On October 2, 2019, in this hot season, we chose to go to the bustling city of Chongqing.
The food at Sichuan Airlines is quite good, and they even provide brown sugar pot helmets. (The phone is on the luggage rack...)
I arrived in Chongqing that evening and took the light rail directly from the airport to the city center. The scenery along the way was fantastic!
We chose the hotel near Monument to the people's Liberation, but the hotel we stayed in was not recommended. It was expensive and small, and had no other advantages except good geographical location.
There shouldn't be too many people at Monument to the people's Liberation that day. It's really a sea of people. However, I sincerely praise the Chongqing Tourism Bureau. The tourist diversion is very well done, and I feel that there are many people, but they are orderly amidst chaos. I will ask for directions carefully and explain them to you. The staff who have worked hard to guide us, and the police standing guard everywhere, truly feel at ease.
That night, we served a bowl of sour and spicy noodles to inform our stomachs that Chongqing had arrived! Okay, here's the signature sour and spicy noodles again. There are so many people queuing up, but the taste is extremely spicy and delicious. The noodles are very strong and can't stop eating, but I still need a bowl of ice powder to soothe the spiciness. Then we were busy eating snacks and queuing up, forgetting to take photos. (It's so delicious that it's in an alley near Monument to the people's Liberation. It's just that there are so many people that they queue up with the crowd. They don't choose Bayi Snack Street.)
We randomly selected a youth travel agency near Monument to the people's Liberation. The newspaper group went to Wulong, and the price was slightly higher. After all, it was eleven.
The next day, we bought a bag of bread for breakfast because we had to leave at 7 o'clock in the morning. Regret it! No need at all, the breakfast at the gathering point is not too good. The noodle shop is also open in the morning, and you can also choose various breakfast options in the breakfast cart.
Some snacks will be recommended on the tourist bus, but we are going to Wal Mart to buy special products, so we didn't buy them. The taste is OK.
When we arrived in Wulong, it was already noon. We recommend having a group meal with everyone. The dishes are diverse and the taste is good, with both meat and vegetables available. The food is served quickly, the price is moderate, and the cost-effectiveness is extremely high.
On that day, there were many people in Wulong Scenic Area, constantly queuing up, queuing up, queuing up. However, we told ourselves that 'this is a different experience, others have never seen so many people before, it's numbing ourselves'....
The glass walkway (viewing platform) at the entrance of the scenic spot is not recommended. It's very small and crowded, so it's inconvenient to take photos. It's not worth paying for it alone.
The tour guide said that we had to queue for 2 hours to take the elevator down the mountain, so we didn't take the elevator down the mountain and chose to walk. The distance was not far, so it was considered as exercise. In April, a friend went to play and said there weren't many people
The movie and television city in the canyon looks beautiful, but there are too many people, so it doesn't have the feeling of a fairy warrior. I didn't squeeze past the Transformers, all of them were children, and queuing up for admission took up all my patience.
Looking up in the canyon is still very shocking, admiring the amazing craftsmanship of nature, truly deserving of being a sinkhole and a fissure. This scenic spot is quite worth visiting, with fresh air and pleasant scenery.
Everyone must wear good sports shoes! It's better to have a hat and a waterproof top, as it requires some physical strength. Bring some water and food, as there are no food options available in the scenic area.
We returned to the city center around 8 pm that afternoon and parked at the Jiaochangkou night market, only to discover that there were also a lot of snacks inside. Recommended for Xiao Pao's freshly fried crispy meat, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a fragrant pepper aroma. When we left, we even sealed some and took them home on the spot.
For dinner, we chose Wushan Paper Wrapped Fish (Monument to the people's Liberation Store). The store is located in an alley, which is not easy to find. There are not many people (compared with other hotpot stores). Fresh and flavorful fish meat, crispy on the outside and sticky on the inside; I highly recommend soaking radish, which is sour, spicy, and delicious. The shop owner also gave us a free extra serving.
