Chengdu is life itself
A photographer once said: "When you come to Chengdu, you no longer envy anywhere." Before I came to Chengdu, I had countless definitions and fantasies about it: lazy, leisurely, comfortable, slow-paced... But after arriving in Chengdu, all the labels were not enough to define the city. Because "Chengdu" is life itself.
City Walk is more like a slow trip through the city. You don't need to check in to various attractions according to the schedule. Instead, walking through the streets of the city, discovering small shops in the alleys, looking for authentic food on the streets, and trying to live in the city in the way of local people.
Wide and narrow alleys and courtyards still have ancient charm
When it comes to the place that best represents Chengdu, the wide and narrow alleys must be ranked high. Although Kuanzhai Alley is becoming increasingly commercial, there is nothing wrong with it. If it did not attract more people's attention, will today's Kuanzhai Alley still be protected? This is just one way to protect traditional cultural buildings from being destroyed.
In fact, wide and narrow alleys are the collective name of wide alleys, narrow alleys and well alleys. This is a street pattern composed of three alleys arranged in parallel, with a long history. It is said that this was once an ancient street in the Qing Dynasty, but it gradually became a landmark in Chengdu after undergoing restoration. In Chengdu, Kuanzhai Alley, together with Daci Temple and Wenshu Temple, is called "Chengdu's Three Major Historical and Cultural Cities Protected Districts", which shows the cultural heritage of this place.
The architectural styles here are all antique courtyards made of indigo bricks and tiles. This architectural style is related to the Manchu royal family in the Qing Dynasty. It is said that Manchu troops were once stationed here and many courtyard-style buildings were built. At that time, the wide alley was called Xingren Hutong, the narrow alley was called Taiping Hutong, and the Jing alley was called Ruyi Hutong. Later, it was renamed Alley.
Although the street shape here is still in the same line as the hutong streets and alleys in the north, it still continues the style of Western Sichuan folk houses in the Qing Dynasty in terms of more styles and designs. It is a peaceful and leisurely style. Walking in the wide and narrow alleys, looking at the antique buildings and the small characters densely engraved on the stone tablets, a sense of history arises spontaneously. Moreover, a large number of green plants are planted in many courtyard houses, and the green greenery is transmitted through the door openings.
If you are visiting Chengdu for the first time, you must experience the ancient charm of Kuanzhai Alley. Walking around in small alleys, there is always a place worth staying.
Yuanyang Tower·Time stays in the last century
Yuanyang Building, an old residential building built in the 1970s and 1980s, is located in Community No. 18 Hongwa Street near Sichuan University. Because of its unique retro architectural environment, Chengdu has now become a photo resort.
Why is it named Yuanyang Building? Part of the reason is that the entire building is symmetrical, with leaking staircases in a zigzag shape at both ends of the building, and residential buildings are symmetrically distributed on both sides. Part of the reason is said to be that at first, this was a dormitory for young single employees of Sichuan University, and most of the people living in it were young single men and women, so the name of Yuanyang Building came from this.
The Yuanyang Building used to be very lively, full of the fireworks atmosphere of the market. It was also like the workers 'compound in the north at that time, carrying childhood memories of the post-80s generation. Nowadays, the number of residents in Yuanyang Building has been greatly reduced, and more excitement comes from the tourists who come here to take photos. Times have changed, and young employees who once lived in it have moved away to places with a better living environment. Yuanyang Building once became a cheap rental house.
People come to Yuanyang Tower to take photos because they are also attracted by the retro style here. The simple houses, dilapidated walls, and old stairs all seem to tell the story of time. Walking here is like traveling through the last century. The only thing that can bring me back to reality is the shared bicycle downstairs.
When I first went to Yuanyang House, I was not as famous as I am now. There were only a few families and me in the whole building, which was very quiet. It's like walking into a different space from the last century, and everything you can see is full of memories. Curls of smoke come out of the rooms of several families, giving off the flavor of old Chengdu.
However, more and more people are coming here to take photos, which also disturbs the normal life of residents here to a certain extent. I just hope that everyone who goes here to take photos will pay attention to their words and deeds, not make loud noises to disturb residents, not littering, and not enter other people's rooms to take photos.
