Taohuayuan Scenic Area
The Peach Blossom Spring Scenic Area can be considered as the facade of the Youyang region, and basically all the tourists from Youyang come here to check in. The slogan of Peach Blossom Spring is also quite infectious: "There are two Peach Blossom Spring in the world, one in your heart and one in Youyang, Chongqing." In fact, as a fictional scene, it is difficult to distinguish whether Peach Blossom Spring really exists in the world. But Tao Yuanming used his own writing style to paint a picture of the world beyond, leading countless people to have imaginations. What kind of scenery is Peach Blossom Spring? I don't think there is a standard answer to this question. But it is precisely because of the space for imagination that later generations have become increasingly interested in Peach Blossom Spring. Our first stop for checking in is here, experiencing the mysterious Peach Blossom Spring in poetry.
The Taohuayuan Scenic Area is divided into two core blocks, one is Taikoo Cave and the other is the main scenic area of Taohuayuan. The order of sightseeing is to enter from the cave and exit from the paradise. So today our introduction sequence also starts from Taikoo Cave.
The total length of Taikoo Cave is 3.5 kilometers. It is reported that the altitude drop in the cave reaches 100 meters, making it the largest cave mass discovered in China so far. In addition to its scale, Taikoo Cave also had a significant advantage in terms of its formation time. According to relevant experts' verification, the formation of the Taikoo Cave can be traced back to 300 million years ago. This time is enough to give it a place in the karst cave world in China. In addition, due to its short discovery time, the stones in the ancient cave are well preserved. It can allow tourists to clearly and intuitively see the traces of time on Earth!
As a karst landscape, two major elements are still indispensable. One is lighting, and the other is association. Taikoo Cave has done quite well in terms of lighting, with its impressive sense of hierarchy and several scenic spots that leave a lasting impression. The following picture shows the most intense part of the lighting in Taikoo Cave. From a distance, it looks like the entire mountain is dotted with flames. Make tourists feel majestic and mysterious. Walking further inside, you will come across a space decorated with green lights, twinkling like stars, beautiful beyond measure.
Lenovo, on the other hand, is to give some irregular stones vivid stories, so that tourists can see them and leave a deep impression. This is also what all cave scenic spots do. The large golden cicada that entered the cave not long ago and the skillful hands of the Qin people are quite vivid. Especially the cicada, which can be seen from a distance and is very eye-catching. It's like a big toad squatting there, staring straight ahead, motionless!
In addition to these two points, another reason that left a deep impression on me in Taikoo Cave is the staircase here. Because of the staircase, the layers in the cave are more distinct. Using a camera to capture spaces of varying heights will make the image more dynamic and expressive!
After walking a short distance from Taikoo Cave, we arrived at the main scenic area of Taohuayuan. When we went there, the season was not the best time for the scenic area. It is reported that every year when peach blossoms are in full bloom, the Peach Blossom Spring is the most beautiful. The peach trees in the garden are in full bloom, surrounded by a sea of flowers, dancing gracefully! At this time, the Peach Blossom Spring was more about allowing tourists to appreciate the green mountains and clear waters, as well as the living conditions of some Qin people, such as bamboo workers, blacksmith craftsmen, and so on. Not only can you appreciate their work, but you can also buy the finished products they make. For example, bamboo baskets made by bamboo workers, kitchen knives made by blacksmiths, and so on, are all good souvenirs!
The most classic angle in Peach Blossom Spring is still at Meichi. In a green lake, there is an octagonal pavilion on the other side that stretches into the lake, with a light boat docked nearby. The scenic area has also carefully arranged jet ports around the beautiful lake, regularly spraying water mist onto the surface of the lake, making the beautiful lake even more surreal and wonderful!
Dreamy Peach Blossom Spring
This is a stage play created by Taohuayuan Scenic Area with great investment. It mainly portrays the history of Youyang, the beautiful natural scenery, as well as the culture and folk customs of the local Tujia ethnic group. Through the stunning sound effects and dazzling performances on stage, the audience present had a deeper impression of Youyang and gained a deeper understanding of his past and present life in just one hour.
