I am most satisfied with this photo. I avoided crowds and took it from a high place, with rows of roofs that reflect the unique features of the eighteen staircases. I also took a night view at the same location in the hotel at night, and I felt that the night view was even more beautiful.
After walking the first half of the 18th Stairway, we left for Monument to the people's Liberation. The two scenic spots are very close. It takes about 10 minutes to walk.
The Monument to the people's Liberation is surrounded by magnificent bank buildings and modern commercial buildings.
Kuixing Tower may seem unremarkable at first glance, but its brilliance lies behind it.
Standing on the connecting bridge with Kuixing Tower Square on the left and Goldman Sachs Building on the 22nd floor on the right, it feels magical, and even better, there are very few people.
Taking the elevator down from the 22nd floor of Goldman Sachs is the riverside, and not far away is Hongyadong. This should be the nearest route from Monument to the people's Liberation to Hongya Cave. During the day, Hongyadong is just a small commodity city. I originally wanted to admire the stilted houses, but I was greatly disappointed. It only looks good when the lights are on at night. There are too many people taking photos on the opposite road, so we can only take them from the side. Unfortunately, the feeling of "Spirited Away" was not captured.
The next day, Dazu Rock Carvings, was the most important trip for me to Chongqing. I have seen the documentary introducing Dazu Rock Carvings, and I am impressed. This is the last glory of Chinese cave culture. How can I miss it in Chongqing?
The group tour can only go to Beishan Stone Carvings and Baoding Mountain Stone Carvings. It's a pity that you can't visit the other three mountain stone carvings. Next time, you can drive yourself and see the whole Dazu Rock Carvings.
The Pishamen Heavenly King below was once the patron god of Dazu Rock Carvings, and also the earliest stone carving of Dazu. The donors of Dazu stone carving can also carve statues, as shown on the side below is the respectful Wei Junjing and his wife, which is different from other cave statues. The Beishan stone carvings are funded by the donors, so some themes may be repeated, such as the Water Moon Guanyin in the following picture. Due to different donors, the forms of expression are also different, but each one is exquisite.
The scale of Baoding Mountain stone carvings is even more grand, planned and created by Zhao Zhifeng alone. The stone carvings cover a wide range of themes from daily life to Buddhism and Taoism, with exquisite carvings that leave people reluctant to leave.

This stone carved tower is 1.8 meters high and weighs over a thousand pounds. It cleverly uses architectural principles to connect the lapel and knee on the hand to form a support, truly reflecting the wisdom of ancient people.
Lying Buddha and half body Buddha are only seen in Dazu, and in other places, carving half body Buddha is generally considered disrespectful to Buddhism.
The true Thousand Armed Guanyin is said to have 1006 hands, each with a unique and exquisite design.
The most impressive aspect of visiting the Baoding Mountain stone carvings is the Yuanjue Cave. The twelve Buddha statues are exquisitely carved, with delicate facial expressions and even layers of clothing fluttering. The exquisite carving is so captivating that it leaves one reluctant to leave. The design of Yuanjue Cave also reflects the pinnacle of Tang Dynasty grotto technology. Opening a skylight diagonally above the entrance of the cave, the light is projected directly onto the Buddha, solving the problem of lighting inside the cave; The stone wall was designed with a hidden channel for water diversion. The hand held stone bowl connected the rainwater flowing into the tunnel channel from above, and then guided it into the hidden channel through the arm for discharge, solving the problem of rainwater corrosion. The stone statue has been well preserved for thousands of years, and one cannot help but marvel at the wisdom of ancient people! I lingered for a long time, reluctant to leave.
Day 3: Chongqing Museum - Liziba - Ciqikou - Raffles City - Chaotianmen - Hotel
The schedule for this day is relatively easy, going to bed early and waking up naturally. Every time I go to a city, museums are a must visit. The Chongqing Museum is not very big and can be visited in just 3 hours. The journey from ancient Ba Yu culture to Chongqing city, as well as the magnificent Three Gorges and Chongqing's anti Japanese war years, Chongqing, as the wartime capital, experienced seven years of indiscriminate bombing, which makes people feel heavy hearted.
Chongqing was called Yuzhou during the Sui Dynasty, so it is abbreviated as Yu.
The auditorium directly across from the museumComing out of the museum, next to it is the famous Light Rail Line 2. Take a two stop ride to Liziba and drive on the elevated bridge along the river. The scenery is beautiful when you casually take pictures.
Passing through Liziba Station was very interesting. Looking down from the car, there were many people taking photos at the roadside observation deck. As the saying goes, 'You are also a scenery', I got off the car and joined this scenic line.
