Not long ago, I met Guiyuan Town at Xiannv Mountain, and this time I have once again ventured into the beauty of Lazy Dam at the southern foot of Xiannv Mountain. If I have to describe this first encounter, then I think this is a gathering place for artistic inspiration, a free spirited mountain and sea of clouds, and an unrestrained paradise beyond the world~
July 4th is the day when Lazy Dam opens its garden. The weather is not good, with continuous rain and heavy fog in the mountains. However, it is precisely because of this rainy day that I have seen a completely different view of Lazy Dam from last year. The mist on the mountain is hazy, and a sea of clouds suddenly appears. The green mountains in the area are hidden and faintly visible! Such a magnificent sea of clouds is truly a feast for the eyes~
Lazy Dam, at its core, is a gathering place for art. When you come here, you must remember that "everyone is an artist". The seeds of art take root and sprout here, and the traditional cultural context continues here. Nature, art, and culture coexist harmoniously. Lazy Dam has created an experiential vacation destination for our hearts, spirits, and bodies.
Through this "Everyone is an Artist" exhibition, I have gained a slightly deeper understanding of Lazy Dam. The core of this exhibition is divided into "Future", "Spirit Child", and "Wind and Things", showcasing the charm of thinking art from different dimensions! If you come to Lazy Dam, remember to go to the art museum and take a good look at these artworks~
In the "Futurama" section, all works belong to the artist's creative achievements, such as "Waves Beating", "Interactive Installation", and "Another Style of Chen's Tai Chi". Art comes from life and is higher than life. When appreciating these works, there is no need to dwell on their internal logic, feel their frequency, and the novelty they bring~
The part of 'Lingtong' is a finished product created by the children's gate of Huiling Institution, with bright colors, bold and casual outlines. The childlike eyes hide a fantasy world that we cannot see. The imaginative way of thinking can depict another kind of beauty. If you are willing to slow down and communicate with children, you may be able to enter another realm of thinking.
The Wind and Things Chapter mainly focuses on the cultural inheritance of Wulong, and Wulong's intangible cultural heritage is a brilliant part of it. Handmade sweet potato flour and Miao wax printing works have all made their own mark, and it is unforgettable at first glance~
This artwork is named "Idol" based on the unique "Mountain City Stick Army" in Chongqing. The terrain of climbing hills and ridges has solved many people's big problems because of the existence of this group. They have made great contributions to the urban construction of Chongqing and can be said to be a group of hardworking people. Chongqing city has also gained some flavor because of their presence.
In addition to these indoor art installations, Laziba also has a 600 acre land art garden, a Zen culture park of about 30000 square meters, a lazy village of about 20000 square meters, a Zen art town, and the Wulong Laziba International Land Art Season that runs through the entire scenic area. There are many places worth visiting, such as floating islands, heartbeat museums, bamboo music theaters, the earth falling from the sky, and the Four Seasons Flower Sea.
The Lazy Ba Resort is located on the north bank of the winding Wujiang River, at an altitude of 1025 meters. The average temperature is 15 ℃ throughout the year, surrounded by clouds and lush forests. It has a high concentration of negative oxygen ions and is an ideal natural oxygen bar. Walking on the winding road, there are blooming flowers, plants, and trees on both sides, and the fragrance of soil and grass is in my breath. The distant mountains smile in the sea of clouds, and the humidity in the air seems to carry water droplets. I am happy like a child in it.
There are many places worth checking in at Lazy Dam, and perhaps the most famous is this giant Marit. From the back, this is a lonely silhouette, staring blankly at the distant mountains and sea of clouds. From the front, there is a feeling of jumping into a fairy tale world, meeting the giants in the jungle of life. This may be the most popular spot for internet celebrities to check in, and taking photos with giants is also fashionable. In addition to this, there are also two giants hidden in the woods behind us. Unfortunately, the fog was too thick that day, and we actually found the wrong direction. It's really regrettable!
