so this time I would like to introduce you to a particularly niche creative factory called "Wuli Creative Factory".

Wuli Creative Factory is the first creative factory on the West Gate of Chengdu. The dilapidated factory building that has gone through time has been reborn during the renovation and transformed into a new fashionable landmark.

Wuli Creative Factory is located at No. 40 Huapaifang Street. It was formerly the state-owned Chengdu Sanjiang Shoe Factory. It is an old factory with a history of seventy to eighty years and is famous for its handmade "Sanjiang" cloth shoes. In 2010, Sanjiang Cloth Shoes announced the closure of the last cloth shoes.

The factory moved here in the early 1970s and has never been moved again. Old-fashioned scissors, hammers, slate worktables, and the shoe factory are full of traces of vicissitudes left by time. In 2010, the craftsmen left and the last shoe factory in Chengdu closed.

Six years later, the abandoned factory was put on new clothes and stood in front of everyone with a young look. The gray and black brick houses decorated with orange pipes are full of urban industrial style and artistic sense.

With secluded alleys and half-open iron gates, although the factory has been transformed into a creative park, some memories of old factories can still be retrieved here.

You can also see a variety of interesting and fun posters here, which look messy but thought-provoking.

These former old factories in Chengdu have become a good place for urban Internet celebrities to check in and take photos. These old factories that have undergone transformation have not only left historical memories of the past years of hard work, but also brought the vitality of the integration of the old and the new to the city.

about accommodations

Now it seems that when staying in hotels, young people and people who like to travel will choose to stay in B & Bs. Although the themed B & Bs have rich and diverse housing, they can do laundry and cook like home... However, it is located in the downtown area, not to mention the location of B & Bs. Very far away, even if there is, there will be no peace and cosy, so business travel is the first choice, and the human touch of business hotels in the details makes people more heart-warming!

I would choose to stay at Jinjiang Inn Consulate District Sichuan Hotel. Why would I choose this hotel? With high-quality service attitude, Jinjiang Inn is also a national chain, making you feel safe and secure. It is also worth mentioning that parking at his home is free. Among the few hotels with few parking spaces on this street, this is a highlight. Friends traveling on a road trip can consider it.

Authentic LESHAN Bobo Chicken, I will bring friends from other places to eat it every time

What to eat when bringing friends from other places to Tai Koo Li is a big issue for many friends. It is better to consider the Po Po Chicken in Tai Koo Li. It is really cheap, delicious, authentic, and cost-effective. I will bring friends here every time to eat!

In Taikoi, where every inch of land is precious, there are really not many shops that can be so affordable. I am very conscientious! It is next to the Bosher Hotel. Although it is located in Tai Koo Li, it is obviously much quieter and avoids the lively streets.

Walking into the store, it is completely different from the traditional Bo Bo chicken shop. It feels refreshing. The tables and chairs are all wood color, and it is very clean and comfortable at first glance.

I like the decoration of this house so much. In summer, I am very relaxed while eating bowl chicken while chatting and drinking with friends.

The dishes at Mother-in-law Ye's house are all very fresh, never overnight, and she always insists on using a one-time label and pot bottom. This is why I come here often.

Select a string, then press the number card according to the station number and taste card, and serve the food quickly and accurately. I have to say that the service and efficiency of Grandma Ye's house are great.

Bowo chicken is divided into two flavors, red oil and rattan pepper. The spicy taste of red oil and the fresh hemp of rattan pepper must be ordered every time to satisfy it.

The red oil is accompanied by sesame seeds, and the spicy flavor is scattered in the air before it starts to be eaten. The appetite is full of excitement. The cooking aroma of peppers and the aroma of sesame seeds are enough to satisfy your taste buds.

Rattan pepper is also good. Green rattan pepper makes people feel cool. It has both spicy and sesame flavors, making it more enjoyable to eat together.

The signature chicken soup rice must be ordered. It is very light and spicy. The chicken soup is very fresh and there is a lot of chicken. It is very delicious when it is hot.

I like Grandma Ye, who is always delicious and cheap, so much!
