The wine curtain invites the bright moon, and the wind dews through the window screens.
In late spring and early summer, looking out to the west through the city's towering glass buildings, a red glow hanging westward sends a signal: Let's go have some fun.
Chengdu people's travel plans are like chasing seasonal birds, while the west gathers the essence of the basin. Putting aside the vast beautiful scenery of western Sichuan, there are countless fun within a 2-hour journey.
Starting from Chengdu and heading west, passing through Chongzhou and Qionglai, it is the Pujiang River. After checking in Chongzhou and Qionglai, we decided to visit the legendary Internet celebrity village, which is also the most well-known one in Pujiang, Mingyue Village.
Five years in the blink of an eye
Five years ago, Mingyue Village was a little-known village, as quiet as countless ordinary rural areas. Fortunately,"art" and "enthusiasm" discovered this place. The inheritance and development of Mingyue Kiln and blue dye, the coexistence of Xinpai B & B and the small courtyard in western Sichuan, and the stretching of tea trees between the greenways...
In the past five years, Mingyue Village seems to have never had a fixed model, but it has become a place where Chengdu people aspire to live on weekends.
When we arrived at Mingyue Village, it was a sunny noon. We rolled down the window and plunged into the air with the fragrance of bamboo shoots. The freshly picked tea garden still retains the scent of young leaves. When you bend down, you can hear the wind shuttling through it.
I remembered that during the summer vacation more than ten years ago, because of a game of hide-and-seek, I rushed into a stranger's yard with my friends, and was scratched all over the flowers.
It doesn't seem suitable for rushing to check in here. The simple but slightly confusing road sign gives everyone the opportunity to explore Mingyue Village. It also hides many surprises on the road. Trust me, while you are in Mingyue Village, please close your eyes, forget about ordinary trivial matters, and be an ordinary villager.
The 48 hours in Mingyue Village just flashed in the blink of an eye...
"Daylight"/Tea Garden·Greenway: Don't let down in the morning
In the morning in Mingyue Village, although there is no "deer chirping", you can still hear birds chirping in the water stream. I never thought I could "occupy" an entire greenway alone, change ways to have fun, and take back the comfort I owe from those miserable days in one go.
Those who get up early include tea pickers in the tea garden. The tea garden in Mingyue Village looks exquisite and lovely from the top down. From the tender buds down, the gradually deeper green color forms a shade that cannot be penetrated by the sun.
The tea pickers have quick eyes and quick hands. They will take away any buds when they arrive. In the small bamboo basket around their waist, the taste of fresh buds is brewing, leaving a signal for us between the ups and downs.
/Blue dye: Blue is picked at the end of the day, and no one will win
The saying in the Book of Songs,"Pick blue at the end of the dynasty, without a single grain of wine" makes blue dye, which has a history of nearly 3000 years, sound so far-reaching, but when your fingers touch the silk fabrics swaying in the wind, your forehead is filled with The smell of vegetable dye, I become so close again.
Mingyue Village is famous for its blue dyeing. It is a "game" that must not be missed and may even be addictive-immerse the tight pure white cloth into a heavily colored dye vat, and through continuous and full massage, let the dye invade. Every trace of space in the cloth, and then use the power of oxidation to color it in a unique blue.
The most addictive thing about blue dye is that you can never guess what you drew before unfolding the white paper.
There are many "blue dye" studios in Mingyue Village, and both "Qingdai" and "Lan Ran" are quite popular. In the "Lan Ran" workshop, there is an elder sister of an intangible cultural heritage inheritor who smiles and guides the frightened tourists standing in front of the dye vat every day.
In the huge dye vat are dyes that can give souls. The smell made of grass and grass runs deep into the nostrils and into the soul, which is unforgettable.
Under the guidance of my eldest sister, I gained the first blue dye in my life. Although the taste of grass and vegetable dyes became very good, I still gained long-lost happiness.
As we gradually get used to pleasing ourselves at a fast pace, an accidental surprise seems extremely precious.
Nowadays, blue dye no longer just stays between square inches of cloth, but has also been made into a variety of gadgets, from basic clothing to backpack pendant toys, and from simple "blue" to "Colorful", which is also an inheritance for traditional culture to better spread all over the world.
In the "Lan Ran" workshop, there was also a slightly shy uncle. While we were chatting in front of the dyeing vat, he began to stir up a pot of sweet tea.
Upon asking, I realized that these in the pot were not precious and precious varieties, but freshly harvested bamboo shoots shells.
The crisp and tender bamboo shoots were put on the dining table, and the originally discarded bamboo shoots also had a new place. Under the uncle's light movements, the smell of summer was scattered all over the yard.
/Tao·Kiln: The memory that solidifies the earth
Mingyue Kiln, which had not been burned for 300 years, extinguished the kiln fire before the devastating disaster in 2008.
Mingyue Village is famous for its pottery, one of which comes from the orthodox blood.
Qionglai's Qiong Kiln is one of the oldest ceramic kilns in Sichuan with the richest works and the most beautiful shapes and decorations. The nearby Mingyue Village naturally inherits this unique craft.
Today, when we are all pursuing the spirit of craftsmanship, the ceramics fired by Qiongyao's traditional craftsmanship have a certain historical heritage.
If it weren't for the earthquake in 2008, Mingyue Kiln might still be continuing its century-old fire. It is precisely because it is one of the few "living Qiong Kilns" that it is even more precious.
