My mother is a travel enthusiast who has almost visited all the beautiful rivers and mountains in our country, but she has never been to Chongqing. Taking advantage of the National Day holiday, my mother, with great kindness, decided to invite me to travel to Chongqing.

The "8D Magic City" definitely lives up to its reputation, with over 10000 elevated bridges and every unintentional turn is shaped like a love for you;

Light rail passing through buildings, cable car commuting, and third level roads, please always remind yourself that 'this is not the first floor' when arriving in Chongqing;

Spicy hotpot and Chongqing noodles are not enough to eat, even Chongqing people are "not the spiciest, only spicier";

And there are brightly lit streets and endless drizzle

Good looking, delicious, and easy to take photos, this is Chongqing!

Travel time: Three days and four nights (10.2-10.5)

Two person expenses: About 4500 yuan

First Party: Play

Day1 Wulong Tiankeng Ground Seam

Although Wulong is a district in Chongqing, it is quite far from the city center. We signed up a one-day tour group in Wulong. We started from Monument to the people's Liberation at 7:00 in the morning, and then jogged on the bus for about three hours before arriving at the destination, almost folding our old waist. It is said that this is still a situation where there is no traffic jam. If there is traffic jam, a round trip may end in one day.

It has to be said that sinkholes and crevices are more suitable for young people to play, and older people may have some difficulty walking. The ground seam is fine, but walking down the sinkhole is really tiring. However, there are people carrying bamboo poles on the mountain, and from top to bottom, it costs 400 yuan per person. This is the only transportation option after entering the scenic area. If you can't walk, you have to spend some money!

【 Ground Seam 】 Play time: 3 hours Recommended score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our first stop is the Longshui Gorge, which is the most unique scenery among the mountains and rivers I have ever seen. The steep rock walls, magical fissures, and bell ringing waterfalls are both beautiful and magnificent, with a balance of grandeur and magnificence. (Suddenly feeling that my vocabulary is too limited, let's just go straight to the picture above!)

When we went there, it happened to be the wet season with a particularly large amount of water. Even when walking on the boardwalk, there will always be some places dripping water. When you arrive at the nearest place to the waterfall, the splashing water is like a heavy rain, rushing towards you from all directions in a disorderly manner. It is almost impossible not to get wet. So, someone who has been here tells you that a thick raincoat is very practical, providing both shelter from rain and wind. If you are really in a hurry and haven't had time to prepare, at least bring an umbrella, otherwise you are likely to escape the fate of being drenched.

【 Location of 'Curse of the Golden Flower' - Tiankeng 】 Duration: 4.5 hours Recommended Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you often play with tour groups, you must have heard the saying: 'Three parts of the scenery should be seen, seven parts should be thought of.'. To be honest, I don't think the "three natural bridges" in Tiankeng are very similar. They are just connected by a few stones between two mountains, nothing special. So what are you looking at in the sinkhole? Look at the water, the mountains, and the cracks.

Look at the water. I don't know where it is on the mountain, but there is always a spring hanging, or even just a mist, faintly visible, like a fairyland.

Look at the mountains. The karst landform has created steep mountain peaks here, some of which are lush and green, while others only have exposed rocks, satisfying the naked eye and allowing for easy photography of the scenery.

Look at the seams. Without the cover of the sky, the peaks would also lose some playfulness. It is said that nature is a masterpiece, visible in the gaps between the peaks. (Vocabulary is scarce again, please speak with pictures!)

Overall, sinkholes and crevices are still worth a visit.

Day2 Baigongguan+Liziba Light Rail+Erling Second Factory+Monument to the people's Liberation+Hongya Cave

【 Baigongguan 】 Travel time: 1 hour Recommendation index: ⭐⭐⭐

One of the places that must be visited when coming to Chongqing with elders. Of course, you can also go to Zhazidong and Martyrs' Cemetery, both of which are nearby. (During the National Day holiday, the Zhazi Cave was not open, so unfortunately I missed it.).