The entire stage play is divided into 8 parts, namely "Escape and Discovery of Peach Blossom Spring", "Rural Percussion Music", "There are many beautiful women in Peach Blossom Spring", "Mysterious Tima Song", "Carnival of Maogusi", "Love in Peach Blossom Spring", "Peach Blossom Spring Crying Wedding Song", and "Dreamy Peach Blossom Spring". These chapters all depict the most unique charm of the land of Youyang and the Tujia ethnic group. This also reflects local customs, such as crying for marriage, Tujia hand waving dance, and other authentic local customs. Let tourists have a great time!
The most impressive part of this is the sacrificial scene in the "Mysterious Tima Song". In fact, the sacrifices of ancient people were very particular and unprecedented in scale. In the performance, the people of Wuling, who are fond of ghosts and witches, looked forward to the collision of their souls and divine figures. Their devout worship transformed into an invisible bond, building a bridge for communication between humans and gods. And these seemingly superstitious things are the sincere gratitude of the villagers in Peach Blossom Land for the generous gifts from nature, as well as their beautiful wishes for good weather, abundant crops, and prosperous people and livestock in the coming year.
The crying wedding is also very popular throughout the entire drama. Crying for marriage is a traditional custom of the Tujia ethnic group, where they integrate crying lyrics into their singing and hum them out in authentic tones. Crying marriage expresses the mother's reluctance and many instructions towards a girl when she leaves home. This has similarities with some of the procedures used in modern Chinese weddings. Culture knows no borders or races. Watching other people's programs, feeling one's own life, and tasting the same flavor. This is the intersection of human nature!
Dreamy Peach Blossom Spring not only put effort into stage construction, but also in lighting. We also considered the arrangement of the program and ultimately decided to achieve zero distance interaction with the audience on certain programs. In the wedding chapter, the actor invites a male audience member to come on stage and complete the wedding ceremony together. At the end of the play, there is also a so-called lucky ball passing, which is a large inflatable balloon rolling back and forth above the audience's heads until it reaches its reachable range. Everyone actively pushes the balloon because, as accepted by the host, anyone who helps the balloon will have good luck accompanying them. For this' blessing ', everyone can also be considered to be fighting for' good luck '!
Stacked Stone Flower Valley
The biggest surprise of this journey came from the Valley of Stacked Stone Flowers. I am fortunate to be a member of the media scouting this scenic spot that is about to open to the public, and to experience its unparalleled beauty in advance.
It is reported that the Stacked Stone Flower Valley is the only stacked stone art theme park and Wu Nuo culture exhibition park in the world. Layered stones were produced during the Cambrian period, about 500 million years ago, and the Nuo culture emerged in the early stages of human primitive religious history, with a history of about 10000 years. The collision of these two antique palace level elements is bound to produce dazzling sparks. The main attractions in the Dieshi Flower Valley include the December Moon God Pillar Stone Formation, Dieshi Demon Pit, Sliding Rope Canyon Landscape Area, Sanhuang Terrace, Wunuo Shrine Ruins, etc. Let tourists search for ancient wonders from these scenic spots.
However, now is the most beautiful time for Huagu, because there is a popular internet flower and grass in the park - Fendai Ranzi Grass. This kind of grass that glows pink in the sunlight makes every girl linger and unable to put it down. This kind of grass is also a magical tool for taking photos. Since its popularity on the internet, any place with this kind of grass will be extremely popular. Everyone used this girl's fan heart to leave themselves a few beautiful photos. We are no exception, take a few photos and browse our social media.
If you want to ask, the cycle of pink and black weeds is very short. If they wither, what else is there to play with in the flower valley. So I can tell you that there are different flowers blooming in the Flower Valley all year round, and there will be no seasonal time gap. Although the pink and black chaos may only last for 1-2 months, other flowers are equally stunning. In addition, the park has cultural heritage and some performance elements, so there is no need to worry about not having any fun elements when you come.
Based on my own feelings, I think Dieshi Flower Valley is a great place to take wedding photos. The scenery is beautiful, and there are some distinctive buildings. Also, weekend trips are also good, after all, after a busy week, you can immerse yourself in nature and be accompanied by flowers. Let yourself relax, it's very pleasant and comfortable!
Dieshi Flower Valley officially opened for business on October 11th and officially opened on October 26th. If you have time, you must go to this picturesque park to have fun. Leave a few beautiful photos to go viral on social media!