When we returned home from dinner, there were finally not many people near Monument to the people's Liberation, so we could take photos and walked 1 meter ahead of Monument to the people's Liberation.
The third day is the real check-in day. The transportation in Chongqing is particularly convenient, with the entire subway journey leading to the destination without traffic jams. The speed is also fast, making it a city suitable for public transportation. If there is a chance, you can sit at the front or back of the subway, which feels peculiar.
Breakfast started with chubby girl's small noodles and pea mixed noodles. We went at 7 o'clock, and there weren't many people. The noodles were numbing and fragrant, and the taste still lingered after returning home. (This kind of standalone chubby girl noodle shop tastes better than the ones in Bayi Snack Street)
I took the subway to the Crown Escalator to check in first. Please prepare for a fee of 2 yuan each time. (I don't feel like I need to clock in specially, I have no personal experience)
Change to the subway at Crown Escalator Station and head to Ciqikou.
It was raining heavily in Chongqing that day, but the enthusiasm of tourists couldn't be stopped. They had to queue up at the entrance of the magnet, feeling shoulder to shoulder.
There are interesting small shops on the small street of Ciqikou, some of which you can stroll around and buy small items. There are also many bars where you can see a little brother playing guitar and singing from the window. (It was raining rainstorm, so it was impossible to take photos. We recorded Shuai Yan with our eyes.)
At noon, we chose to go eat Yangma Hot Pot first, and around 11 o'clock, we went to eat Hot Pot, so the queue time was slightly shorter. It pairs better with hot pot on rainy days!
The hotpot tastes good, and the duck blood is tender; We bravely tried brainstorming, it's so fragrant, opening up a new world; I love goose intestines the most and they are very competitive; The shrimp slide is filled with shrimp inside; Recommended Plum juice, delicious. Overall, it's pretty good! (The rainstorm almost collapsed the ceiling)
After finishing hotpot, I thought about using yogurt to turn oil. Not far away, there is Gesang's yogurt, which is a Tibetan yogurt with good taste, a great store environment, and Tibetan style decoration. However, the beverage price is slightly higher and the cost-effectiveness is lower.
The essential ingredient for a magnetic mouth is a variety of snacks with blurred vision, and our goal is to go straight to this topic.
This ancient town baked rice cake is crispy on the outside and sticky on the inside. It's my first time eating this kind of food and has a burnt aroma. I love it. This white and chubby one, um It's a bit cute.
The first time eating bean cake, it is sweet but not greasy, melts in the mouth, and is particularly delicious when it is hot.
We have tried all kinds of flavors, but why do we feel that they all taste a bit similar? (I feel that if people buy two less pieces to taste, they should just try it, don't buy too much)
While people were jostling around, I discovered grilled ice cream and had a fresh one. The food has a high aesthetic value and is quite cute, but it doesn't have my favorite chocolate flavor, so I feel that the cost-effectiveness is not strong.
After we had eaten and drunk, we stopped by on our way to the hotel and checked in at Liziba.
On the way back to the hotel, I also took a look at the art museum. The hotel is very close and we often pass by, but it's not open. It looks better at night.
That evening, we were going to see the night view of Hongya Cave. Due to the large number of people entering Hongya Cave and the terrifying queue, we didn't have any scenic spots and chose to go to the opposite bank to see the night view. (Somewhat regretful)
It must be praised again that the tourist diversion in Chongqing is really well done, very orderly and without queuing, it can directly reach the opposite bank.
Super like the scenes in Hayao Miyazaki's animated series, the night view of Chongqing is really great.
Because there are too many people traveling by boat, we didn't choose to take a boat trip. It's also nice to see it this way.
Because it rained all day that day, I was pleasantly surprised to discover another beautiful scenery. Chongqing is really a foggy city, with high-rise buildings falling straight into the mist, making me think of clouds deep and nowhere to be found.