The photos taken here are all very storytelling. But as residents continue to move away, it is unknown how long this Yuanyang Building, which has existed for more than 40 years, will continue to maintain its appearance. Becoming a photo destination for Internet celebrities may be a new life, or it may be accelerating the relocation of residents. Only time will tell the answer.
Xicun Courtyard·Collective Community Combining Tradition and Modernization
Chengdu is a city with a strong cultural heritage and also exudes the vitality of modernization. The Xicun·Baisen Courtyard located at No. 1 Beisen North Road is the perfect combination of Chengdu's tradition and modernity. Bessen Courtyard is a very distinctive modern community in Chengdu that integrates sports and leisure, culture, art, fashion and creativity. It is also a good place for Chengdu City Walk.
The compound is a complete street with a length of 237 meters from east to west and 178 meters from north to south, covering an area of about 42,000 square meters. It has a C-shaped semi-enclosed layout, with the street on all sides and surrounded by houses. The entire community is mature and full of characteristics. It is said that the designer of the compound borrowed the spatial prototype of the collective residential compound of units in the planned economy era. And use modern architectural design methods to create such a community with collectivist ideals like Besson Courtyard. There are continuous balconies inside the surrounding buildings, and every user can share the courtyard landscape.
The compound is centered on three football fields, one 7-a-side football field and two 5-a-side football fields. Surrounded by a wide C-shaped corridor, it meets both leisure and sports needs. This semi-enclosed architectural structure gives people a sense of community security and does not have the loneliness of living in a city. Walking along the aisles in my spare time and watching the players running on the court is not a way to relax in life. It turns out that Chengdu people really understand the way of life.
The compound also combines Chengdu's local culture well. Objects such as bamboo and teahouses that are representative of Chengdu are well integrated into the building. Especially in the creation of "bamboo space","full garden bamboo" is used. Bamboo, a representative local plant of the farming culture and market life in the Chengdu Plain, also fully presents the leisurely and comfortable Chengdu temperament of the compound.
The biggest impression that the entire compound gives people is that the building is very design. The layout of the architectural space is not rigidly adhered to the format and is just right. It looks good no matter how you shoot it. An external staircase is embedded on the east and west sides, which is very design and adds several line beauty to the entire space. If you look carefully, you will find that these stairs are made of recycled materials, which are both aesthetic and environmentally friendly. Follow the stairs and you can also reach the top of the compound and enjoy the scenery of the entire compound.
It is enclosed on three sides, and the other side is used as an air runway. Different from ordinary runways, the runways here are three-dimensional and criss-crossed, forming a three-dimensional sports space. Whether it is the runway itself or the concept of a three-dimensional runway in the sky, they are both very characteristic of modern architecture.
Jiuyan Bridge·Representative of Chengdu nightlife
If Chengdu is a leisurely and wise old man during the day, you are just waiting for you to slowly savor his story. Then at night, there is a vibrant young man, exuding his full youth. If you want to ask where to experience Chengdu's nightlife, Jiuyan Bridge is definitely the only answer.
Today's Jiuyan Bridge is not just the simple name of a bridge, but the general name of an area in Chengdu, which represents Chengdu's nightlife. You can watch the night view here or enjoy yourself in the bar.
Jiuyan Bridge is a must-check place for Chengdu's night view. The unique ancient bridge looks unique under the light. Many people will mistake the covered bridge for the Jiuyan Bridge. In fact, it is because the night view of the covered bridge is very beautiful and once appeared in urban tourism promotional videos in Chengdu, so it has been widely spread among the public and made people admit their mistakes.
Indeed, the night view of the covered bridge is very attractive. At night, the neon lights on the bridge turn on, and the whole bridge becomes the most dazzling scenery on the river. The Ming-style covered bridge looks unique under the warm yellow light, demonstrating the rich connotation of Chengdu, a famous historical and cultural city. The semicircular bridge hole and the reflection in the water set off each other, combining to form a complete ellipse, which seems to blur the boundary between the virtual and the real, making people feel like a world apart.
However, there is not only the night view of the covered bridge, but also the bars and leisurely young people everywhere. Jiuyanqiao Bar Street and Lan Kwai Fong Bar Street, whether it is a bar where friends gather and chat, or a bar where casual and free dancing, there is always a reason why people stay up late at night.
