The Chongqing Wulong Karst Center Tour Tourist Scenic Area is mainly composed of three major landscapes: Tiansheng Bridge, Xiannv Mountain, and Furong Cave. The reporter once emphasized the magic of the heart journey of Tiansheng Bridge in the article "Exploration of Tiankeng in Wulong, Chongqing". In this article, the reporter will lead everyone to take a cursory tour of the two major landscapes from Fairy Mountain to Furong Cave.

On the morning of September 17, 2010, the day after exploring the Tiankeng of Tianshengqiao, the journalist team departed from the Wulong Kaidi Hotel where they were staying and headed north from the county town. The direction from Wulong County to Xiannv Mountain is similar to the location of Tiansheng Bridge, basically heading north. However, Xiannv Mountain is further away than Tiansheng Bridge. After passing Tiansheng Bridge and driving northwest on a winding mountain road, you will arrive at the south gate of Xiannv Mountain National Forest Park. After watching for a while, the 35 kilometer journey from the county town to here only took over half an hour by car.

Xiannv Mountain is named after a peak on the mountain that resembles a dancing fairy. Looking at Xiannv Peak from afar, I saw white clouds swirling and purple smoke enveloping it, appearing and disappearing, floating and ethereal, like a fairy wearing a thin veil, standing shyly like a jade. Xiannv Mountain is also known as the "Switzerland of the East". It is adjacent to Fuling City to the west and Fengdu County to the north, with convenient water and land transportation. Located in the Wuling Mountains, with an altitude of 1991.7 meters, it covers an area of 350000 acres. The average altitude is over 1800 meters, with a peak of 2033 meters. The terrain on the mountain is mainly composed of plateau lawns and some shallow hills.

Xiannv Mountain was originally named Long'an Mountain. During the Tang Dynasty, the renowned Shaanxi monk, Master Hai, came here to settle down and immediately built a temple called "Long'an Temple" (according to Liu Zongyuan's "Long'an Hai Zen Master Stele"). As for people calling the mountain "Fairy Mountain", Long'an Mountain has been forgotten due to a legendary story.

Around the Song Dynasty, there lived a pair of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law at the foot of the mountain. The mother-in-law was loyal and generous, accumulating good deeds and giving generously; My wife is hardworking and frugal, collecting herbs, cultivating and weaving. One day, my mother-in-law suddenly fainted and woke up in complete darkness, blind in both eyes. In order to cure my mother-in-law's eyes, my wife goes up the mountain every day to collect herbs. Once she was extremely tired and sat under a big tree to rest. As soon as she closed her eyes, she saw a young and beautiful girl walking towards her with a bright red peach in her hand, smiling and saying, "Take this peach back and give it to your mother-in-law to eat, and her eyes will be fine

At this moment, the daughter-in-law was both surprised and delighted. She quickly opened her eyes and saw that the girl had disappeared without a trace. It's strange to say that my mother-in-law just finished eating the peach and felt a fever all over her body and swollen eyes. In no time, the eyes regained their brightness and became even clearer than before. Everyone says that this is because the mother-in-law has a good heart, the daughter-in-law is filial, and it moved the fairy who saved lives. In order to express their reverence for this fairy, people renamed this mountain as' Fairy Mountain '.

After driving into the Fairy Mountain scenic area, I felt refreshed and invigorated. When Chongqing was still experiencing a high temperature of 38 degrees Celsius in September, it was indeed a natural summer resort. The car was traveling along the tree lined road, and at every intersection, there were clear signs indicating scenic spots. So, following the map, we first arrived at the Fairy Mountain Tourist Service Center.

Under the guidance of a manager at the tourist center, our group visited some scenic spots such as the Sky Meadow, Fairy Pool, Tongtian Tower, and Fairy Stone on Fairy Mountain. Although these landscapes are only a part of Fairy Mountain, the unique natural and cultural scenery is still pleasing to the eye and leaves an endless aftertaste. The aerial meadow of Xiannv Mountain can be described as a natural beauty that combines various styles. It combines the charm of the Inner Mongolian grasslands with the pastoral features of Europe, creating a beautiful natural landscape that blends Chinese and Western elements.

A document records that the forest sea, peculiar peaks, grasslands, and snowy plains of Xiannv Mountain are known as the Four Wonders by tourists. Climbing the peak and looking into the distance, undulating yet still flat; Wanfeng Forest Sea, verdant and dripping; The vast grassland embedded in the mountains and forests, with wildflowers like brocade, stretching across the sky, and cattle and sheep swaying among them, is like a poem or painting; The mountains, valleys, forests, and grasslands blend seamlessly together, shining together. Give people a harmonious beauty that combines softness and masculinity.