【 Liziba Light Rail+Eling Second Factory 】 Travel time: 2.5 hours Recommended index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you want to experience the light rail passing through buildings, you can choose to take the Light Rail Line 2. Actually, there is no need for everyone to get on the train at Liziba Station because there are so many people. You can get on the train at the first two stations and then get off at Liziba Station, so that everyone can experience it.

From Liziba Station, everyone can walk to the second factory of Erling. I highly recommend hiking here, as only by hiking can one truly experience what Chongqing's third level roads look like.

At the foot of the mountain is a bustling city, while on the mountain, hidden in the shade of trees, there is also a city. This is the most magical place in Chongqing. And the Goose Ridge Second Factory is hidden on the mountaintop.

In fact, the Erling Second Factory was transformed from an abandoned banknote printing factory, which has a strong Beijing 798 feel. Because the movie 'Passing Through Your World' was filmed here, it quickly became a must visit place for artistic youth visiting Chongqing.

We entered a building, and the second floor is a place for everyone to take photos. A 12 yuan ticket with many beautiful scenery inside, you can take photos freely. If you don't like taking photos, you don't have to spend this 12 yuan at all, after all, the scenery outside is also good for free.

[Monument to the people's Liberation+Chongqing Art Museum+Hongya Cave] Travel time: 3 hours Recommended index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We didn't walk down the mountain from the second factory of Eling, but took the bus (because we were too tired) to get ready to go to Monument to the people's Liberation and Hongya Cave.

These places are not far away. You can take a bus to Monument to the people's Liberation, and then you can go from Monument to the people's Liberation to Chongqing Art Museum, and finally to Hongya Cave.

Monument to the people's Liberation is the city center and the most prosperous place in Chongqing. The Monument to the people's Liberation standing in the middle of the square is the only existing one in China. Personally, the historical significance of the Monument to the people's Liberation is far greater than its ornamental value. Moreover, this is actually a commercial district in Chongqing. If you like shopping, you can take a day to explore it. If you are as poor as me, you can go to the snack street and have something to eat.

We went to Monument to the people's Liberation at about 2:00, and then went to the Bayi Road Delicious Street to have some food, and we were ready to take the cableway. As a result, due to the large number of people, we decisively chose to give up.

At 5 p.m., walking from Monument to the people's Liberation to Hongya Cave, the Chongqing Art Museum is also a distinctive building, so it's good to take some photos.

To be honest, the Hongya Cave during the day is really boring, just a variety of food, ear picking, and so on. When night falls and the bright yellow light comes on, I immediately fall into the world of Spirited Away.

Actually, if you want to take a panoramic view of Hongyadong, it's best to go to Qiansimen Bridge. Unfortunately, we are too tired and can only choose a closer riverbank. However, the harvest was still quite fruitful.

If you go to Hongyadong during the National Day holiday, the lights are usually turned on around 6:30 pm. You can go there an hour in advance, take a stroll inside, and wait until the lights are on before going out to take a panoramic view. However, it's similar inside and it's easy to get lost. Everyone, be careful!

Finally, I would like to remind everyone not to stay until 7-8 o'clock before leaving, as there is a huge traffic jam at that time.

Day3 Graffiti Street+Ciqikou Ancient Town

On the last day, we didn't have much schedule because we had to catch the 8 pm flight.

Our hotel is located near Ciqikou. After strolling through the graffiti street in the morning, we checked out at noon and left our luggage at the hotel in the afternoon. Walking to Ciqikou is a perfect route.

【 Graffiti Street 】 Play time: 2 hours Recommended index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Take bus No. 823 and get off at Huangjueping Station, where you can see residential buildings painted with various patterns and colors.

Graffiti Street is a paradise for young people and photography enthusiasts, and the entire street is filled with a youthful atmosphere. Although it is slightly far from the city center, it is still possible to go there.

【 Ciqikou Ancient Town 】 Travel time: 3 hours Recommended index: ⭐⭐⭐

In fact, Ciqikou Ancient Town used to be a dock, so it is said that whenever Chongqing floods, this place will be the first to be submerged.