World Food Capital·My Food Notes
As we all know, Chengdu is a gourmet capital and a representative city of Sichuan cuisine. Chengdu is also the first city in China to be selected as the "World Food Capital" by UNESCO. When traveling to Chengdu, how can you not go shopping in the streets and find those authentic delicacies? In Chengdu, authentic food has never been found in a food street, but needs to be found in different places. Below are some of my food notes.
Yuan Ji Chuanchuanxiang·Taste in the Memory of Old Chengdu
Everyone who travels to Chengdu will go to Kuanzhai Alley to play, eat and drink. When it comes to the delicious food here, there are not many truly delicious food in Kuanzhai Alley, and more local favorite food are hidden nearby. Not far from the wide and narrow alleys, there is a Yuanji Chuanxiang family, which is a traditional taste in the memory of many Chengdu locals. My local friend has brought me here several times. He said that he has eaten this place since he was a child and that it is a hometown flavor that cannot be erased in his memory.
After so many years of operation, Yuan Ji has been constantly expanding and upgrading. The store and dishes have been upgraded, but the taste still maintains the tradition of his childhood. The environment incorporates authentic Chengdu traditions, with wooden tables and wooden benches, and festive red embellishments. The wallpaper on the wall also reminds people of Yuanji's incense strings on Beisi Street.
Take the skewers yourself. The dishes are very rich. The oversized freezer is full of skewers of various meat and vegetables. Some are marinated in advance to make them more delicious. The dishes are all very fresh ~
In addition to skewers, there are also some classic hot pot dishes. Tripe, duck sausage, lunch meat, etc. are all must-order standard for hot pot. When you cook them with skewers, you will be more enjoyable to eat! In addition, there are some peanuts, tremella soup, black rice porridge, etc. The dishes are super rich.
The bottom of the pot here is different from the spicy butter of the hot pot, but the spicy clear oil pan made from old Chengdu strings. It will not be very spicy, nor will it be easy to get angry. It is a taste acceptable to locals and foreign tourists, but it still retains its fresh aroma. Adding a little raw soup to the oil dish is the most suitable seasoning.
Of course, when eating skewers, you must start with meat dishes first ~
Spicy beef must be cooked in large quantities and not for too long. Because it has been marinated in advance, it tastes better. One bite after another, delicious, tender and smooth, super enjoyable!
Beef with folded ears. The delicate large piece of beef wraps the folded ears. After cooking, the folded ears are soft, glutinous and sweet, and the taste is richer. In addition, there are coriander beef and pickled pepper beef. The tender beef is wrapped in different side dishes, which is a rich collision of different flavors. It is super satisfying to eat in one bite ~
Spicy pork ribs are very big and have a lot of meat. They have been marinated in advance and need to be cooked for a longer time. The soft and glutinous meat comes down from the bones at once, leaving a lingering fragrance in the mouth.
I love chicken skin and pig skin so much that I eat a lot every time. After cooking, the chicken skin has a soft and tender taste, and I can't get enough of it. The pig skin should be cooked a little longer, the taste will be more Q and full of collagen ~
A large handful of meat skewers were put in, and they looked very appetizing.
You must also take a cup of sour plum juice when eating skewers. It is refreshing and soothing, and can also reduce the fire.
There is also exclusive Coca-Cola ~

Stewed Alliance Master Stewed Hot Pot·First time to eat hot pot cooked with ice cubes
There are thousands of hot pots in Chengdu, and it is not difficult to find a delicious hot pot. In order to attract diners, each hot pot restaurant also shows its own skills and is proficient in creative innovation. Have you ever eaten hot pot cooked with ice cubes? This is the first time I ate it in Chengdu. This hot pot shop called Lu Mingzhu Stewed Hot Pot was the first to create ice and stewed hot pot in Chengdu and has been liked by many people.
As soon as it opened, it attracted the attention of many people, including well-known stars, many Internet celebrities, and of course there were also diners.