This design is really clever. The pillars of the light rail and the building are independent pillars, so the vibration of the train will not cause the vibration of the building.
We chose to take a taxi from Liziba to Ciqikou. Ciqikou really didn't regret it, went to a place where I regretted even more. Completely commercialized, the main street is crowded with people. A stone paved road, with stairs leading all the way to the river and welcoming the Dragon Gate. If there were fewer people, one should be able to experience the feeling of Little Chongqing.
The hotel at the entrance has a good environment, similar to a suspended building.
Today's last stop is Raffles City. Unfortunately, the fast track from the 5th floor of Raffles City to Chaotianmen has been closed, and the Chaotianmen dock is also under construction and maintenance. It's a pity. Let's leave it for our next trip to Chongqing. We took a photo of the confluence of the two rivers at the observation deck.
The fourth day: Wulong Tiankeng Third Bridge is also an important stop of our trip to Chongqing. The round-trip journey from downtown Chongqing to Wulong takes over 6 hours. At first, I was hesitant about whether to go or not, but seeing Sanqiao was definitely worth the trip. It deserves the label of a 5A scenic spot, with rare geological wonders, majestic scenery, and pleasant views. I couldn't help but marvel at the amazing craftsmanship of nature, and I didn't feel tired anymore.
Thank you to the anonymous tour guide for teaching us the fun of taking photos. In the above picture, the three natural bridges are Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge in sequence.
Tiankeng Bridge and Tianlong Bridge have a towering and upright posture, with a wind tunnel shaped like a thumb.
The Tiankeng Second Bridge and Qinglong Bridge did not capture the grandeur of the bridges, but instead captured the image of a machete from different angles.
Turning the tide, watching carp jump over the dragon gate.
Crossing the bridge, the rocks on the roadside resemble a divine eagle.
Under the Black Dragon Bridge, spring water is left from a high place. From the front, the "Mist Spring" appears as a hazy mass of mist. Only by looking closely from the side can one see the flowing mist. Looking up at the towering cliffs, the ethereal aura is unique and ethereal.
From left to right are "Mist Spring", "Pearl Spring", and "Line Spring".
Walking in the mountains, one can see lush green mountains and clear waters.
Unconsciously, I have walked out of the Three Bridges. I am reluctant to part with the beautiful scenery in the mountains. I sit quietly by the water, empty myself, and feel at ease. It is truly unforgettable.
I ended my trip in Wulong happily. I was tired but in a beautiful mood. It was 9:00 pm when I returned to Monument to the people's Liberation.
Day 5: Yangtze River Cableway - Danzishi Old Street - Liangjiang Xiaodu - Return Airport
On Monday morning, the Yangtze River Cableway finally no longer had to wait in line. Choosing to ride the Yangtze River Cableway on this day was too wise. Flying over the Yangtze River, admiring the beautiful scenery on both sides, and thinking about leaving today, there is a lingering feeling that five days are too short. Chongqing is worth visiting again. Take a picture of the Airbus flying over from the observation deck on the south bank.
Take a taxi to Danzishi Old Street, and then do the Two Rivers Ferry back to the north bank.
Danzishi Old Street is said to be an old street, but it is actually very modern, with a unique combination of new and old. I finally don't have to climb stairs anymore, I have escalators, I feel very happy! The following picture was taken at the Danzishi Old Street Observation Deck, and it is also my favorite one.
The feeling of capturing the sky
Take a photo of Qiansimen Bridge at the South Bank Observation Deck. The following picture shows the evening version of Qiansimen Bridge.
At the end of Danzishi Old Street is Liangjiang Xiaodu Pier, which ends at Hongyadong and passes through Chaotianmen Pier. This is highly recommended and has a high cost performance ratio, with a ticket price of only 20 yuan. The key is that there are not many people taking the Liangjiang Xiaodu cruise ship.
From the cruise ship, Raffles looks like a giant ship setting sail.
Seen from the boat, the two rivers meet. In this season, the "Double-flavor hot pot" is not obvious. The naked eye can still distinguish the clear and mixed wiring on the boat, but the photos can't be taken.
Taking photos of Hongya Cave from the ship, it is indeed unremarkable during the day. Hongya Cave still has its soul when the lights are on.
My 5-day journey is coming to an end here. Chongqing, it's not an exaggeration to say it's 8D magical. Five days is too short, I can only roughly appreciate the charm of this city. When I went back to the hotel to pick up my luggage, I encountered an aerial bridge on the way.
Goodbye Chongqing! There were many regrets left during this trip, and there were still many beautiful views that were not appreciated. Chongqing is worth visiting again and exploring this magical city next time.