Gongtan Ancient Town
A river separates two places, and the emerald green Wujiang River separates Chongqing and Guizhou. On one side of the mountain is Guizhou, while on the other side is the famous millennium ancient town - Gongtan Ancient Town.
Gongtan Ancient Town does not have a strong commercial atmosphere. Even if there are some small vendors, they are local residents who do business for their livelihood. During the day, Gongtan Ancient Town is quiet. Strolling along the streets, one can observe the daily living conditions of the town's residents, which are vastly different from urban life. They are not as busy as city dwellers, they are more leisurely companions. Even small vendors seem to have an extra sense of freedom compared to businesses in the city. There are also some street vendors carrying baskets and wandering through the streets, shouting in a way that is difficult to hear in the city, like a flowing scenery. Immerse tourists in the ancient charm.
Due to its long history and moderate development, the ancient town preserves many unique treasures. For example, the bluestone street here is full of ups and downs, winding and deep. The Tujia stilted houses here are suspended in the air, creating a magnificent atmosphere. The streets are filled with lush greenery and flowers, either on the eaves or among the rafters. The famous Chinese painting master Wu Guanzhong left his painting "Old Street" here, and due to the rich cultural connotations here, such as the culture of boatmen, docks, salt merchants, and religious culture, it is colorful. Wu Guanzhong commented, 'It's Tang Street, Song City, and my grandparents' home.'.
The ancient town of Gongtan at night is even more fascinating. When night falls, the red lanterns in the town light up, and from a distance, there are scattered stars, creating a picturesque atmosphere. Walking in the town, most residents return home, only vendors are still running their businesses. A little later, the sound became quieter and eventually disappeared. Only the lantern in front of the door remains bright, indicating the direction for the night wanderers. There is no nightlife here, and residents are accustomed to waking up to the sound of birds and resting with the sunset. The more primitive and simple the life, the more urban people yearn for health.
Wujiang Gallery
In the morning, when the first ray of sunshine falls on the ancient town, a new day's life begins. If tourists have already experienced the ancient town, then you can also take a boat and experience the beauty of the Wujiang Gallery.
It is the essence of Wujiang Baili Gallery from Gongtan Ancient Town up the Wujiang River, through Tutuozi Gorge, Baiji Gorge, to Lizhi Gorge, and is famous for "strange mountains, strange rocks, clear water, dangerous beaches, covered bridges, fiber paths, and suspensions". The Qing Dynasty poet Mei Ruoweng praised the Wujiang Gallery in Gongtan Ancient Town with a poem: "The water in the mountains of Shu is unique, and this should be ranked first
During this period, you can appreciate the towering mountains and the beautiful emerald river. But if your associative ability is not good, many scenic spots cannot be immediately seen. I am such a case, the tour guide told a lot of exciting stories, but I just couldn't tell where to go and felt really ashamed.
Living in Youyang
The homestay we stayed in this time is called Qingaiwen Hotel. This hotel is not much different from ordinary homestays in terms of appearance, and in terms of decoration, it is also average. But his biggest feature is intelligence. It is reported that the entire hotel room is equipped with Xiaomi Smart Package, which means that after entering the room, you can remotely control most of the components of the room through voice control. The operation mode is also very simple. First, wake up the intelligent system "Xiao Ai". Then state your needs, such as "open the curtains", "turn on the desk lamp", "play music" and other commands, and the intelligent system can recognize them one by one. Most importantly, he can recognize the vast majority of Sichuan dialect, which can be described as very conscientious.
Let me show you the room layout. As for the intelligence part, I can only understand it.
Eating in Youyang
Youyang cuisine is mainly composed of Tujia cuisine. Among them, mung bean flour, Zhahai pepper, and other famous local dishes. Of course, spicy potatoes are also highly praised by tourists.
In addition, let me introduce the Eight Great Bowls of the Tujia people. The Eight Great Bowls originated from ancient times when the Tujia people would invite guests to dinner and banquet, usually arranging eight people per table with eight different dishes. All dishes were served in large earthen bowls, and over time, the Tujia Eight Great Bowls were named after this.
Generally speaking, the eight bowls of Tujia include eight dishes, including Braised pork belly in brown sauce, braised white meat, Bashi beef, and Taoyuan fish. The dishes are rich and delicious.