The decoration is made of large pieces of red, which looks very Chinese. A large area of painting was made with an entire wall, which is in line with the enthusiastic style of the hot pot restaurant. The table top of the dining table is made into a small tile style, and even the iron pot for cooking hot pot is red, which makes people appetizing and becomes warmer in the cold winter.
There is a ceremony for drinking first tea before eating hot pot, which has a very Jianghu atmosphere. This stewed herbal tea tastes slightly sweet, relieves the spicy heat and becomes popular again.
The biggest feature of their family is the ice marinated hot pot, which means that the hot pot base and ice cubes are put together. It is said that adding ice cubes can maintain the taste of butter at the bottom of the pot and relieve boredom and dryness.
Wait for the ice cubes to slowly melt in the pan and cook slowly at low temperature to make the taste of the base material better emitted. The spices in the bottom of the pot gradually volatilized into a long fragrance. The waiting process is actually the process of gradually becoming fragrant and fragrant. This is the first time I have eaten a hot pot cooked with ice cubes. The taste is indeed special and the aroma is longer than the usual hot pot.
Moreover, different from the traditional butter hot pot base, the master stewed hot pot also adds a Sichuan-style cooking pot with the flavor of traditional stewed materials. This stewed taste mainly comes from spices and brine, which is more flavorful and relatively light.
The dishes here are all very fresh, and one of the must-order dishes is Fat Sausage. The name is really too domineering. It is called: Sword in the Jianghu. In fact, it's just stewed fat sausage cut into knots and strung with green and red peppers. It's really interesting. The fat sausage is delicious when boiled soft. It has a light stewed flavor and is also soft and glutinous Q bombs. Because it has been stewed before, it will be more delicious.
In addition, there are also basic hot pot products. Fat beef rolls, waist slices, duck intestines, tripe, of course, eating hot pot mainly consists of meat dishes!
The amount of duck sausage in his family is super large. It is actually filled in the cup he used to drink tea when he was a child (called "cup cup" in Sichuan dialect). The whole cup is full of it, and it is delicious enough to eat it. Rinse it up and down in the pot a few times. It is tender and crispy, and has a great taste.
Dragon fruit shrimp slippery, this is the first time I have eaten it. It's like a big red heart. I didn't expect dragon fruit and shrimp slip to match together. Because of the blessing of dragon fruit, the shrimp that comes out is smoother and tender, with the sweetness of the fruit. Well worth a try.
His family's stewed meat is also the highlight, including stewed chicken feet, stewed chicken gizzards, stewed pork ribs, stewed beef, and stewed pig's trotters. The portions are not large, so you can eat different stewed me. Stewed beef is recommended, which is very delicious. The beef was stewed soft and tasted great. Looking at this marinade, I want to pour it into white rice and eat it.
How can you eat hot pot in Chengdu without ice powder and glutinous rice dumplings? The ingredients inside are very rich, which relieves both spicy and greasy.

Banhua Malatang·Awakens everyone's childhood memories
If you want to eat delicious food in Chengdu, there are too many types to choose from. In addition to all kinds of hot pot, you can also eat skewers, malatang, fragrant pot, maocai, etc. Malatang is everywhere on the streets of Chengdu, but there are not many shops that can taste good and innovative. This time I went to a Malatang restaurant on the Chengdu Environmental List No. 1.
This restaurant, called Banhua Malatang, is closely related to the beautiful emotions of my student days. The decoration of their home is simply a replica of their student days, and every small element can be recalled in the past campus time.
There is a wall here with a red certificate of merit. It is an honor list specially set up for "class flowers". At first glance, it reminds people of their carefree student days and awakens their youth.
The decoration style here makes people feel like traveling through, restoring the old classroom from their student days.
There is also an old game console at the door.
I like the shop layout outside very much, the yellow-style old school bus inlaid in the wall. The slogan is quite touching: everyone is his class flower. I couldn't help but think of the female classmate I had once had a crush on in the past.
The Malatang skewers here are very similar to the ones I ate when I was a child. They are not greasy, but spicy and refreshing. There are many types of strings, such as large strings and small handles, and you can choose them at the counter.
Coriander beef, spicy beef, fat sausage, lotus root slices, potato chips, everything. Put a large amount into the pan and cook it for super flavor.