After a whole year of fine restoration, the old kiln has "retired" and has become a treasure of Mingyue Village. An area for tourists to experience and an exhibition hall for the display of ceramic utensils have been built in front of Mingyue Kiln, allowing tourists to see the glory of Mingyue Kiln. One side.
Another thing that makes Mingyue Village pottery famous is its artistic connotation.
The Shushan Kiln created by Mr. Li Qing, a master of art in the Chinese industrial and artistic industry, and the Huohen Chai Kiln Workshop created by pottery artist and designer Liao Tianlang have added a lot of freshness to traditional ceramic utensils ~
The wooden fence and small door of the "Shushan Small Building" separates this handicraft workshop from the hustle and bustle outside. In the courtyard, a few stone slabs lead people to several old houses, which display some ceramic utensils with simple design and superb craftsmanship. Under the glass roof next to it is the Shushan Kiln Ceramics Art Museum with the theme of "Living Museum".
For ordinary tourists, in addition to seeing a novelty, the most important thing here is to experience turning pottery embryos into pottery for yourself.
Under the teacher's guidance, a few simple gestures can be used to push out a tea bowl. With a little force, it will turn into a pottery cup. The lines will be softened here, the corners will be rounded there, and then the power of sunlight will be relied on to take away the excess moisture, and the pottery waiting to be sent into the kiln looks simple and exquisite.
Just wait for a stove of orange-red to burn, and you will glow with a unique color.
/Tea: Half a cup of tea moistens an inch
"In the wild spring, fireworks, and white clouds, sit and drink fragrant tea and love this mountain." When the sun weakens, it is the most enjoyable moment of the day, and Mingyue Village also welcomes the gentlest time of the day.
Don't think that the life of the "villagers" is just a cup of tea. Those new and Western-style things are not bad here ~
"Encounter" is probably the last place you want to "become popular". James, who has high expectations for quality, personally served the English afternoon tea, which made us feel exquisite among the villages.
This white and large-area glass building is a place where many tourists are keen to check in to take photos. The excessive traffic of people also makes "encounters" difficult to "encounter".
He had high demands on himself and also high demands on "encounters", which made James have to decline some inappropriate requests in order to make "encounters" appear in a better state.
In the afternoon of the "encounter", we didn't do anything. We just leaned against the large floor-to-ceiling window and looked at the children and dogs rolling happily on the lawn. Some colorful bubbles naturally grew in our hearts.
Like all other places in Mingyue Village, the door with "clouds" is not eye-catching. You can only find this house by looking down a few steps.
"There is a cloud" tea is very popular. When I was hesitating how to order in front of the counter, the little sister next to me blurted out that their ice cream was delicious ~
Strolling is often the most exhausting thing. It is aimless and has no destination. We call the little girl who can deliver tea in time a fairy ~
The fatigue accumulated from most of the long journey was zero with the buff addition of a glass of ice cream, an ice cream and a large mouthful of cheesecake. I also began to do what the little sister did, telling the hesitant customers that the ice cream was delicious.
In contrast,"Cherry Garden" is much more reserved.
The beauty of the cherry garden is in the "sky" and you can see nothing special when you look straight up, but when you climb up to the connected roofs, you can only find it wonderful-at the end of April, the flowers on the branches have been exhausted, and the tea garden has been picked. One crop after another, the remaining dark green and the white walls of the cherry garden have become a minimalist meticulous painting.
In 2010, Hetang Cherry Garden, founded by Xiong Ying, decided to move to Mingyue Village in 2018. The distance from Chengdu became 80 kilometers. Step by step, he retreated to the Cherry Garden in the depths of the day, but in Mingyue Village, he opened up new colors.
In spring, those dedicated flowers spread their skirts. In summer, vines cover the garden on the roof with greenery. In autumn, wine is brewed in the cherry garden. The aroma of fermentation should be intoxicating, right?
As for winter, you can curl up into the warm quilt, drink all the few remaining home wine in one gulp, and then cut some sausage bacon, and you can be very happy.
"Dark Night"/Sleep: Good dreams every night keep people asleep
There is only one sound in the village at night-silence.
The lively "Encounter" and "Cherry Garden" during the day have all turned off the volume, and there are no frogs chirping in the fields in early summer. An uninterrupted night is the most precious time of the holiday.
"Know" is the "deep courtyard" in Mingyue Village. The hidden design of the garden blocks its entrance behind the shade of trees. A blocking wooden wall on the roadside leaves only a few small windows for those interested to pay attention.
Entering it along the small bridge and flowing water, it is quiet and comfortable, and the footsteps become quiet. The room next to the tea garden is dotted with the surprises of Mingyue Village: blue dye handicrafts, exquisite ceramic utensils, and ubiquitous bamboo art all make people read simplicity in exquisiteness.
Those girls who yearned for opening flower shops when they were young gradually fell in love with grocery stores, because it was better to let them settle down than to see time go by. Moreover, being able to accurately find what you want from a complicated shop is a wonderful superpower in my eyes.
The room in the nameless and simple residence is reserved for destined guests. The design is not luxurious and retains maximum contact with nature. It is only 2 steps away from getting up to the tea garden. Before I can wake up, I have entered the next journey.
This alone may make it a little boring at night. I learned from a night conversation with the villagers that the music bar in Mingyue Village is about to open. On a small hillside surrounded by trickling water, simple steel frames support the glass houses. The posters of Beatles and suede are on a big scale and have a flavor.
Before saying goodbye the next day, we went to dig a few bamboo shoots. Although they were no longer the crispy and tender taste in early summer, we could bring them back to the city and reminisce more. Let's say the comfort brought by Mingyue Village.
