Preface: Speaking of Chongqing, I have been there twice before. The first time was 12 years ago, when I went to Chongqing for an exam and also visited the Red Rock Revolution Memorial Hall, Guiyuan, and Zhou Gong Hall. The second time was at the end of 2017, when the Chongqing Guiyang Railway had not yet been opened and it took more than ten hours to take a green train to Chongqing. This trip to Chongqing is what I call a pathfinding journey, because the Chongqing Guizhou high-speed railway has already been opened, and this year's Spring Festival, Chongqing West Station Metro Line 5 and the subway loop have also been opened. It is very convenient to visit Chongqing, and I plan to use the weekend two days to familiarize myself with the road traffic, tourist attractions, and other situations in 8D city, and then take my parents to visit.

Text: This trip only lasts for two days, so when buying high-speed rail tickets, I bought the earliest high-speed rail G2882 from Anshun to Chongqing noon. On the return trip, I bought the second to last train and returned to Anshun at 8 pm. The overall time in Chongqing is only slightly longer.

Day 1, April 10th, Tongyuanmen City Wall, Chaotianmen Ferry Terminal, Danzishi

It was almost 1 noon when I arrived at Chongqing West Station. I was originally planning to take the subway to the reserved Seven Star Gang branch of Hanting Hotel to check in, but later found out that not far from the hotel was Qin Yun, the old lady who claimed to be the best noodle vendor in Chongqing, and the city wall of Tongyuan Gate. So I decided to fill my stomach first and go straight to play before returning to the hotel.

We're not sure how to rate this first, but the taste does suit our taste. Two liang of mixed noodles cost 14 yuan, and the price is decent.

Across the road is the Tongyuanmen City Wall, with some reliefs under the wall, some green plants on the wall, and many old men and women playing poker on it. It's definitely Chongqing style.

Coming down from the city wall, I saw the signs of scenic spots, and later discovered that various museums, cultural relics buildings, parks, cultural districts, and so on in Chongqing all have such signs.

Next, according to the plan, we went to the former site of the Xinhua Daily branch and the former site of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. After checking the map, we found that they were not too far apart, so we decided to walk there. Through practice, we found that in Chongqing, we can combine mobile maps with looking at road signs to avoid getting lost. The map can determine our direction, and the road signs can check whether the road we are on is correct.

Unfortunately, there were notices of closed construction hanging on both old sites. It is likely that most of the red ruins are undergoing repairs to welcome the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with a brand new appearance. After taking a few outdoor photos, we headed to Chaotianmen Pier.

The navigation may not be accurate when going to the dock. You can first navigate to Raffles City and directly cross over to it to follow the instructions to get to the dock.

As soon as I entered Chaotianmen Square, a variety of two river cruise ship sales came, and I didn't have that much money. I just sat on the shore and spent 5 yuan to buy a ferry ticket to Danzishi.

Ferry Tip: This ferry is operated by Chongqing Transportation Group and has several routes with ticket prices ranging from 5 yuan to 20 yuan. You can scan the QR code to board the ship. The route is short, but as an experience, you can take it to Chaotianmen Pier 2. After arriving at the square, follow the signs to the shore. To the right is a sightseeing cruise ship, and to the left is a short walk to see it.

This is the dock

The ship has two levels, one is the cabin and the other is open-air with seats

The ferry is very fast, and it only takes a few minutes to reach the Danzishi Pier on the other side. Then I went to Danzishi Old Street to take a stroll. It was said to be an old street and felt like a newly-built commercial complex, but there were only a few old buildings. Some of the shots could still capture beautiful photos, but I have never been interested in this type of place. I simply walked around and took a few photos before taking the subway back.

I originally planned to go to Hongyadong to see the night view at the next stop, but due to walking too much, I wanted to go back and rest, so I cancelled the trip. Anyway, the route has been figured out, let's come back next time.

On the way back to the hotel, I bought Le Xiaoji bowl bowl chicken for a group purchase of a single meal. It costs 16 yuan with 15 skewers, one chicken soup rice, one brown sugar ice powder. A girl has had enough.