The beef must not be boiled for too long, the tender taste is just right. It is wrapped in the rich flavor of coriander, which is greasy and delicious.
In addition to skewers, there are also many choices of dishes. Lunch meat, crab legs, crab meat sticks, and mushroom mushrooms can be served directly into the pot.
The design of the dishes is also very interesting. They are made into the shape of the previous iron lunch box, oval and round, just like the school canteen when I was a child. In order to prevent oxidation of the fruit, plastic wrap is also attached, and the details are well done.
Don't miss the special dishes. There are many well-made specialty dishes here, which makes you very appetizing.
Quail eggs are highly recommended. Quail eggs are stewed in advance, and a thick layer of chili flour is sprinkled on a stack of eggs. It looks very appetizing, tastes okay, and is not particularly spicy.
The thousand-layer tripe is also an important point. Their thousand-layer tripe is very large. It is topped with a layer of chopped green onion and coriander, and some crispy peas are also added to enhance the fragrance. The thousand-layer tripe tastes very crispy, the seasoning is also very suitable, and the red oil is very fragrant.
Dry mixed hot pot noodles are my favorite. The hot pot noodles are very delicious and exciting to eat.
You should also take a duck head and a rabbit head to chew. Although there is not much meat, it is really super fragrant when you chew it, just to have a mouth addiction!
The favorite snack when I was a student was spicy strips (of course, it still is). The spicy strips here are homemade and have the same flavor as before. Salty brings fragrance, spicy brings sweetness.

Diandian Lane·Popular hot pot restaurant, authentic spicy Chengdu flavor
When it comes to what to eat in Chengdu, the first thing that comes to mind is definitely hot pot. Naturally, there is no need to say much about the love of Sichuan and Chongqing people for hot pot. If I don't eat for a long time, I feel uneasy. There are thousands of Chengdu hot pot. If you want to eat authentic Chengdu hot pot, of course, you have to find it in a crowded place.
Chunxi Road is the most famous commercial street in Chengdu, and there are not a few hot pot restaurants here. This Diandian Lane hot pot located on Chunxi Road is the most popular one. Both locals and tourists like to come here to enjoy it.
Diandian Lane Hotpot has many branches in Chengdu. This shop, which is opened on the second floor of Chunxi Road, has a bright and tidy environment, and the shop decoration is quite unique. The decoration restores the style of the canteen in the 1970s and 1980s, but without losing the aesthetics of young people. Fresh green small tiles are neatly laid on the wall. The combination of large green walls and white walls makes people return to their fathers 'era at a glance. Even the windows were made green, echoing the color of the walls, making it very eye-catching.
The bottom of the pot smells delicious. If you dip the plate, there is no extra seasoning, just sesame oil, mashed garlic and original soup. This is the most classic dipping ingredient for eating hot pot.
The ingredients here are not finely arranged, just an ordinary porcelain bowl or small iron basin is served, but the amount is very solid.
Next is the must-order dishes for hot pot. Both tender pork slices and tender beef are must-order. Rinse in the pot for a few seconds. The entrance will be smooth, tender and fragrant, and the taste is simple but delicious.
Tripe is also a must-order when eating hot pot. The tripe here is cut big enough, rinse it a few times in a red pot, and dip it in the garlic seasoning in the bowl and eat it together. Crispy and fragrant, the best partner for red pot is tripe!
Then there is the goose sausage. If the goose sausage is a whole piece, the waiter will help cut it into small pieces.
Rinse it in the pan a few times. When you fish it out, it will be crispy. It will taste a little softer than duck intestines and taste better.
It is the easiest to cook Xuewang. After the bottom of the soup boils, pour it directly into it and wait until it floats before it is ready to eat. It tastes super delicious and tastes very good. Gently open the chopsticks and eat with the dipping ingredients. It is tender and smooth. The taste is like eating egg custard, but the taste is much richer.
In addition, crab meat sticks and frog legs are great ingredients. Cooking hot pot is very delicious and worth ordering.
I didn't like to eat fat sausage when I was a child, but now I feel like I have been poisoned by fat sausage and I have to order every time I eat hot pot. The taste of the soft waxy Q-bomb, the combination of the pre-marinated aroma and the spicy taste of the bottom of the pot, makes me enjoy it!
