Putting down my luggage and making some adjustments, I walked along a random path when I went out. After eating an authentic dirty noodle stall, the taste was good and the price of 15 was acceptable. Encountering an old gentleman, while chatting with him, he implied that the main street here is still expensive, and pointed to the nearby alley, 'It will be cheaper inside.' So he turned around and entered the alley, which opened his eyes.
The following picture shows the feeling of being on flat ground but actually halfway up the mountain. The buildings are all on steps one by one.
The distance between buildings in Chongqing is too close, isn't it! Adding a layer of height, looking up, I feel like every place is in a foreign trade, and the oppressive feeling is not very comfortable.
Joseph's Hall
Accidentally discovered a church, quietly extending its spire between tall buildings. There was a hotel sign hanging outside the quaint and elegant door, so we bravely entered the courtyard quietly. I feel that in such a location, this courtyard should be considered a luxurious existence. There is actually a flower bed of several square meters on the right side, with a statue standing inside. Because she didn't understand religious knowledge, she didn't take a photo rashly. Sister Wu said it was a statue of Jesus and looked sympathetically at the people coming in and out. Inside the church are stained glass windows and chandeliers made in the shape of small candles
A clock with a strong sense of time, or a clock shaped decoration,
Tall pillars and neat rows of benches.
The melodious sound of the qin drifted over, and we tiptoed along the sound. A short haired nun dressed in white was playing leisurely in the church. Other places were dark, but the light on her head formed a perfect halo. Coupled with the symmetrical arch shape, in a trance, I felt like she was an angel.
Don't dare to disturb, we listened quietly for a while and then quietly withdrew, and soon
After getting on the main road, I turned around and took a photo.
Tongyuan Gate
Without any strategy, during the search for the subway, a tall city wall suddenly appeared, with roaring soldiers, horseback riding generals, brave warriors attacking the city from the aerial ladder, and the ancient city wall forming a vivid group of sculptures. This is the Tongyuan Gate.
Through the nameplate, I know that this is the story of Zhang Xianzhong's attack on Chongqing. Although the sculpture is vivid, Zhang's harm to the people of Sichuan is truly heartbreaking. This section of the city wall is relatively well preserved, with clear lines drawn on the long steps in front of the gate, walking step by step, stepping into the story of history.
On the city wall, there are also book sharing and tea houses. If you drink tea in the wind on a night with clear clouds and sparse stars, and have two or three close friends, it will be a great joy in life.
These two places are not included in the guide. Meeting them unexpectedly is surprising.
Eighteen Stairs
In fact, meeting the Eighteen Stairs is an exception. The roads in Chongqing are really not according to common sense. We originally intended to be a circle of Monument to the people's Liberation, Bayi Food Street, Chaotianmen and Hongya Cave. The surrounding high-rise buildings really have a lively urban atmosphere. We sigh that Wangfujing is not so prosperous. Who knew that suddenly a deep depression appeared on the top of the building, looking down at the antique architecture and a sea of lights. Standing on the stage, behind the glass high-rise building was a modern neon flashing, and before our eyes were layers of clear ancient style pavilions with flying eaves and walls, it seemed like we were standing on the boundary of time and space.
After taking a look at the drop and estimating our knees, we decided to go around from the side. In fact, there is an escalator on the left side of the platform. Below are similar to other ancient streets, with the same shops and products. Equally unremarkable. The night view is beautiful, but I can't describe its unique features.
After stepping out of the eighteen staircases and following the riverside avenue to Chaotianmen, passing by the Huguang Guild Hall, I saw the night cruise ship and the famous cableway. The riverside is beautiful, with light and shadow intertwined and cool breeze blowing. There is also a viewing platform not far away, which is convenient for visitors to get up and down. I saw that there were plastic lanes even closer to the riverside, and someone was running.
It's almost eleven o'clock now. Raffles City won't have time to go up, let's take the road back home.
Scenic spot: Joseph Hall is located in a small alley not far from the hotel, and the map shows that Tongyuan Gate is near Qixinggang Station.
Cuisine: A bowl of 15 small noodles, sold at a roadside stall at the end of Minsheng Road; Thumb pan fried for 12 portions and crispy meat for about 28 portions, both bought on the roadside,
Other expenses: subway and rental, approximately 20
