Everyone says that "you can't enter Shu when you are young" is right. Chengdu is not actually a place that destroys people's willpower. On the contrary, it makes you feel full of vitality. The only reason to sink is that you can't resist the city's wild imagination. Its beauty lies in innocence. The men, women and children living here all have a fatal and charming feeling of relaxation. They never doubt the meaning of life. They are doers. They can play mahjong if they want to, and eat millet if they like. Sichuan people all have a sense of energy. They are peaceful and fearless, and they live their beloved little days without being humble or arrogant. I like Chengdu not so much as the fireworks in Chengdu.
DAY·1--Wuhou Temple-IFS
I had a flight in the morning and the weather was very good. I took the subway to the hotel first to store my luggage. The hotel is located near Tianfu Square and has convenient transportation. Taikoo Li is also nearby. The business district is prosperous and there is a lot of food. However, in fact, the Chengdu subway is very convenient. Everyone can arrange it according to the attractions they want to visit, so it's good to be close to the subway. There was still half afternoon left, so I took a short break and set off for Wuhou Temple.
As a famous scenic spot related to the history of the Three Kingdoms in China, Wuhou Temple is divided into two parts: cultural relics area and garden area. As far as the playing experience is concerned, I am a little disappointed. As a person who likes to visit museums, I originally expected to see cultural relics related to the history of the Three Kingdoms. However, in fact, the cultural relics area is mainly a temple, with statues of Liu Bei and others inside (you know the statues in the temple), as well as some inscriptions. Huiling is a hill surrounded by small brick walls. There are only plants on the hill, so we can only walk around the wall. The place with the most people is a red-walled corridor with high bamboo forests on both sides, where everyone takes photos
Walking around and feeling that if you are not a fan of the Three Kingdoms, it doesn't matter if you don't come to this attraction. Jinli is next to the Wuhou Temple. It has a nice name. It is the kind of alley found in every city with some Internet celebrity attributes. Tianzifang in Shanghai and Qinghefang in Hangzhou. Later, I heard that half of the bad food in Chengdu is in Jinli and half in Kuanzhai Alley (laughter). If you go nearby, you can stop by and feel the experience. As a warm-up for your trip, if you happen to be hungry, you can buy a snack or two ~
After eating near Chunxi Road, his teammates proposed to go to IFS to watch the online celebrity giant panda check-in spot... When they arrived, they realized that they had made a giant panda climbing stairs on the outer wall of the commercial building. The idea was... very good... You can see the panda downstairs. The big butt, and the face can be seen on the platform upstairs. I went upstairs and saw that other activities were being held on the platform. A performance stage was set up to sing Jay's old songs, and there were also many activities in the catacombs. There is also a special queuing channel in front of the giant panda. There are really Internet celebrities queuing up to take photos! Passers-by took pictures of check-in from other angles next to him, which was quite cute.
I chose Xiaolongkan for dinner. There are three restaurants near an intersection on Chunxi Road... I found a place with fewer queues... In fact, there are Xiaolongkan in Hangzhou, but I have never eaten it... Everyone has heard of the legend of "Chengdu Slightly Spicy".
As a spicy star eater, I originally wanted to boldly operate and get a medium spicy food! (There is only super spicy... super spicy... which is a bit cowardly...) The teammates thought it was better to be cautious, so they ordered slightly spicy. For me, it is just spicy, because the spicy flavor will accumulate and it will still be a little spicy at the end of eating it, but it is spicy and enjoyable, especially the tripe and duck intestines. It is crispy and delicious when it is hot for 15 seconds. Cool, so delicious ~
DAY·2--Giant Panda Breeding Base-Sanxingdui-Tianfu Square
Giant pandas and Sanxingdui can be arranged for one day, but if you are Sanxingdui fans and want to visit the site in addition to the Sanxingdui Museum, you can arrange it for a whole day. You can purchase a through train (including two tickets) from the scenic spot on WeChat. In the morning, you will depart from Chunxi Road to the Giant Panda Base. There are three flights at 7:15, 8:15 and 9:15. Giant pandas are afraid of heat, so it is better to arrange it in the morning and set off from the panda base to Sanxingdui at noon. One inconvenient point is that if you buy a round-trip ticket, the drop-off point is not Chunxi Road but Wuhou Temple, but if you buy a one-way ticket from Sanxingdui, you can send it to Chunxi Road, which is very strange.
Originally, the panda base was not in my plan because I felt that I had watched too much in documentaries and nature magazines, and I felt that there was no need to watch live giant pandas. But my friend was very interested in the soft panda dumplings, so he joined the travel plan. The results proved that the essence of human beings is true fragrance!
before you go
After going
Since seeing the first giant panda, my inner monologue: The cuteness of a living giant panda is doubled! It's great not to skip this attraction ~ However, his teammates shouted from the side: "Why! Shouldn't pandas be black and white! Why is it so yellow and dirty! I was deceived! Damn it! orz "(laughter) Finally, I saw a total of twenty-six pandas! Pandas all have their own names, and two of them are deeply impressed. One is Yuan Run and the other is Ji Xiao...
The panda base is a small mountain as a whole. In addition to giant pandas, there are also red pandas. There are tour buses, but you need to queue up. The overall area is not particularly large. We walked the whole way for about three hours. There is no place to eat near Sanxingdui, so you need to prepare your own delicious food or set aside time for lunch in the shop in front of the Panda Base.
sanxingdui
Sanxingdui in Chengdu and Mawangdui in Changsha are probably this kind of cultural town players in a region. Sanxingdui Museum is not a separate building, but a park. Cultural relics are mainly stored in the comprehensive hall and bronze hall in the park. I can finally see these unique ancient Shu cultural relics with my own eyes (so why didn't I want to see pandas with my own eyes before!
How can those who like "Tomb Robbing Notes" not come and see the prototype of the bronze tree in the Qinling Divine Tree!