You can also order a boneless chicken feet. When cooked soft, it will be really delicious. I personally like to eat chicken feet with bones removed. After all, I don't have to bother to spit out the bones. If you want vegetarian dishes, it's still up to your preferences. After all, eating hot pot and meat dishes is the right way!
The snacks here must order fried glutinous rice cake. This amount is not a lot, but each glutinous rice cake is very big and feels like eating dessert. Wrap it in egg liquid and then fry it will have an egg-like aroma. Dip it with soybean flour and eat it together. It still has a very novel taste and is a specialty snack of this house.

The Lutang Hot Spring Resort Hotel located in Mianzhu City allows people to travel to Chiang Mai, full of vacation style ~
It takes 1.5 hours to drive from Chengdu. When I arrived in Lutang Town, I obviously felt that the air was much fresher. I was away from the hustle and bustle of the city and lived the life I longed for two days. Lutang Hot Spring Resort Hotel is backed by green mountains, and the green environment itself is very good. The architectural style of the holiday style looks very comfortable and gives people the feeling of being on vacation abroad.

Experience Qiang culture and magnificent scenery in Jiuhuang Mountain
Tourism resources around Chengdu are very rich, with many good places to go, and it is also one of the first choices for Chengdu people to travel on weekends. Sichuan is a province with many ethnic minorities. Tibetans, Qiang, etc. all have their own settlements and their own unique cultural and folk characteristics. It is better to find a weekend to have a city escape plan, go to Jiuhuang Mountain to soak in hot springs, catch a Qiang wedding, and understand the cultural characteristics of the Qiang people.
Xiqiang Jiuhuang Mountain is located in Beichuan, Mianyang, Sichuan, and the scenic spot is a national AAAA scenic spot. This is a great place to learn about and experience the Qiang culture and customs around Chengdu. Find a weekend with friends, soak in hot springs, watch the scenery, catch a Qiang New Year, and attend an authentic Qiang wedding.
We got up early and drove from Chengdu to Jiuhuang Mountain. Park your car in the parking lot at the foot of the mountain and take the cableway directly up the mountain from the visitor center. This is the second time I have taken such a cableway, a small cableway that can only accommodate two people. The cable car will not stop, so getting on the cable car requires jumping on the cable car in one go, which is a little thrilling.
As the cable car goes up, it is surrounded by dense vegetation, and you can feel the freshness of the air. Looking out the window, you can see layers of mountains in the distance. The clouds and mist have dissipated, and you can still vaguely see the snowy mountains in the distance.
The terminal point of the cableway is Xiqiang Square, where there are Xiqiang hotels for accommodation and dining, venues for Sarang parties, and alpine hot springs for relaxation and decompression. If you are going up the mountain, it would be good to use this as a transit point. After completing the tour, it is the most comfortable choice to finally come here to soak in the hot spring.
Continuing up is the first stimulation event, the alpine slide. This is not only a play event, but also a way of transportation up the mountain. But going up and down are completely different exciting experiences. The slide up the mountain climbs slowly, allowing you to slowly appreciate the scenery on both sides. The slide down the mountain is all downhill, and the slide slides down quickly, giving it an exciting feeling like a roller coaster.
Then walk for a while and you reach another cableway place. You can imagine that Jiuhuang Mountain is really a steep mountain. There are also some places selling snacks on this gentle slope, and you can also see local specialties, bacon, etc. I bought a local specialty roasted sausage, which tasted quite good.
·Catch a Qiang New Year
Take the second cableway up and you will reach the core tourist area of Jiuhuang Mountain. It was the Qiang New Year when we went. The Qiang people here were celebrating the arrival of the New Year and welcomed tourists. People wearing Qiang national costumes gathered on both sides of the gate, singing songs and beating musical instruments to welcome tourists to celebrate the Qiang New Year.
The locals enthusiastically tied us with red ropes representing good luck in the New Year.
The clothes of the Qiang people are very distinctive, and the exquisite printed embroidery looks very good when woven on the clothes. Although the headdress is not as rich as Miao silver ornaments, it is also beautiful and has practical functions.
It can be seen from the word "Qiang" that the totem of the Qiang people is sheep. Their costumes, totems and walking sticks all have sheep elements.
