We left Puyang at 9 a.m. on the 9th and officially began our journey west and south. The first stop was Xi'an. I didn't stop too much. I just visited Wang Xintian, the instructor of our second company, and had dinner together. After dinner, we chatted for a long time at Instructor Wang's home. He still lived in the residential building of the Provincial Hydrogeological Team Unit. The house was not big, with two bedrooms and one living room. It was tidy up in an orderly manner, showing that the glorious tradition of the army had always been maintained. His son Wang Wei has already married and started a career and lives in another place. His wife lives in Shenzhen with his daughter, and he is temporarily left alone at home. Instructor Wang is in a good mental state and is full of confidence and self-sufficiency in his current life. This represents the first generation of our Republic's people who are not demanding about material life after experiencing the hardships of difficult years. This suddenly reminded me of a couplet from Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou,"How can life be so satisfying? Everything is only half satisfying." Being content and being at ease is the most sound ideal life for people.

After breakfast on the 10th, he bid farewell to Wang Xintian and left Xi'an. He followed the Beijing-Kunming Expressway through the Qinling Mountains and passed through Hanzhong to Guangyuan. Along the way, mountains are high and connected by bridges and tunnels. The red leaves in late autumn are dotted with the lush forest sea. It is not difficult to see the Shu Road, but it has passed Wanzhong Mountain. It feels like a trip that never gets off. We originally planned to rush to Mianyang that day to meet our comrades there. On the way, Tian Zhiyuan, the instructor of the first company of the howitzer battalion, suggested that we go to Langzhong first, so we diverted our route from Guangyuan and arrived at Langzhong early in the afternoon. Tian Zhiyuan and Yong Fasheng, the instructor of the second company, have been waiting at the highway intersection for a long time. Dinner is arranged at the entrance of the ancient city. There is an antique, transparent and bright restaurant, authentic Sichuan hot pot, grilled steaks and barbecue cakes are very distinctive. Although it is impossible to have a banquet without alcohol, fortunately, when you are old, no one will persuade you to drink. It is precisely: The lights are dim. People are drunk, and we are reunited for a long time!

Visiting the ancient city the next day, I didn't know much about Langzhong. After visiting, I realized that this was a famous feng shui cultural city with "water on three sides hugging the city and mountains on all sides locking the haze." It was also the earliest capital of Sichuan. The government offices and township examination rooms in the ancient city are well preserved. It should be more worth seeing than the ancient city of Pingyao, Shanxi, especially since its feng shui culture is very famous in China. After lunch, Tian Zhiyuan took us to the highway intersection and repeatedly invited us to come back to Sichuan. It was obvious that he was sincere to his comrades in the army.

After leaving Langzhong and heading straight for Deyang, more than a dozen comrades including Deng Changsen from the command company and Su Weiyuan from the howitzer battalion had rushed to Deyang from Mianyang, Santai and Dujiangyan respectively to join them. The evening party was organized by Xu Xiaoyu, Song Baihua paid the bill, and more than 20 people gathered together. Everyone was filled with emotion. The heroic young figure of thirty-three years ago has gone away, and the marks of the weather-beaten years are engraved on the corners of their eyes and eyebrows. Although they are no longer young, the memory of history will never be erased. Talking about the anecdotes of the year, they are still vivid in their minds, just like yesterday. The good news is that many of these innocent Sichuan children at that time have successful careers, whether in officials or businessmen, and have made many achievements. I believe that their later years will be more colorful than ours.

After the party, Zeng Lehai and his wife, the commander company's correspondent, strongly invited us to go to Dujiangyan. A visit to Dujiangyan was originally part of our plan, so they generously agreed. We stayed in Deyang for one night and went to Dujiangyan early on the 12th. Zeng Lehai's wife Lai Xianyu insisted on accompanying us to visit Dujiangyan and Panda Valley despite her foot injury. After seeing the vast project and exquisite design of Dujiangyan, I have to admire the wisdom and greatness of the ancient working people. Without Dujiangyan, there would be no land of abundance. Compared with the Grand Canal and Lingqu, only Dujiangyan is still intact and will last forever for future generations.