The unique peaks and perilous passes of Xiannv Mountain form an exquisite and unparalleled cultural landscape. Tourists ride horses and cruise along winding jungle paths, weaving and galloping in the vast forest sea, allowing you to enjoy the rich southern Xinjiang scenery alone; Driving a go kart or off-road vehicle wildly on the vast track, allowing you to unleash your unrestrained desires to the fullest. It can truly be described as' enjoying the beautiful scenery in the valley and indulging in the wild passion '.

The sightseeing of Xiannv Mountain lasted for a whole morning, and then the reporter's group drove away from Xiannv Mountain from the west gate of the scenic area. On the way from the west of Xiannv Mountain to Wulong, there was a section that happened to follow the Wujiang River. The car is driving on a mountain road, overlooking the rolling and winding Wujiang River on one side. The feeling of being relaxed and happy is truly delightful.

After having lunch in Wulong County at noon, we headed towards the second scenic spot, Furong Cave. Furong Cave and Xiannv Mountain are exactly opposite directions, and we need to travel southeast along the river from Wulong County. When I came down from Xiannv Mountain, I once overlooked a parallel section of the Wujiang River on the mountainside. On the way to Furong Cave, I followed the Wujiang River and then turned into its tributary, the Furong River.

The Furong River flows into the Wujiang River at the mouth of the Wulong River, with a total length of 231 kilometers, and is the largest tributary of the Wujiang River. The river is 35 kilometers long and is mainly composed of typical large-scale "U" - shaped canyons. This section of the river has formed beautiful high gorge and flat lake scenic spots on both sides. Leaving the county town, after more than half an hour's drive, we arrived at the Furong Cave Scenic Area located on the banks of the Furong River.

It is said that dreams are unpredictable, but when people enter the Furong Cave, the mysterious and ever-changing scenery is even more amazing than dreams! Furong Cave was once rated as one of the six most beautiful karst caves in China by National Geographic of China. The cave was discovered by local villagers in 1993. The main cave is 2700 meters long with a total area of 37000 square meters, of which the "Glorious Hall" covers an area of 11000 square meters, making it the most spectacular. Inside the cave, there are stone waterfalls and curtains that are 15 meters wide and 21 meters high. The smooth and jade like stalagmites, as well as the sparkling curled stones and stone flowers, are very rare.

Furong Cave in Wulong, Chongqing, is the only "cave" in China to be nominated for "World Natural Heritage" status. Its vast cave body and rich cave sediments not only have conquered cave experts from various countries, but also attracted many tourists who come for sightseeing. At 13:15 on June 27, 2007 (Beijing time), at the 31st World Heritage Conference held in Christchurch, New Zealand, the "South China Karst Karst" World Natural Heritage project was unanimously approved. Wulong Karst, together with Yunnan Shilin and Guizhou Libo Karst, was officially included in the World Natural Heritage List as "South China Karst".

Furong Cave is divided into three major scenic areas. The first scenic area focuses on colorful and high-profile scenery, while the second and third scenic areas emphasize science and color reproduction of nature as the main theme. There are numerous attractions inside the cave, with more than 30 main scenic spots in the step-by-step view. Among them, there are more than ten top-level scenic spots at home and abroad, especially the giant stone waterfall with a width of 15.76 meters and a height of 21.04 meters; A coral pool with an area of 32 square meters and a water depth of 0.8 meters, in the vigorous growth period; The 'Source of Life' with a length of 120 centimeters and a circumference of 124 centimeters; The king of flourishing stone flowers; The five unique canine tooth crystal flower stones in the world are rare treasures of cave landscapes.

After arriving at the Furong Cave Scenic Area, the journalist and his team immediately felt the scorching heat outside the air-conditioned car. However, when entering the Furong Cave, the constant temperature of 16 degrees is inevitably somewhat chilling. However, with the appearance of various strange cave wonders in front of us, it immediately made people feel overwhelmed.

What is presented to people are layered stone flowers and rows of stalagmites. They are formed entirely by the water seeping out from the rock wall, drop by drop, over time. The stone curtains and stalagmites of different sizes and shapes are like exquisite works of art, evoking vivid imagination. If carefully examined, they will reveal realistic humanistic content.

The only plants growing in Furong Cave are ferns and mosses. Currently, 11 species have been discovered in the Dragon Palace. It is said that the bracts of these plants were conceived billions of years ago during the same period as dinosaurs, and they experienced long periods of darkness. The landscape of silver threads and jade threads refers to the delicate, hair like, and root like crystal flowers and curled stones on the cave walls. The crystal flowers in Furong Cave are white in color and delicate in shape. Its large number and distribution area make it the largest among all caves in the country.

It is reported that after long-term exploration and scientific research by scientists from more than 20 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Austria, Canada, and China, it has been confirmed that Furong Cave is not only a large cave with extremely high tourism and scientific research value, but also a huge cave group consisting of a large number of vertical shafts and flat caves developed around it - Furong Cave Cave Group, making it one of the world's three largest caves, along with the "Mammoth Cave" in the United States and the "Crams Cave" in France.