Next to the giant is the Heartbeat Museum, where you can take off your shoes and record your own heartbeat. Look at the sound of your heart beating, that melody belongs to you, a unique existence! Ding dong ding dong, the sound of the heart beating, that is the most vivid rhythm of life~
The Bamboo Music Theater is a place worth savoring. It is the result of Japanese artist Akira Matsumoto, and is a place of artistic reproduction for craftsmen. 37 types of 112 bamboo instruments are performed in this 50 year old house to create a magical theater. The most interesting thing is that when people approach these devices, they will start performing and emit beautiful notes.
Sitting outside drinking tea, listening to the crisp sound of the bamboo wind forest, all kinds of sounds seem to go back to childhood. At that time, my grandfather made a living by weaving bamboo strips, and his exquisite craftsmanship made his backpacks and bamboo hats sell very well. In his spare time, he would also weave some toys for me such as grasshoppers and birds~The happiness at that time was truly incomparable!
On the slope of Zhuyin Theater, there is a "distant place", with cliffs behind it and endless green mountains stretching out. The sea of clouds entangles endlessly. Taking photos here also gives a great feeling. Everyone has their own distant places that they cannot reach, but can the distance really only be in the distance? The answer to this question can only be solved by oneself!
There are many succulents and various cactus cactus cactus balls in the Moss Museum. Don't miss this place if you like green plants~
Next to it is the earth falling from the sky. This museum is my favorite place, and it is also the largest immersive clay painting. It is a painting created by Japanese artist Yusuke Asai using various colors of clay from the local area of Wulong, gathering the efforts of everyone to create a wonderful fairy tale world.
Lie down on the sand cushion in the middle, empty yourself, stare at the painting on your head, close your eyes as if you can enter this world. Imagine yourself becoming an elf among them, wandering and running with a group of small animals in the forest, joyful and happy!
The floating island is another scene, which originates from the beautiful and romantic works of French artists. When I arrived, there was no blue sky or white clouds, but the damp pink and white grass and the beautiful clouds and mist covered the mountains formed a fairyland in the clouds. The hanging basket looked particularly lonely in the midst of green grass and clouds. Imagine the pink flowers blooming in September, a pink ocean, and a beautiful girl sitting on the swing with a smile on her face. How beautiful the scene must be~
If I don't say it, you may not know that "Floating Island" and "Slot Machine Restaurant" are actually places to eat. Floating Island "floats on the edge of a cliff and only serves 16 people per meal; However, 'Slot Machine Restaurant' is hidden by the forest and can only survive by playing games. It's also particularly interesting. The ingredients in this restaurant are all sourced from the local area of Wulong, and the dishes are exquisite French cuisine. We hope you can also personally experience this romance~
The Moon Museum, located at the highest point of Lazy Dam, is the easiest place to produce science fiction films and the only lunar museum in China. This is a work by British artist Luke Jerram, made in a scale of 1:500000 based on real data provided by NASA. Here, you are only a little bit away from the moon, and distant and outer space are within reach~
The Moon Museum is near the Zen Culture Park, and the Meditation Temple, the Third Buddha Hall, the Herbalist's Glaze Hall and the the Shakya ManiHall are also nearby. Unfortunately, the Jingxin Temple is not fully open for the time being, and I haven't been able to clock in at many places. I hope I can come here to experience Zen culture in the future.
The melancholic drizzle kept falling, and the clouds and mist sometimes dispersed and sometimes became so dense that nothing could be seen. Looking down from a high place, the Lazy Dam Art Museum truly deserved the title of "Cloud Art Museum"! I'm glad I didn't give up on this trip due to the weather. No matter how sunny or rainy it is, Lazy Dam can show you a different beauty~
If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and the busyness of dealing with steel and concrete, why not take some time to drive to Xiannv Mountain, spend a weekend in the mountains at Lazy Dam, enjoy the wind and rain, talk to flowers and plants, take a walk in the works of artists, and maybe after completely relaxing, you can start again with high spirits!