Zeng Lehai rushed to the hotel on the morning of the 13th and planned to accompany us to Qingcheng Mountain. However, the weather was not beautiful and it started to rain. At our age, it was dangerous to go up the mountain in the rain, so we had to give up. The original plan was to go to Chongqing, where there were many comrades from the command company and howitzer battalion. Due to the limited time of the two friends traveling with him and afraid of delay in Chongqing, they decided to cancel their trip to Chongqing and bid farewell to Zeng Lehai to Guizhou via Leshan, starting a new journey!

After breakfast on the 13th, I left Dujiangyan and started a pure play journey of this trip. Leshan Giant Buddha, Huangguoshu Waterfall, Zhijin Cave, Libo Xiaoqikong, and Hena Expressway basically have one scenic spot a day. They will play for the first half of the day and travel for the second half of the day. They combine work and rest, making them relaxed and enjoyable. What's even more fortunate is that all scenic spots in Sichuan and Guizhou provide free tickets for people over the age of 60, which saves us a lot of expenses.

It was 200 kilometers away from Dujiangyan to Leshan Giant Buddha. There was a small problem with navigation. It took dozens of kilometers to travel and arrived at 11:30. We focused on watching the Buddha and spent two and a half hours. The Leshan Giant Buddha is located at the confluence of the Minjiang River, Qingyi River and Dadu River. The original intention of Master Haitong in the Tang Dynasty to build this Buddha was to control water and reduce the number of passing ships capsizing accidents. Having close contact with the Leshan Giant Buddha, I really felt the exquisiteness of this largest Maitreya statue in China and the vastness of the project. No wonder the 71-meter-high Buddha took 90 years to complete. To see the Buddha head-on, we need to go down the plank road on the left of the Buddha to the foot of the Buddha, and then climb up the steep cliff on the right. It was really a test of courage and size for our age. In the end, only Wang Tonglin and I got down to the foot of the Buddha. Looking up at the giant Buddha, the man and god are integrated, and everything seems to obey orders; looking back at the magnificent Three Rivers, the mountains and rivers complement each other, it seems to be looking at the ups and downs of history.

After leaving the scenic area and preparing to eat, I found a restaurant near the East Gate. Browsing the menu, I found that shallot mixed with tofu was 25 yuan. This is in Sichuan, where the price is not high. Do you need to see anything else? Let's go! It seems that the scenic area is really not suitable for shopping and eating.

It was already past 2 o'clock in the afternoon after I left Leshan. I searched and navigated 430 kilometers to Bijie, Guizhou. It was not too late to get to Bijie to stay. The key point was that Bijie was 230 kilometers away from Huangguoshu, making it more convenient to visit Huangguoshu the next day.

Arriving at Huangguoshu Scenic Area near 12 o'clock on the morning of the 14th, I met a vendor selling raincoats and rain boots in the parking lot. If you were prepared, you might as well buy them. In fact, it's useless at all. There will be splash when you wear the water curtain hole, but as long as you don't deliberately shower and pay attention to dodge, the raincoat and rain boots can only be used as a souvenir. It should be remembered that hawkers in scenic spots are all deceiving foreign tourists without exception, and the necessities they really need do not need to be purchased in advance. This scenic spot is also free of charge and has to buy 10 yuan insurance. This is also because it feels like it has benefited from age. It seems that the older you get, the greater the benefits, and you will earn by living.