The commercial atmosphere of Ciqikou is very strong now, and the whole street is filled with various small shops, except for the stilted houses, which are very similar to the Dayan Ancient Town in Lijiang.

However, on the second floor of the stilted house, there are many small bars where young men and women sing folk songs, holding guitars and sitting by the window. It is indeed very attractive (the young men's looks are more seductive than their singing).

Second Party: Creating

Hot Pot

I don't really have much say in this area as I don't eat spicy food. But everyone has come, how could we miss a hot pot meal.

Chongqing's hotpot restaurants are everywhere, ranging from high-end internet famous shops to rudimentary roadside stalls, each with its own unique flavor.

We ate at a hot pot restaurant near Ciqikou Ancient Town. The first time we had oily dishes, I felt very uncomfortable. The aroma was indeed fragrant, but the greasy feeling was also unbearable.

At first, I thought 'Hmm, it's not as spicy as it's rumored!' But as I continued eating, it became increasingly spicy, until my brain went numb and my mouth spewed flames. In the end, I had to give up.

It has to be said that this was not a very good hotpot experience.

Chongqing Xiaomian

Before coming to Chongqing, what I was most looking forward to was not hotpot but small noodles. So after arriving in Chongqing, a bowl of small noodles every day is essential.

Chongqing small noodles are not expensive, and you can eat a lot for 7-8 yuan, which is quite rare.

After entering the store, as long as you tell the boss that you want something slightly spicy, most people can eat it, and the taste is just right. There are numbing and spicy flavors, and the chemical reaction formed between the two in the mouth is fragrant! Moreover, there are many small noodles in Chongqing, but each one has its own unique taste. Therefore, if you are also a fan of small noodles, you can try different restaurants every day. Each restaurant is definitely different.

Bayi Road Delicious Street

As for the snack street, the most famous one is the "Bayi Road Delicious Street" near Monument to the people's Liberation. We ate several good restaurants. Except that the "one sour cow" that was blown out was very ordinary, everything else was pretty good.

Brown Sugar Cake

I had a brown sugar rice cake in Ciqikou Ancient Town, which was very creamy. This store is quite easy to find because there are a lot of people queuing up, and there is a big brother at the entrance who keeps shouting, it's like a replica of the "human suona". So, it shouldn't be difficult to find.

Sour and Spicy Powder

Among all the sour and spicy noodles I've tried, this one is definitely the tastiest and thickest, hahaha!

Third Party: Sleep

It has to be said that going to Chongqing for vacation is simply burning money. It costs 300 yuan to take a standard room at random, and you can't even think about taking the hotel near Monument to the people's Liberation for 400 yuan. So if you go during holidays, hotels must be booked in advance, booked in advance, booked in advance.

The best location is near Monument to the people's Liberation (or near the light rail. We live near the Ciqikou Light Rail Station, which is convenient to take a bus). A home stay with good evaluation is the right way.

The current homestay is really great, the decoration is very stylish, and the location is okay. I recommend it if the walls are cracked. If there are fewer people, you can choose one bedroom and one living room. If there are more people, you can choose a larger one. In short, there is always one that suits you.

Fourth Party: Travel Tips

💗 Before traveling, check the weather in advance. In mountainous areas with heavy rain and fog, it is best to bring an umbrella and raincoat, and you can also prepare a pair of rain boots (if you are afraid of trouble, you can directly buy a pair locally, which is worth having for 20-30 yuan);

💗 There is a reason why Shancheng is called Shancheng. It is normal to take over 20000 steps every day, including various activities such as going up and down stairs, climbing slopes, etc. Therefore, it is not recommended for people aged 65 and above to play;

💗 Bring a few more clothes, as they are difficult to dry when wet

💗 The cost of boarding a bus in Chongqing is 2 yuan, which may be different from many other places. I suggest everyone exchange some 1 yuan change in advance, so that you don't have to rush to scan the QR code when taking the bus.

In fact, three days have basically played Chongqing. If I could play for another day, I might queue up to take a cableway and then go to the mountain city trail to have a look. Anyway, tourism always leaves some regrets, so that we can continue to yearn for it!