At 11 o'clock, the Qiang New Year celebrations officially began. It mainly focuses on sacrifices, thanking the gods for their protection of the Qiang people over the past year and praying for protection in the coming year. Before the procession began, priests and young people from the tribe would dance around the sacrifices.
Then came the procession, dressed in gorgeous costumes. He also sang Qiang songs celebrating the New Year. The mountains are full of their excitement and singing. We are really infected by such a lively atmosphere and feel the enthusiasm and excitement of the Qiang people celebrating the New Year.
Then they went to the place where the sacred tree believed by the local Qiang people was located to perform sacrifices. It is said that this divine tree protects the Qiang people like the gods. During the New Year, the Qiang people will pray to it for good weather in the coming year.
The priest was holding a mysterious ceremony and was also muttering Qiang language. Although I don't know what the priest said, the entire ceremony gave people a solemn and mysterious feeling.
After the entire sacrificial activity for the divine tree is over, it is the last stop of the New Year's sacrificial activity and the most important link-the sacrificial activity in front of the Tianshen Temple.
The Tianshen Temple is one of the most sacred places in the hearts of Xiqiang people. Grand sacrificial activities are held in front of the temple during holidays.
The sacrificial activities are divided into two parts. The first is the sacrificial activities carried out by the chief priest. He speaks Qiang language with incomparable sacred beliefs.
Of course, sacrifices are indispensable to sacrifices. The first thing is to kill chickens to make sacrifices. Priests will also point chicken blood from sacrifice on tourists 'foreheads to pray for the protection of gods.
Some ethnic groups will not use the animals represented by their totems as sacrifices or food, but the Qiang people are an exception. Although sheep are the totem of the Qiang people, they also use sheep as sacrifices and food. So the second living creature sacrificed by the priest was a sheep. (The scene is bloody, there is no picture here)
Next was another priest, who mainly prayed for good luck for the Qiang people and the tourists present.
Cut off the branches and leaves of the cypress and place them in a brazier and burn them. The smoke burned represents the blessing of the gods. People smoked by the smoke can dispel evil spirits and bring good luck.
At this point, the entire New Year's sacrificial activity is over.
·Attend a Qiang wedding
Then we followed the large team celebrating the New Year to the Qiang Style Garden. What followed was a grand wedding with Qiang characteristics. The host selected a couple among tourists as newlyweds to restore a real Qiang wedding.
Before the wedding, the welcoming team will circle the square bonfire three times. The wedding team was all wearing Qiang costumes and was very festive. There were people playing suona and people carrying congratulatory gifts. The whole scene was very lively.
Welcome the bride in the room.
After welcoming the bride, they will also march around the square.
The bride alighted from the sedan chair and entered the wedding hall to perform the main ceremony of the wedding.
The entire Qiang wedding ceremony actually has many similarities to the traditional Han wedding ceremony, and there are also worship halls.
However, the Qiang wedding hall seems to be more strict with the groom. The same is to worship heaven and earth, worship Gao Tang, and worship husband and wife. But the groom must kneel down and kowtow to show his love for the bride and pray for a happy life after marriage.
At the end of the ceremony, the groom took off the bride's red veil.
The bridegroom and bride in the bridal chamber. It was like traveling through time and space, and the layout of the room was also in a very traditional Chinese style. It was like traveling through ancient times and participating in a traditional wedding.
This traditional Qiang wedding was very festive and lively, and the cultural characteristics of the Qiang were deeply felt. The most eye-catching ones are the Qiang costumes, all handmade. Whether it is satin or embroidery, the workmanship is exquisite and the colors are well matched.
After the wedding, the table was also filled with Qiang costumes. If you like anything, you can take it home.
After the wedding, there will be a traditional banquet with Qiang characteristics.
Although it was not an exquisite dish, it looked appetizing. Moreover, the ingredients here are all natural and are all grown and cultivated by the local people themselves. Eating too much contaminated ingredients in the city and eating pure natural agricultural products here really makes people appetite.
Many dishes were actually eaten when I was a child when I went to other people's banquets in the countryside. It feels like I have returned to childhood. Steamed pork with rice flour and roasted white are all must-have dishes for banquets that have not been eaten for a long time.
