Starting from Shanghai, pass through Quzhou, Zhejiang, Zhuzhou, Jiangxi, Zhijiang, Hunan, Maotai Town, Chishui, Guizhou, Luzhou, Zigong, Chengdu, Dujiangyan, Wenchuan, Li County, Maerkang, Jinchuan, Danba, Xinduqiao, Litang, Daocheng, Yunnan, Shangri-La, Lijiang, Jianchuan, Shaxi, Dali, Weishan, Chuxiong, Kunming, Dongchuan, Guizhou, Panzhou, Southwest, Ziyun, Duyun, Guizhou, and Southeast, passing through Loudi, Hunan, Fuzhou, Jiangxi, Quzhou, Zhejiang, and then back to Shanghai.

The oldest and largest existing Taoist temple in Chengdu is directly related to Lao Tzu, the originator of Taoism.

5. Wuhou Temple:

Tickets are 50 yuan. This is the third time I came to pay my respects.

There are more than 20 Wuhou shrines in the country, including 9 larger ones. They are Wuhou Temple in Mian County, Gulongzhong Wuhou Temple, Chengdu Wuhou Temple, Qishan Castle Wuhou Temple, Baidi City Wuhou Temple, Nanyang Wuhou Temple, Baoshan Wuhou Temple, and Lanxi Wuhou Temple.

Chengdu Wuhou Temple is the only temple in China where monarch and minister worship together. It consists of Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang's monarch and minister worship together. Therefore, although Chengdu Wuhou Temple was not the earliest, it was the most famous Wuhou Temple.

One of the most eye-catching relics is the Tang Dynasty "Monument to the Ancestral Hall of Zhuge Wuhou, Prime Minister of Shu" that was once entered the courtyard. The inscription was written by Pei Du, the famous minister of the "revival of the Tang Dynasty", written by Liu Gongchuo, the brother of the calligrapher Liu Gongquan, and engraved by the famous craftsman Lu Jian, known as the "Three Jujue Stele".

The famous couplet: "If you can attack the heart, you will turn around and disappear. From ancient times, you know that soldiers are not belligerent; if you don't judge the situation, you will be lenient and strict. Later, when you govern Shu, you must think deeply."

This couplet is simply referred to as the "Heart-attacking couplet". It was written by Zhao Fan, a native of Jianchuan, Yunnan Province, who was temporarily a messenger of salt tea in Sichuan in the 28th year of Guangxu in the late Qing Dynasty. It not only highly affirmed Zhuge Liang's talent in military and governance, but also summarized Zhuge Liang's experience in governing Shu from the dialectical relationship between peace and war, leniency and strictness.

The literal meaning of the couplet is: Those who can take heart-attacking methods to convince others will naturally eliminate those who have doubts, uneasiness, and have second thoughts. People who have known the way of using war since ancient times have not liked to use war to solve problems; Those who cannot judge the situation will make mistakes regardless of whether they are lenient or strict in their handling of political affairs. Future generations who govern Shu should think deeply.

The reason why Dujiangyan Scenic Area gives preferential treatment to Shanghainese in Ala may be related to Shanghai's support for the reconstruction of Dujiangyan City after the Wenchuan earthquake.

The fifth time I came to visit the great water conservancy project Dujiangyan, I still felt that I had technology, culture, faith and spirit.

The surging Minjiang River flows to Chengdu City, irrigating the Eastern Plain and enriching the Tianfu Country.

Construction structure and principles of Dujiangyan:

The Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project was built on the bend of the Minjiang River, allowing the water in the bend to flow into the head of the Dujiangyan Canal. The head of the canal consists of three parts: water diversion fish mouth embankment, treasure bottle mouth and flying sand weir.

The water dividing fish mouth embankment is built in the center of the river and has a half-moon shape. The Minjiang River flows down the bend, the water surface widens and the water flow slows down. After the water flows hit the Yuzui embankment, the Minjiang River water is divided into the inner river and the outer river. The inner river water flows in from the Baopingkou and can be used to irrigate the Chengdu Plain. It is the main water source in western Sichuan, and the inner river finally flows into the Yangtze River in Chengdu.

The treasure bottle mouth is like a bottleneck, controlling the amount of Minjiang River water flowing into the Chengdu Plain, avoiding excessive water, and diverting excess river water into the Waijiang River through the Feisha Weir. The outer river is used for sand discharge and flood discharge, and then joins with the Qingyi River and flows into the Yangtze River.

The inner river in Dujiangyan is located on the concave bank, and the outer river is located on the convex bank. Therefore, according to the principle of curved circulation in the curve, the centrifugal force generated by the curved movement of water in the curve causes the surface water to flow to the concave bank, and the bottom water to flow to the convex bank. Therefore, most of the sand and gravel will flow to the outer river with the bottom water. Then, the swirling momentum generated by the river water in the bend hitting the water bottom will once again drain the sediment flowing into the inner river through the flying sand weir. The removal rate of sand and sand will increase with the increase of the intensity of the flood water potential. In addition, the Inner River and Outer River divide water according to a ratio of four to six. Due to the low riverbed of the Inner River, 60% of the water will flow into the Inner River in the dry season, providing irrigation and shipping water for the Chengdu Plain. When the summer flood season comes, 60% of the water from the river is discharged into the outer river and 40% of the water enters the inner river, saving the Chengdu Plain from floods.

The water diversion fish mouth embankment, flying sand weir and treasure bottle mouth of the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project cooperate and echo each other, integrating water diversion, flood discharge, sand discharge, flow control and other links, perfectly realizing the functions of irrigation, flood control, and water use in Dujiangyan. At the same time, since the altitude of Dujiangyan is about 730 meters and the altitude of the Chengdu Plain is about 430 meters, such a drop creates a slope of 3‰ to 6‰, which can thus realize gravity irrigation in the vast area around Dujiangyan.

However, the Yuzui Dike, Feisha Weir and Baopingkou are not the entire Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project. In addition to the canal head, Dujiangyan also includes 19 canal systems including Neijiang Main Canal, Qingshui River, Tuojiang River, Tongjiyan, and Sanheyan, 37 main canals, 60 branch canals with a total length of 3550 kilometers, and 272 branch canals with a total length of 3627 kilometers, 2848 douqu canals with a total length of 11847 kilometers, and 34868 agricultural canals with a total length of 23172 kilometers, involving a total land area of about 21700 square kilometers and a total irrigation area of 13.7 million acres.

Dujiangyan, with such a grand scale, is the oldest and only preserved water diversion project without dams in the world. It condensed the wisdom and hard work of the ancient Chinese people and became a miracle of ancient Chinese water conservancy projects that dominated the Minjiang River. What is even more surprising is that the construction of Dujiangyan did not cause damage to the natural environment and resources. Instead, it used the characteristics of the natural environment in which it was located to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages, so that artificial and nature could be harmoniously integrated, demonstrating the designer's unique natural philosophy concept.

The Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project also contains many excellent technologies and creations of the Chinese nation. The unique engineering technologies such as "croak","bamboo cage","dry pebble building" and "sheeppen" used in the project construction, as well as "pulling out the core at the right direction, cutting the angle at the bay","deep scouring the beach, and low weir construction" and other water control experience have been widely used in flood control work in the Yellow River and Pearl River Basin. The ancient Dujiangyan has not only not been reduced to a historical relic, but still plays a huge role in future generations, benefiting the people.