The first stop is Tianxing Bridge, a scenic spot located on the south of Huangguoshu Waterfall. There is also a steep slope pond in the north and the waterfall in the middle. Tianxing Bridge is mainly composed of karst landforms, volcanic rocks, small waterfalls and lakes. It is also very charming as a leisure tourist scenery. It is also famous for its location and filming of the "Eight Rings of Marriage" and "Tangsi Cave" in Journey to the West. Because I was thinking about the Great Waterfall, I took a rough look at this attraction but didn't finish it. It was the delay here that made our view of the Great Falls more exciting. Because rainbows will appear only when the afternoon sun shines directly on the waterfall, and you can't see rainbows in the morning. Although it was not the rainy season and the water volume was not the largest, we arrived at the right time. There were not many tourists. There was no need to queue for photos. The sun was set in the west and the rainbow was always there. The four of us leisurely played carefully, looking from a distance and close view, circling around the left and right, walking the plank road through the water curtain, and walking through every corner of the waterfall. We still reluctantly took pictures even when our mobile phones were out of power. It is truly worthy of being a world-famous waterfall.

I saw the statue of Xu Xiake as I walked out of the scenic spot. I am really grateful to this Ming Dynasty traveler. It was his hard travel records and recommendations that later people had the honor to feast their eyes and experience the magical craftsmanship of nature.

Stay at Anshun Party School at night and prepare to visit Anshun Dragon Palace the next day. Zha Baidu learned that Zhijin Cave in Bijie was stronger than Dragon Palace, so he decided to walk a hundred miles back and visit Zhijin Cave.

We arrived at the Zhijin Cave Scenic Area in Zhijin County, northwest Guizhou early on the morning of the 15th. There were few tourists and it looked a bit desolate. We even encountered a big tabby cat squatting in the middle of the road and taking a nap near the entrance of the cave, completely ignoring the sparse tourists. Is this the World Lava Museum, which can be called the "No. 1 Cave of Wonders in the World"? Walking into the cave with suspicion, I was immediately stunned. The cave was vast and grand, with various stalactites. The cave connected the sky to the sky, the water surrounded the water, and the mountains outside the mountains. Every step, every scene was amazing. My hands were sore when taking pictures, lest I miss a scene. Fortunately, there are not many tourists, so we can walk slowly, watch quietly, and enjoy the beauty of nature. It took another two and a half hours to finally move outside the cave. It is no exaggeration to say that the Jiguan Cave in Henan, Shihua Cave in Hainan, Huanglong Cave in Zhangjiajie, Yinzi Rock and Reed Flute Rock in Guilin, all of which I have seen in the past cannot match the scale and rich content of Zhijin Cave. No wonder it is called by experts and scholars as "the first cave of wonders in the world, the museum of art treasure house." The karst growth here is unique, and the scenery is large-scale, majestic and diverse. The space inside the cave is open and the terrain is undulating, especially the white "Silver Rain Tree", the various shapes of "Pagoda Pine","Curling Stone","Cave Pot","Chicken Blood Stone", etc., can be called a rare treasure. The camera cannot capture his texture, and the video cannot record its charm. Only by personally visiting the scene can you experience its exquisiteness. Borrowing a poem from literati and literati, the summary is as follows: Once upon a time, it is difficult to see water. Except that Wushan Mountain is not a cloud, Huangshan Mountain comes back without looking at the mountain, and there is no cave outside Zhijin Cave.