For dinner, we went to the snack street again (not Bayi Snack Street, located next to it). Grilled pork ribs, roasted pig trotters, ice cream, Mr. Bao's pork floss and scallops, milk tea, chicken feet are all available. It feels like everything is delicious without any surprises, but queuing up makes people feel sad. Comforting oneself, 'I just love to join in the fun! Hmph!!!' (All can be group purchased)
Early in the morning of the the fourth day, we chose the old street glutinous rice ball. The environment of this store is small, fresh and warm.
We also had the crispy and savory oil tea with bent legs for the first time, and drank it to keep our stomachs warm. Old street glutinous rice balls have a rich and layered taste, crispy and sticky, and are delicious to eat. (Seeing a lot of takeout, if we had known to order takeout, we thought there were too many tourists and felt embarrassed to order takeout)
After breakfast, continue your check-in journey.
Take the subway to Zhongshuge. We went early, almost the first batch to enter. This place is very suitable for taking photos. Actually, there aren't many people reading books, and the environment is very good with a strong sense of design. There are a lot of buying items inside, but the price is slightly higher.
You must clock in at Chuanmei.
Walking through Graffiti Street is Chuanmei, go take a look over there. I don't feel very familiar with art, but my friend is taking pictures vigorously.
The traffic teahouses often visited by various variety shows are on the graffiti street, which is exactly the same in the variety show.
But we didn't have time to go in and sit down, so we took a look and saw the crowds inside. We had to pay our admission tickets before we could enter.
At the street corner, I couldn't help but buy another fried crispy meat to replenish my energy. The taste was okay, but it felt better than the one at Changkou.
Then, we hurriedly went to the museum and the auditorium.
It is better to take photos from a distance in the auditorium, as it is not allowed to enter.
Entry to the museum requires a provincial certificate, free admission, and luggage storage. The museum is quite large, and it would take us about 2 hours to see it casually. When going to a museum, you must watch the time carefully. There are movies, but we missed them.
At noon, we went to have a delicious meal (there were too many people at other restaurants). This restaurant is right behind the auditorium, with enthusiastic service, not too many people, and a good environment. The dishes are well served, and I recommend Sichuan peppercorn chicken and glutinous rice pork ribs. The taste is super good, but the chicken is really small, and I can feel the feeling of finding meat inside the chili. My friend ordered Gongbao Chicken, but it's definitely dangerous. Don't order it.
Out of the restaurant and through the auditorium, there is a Wal Mart. We bought a lot of specialty products, especially the ingredients of Liupo. It feels the best. This Wal Mart can deliver some goods to the door. After shopping, we take the bus directly to the hotel. (Recommended places to buy specialty products)
But! But! My friend left his phone in the restaurant, and we went back to the restaurant to get our phones (What a non-stop day)
In the evening, we went to the Mountain City Trail, a narrow stone step road with some small shops nearby. The decoration was very distinctive and worth a visit.
There is a different night view after dark. Important reminder: always wear long pants. There are too many mosquitoes after dark, and halfway through our journey, the mosquitoes are really going to eat us up. Hurry up and return. We actually don't know where this road will ultimately lead.
On the fifth day, we woke up early at Bayi Snack Street and embarked on a journey of food farewell. (I don't want to leave)
There are various types of food in Bayi Snack Street, all of which have good taste and reasonable prices.
Finally, at the airport, we ended our trip with Star Dad! (Start with eating, end with eating)
I really enjoyed this trip to Chongqing. Take a look at the strategy I made before departure. However, plans are not as good as changes, and some places have not been experienced because there are too many people and queues are needed everywhere. There are so many delicious foods in Chongqing, they are all delicious and there is no need to worry about stepping on them. The street snacks are all good. There are too many people in the must eat restaurants, and we didn't go (unfortunately). If there is still a chance to go to Chongqing, don't go on holidays.
Next time, you can visit Guanyin Bridge, Nanshan District, or Hechuan recommended by Mizijun and stay at the Jiangjing Hotel. Anyway, we all really enjoyed this trip to Chongqing.