Infinite inspiration
Except for a few famous cultural relics, this bronze snake is the one that impressed me the most. It's probably a python or a boa. Since rhinos lived in southern China in ancient times, we can know that the temperature in the south used to be relatively high. The ancient Shu Kingdom may also have tropical rainforests, which is why such lifelike bronzes could be made.

There are cultural and creative stores in the park. The handmade ones in Sanxingdui are quite interesting. When I went there, there were very few types of postcards and quite expensive, and there was nothing I liked in particular. I didn't ask about the official seal. Judging from the pattern on the counter, it should look like this. It's quite nice.
When I went back, there happened to be a Tao Lin restaurant near the drop-off point. I went there when I saw that the reviews were good. The taste was quite good. The steamed buns on the side of the pot are interesting. Part of the dough is scraped open when baking, so one side is soft and the other is crisp, and the taste is clear and sweet. The fat intestines have been fried and fried just right, so they won't feel very oily.
It was just past 8 o'clock when I finished eating. It was still dark in Chengdu. Seeing that Tianfu Square was not too far away, I decided to ride a bike to have a look. The weather is just cool, and it feels very comfortable to ride for about ten minutes. When we arrived at Tianfu Square, night had fallen, and the blue night sky was very beautiful
DAY·3--Sichuan Province Museum-Du Fu Cottage-Shu Brocade Museum-Taigali
The Provincial Expo is well-planned, the nearby environment is very good, the buildings look very grand from the outside, and the internal facilities are generally old-fashioned. There are small exhibition halls with several themes on each floor, all of which are independent, such as calligraphy and painting exhibitions, Han Dynasty pottery stones, folk costumes, Tibetan Buddhism, etc. A lot of content in it is available in the city expo. If you are interested in Buddhism, you can recommend it to go.
There is Chen Mapo tofu across the street from the museum. It is said to be the most authentic Mapo tofu here. Of course, I have to try it. Spicy food is not very spicy, but it is really super numbing. My teammates took a bite of k.o., and I ate three pieces and raised the white flag. My tongue seemed to be slightly electrocuted... The popular dish "taste on the tip of the tongue", the cow tongue filled with pepper, still tastes very good. Be sure to order the almond tofu here. Take a bite when you can't stand the numbness, and your tongue will be instantly calmed down by the sweet and cold feeling.
Walking all the way from Huanhuaxi Park next to you is Du Fu Cottage. The scenery along the way is very good. Du Fu Cottage has been maintained and expanded over several dynasties. It is now a garden with a very good scenery inside. There are also bamboo forests and red walls. The tickets are the same as those of Wuhou Temple. If you just want to take photos of red walls and bamboo forests, it is more suitable to come here.
Welcome to my 300-acre cottage
The real ruins of the Cottage also feel like a hundred square meters. Coupled with the courtyard, modern people are crying. It started to rain while visiting the garden, and just passed by a monument in the courtyard that read "Good rain tells the season." Then go to the cafe to have a cup of Cottage coffee and rest your stay before going to the Shu Brocade Museum.