Tips: Qiang wedding performances are held from 12:00 to 12:30 noon every day, and wedding dinners are held from 12:30 to 16:00
·Glass plank road| Afraid of heights? not exist
After having lunch at the Qiang Style Garden, you can choose to visit various attractions in Jiuhuang Mountain. The main attractions of Jiuhuang Mountain Scenic Area are divided into two routes: front mountain and back mountain.
The routes on Qianshan are: Cableway 3-Dayu Hall-Lovers Bridge-Yuanwang Cave-Super Big Swing-Walking in the Cloud-Cliff Swing. There are many activities to play and are more suitable for those who like adventure and challenge. friend. The routes in the back mountain are: Cableway 2-Tianshen Temple-Qiangqing Garden-Yunzhong Farm-Qiangdiao House-Glass Plank Road-Grassland Skating Grassland-Monkey Garden, which is more suitable for friends who are leisurely playing. Because I didn't dare to challenge the exciting project of cliff swings, I chose the route from the back mountain, just to experience the unique grass skiing.
We went to the glass plank road first. The way to the plank road was really too steep because the glass plank road was built on the steep mountain. However, the scenery along the way was very good, with red leaves that had just become red and the mountains in the distance were stacked.
You must wear non-slip shoe covers to avoid wrestling when you go on the glass plank road. I once thought I was a person who was afraid of heights, but I didn't expect that I would have no emotions in front of this glass plank road.
You will reach a glass viewing platform on the way from the plank road. The scenery here is very good. Looking across the rolling mountains and looking at the opposite side, you can see the dense forest in front of you. It is very eye-catching and refreshing.
Carefully walk to the edge of the platform. There are steep cliffs at your feet, which will still make people feel scared after looking for a long time.
·Skating grassland| Glad I didn't fall upside down
After leaving the glass plank road, I was most looking forward to the skiing grassland on this trip. You need to take a battery sightseeing bus to go to the skating grassland.
As soon as we reached the grassland, we didn't expect that we would be greeted by a mountain of monkeys. It turns out that the monkey garden and the skating grassland are together. This is the first time I have been so close to a monkey.
Some are taking a nap on the mountain, but some are aiming at us tourists to see if there is any food to snatch.
However, it is recommended not to feed monkeys indiscriminately. There are special monkey food nearby that you can buy. You can also take a group photo while feeding the monkeys.
I couldn't wait to put on my gear and started skating. Grass-skiing shoes are really heavy.
Because the grassland has a slope, you will keep sliding down with your shoes on. But there is also a way to it, otherwise you will stumble and fall while sliding down. Although I had never had experience skiing, my first time skiing was surprisingly smooth.
Of course, it is important to remember the secret of the technique. First of all, you must bend down and lean forward slightly to let your center of gravity move forward; secondly, your feet must not have an inner eight or an outer eight. The inner eight will cause shoes with wheels to collide, and the outer eight will split (Gee, it's hard to think about it).
As long as you master the skills and don't fall, skiing is really great. Sliding down the slope and breaking the wind all the way, I am the coolest kid in this grassland! I just felt that the grassland was a bit small, and it was really not fun to skate down at one time, but I could also skate more times.
·Soak in hot springs| Leave all your fatigue in the soup
After skiing, the sun gradually moved to the west. We went all the way back to Xiqiang Square. After playing for a day, I dragged my tired body. Of course, the best thing at this time was to soak in a hot spring to relieve my fatigue. There is a hot spring place in Xiqiang Square, and the opening hours are 18:00--22: 00.
The hot springs here are said to have been introduced into mineral hot springs from the mountains. They have many benefits to the body and can also relieve the fatigue of the day. Soak in the hot spring, let the sweat drain out, the blood circulates, and the fatigue of the day will disappear.
After soaking in the hot spring, we chose to eat at Xiqiang Hotel. You can order meals individually here and the prices are all right. The main reason is that the dishes are really delicious and are very natural and healthy ingredients.
As night fell in, we decided to go down the mountain and return to Chengdu. A tour around Chengdu ends here. A day of fun makes this weekend more fulfilling and comfortable.