Return to the hotel to rest.

Day 1, April 10, the exhibition hall of the provisional government of the Republic of Korea, Monument to the people's Liberation, Teyuan (the exhibition hall of the Chinese Democratic Parties), Guiyuan, Eling Park

When I woke up in the morning, I consulted the front desk and they said that the hotel does not have a restaurant and can provide takeout service. I ordered a small noodle dish and checked out after finishing my meal.

Go to the first stop, the Temporary Government Exhibition Hall of the Republic of Korea. Alright, I admit that I'm not very interested in Korean history, so I'll just wander around. However, I found a free cultural and museum map here, so I'll take one with me.

On the way to take the bus, I passed by the tomb of General Bamanzi and looked at the introduction, but I still didn't know much. If I saw it, I could visit it, so I went down to the tomb chamber to take a look. However, currently there is only one tomb and a few inscriptions, and there is no textual or visual introduction, so I still haven't been able to understand.

Here I took the wrong bus and took the opposite direction. I wanted to get off the bus in Chongqing and found that the first stop was quite long. I pulled down two intersections directly. I was embarrassed. I walked a little to find the platform and reached the Ciqi Street. I was ready to see the ruins of the bombing. It was Ciqi Street, near Monument to the people's Liberation, not Ciqikou. Then it's closed for maintenance, okay. Walking to take photos of Monument to the people's Liberation, it seems that Chongqing is doing some cultural tourism propaganda.

After clocking in, you need to make an appointment to go to the special park. However, there are not many people, just scan the code on site to make an appointment. On the left is the mansion of democratic figure Xian Ying, also known as Teyuan due to its unique character. It was a place where the Communist Party of China and the Democratic Party discussed national affairs during the Anti Japanese War and was not open when they went there. On the right is the Exhibition Hall of the Chinese Democratic Party, which has four floors. The first floor is the prologue, and the second, third, and fourth floors are introductions to the eight democratic parties in China and the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce. After reading it, it was found that many of the top experts in China are democratic party members. The time relationship is very rough, I am planning to visit again in detail next time.

Turning from Teyuan, you will come to Zhongshan Fourth Road, where Guiyuan, Yiyuan, Zhou Gongguan, and others are all located. Unfortunately, Guiyuan is also under renovation, but it is better to keep it open for visitors. When I went there, there happened to be a team, so I followed along and listened to the explanation. In 1945, the negotiations between the representatives of the Communist Party of China and the Nationalist Government were held in this room. The outcome of the negotiations was an agreement reached between the two sides on peaceful nation building, military construction, etc., known as the "Minutes of the Talks between the Government and the Representatives of the Communist Party of China", also known as the "Double Tenth Agreement". Of course, later on, the Kuomintang unilaterally tore up the agreement and launched a civil war, which will be discussed later.

Because I already knew that Zhou Mansion was closed for maintenance before coming here, I found this most beautiful sign of Zhongshan Fourth Road and took a photo. Then I went to have lunch and chose pickled pepper chicken rice, which is also a Chongqing specialty.

After finishing my meal, I went to the last planned stop, Goose Ridge Park. It didn't seem far away, but because it was always uphill, I chose to take a shuttle bus and go directly to the park gate. The previous stop was the popular check-in spot for Goose Ridge Second Factory, but I didn't go.

Walk slowly up the park road and you won't need too much time to reach many of the scenic spots mentioned in the guides. You no longer need tickets, but because I'm lazy, I didn't climb to the top floor to enjoy the panoramic view of Chongqing.

The remaining time is spent strolling in the park to pass the time, and then taking the high-speed train home from Chongqing West Station.

I found many of these direct drinking water dispensers in Chongqing

Afterword: This time I went to Chongqing, some places I wanted to go couldn't be reached due to maintenance, and some places I didn't go to because I was lazy. However, I became familiar with the transportation of the places I wanted to go to, which laid a foundation for my next visit. From a small town like Anshun, there aren't many places to go on weekends, and I don't know where I'll go next time.