It was already 2 o'clock in the afternoon on the 15th when he left Zhijin Cave. The next destination is the Big and Small Qikong Scenic Area in Libo, Guizhou. It is 354 kilometers to take the Xiarong Expressway, Guiyang Ring Expressway, and Lanhai Expressway. This section of the road is not easy to walk. When it approaches the scenic spot, it becomes dark, and the last section of the mountain road relies entirely on navigation. Gao De is really accurate, and the rural road between the mountains cannot be wrong. He is directly directed to the entrance of the "Xiaoqikong to Yaxuan Holiday Hotel" booked online. This is a B & B hotel. Due to the hotel's closure and renovation, it took a lot of trouble for us to finally check into their chain hotel under the guidance of the store. It seems that it is necessary to call the hotel in advance. The hotel's conditions are not bad. It is clean and has complete sanitary facilities. It is not far from the ticket office of the scenic spot, which is quite convenient. Enter the scenic spot early on the 16th. The scenic spot is very large. It is divided into two scenic spots: Da Qikong and Xiao Qikong. One ticket is available. Because I had done some homework in advance, I decided to only swim Xiaoqikong. Transportation buses take tourists directly to Wolongtan at the end of the scenic area, and then down the road, there are many scenic spots such as Yuanyang Lake, Tianzhong Cave, Cuigu Waterfall, Water Forest, 68-level Falling Waterfall, Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge, etc., all of which are based on mountains and rivers, wetlands, forests, and waterfalls, which are somewhat similar to Jiuzhaigou, and are very good for a leisure vacation and summer vacation. Because I had just seen Huangguoshu and Zhijin Cave, I didn't think Xiaoqikong was much better. The scenic area is very big. It took more than three hours to walk some of the scenic spots in the Xiaoqikong. Looking at the Big Qikong in the afternoon will definitely be exhausted, so I'd better hurry on.

According to the regular route, starting from Libo, you should head southeast to Nanning. However, I heard that the most beautiful highway in China,"Hena Expressway", is on the front line of the China-Vietnam border in Baise, Guangxi. It needs to go southwest again because two people take turns driving and running a few hundred more kilometers is not a problem, so I might as well go and have a non-stop tour. I stayed in Baise that night and set off early on the 17th. I wanted to walk the whole journey from Napo to Hepu. Because I didn't pay attention to previewing the navigation route when I left Baise, I took a shortcut and took the Hena Expressway from Jingxi. I only walked halfway through the journey. I missed the most beautiful section, leaving some regrets. However, the weather was good on this day, sometimes cloudy and sometimes sunny. There were both "the water was shining and sunny" and "the mountains were strange and the sky was covered with rain." Because this high-speed shuttle through a typical karst mountainous area, it seems to meander in a landscape gallery, harmoniously integrated with the blue sky, gentle mountains and rivers, gorgeous wild flowers, misty clouds, and endless sugar cane fields along the way., constitutes a stunning and magnificent picture. No wonder British media called it "the most beautiful highway in the world." However, I think the section of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway from Hanzhong to Guangyuan is also very good. It is connected by bridges and tunnels, winding and winding. Coupled with the green trees and red leaves all over the mountains and plains of the Qinling Mountains, and surrounded by clouds, it can also be equally divided with the Heena Expressway.

The road on this day is not only beautiful, but also easy to walk. It is still early when we reach Xuwen 780 kilometers away. I feel that it will not be too late to stay in Haikou after crossing the sea. I used my mobile phone to make a reservation for the 6 o'clock ferry and directly entered the port and boarded the boat. Unexpectedly, the ferry did not sail according to your scheduled time, but went to the next one. After boarding the boat, it took a full two hours before the boat sailed. In this way, it would be past ten o'clock when we settled in Haikou. I reminded everyone that we should leave enough waiting time to cross the sea.

On the morning of the 18th, we went to HNA Riyue Square in front of the government of Hainan Province. Before leaving, we asked the front desk of Real Madrid Hotel in Haikou, where we stayed, and said that Haikou was unlimited. But as soon as we arrived at Haifu Road, the navigation prompted us to enter the restricted road, and a fine of 586 points was deducted and 1,000 yuan was fined. It seems that the navigation was really wrong this time, and there was no violation notice later.

After leaving Haikou, we headed straight for Wanning. On the way, a friend suggested that he would like to visit the Boao Forum for Asia site. It was easy to do. It was a ten-kilometer turn. The two of them only walked around for more than an hour, took a photo and came back. They didn't go to Yudai Beach.

Arrive at the destination "Wanning Xinglong Shimei Villa" at 5 p.m., ending the 4300-kilometer journey. But as two comrades who came to Hainan for the first time, their journey to Hainan has just begun!
