Chengdu, has always been a stop I planned to travel, because of Zhao Lei's "Chengdu" and because I retain a cultural and youthful feeling in my bones. When I mention Chengdu, I can think of labels such as "leisurely","literature and art","Old Tea House","Face Changing", and "Picking Ear". I especially want to be there and experience it personally. After spending three days in Chengdu, I failed to visit two places in the plan due to time constraints: Du Fu's Cottage and the tavern in "Chengdu"(Chunxi Road and the Giant Panda Research Base are not planned for this trip). But fortunately, the three-day arrangement is sufficient, and this guide for a trip to Chengdu is enough for you to have fun.
About accommodation:
I made some suggestions before planning a trip. Several popular must-check-in attractions in Chengdu are not far away, such as Kuanzhai Alley, Jinli, Wuhou Temple Museum, Bistro, etc., which are within walking distance of about 2 kilometers, so I chose a hotel that is not far from the attractions. My friends and I like to stay in hotels and feel relatively safe. We booked the hotel located at No. 130 Shaanxi Street on CtripSimm House Hotel, I took a taxi from the airport for more than 30 minutes and booked a garden queen bed room. It cost more than 400 yuan per night. I booked it for two nights. He was also very considerate to the guest housekeeper and added WeChat to share with us Chengdu's attractions, transportation, and delicious food.
The hotel environment is good, and the room is very clean, which shows the hotel attaches great importance to details and hygiene.
This time I booked this garden room, and my friends loved it very much. They have been praising me for my good room reservation. The room has a small balcony, and the hotel has planted some flowers and plants. On sunny days, the small tables and chairs in the room can be moved to the balcony. In the evening, it is very comfortable to drink tea and chat.
We always bring our own facial masks when we go out because we are afraid of unsanitary hotels, but!!! This hotel prepares disposable facial wipes so everyone can use them with confidence.
I heard from the young lady at the front desk that the hotel has seven or eight different room types. There is a large bed room with ginkgo view where you can see the century-old ginkgo trees and Shaanxi Guild Hall. If you still have the opportunity to come to Chengdu, you must experience it. I searched it on Ctrip. This is the photo!
The hotel also has a small self-service laundry room equipped with washing machines and dryers, laundry detergents, disinfectants, etc. For guests who have stayed in the hotel for more than 2 days, they are really happy. They don't have to wash their own clothes or find a place to dry them everywhere!
When checking out, the housekeeper carefully asked us how we felt about our stay and said that we could give them any opinions if we had any suggestions. They also gave us a gift that the hotel had customized!
I will definitely stay here again next time I have the opportunity, and I will strongly recommend it to my friends when I go back!!?
About attractions:
D1 Station 1: Kuanzhai Alley
The first stop is Kuanzhai Alley. Kuanzhai Alley is an existing ancient street of the Qing Dynasty in Chengdu. It is divided into Kuanzhai Alley, Kuanzhai Alley and Jingxiang Alley. The Kuanzhai Alley gathers many old buildings from the Qing Dynasty. The Kuanzhai Alley contains buildings from the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. There are also early Western-style buildings. However, these two alleys have a strong commercial atmosphere. The streets on both sides are full of snacks and delicious food, and tea houses change faces. Jingxiang Alley has many embossed photo walls that condense the life of old Chengdu. You need to walk slowly and carefully here to feel the leisurely and leisurely living habits of Chengdu people. Even if it is not a holiday, there are still many tourists here.
D1 Station 2: Wuhou Temple Museum
After visiting Kuanzhai Alley, the next stop at Wuhou Temple Museum is still Route 11 (i.e. walking). It takes three kilometers from Kuanzhai Alley, which takes more than half an hour. Tickets are 50 yuan per person. On-site tickets are purchased and only cash is charged (please remind me, you still have to prepare some cash when you go out), because it is still during the epidemic period, you have to scan the Tianfu code to enter the museum. This is a historical relics area of the Three Kingdoms. In the museum, important figures of the Shu Kingdom basically have statues. There is a rental guide in the museum for 20 yuan each, but it is not recommended to rent it and cannot be adjusted. We have always been told according to the script. One place has not yet been understood and we have already talked to another museum. If there are conditions, it is recommended to find a tour guide.
There are two classic red walls in the museum, particularly classic places for Internet celebrities to check in. They are also a symbol of Wuhou Temple. I think many tourists will go to these red walls like me.
D1 Station 3: Jinli
Jinli is next door to the Wuhou Temple Museum, only separated by a wall. It has been a commercial street since ancient times. I heard that it was famous across the country during the Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms periods. It is not wrong to come here to eat, drink, and have fun, so I won't introduce it much.
D2: Dujiangyan
I will definitely go to Dujiangyan, Chengdu. I have appreciated his grandeur from textbooks since I was a child. I must see it with my own eyes this time when I come to Chengdu. Let me remind you that there is a commercial street outside the scenic area, with everything you can do for shopping, shopping and eating. Tickets for the scenic area are 80 yuan/person. There are tourist buses that go directly to Dujiangyan Scenic Area in the urban area. We chose the reception point of the Wuhou Temple Museum nearby (please remind me, if you get on the bus from the Wuhou Temple Museum, you need to transfer in Kuanzhai Alley). The duration is almost two hours, and the ticket price is 15 yuan/person.
Mr. Yu Qiuyu once wrote in his book: "If you want to see the water, you must never forget Dujiangyan." It was precisely because of Dujiangyan that the land of abundance was created, so it is called the "source of Tianfu". Visiting the site and listening to history can truly feel the majesty of this project and the superb wisdom and skills of our ancestors. At the same time, the pride of being a Chinese son also arises spontaneously.
I would like to remind you that you must have a tour guide when you come to Dujiangyan, otherwise you will come in vain. There are QR codes everywhere in the scenic area, which can be scanned by online tour guides to explain. The prices vary. However, it is recommended to find a real guide to explain the way. In order to save money, I just rub around the guide like a little mouse, haha.
In addition to water conservancy projects in Dujiangyan, there are other attractions such as Erwang Temple, Anlan Cable Bridge, Yulei Pass, etc., which are particularly worth visiting and of course require physical strength.
D3: Qingcheng Mountain
I believe that when it comes to Qingcheng Mountain, many people can sing the classic song "Bai Suzhen under Qingcheng Mountain". I have always thought that Bai Suzhen was beside the West Lake in Hangzhou, so why did she come to Qingcheng Mountain? It turns out that Bai Suzhen was born at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain, grew up there, and later cultivated and achieved enlightenment in Mount Emei.
Tickets for the scenic spot purchased online in advance are 78 yuan/person. Qingcheng Mountain is divided into two parts: Qianshan and Houshan. Qianshan is the main body of Qingcheng Mountain Scenic Area. Most Taoist culture, cultural relics and historic sites are concentrated here. This is also what ordinary tourists call "Qingcheng Mountain"; the Houshan is famous for its natural scenery and is a good place for vacation and leisure.
We chose to take the cableway up the mountain from the back mountain. The Yunlang cableway goes from Yuecheng Lake to Siwangguan: 35 yuan/person one way. It takes more than two hours to walk down the mountain. Qingcheng Mountain is one of the birthplaces of Taoism and is known as "Qingcheng World Serenity". Covered by dense vegetation, it is classic and mysterious, quiet and clean, and it is also a summer resort.
I didn't mention food here. I spent three days in Chengdu and didn't focus on eating Chengdu snacks. However, there are two delicious dishes that must be dried, that is, Qingcheng Mountain Old Bacon and Spicy Chicken. These two dishes are also Chengdu people's home-cooked dishes, which are very delicious!