The Shu Brocade Museum is not far from the Cottage, but I was quite disappointed after arriving. It was said that the museum actually displays some relevant materials on the basement floor, and there is a store upstairs. If you are not particularly interested, you don't have to go.
Returning to Chunxi Road, I walked around Taikoo Li, a commercial street complex full of Internet celebrities. In fact, Chengdu gives me a subtle sense of similarity to Hangzhou in many places. Could it be the wonderful sense of commonality between the first generation of second-generation Internet celebrities... I mainly went to the studios here, and I also went to Guangzhou before. Every time, I marvel at the amazing variety of books in this independent bookstore. Dinner was a bowl chicken restaurant near Tai Kooli, which was better than the skewers I had eaten in Hangzhou. The food I had in Hangzhou only tasted red oil, which tasted more delicious.

DAY·4--Chengdu City Museum-Go to Chongqing
Leave the hotel in the morning to go to the Municipal Expo. The museum has luggage storage, which is very convenient. After visiting the city expo, I had a deeper understanding of "everyone only knows Chengdu Province, but not Sichuan City"(laughter). Not only are the facilities inside the venue new, but the collections are also very rich. The designs are also connected layer by layer, making it very interesting to stroll around.
Chengdu City Museum
The second floor covers the period from the Pre-Qin Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Not only are there two treasures of the town hall, the stone rhinoceros and the Jingxue lacquer man, but you also see the ship coffin burial that has not been seen before. I didn't expect that there were so many lacquerware in Shu. Considering that there were exchanges between Shu and Chu, and Mawangdui lacquerware was very famous, I couldn't help but wonder whether these lacquerware were brought from Chu through trade or marriage. The third floor is the part from the Sui Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty and has the famous hollow gold sachet.

The fourth floor is a folk custom chapter, including food, clothing, housing and transportation, with vivid scenes and even copper sculptures and wax figures, including spicy eating customs, teahouse culture, snacks, mahjong bridge, etc.
The fifth floor is a shadow puppet theme. This picture shows the scene of hell and the blessing of heaven. You can take a closer look at the hell part and think of "The Cold Ghost Lantern".
The cultural and creative store of the Municipal Expo is also very powerful, with a wide variety of postcards and good prices.
IFS Panda Badge, Lovely Back
Lunch is a ten-minute ride in the fat sausage noodle shop. Fat sausage lovers are overjoyed. What parts of the fat sausage knots are so spicy and tender? They also add a piece of baby lungs, which is soft and occasionally has a crispy air duct. Taste, it is so satisfying to eat one bowl. Hot pot can still be eaten in Hangzhou, but fat sausage noodles seem to be inaccessible!
"There is an elegant courtyard in the city, and a century-old apricot tree in the courtyard"
I went to Chengdu this time and booked a courtyard-style hotel next to Tianfu Square. After choosing for a long time in Ctrip, I finally jumped to a hotel that suits the temperament of this cultural tourism. From the beginning of entering the hall, the chirping of parrots and the aroma of white tea filled the air, there was an atmosphere of birds chirping and flowers fragrance.
There are many ancient books and four treasures of the study in the hall. Coupled with the elegance and tranquility of the zither, it is wonderful.
The staff are also very modest and polite. The entire hotel is ancient and it is really hard to imagine such a secluded courtyard in a bustling place like the city center. The red walls, green tiles and two century-old apricots in the courtyard are really a unique place.
This 4-day trip to Chengdu has come to an end first. If you have any questions, please leave a message ~
